Hey! RGQC here and good to be back, posting another chapter after that cliffhanger I left the previous chapter. Oh man, Adam and Torchwick are NOT going to have a good night going up against Lucia and Luna. Let's be honest, it's going to be curb stomp. So, PGR/BRS collab is now here and by the time I upload this, it should be almost over.
Oops…
Nevertheless, we got some comments before we begin.
Dasosiglord2 .0: Yup, both of them are in for it now! Though it does sound quite funny to imagine Lucia juggling Adam and Torchwick in the air just like in the games… Also, good to know that the quality's still up! I was worried about the quality drop.
Nitpicker420: Technically they are already together, but if you're wondering when Lucia and Luna will realise each other's familiar origins. Well, I have some plans for that.
SolSparda36: HAHAHA! Yup! Cardin is indeed way over his head, but that won't stop him! Don't worry, Lucia did give him a good thrashing when she went up against him on one of the days.
Gitaka: Well, I did technically post this chapter before December hit, so does that count?
ChoosyElk: And a new update I deliver.
ATX180: Torchwick and Adam escaping both Lucia and Luna? Nope. There're no second chances here.
Rin: Will oblige!
Five minutes before Luna received Lucia's request for assistance in Vale…
Luna POV
The past three days since our arrival to Beacon have been interesting. Arriving in Beacon and seeing its wondrous architecture, becoming teachers or attaché. According to my sister, and dealing with a love stuck student.
I… cannot deny that I find it uncanny that this student named Cardin seems to have fallen head over heels for me. Then again, the same can be said for some of the other male students in class. To a lesser extent.
I'm starting to understand why my sister points out that my choice of outfit was too eye-catching. A shame really. I've spent much time designing the delicate details of my dress with inspirations from every culture on Remnant. But I digress, the time I've spent here with my sister and Liv has been quite the experience despite the short period we've been staying here.
Furthermore, I've always been fascinated by the Huntsman Academies all over the world, and the sight of Beacon when we first arrived was awe-inspiring and seemed just like a castle in a fairy tale compared to the more futuristic and utilitarian designs of Atlas.
Makes me curious about how the Academies of Haven and Shade would look in person.
If I wasn't bound to Atlas.
As for Liv, she has been busy volunteering with the doctors and nurses in Beacon's infirmaries and has developed a reputation by both the staff and students for showing nothing but kindness and empathy to others. In addition to her experience as a field medic and in-depth knowledge of the Human and Faunus biology makes her an effective nurse.
Presently, at around 2300 at night, and Lucia departed an hour ago. Which is notably unusual of her, since the past three days she would be in our designated quarters around this time. However, this instant, she left the dorm under the premise that there's a matter that requires her attention.
It is notable that she fails to mention what situation requires her attention close to midnight in Vale.
I would have given a query as to the reason for her departure once she comes back.
"Luna," My head perked up and turned towards Liv on the bed with a book about Vale Beacon in her hands while I was in the midst of performing maintenance checks on my arm with bits of it floating around me.
"Where do you think Lucia went off to?" She asks as I find myself narrowing my eyes.
[Unable to draw a conclusion.]
…
[Reason: Lack of information on the explanation why Lucia Alpha departs Beacon.]
"Unknown." I answered truthfully.
"My sister didn't give much of a reason for her departure. Will ask her the details as soon as she comes back." I explain as I bring my attention back to my arm, which still needs to be maintained.
"Why not just ask her right now? We can message or call her, can we?" Liv suggests. Yes. We can do that, but every action my sister takes has a purpose and reason behind them. She would never do things for the sake of doing things.
But… There's a part of me that feels that she's hiding something from us.
From everyone.
I don't know, it's just this feeling I get around Lucia. It's like she's familiar to me and I just know that Lucia's not telling the whole story for whatever the reason. Even then, I believe that she has good intentions about why she fails to provide additional information.
Though I wish she would tell us instead of leaving us out of it for whatever the reason.
"That is a solution indeed. However, I respect her decisions and must have a reason why she refrains from explaining the specifics. Will still request a query about why later." I said as a piece of my arm floats back into place before I screw it in shut with a click.
"Oh… Okay." Liv mutters as I picked up her flipping a page and just for a moment, the peace of silence washed over our dorm.
However, the silence didn't last long when a message requesting for assistance from Lucia suddenly appeared in my eyes that made me jump straight out of my seat!
[Receiving request of assistance from Lucia Alpha. Data package received.]
What… What is that thing?
That's no ordinary Beowolf from what I understand…
No…
This thing…
It's made from corrupted nanomachines designated Grimm Virus! How did it get there and how is it possible for Merlot to create such an abomination! The situation is critical, and I understand why my sister called for my aid on the matter.
Perhaps I can use the situation as a chance to get some answers out of her.
"Luna? Is something wrong?" Liv asks me while I glance at her with the rest of the components of my arm reconnecting back into me as I did a quick scan with my Hud.
[Right arm maintenance paused.]
[No detectable issues, however, maintenance must be resumed to ensure proper function.]
Understood. I'll have to finish it later.
"Lucia has requested my immediate assistance in a situation." I answered calmly as I flew towards the window and opened it gently to not break it.
"An infamous criminal by the name of Roman Torchwick appears to be in a collaboration with Dr Merlot and Racher according to Lucia. In addition, a Beowolf made from Grimm Virus is also detected and requires immediate termination to ensure cross contamination does not occur."
"How? How is that possible?" Liv asks me with shock on her face as my veil dress forms over me, as does my black gas mask with my weapons forming behind me.
"Inconclusive for now. But will seek evidence on how it is possible." I shook my head. With that, I took off into the darkness of the night skies and straight for the location provided inside the data package I've received. Why is my sister in the industrial districts of Vale in the first place?
Perhaps I'll know the answer once I reach there…
Flying through the night over Vale filled Luna with a sense of déjà vu as she headed straight for the designated location her sister had helpfully provided her with. Though, many questions still fill her thoughts. Like, how did that Beowolf come into existence? And how is it there to begin with? Many calculations and theories flood Luna's mind but only one thing matters.
That 'thing' needs to be wiped clean before it spreads and infects someone! Even if they happened to be part of a terrorist organisation. Along with that, should news break out that such a Grimm exists, it will cause confusion and panic that would make the incident at the docks look child's play by comparison!
Pushing her Semblance even further, Luna blasts off until she finally reaches the location, and she immediately detects Lucia's recognisable signature inside a warehouse. Even more were the scroll signatures of eighteen White Fang members and two important targets, who are Roman Torchwick and Adam Taurus.
Truth be told, Luna find's the White Fang's cause admirable and understands why they are today, but she heavily disapproves of their decision to resort to violence to achieve their rights. In her eyes, such actions are extremely short-sighted and only benefit them in the short term and not the long term.
And this is not just her calculations stating it on all available data and predictions, but her personal thoughts as well. Upon reading what she could on Adam Taurus in less than a second, which was hard due to the lack of data, Luna could only conclude that the bull Faunus is a potential threat to the stability of the Kingdoms with his volatile nature and a vendetta against Humanity.
Though the reason why is currently unknown until discovered.
Even then, Luna can tell that Adam's grievances against Humanity are somewhat justified with how his people were treated, though she frowns heavily on his surprisingly growing kill count against those who go against the Fang, especially employees belonging to the Schnee company.
Yes, she and Lucia were created as literal weapons. But she has no doubt that neither of them would resort to violence as the first option when there are others available. Especially Lucia, who's trying to redeem herself for her sins.
As for Torchwick, Luna just sees him as a criminal scum that needs to be arrested and locked away for his crimes based on his records alone, which are long.
Pushing her thoughts away, Luna came in like a wrecking ball and smashed through one of the warehouse windows to see her sister in an interesting… choice of outfit surrounded by unconscious White Fang grunts as well as that abomination not too far from her location.
"Apologies for the late coming, sister, but you needed some help?" Luna greets calmly while her sister points Benizakura straight at the machine Beowolf without moving her neck away.
"Yes. Deal with the Grimm abomination while I deal with the terrorist and criminal. I'll explain the details later."
As much as Luna would want to know the details on how her sister managed to stumble across a hidden White Fang warehouse that happens to have both Adam and Torchwick in the same area, that can wait until the matter has been dealt with.
"Understood." With that, Luna turns her optics onto the abomination snarling at her, with her sister moving in to engage as she brings her hands up and sends her swords at the Grimm.
Lucia's POV
Well, it's time to get this show on the road and time to deal with Torchwick and Adam.
Speaking of which.
[All signals jammed within 20 metres of Lucia Alpha. There will be no transmission input or output until the jammer is disabled.]
Good.
A trick I recorded and adapted for my own use after I went up against BPB-26 all those months ago. With it possessing the ability to jam all comms and using it on me, it only made sense to learn how to create the same jamming frequency, so I can use it against any future opponents or allow me to adapt and change the frequency of my signals to bypass any future jamming attempt.
Furthermore, the concept of electrical warfare is clearly no existent on Remnant since everyone's more focused on surviving the Grimm, and I fully intend to abuse it to the fullest to my advantage! Though, I should give an explanation to Luna what happened since I'm sure that this jamming frequency would affect her as it is affecting Roman and Adam's scroll
And let the general know of this ability I replicated and created…
I'm not sure what he's going to do with this information, but it will likely assure him that I'm still on Humanity's side.
Back to reality, with all of Adam's boys knocked out on the floor earlier, I pick up the bull Faunus growling at me at my sudden action. "What the hell are you?" He says while getting into his stance. As for Torchwick, I think he's about to devolve into a panic mode with a spike of adrenaline detected in his system.
Actually, both of them have adrenaline in their systems. But Adam's more composed and no doubt more dangerous. Though… I think the battle of the docks must have spooked him this much to see him reacting like this.
"What am I?" I said as I glanced at my sister engaging that abomination by sending her swords at it before looking back at Adam. "None of your business. Now yield and drop your weapons while you still can. If you try to run, it will go poorly for you." I explain while moving my optics to Torchwick taking his scroll out and frantically tapping on his scroll while cursing audibly at the same time.
[Roman Torchwick is attempting to call for backup. Jamming is in full effect.]
[Combat protocols enabled.]
"Signals jammed. No one will come to save you two." I deadpanned before getting a panicked response from the criminal mastermind himself while I closed the distance towards him and Adam.
"I know a weirdo when I see one. But this is getting ridiculous!" Roman yelled out as he kept his scroll and pointed his cane at me, as the end of it opened up. "First you showed up at the docks with those other people and somehow chased those things off! Now you're here for me! I don't even know who you are!" He yells before firing a fire Dust straight for me.
But the shot was so telegraphed that I simply tilted my head to the right for it to zip past me as I drew Benizakura at Torchwick's cane. I'm intrigued why no one does it, but why doesn't anyone disarm the other side by destroying their weapons? Way easier since very few seem to learn about hand-to-hand combat and rely solely on their weapons.
Except maybe only Yang and a few others, who mainly fight in hand-to-hand combat.
Though before my blade could knock Torchwick's cane aside, a warning blared out in a millisecond that Adam's trying to hit me from the side.
[Attack on the left aimed for the neck, incoming.]
After reading my Hud in a millisecond, I immediately responded by bringing Benizakura's sheath up and blocking Adam's rather poor attempt to stop me with an audible clang. But A for effort I must say. Though my assumption that Adam's willingness to kill is correct since he went straight for my neck and with enough momentum and force to lop off someone's head without aura.
"Not going to work." I mutter with my eyes narrowed, while Adam snarls at me as soon as I block his strike. "You're going to have to try harder than that!" I countered before shoving Adam back with enough force to send him skiing back before I brought my attention back to Torchwick clearing some distance as he began firing some shots directly at me.
"While it is unlikely that Adam and Torchwick can defeat me, I need to take them out non-lethally if I am to interrogate more data out of them related to Cinder and, perhaps, Merlot and Racher. But none of them must escape tonight."
My thoughts whisper while I easily dodge Torchwick's pitiful attempt to hit me as I close the distance again. Knocking him out or disarming him would allow me to dedicate my full attention to Adam and while he is indeed a bigger threat than Torchwick, the criminal's more likely to flee the scene if given the chance since he knows how outmatched he is.
Even so, I'm NOT letting him escape again, and it is required that I keep an eye out for Neo.
[There's an 89.4532% chance Neopolitan will intervene should any harm be brought to Roman Torchwick due to close ties between the two.]
[Suggested countermeasures: Recommend enhancing audio receptors to pick up inconsistent audio should Neo attempt to interfere.]
[It is unknown if her illusions can affect Lucia Alpha. Caution is advised.]
Bringing Benizakura to the side, I sent a quick slash towards Torchwick, but the criminal acted quick enough to barely block my attack. But unfortunately for him, that's what I wanted to happen, as the sheer force transferred caused a crack in his cane to form and sent him stumbling back.
Then, exploiting his sudden exposed weakness, I send a haymaker deep into his chest and launch him into the wall with a crash and him letting out a groan before falling unconscious. Torchwick's lucky to have an aura, or my fist would have been clean through his chest.
"Thought this would go a bit longer…" I found myself muttering to myself. There's a part of me that wishes that every fight won't be a cakewalk like this small fight against Torchwick himself. Seeing how he managed to be relatively on par with the main cast, it's saying how broken my father made me when I defeated him in less than a minute without any trouble.
Then again, he was in the midst of a state of panic based on his internal vials going nuts and adrenaline flooding his circulatory system. So that affected his performance by a wide margin.
While I pondered only for about a second, an alarm barked in my head and without care or concern, I raised Benizakura just over my head and blocked Adam's attack from behind. I was under the assumption that he would have shot me instead of going for a melee attack, but I guess not in this case. Even more when I picked up a soft gasp coming from him behind me.
Looks like he wasn't expecting me to react this quickly to an attack.
Shame on him.
"What? Think I've forgotten about you so easily?" I spoke slowly before bringing up my leg forward and launching it backwards in a sidekick directly at Adam's chest while standing on one leg. Though he managed to act quick enough to bring Bush up to tank my kick, the amount of force transferred was still enough to send him sliding back as he grunted.
[Miniscule cracks are beginning to form on Bush.]
[Disarming or destroying Adam's weapon will render him defenceless.]
And that's what I intend to do.
"Draw your weapons, Taurus," I said as I pointed Benizakura at his face while he recovered from my kick. "Show me what you can do."
And thus, from one iaijutsu practitioner to another, let's see who's the best here.
Spoiler alert.
I'm going to beat his ass and break his sword like a toothpick.
While Lucia was busy with Adam in a sword fight that resembled more like a dance in battle, Luna was in the middle of her fight against the Grimm abomination, and it's proven to be more of a hassle for various reasons. Mainly because this 'thing' is much more resistant to damage and hits harder than any normal Grimm that should.
Furthermore, the ability to regenerate rapidly from its wounds is another thing of major concern.
Total purification would be required to stop it from potentially spreading and infecting someone coming into contact. Though, while she and that thing were fighting, a notice appeared in her optics.
[Priority alert! Signal jamming frequency detected emitting from Lucia Alpha.]
[All signals are disrupted until the effect stops, or a new transmission frequency is made to counter the effects.]
[Calculated reason for signal jamming in effect...]
…
[Roman Torchwick and Adam Taurus are now isolated from reinforcements.]
[Chances of either of them successfully escaping 2.456%]
"Huh… I wonder how my sister managed to create something like this?"
Luna wonders to herself as she swipes the mechanical Beowolf's arm with a halberd in her arms before her swords come down like missiles onto it. "Another query that requires a conclusion, it seems."
She concludes right when it became clear that the Beowolf abomination wasn't done at all when it suddenly snatched one of Luna's flying swords out of the air and bites into it, which visibly stunned Luna for the first time right as her Hud rang out a warning.
[Alert! Machine Beowolf is devouring Luna Laurel's nanomachines and converting them to more Grimm Viruses to recover.]
[Threat level increased to extremely dangerous.]
"Tch, not on my watch."
She frowns before one of her spheres floating behind her shoots out like a cannon and smashes into the abomination so hard and fast that it launches it off the ground into several crates, while Luna recalls what's left of her sword with her eyes firmly on it behind the mask.
"So, it can heal by doing this… How bothersome…."
Luna mutters to herself as the Beowolf snarls as it stands back up and begins grabbing debris around it and throwing them directly at Luna, with each of them slightly tainted with the Grimm Virus.
Without even looking or even batting an eye, Luna swiftly brought one of her hands up and her eyes simmered in a tinge of red for a second as every single debris thrown at her froze in place before swinging her palm to the side and launching every single projectile back at the Grimm who simply growls as it dodges every single projectile with unnatural agility.
Right before it found itself impaled right through the chest when Luna creates an elegant spear and long while it dodges, and before it could do anything else. Luna twists her spear and nanomachines of blue begin pouring out of it and out of Luna's vents and begin to coat the Mechanical Beowolf who howls from the agony it's experiencing.
Even more, Luna's sword swiftly impales its limbs to hold it in place as she begins the process of tearing it molecularly apart from the chest first.
While all that was happening, Lucia was in the middle of a clash against Adam with both constantly trading hits with Adam, occasionally trying to shoot her with Bush only to miss thanks to her dizzyingly fast reaction speeds.
With a final clash between Benizakura and Wilt, both were sent skiing back with Adam's hair and parts of his dress coat glowing as he prepares to unleash Moonslice in the shadow of darkness while Lucia's sliver left eye simmers with power as she sheaths her sword and got into her stance.
In what felt longer than a second, both combatants close in for a final confrontation, with Adam bringing Moonslice to full power through Wilt with a snarl, while Lucia pours more power into Benizakura right as the mechanical Beowolf's howl echoed the warehouse.
[Notice. Luna Laurel is attempting to neutralise the abomination by molecularly disassembling it.]
[Time to completion, 5 minutes.]
"Luna, I hope you are controlling what you are doing, sister." Lucia glances at her sister doing something to the abomination struggling before looking back at Adam closing in and drawing Bush for a final blow against his opponent. Unfortunately for him, his opponent had a plan in mind and as soon as the bull Faunus brought his sword and semblance to bear, it was too late.
"Alas Adam, it was nice to know you through your blade, if you weren't who you are, I think we could have got along through our skill alone…" She softly laments.
Activating Matrix mode, time slows to a crawl as Lucia pours just enough power that Benizakura begins to crackle with red power. With a single slash of her own, it went through Wilt with Moonslice active and shattered into two in Adam's hand before time resumed.
"What?!" Adam just exploded in shock upon time resuming and seeing Wilt in two, with the other piece clinking on the ground. Lucia simply raised an eyebrow beneath her snow-white hair with Benizakura still in hand, while her opponent lost his cool.
"How did you do this! What are you? No human can shatter weapons through aura!"
"True. But, hit anything with enough force, and even Aura cannot protect you fully." Lucia says as she sheaths Benizakura. "Besides, my target is not you. But your weapon. I have been getting information about you that Wilt and Bush are your only weapons, aren't they?"
Adam's eyes widened beneath his mask as he took a step back and glanced at what remained of Wilt. The whole time, he had not realised that this woman had been slowly breaking Wilt throughout their fight by hitting strategically at the same spot over and over again with such precision that he failed to notice the growing internal damage building up until it's too late.
Had Adam realised this sooner, he would have changed tactics or even attempted to flee from this losing battle instead of engaging head on if it wasn't for his grudge against humanity that compelled him to challenge this woman.
"Well then, have a goodnight." Those were the last words Adam head before Lucia suddenly vanishes into thin air before beating the ever-living shit out of him at such speeds that he falls unconscious instantly from the sudden shock erupting all over his body despite his aura protecting him, with Lucia even taking the opportunity to snatch Blush of his hip and snap it into two like twigs.
"Funny, despite how aura can protect the body from physical harm, inflicting enough pain or blunt trauma at one go can make their bodily pressure drop just enough to pass anyone out."
Lucia thought to herself while dusting her hands at Adam's unconscious heap on the floor with his mask shattered. "Goodness. Now that I have a look at that scar on his face, that's horrible that Jacques had done this… Perhaps there's an opportunity to do something against that corrupted man before he gets some ideas…"
[Warning! Detecting Neopolitan's scroll signatures nearby!]
"About time she shows up… You won't escape with Torchwick again."
While all that was happening, Luna was still in the midst of neutralising the mechanical Grimm abomination, but all attempts have been met with stiff resistance so far. Even more, despite coating it in a thick layer of her nanomachines to contain and sterilise it, the Beowolf has shown to be quite vocal as it howls in agony and struggles against the bindings that hold it in place.
It is also noted that its…
Bleeding…
Black blood made from pure Grimm essence pours out of its injuries that seems to taint anything that touches it before dissipating into nothing upon contact with the floor.
[Alert. Recommend immediate destruction of the abomination.]
[Further delays increase the chances of cross-contamination with Luna and the surrounding environment.]
[High-risk of unknown factors occurring, however.]
Luna's eyes narrowed down upon reading what appeared in her optics.
She's taking too long and the more time she spends on trying to contain this thing, the higher chance she could get infected, or the surroundings would be tainted by this thing. Immediate termination of the abomination will be required.
However, it's an incredibly risky option since it would be difficult to predict how the operation would turn out without proper containment.
Time's on the essence, and Luna will do what needs to be done.
Relaxing her grip on her spear to free her hands, Luna's hand quickly was engulfed in a layer of nanomachines as it began to glow a fiery blue from the amount of power redirected to her palm. Swiftly, as it begins to glow hot, she shoves it onto the Beowolf abomination's face and forces a command to all Nanomachines within it.
Upon contact, the Beowolf could only howl in agony and struggle around in desperation to free itself, as its face began to literally melt with its essence dissipating into nothing. A kill switch designed to shut down all Nanomachines has been transmitted.
However, the issue is, the command cannot be transmitted wirelessly as a precaution and can only be done from contact to contact, which means Luna would be putting herself at great risk.
But it must be done.
For the good of all, Luna will end this thing now.
Lucia POV
After dealing with Adam, and aware of Neo's scroll signature closing in, I slowly made my way towards Torchwick's unconscious body lying not too far from me. Knowing everything I understand about Neo and her tactics, she would likely initiate a surprise attack on me, especially should I have my back turned or about to hurt Torchwick.
As much as I feel awful to say this, I have full intentions of using Torchwick as a hostage to get her to stand down and perhaps, just perhaps, surrender. Of course, should she choose to keep fighting to protect him, I'll have to take her down and knock her out.
It should be easily dealt with if that happens.
Shuffling closer to Torchwick's unconscious body, I immediately pick up soft footsteps closing in that are not that abomination's howling or my sister doing something to that thing with her palm in its face.
Taking a glance was enough to give me an understanding of my sister's work.
[Luna Laurel has uploaded a kill switch programme into the Abomination.]
[Abomination will now cease to exist in less than a minute at the cost of highly increased cross-contamination.]
Risky decision to make sister… but it should work…
I've heard about this kill switch programme before… Dr Watts found out about this special feature upon further study on father's nanomachines months back. It appears that if this code is received, it would cause all machines receiving this code to shut down. But it cannot be transmitted wirelessly.
Which is an interesting feature, but calculations suggest that this perk exists to prevent any potential exploitation of our weaknesses by shutting down every single Nanomachines that flows in my body as well as Luna, Penny and those kept back in Atlas in one go.
Unfortunately, since you cannot transmit the kill switch wirelessly, it means that it needs to be delivered in proximity.
Which is a problem since my sister's risking herself to cross-contamination.
Now, then, besides that interesting thought, it is time to lure Neo out.
Bringing Benizakura out of its sheath, I get into my stance to 'end' Torchwick's criminal reign of terror upon Vale when I finally hear Neo making her move with the sound of shattered glass right behind me!
"There!" Already predicting where she would aim for, my whole body bent close to the ground as her parasol with a blade extended from the tip missed be by a wide margin where my head would be as I swung Benizakura above me and knocking Hush over Neo's head, much to her dismay based on her facial expression.
Unfortunately, she still has a good grip on it. It would've been much more convenient for me if it flew out of her hand.
Standing back up straight with my hood down and hair flowing free after countering Neo's attempt to pierce me in the back of the head, it was apparent that she quickly recovers from my counterattack and now is giving a frown. Based on previous knowledge and data, Neo is usually known for playing with her food.
However, her failure to get the drop on me and my counterattack must have caused a significant alarm on her part and likely influenced her to take this fight seriously. I might be able to get her to stand down if I pull this off correctly.
With Benizakura in hand, I pointed it straight at Torchwick's neck not too far from me as I caught Neo visibly flinching with her body language cracking a bit. "I do not desire his death. But the information he withholds on his masters. Should I get it, I will let him go. But I need him to be cooperative." I explain while keeping my eyes on her.
[Overclocking audio receptors.]
Oh, that's going to take some time to get used to. Nevertheless, I can hear everything now and will know if Neo used her semblance to hide her presence. Even then, she still stood there giving me one hell of a death glare as if threatening to make my life a living hell if I do anything to Torchwick.
I might need to sweeten my words to hopefully encourage her to stand down.
"If you let me go with him, I vow to ensure no harm can come to him and perhaps…" I said as I lowered Benizakura to the floor. "I'll free him from his chains so you and him can run free. How does that sound to you? Wouldn't it sound exciting to have his bindings broken from whoever controls him?"
Neo silently furrowed her brows at me as her eyes softly glanced towards Torchwick still kissing the floor. It's still difficult to tell if this is really her or just an illusion to mask her plans to escape with her boss.
Then, as if surrendering to my request, Neo vanished and left me and Roman alone.
[Neopolitan have left the immediate area. Roman Torchwick, captured.]
"Can't believe I managed to get her to back off…"
I thought to myself before turning to my sister slowly floating towards me with a ball of black liquid floating above her left hand and the mask on her face dissolving. "It is done, sister." She says as I nod my head.
"Roman Torchwick and Adam Taurus secured. Status?" I asked as her eyes ended up on the black ball of… something. Is that the Grimm essence I saw back when I infiltrated Merlot's laboratory?
"No cross contamination detected from exposure. Machine Grimm abomination, terminated." That's what I want to hear, Luna. Glad to see that you're not infected by the Grimm Virus, I shudder to imagine what would happen if one of us were tainted by it. The next second, I got a follow-up from my sister.
"Forced Query. What is all this about? Why are you here in Vale at this time, pursuing Roman Torchwick and Adam Taurus? What is the purpose of this event?" She asked, as I found Torchwick more interesting to look at than the almost ticked off look my sister's giving me.
[Forced Query detected. Recommend explaining the hidden purpose designated to Luna Laurel.]
There's really no other way to get out of this situation, huh?
Well… I trust her enough.
"Understood. On the day I reawakened, my father gave me one final order." I began as I looked into my sister's optics. "Protect this world from anyone who dares harm those who inhabit it. Roman Torchwick and Adam Taurus were in my sights for evidence of a conspiracy based on all data gathered from their scrolls."
Glancing back at Roman's unconscious body, I continued. "Tonight's incident has only reinforced my calculations that Roman Torchwick and Adam Taurus are working for someone, and whoever their superior is, they're collaborating with Dr Merlot and Racher."
"To think the Doctor is willing to give that abomination to criminals and terrorists…" My sister mutters as she brings her free hand up and manifests four handcuffs. "Sister, what do you intend to do with those two?" Well… Mostly just drill them for information, to be honest.#
And Cinder… If I can neutralise her early, Salem's plot to bring down Beacon can be stopped in its tracks and push her plans back for years, I estimate. Perhaps enough time to deal with all current threats if things go as I predict.
"Interrogation. Both possess knowledge about who their master is, and I intend to find out who and deal with them before whoever they are can execute their plot. The recent thieving of Dust by Roman Torchwick and increased White Fang activity in Vale. In addition to their unnatural cooperation. Leads to suggestions that a severe plot is going to happen in the Kingdom."
I continued explaining as I handcuffed both Roman and Adam's limbs after taking them off my sister's hands, as my sister nodded her head. "Understood." She mutters softly. "Query again. Should we inform the General of this event?"
[Notice. General Ironwood would react exceedingly poorly to Lucia operating autonomously outside his command.]
[Despite severe risks should it be revealed to him, General Ironwood must be kept under wraps until further notice or appropriate reveal.]
"Negative." My sister's optics immediately shot open in disbelief, while shaking my head. "For now. The general will react negatively to my actions tonight for operating autonomously from his command. But I need to see this done. With this evidence, it could give us a glimpse into others that pose a threat to the stability of the world."
"And where will they be held while you interrogate them?" Good question Luna, good thing I have an idea where to lock them up. Somewhere people won't normally keep them imprisoned.
"Onboard the Griffin. It is the most secure place to incarcerate them." I explain as I gently pick up Adam from the floor alongside the shattered remains of his weapons, as I look at my sister, still pondering in her thoughts.
"Luna, if you can be of assistance, help me pick Torchwick up and transport him to my bike outside the warehouse. We need to evaluate the area. Meet me back in our dorm in Beacon, and I'll answer any remaining questions you may possess." With that, we made our departure from the scene, and news of what happened came in the next morning with none aware of what actually happened.
Nevertheless, despite the news breaking out of what happened, the General remains unaware of my involvement for now in addition to holding my targets in custody, and I think I'll interrogate them for information soon enough.
After all, they are part of my plans to stop Cinder before she causes an unwanted crisis.
Even more so when it appears that she's working with Racher…
And cut! Sorry, this took much longer than it should. (Damn you procrastination, my worst enemy!) But at last. The next chapter is done and well… It's mostly just involving the fight between the sisters against Torchwick, Adam and that machine Grimm.
With two of Cinder's (unwilling) followers now arrested and her ties to Racher and Merlot suspected, how long do you guys think before Lucia comes after her ass? And just for fun, do you think a Half Maiden Cinder stands a chance against Lucia? I mean magic could turn the ties, but I honestly doubt seeing how broken I made constructs.
Not likely unless Cinder uses electricity…
Anywho, I hope you all enjoy seeing Lucia trashing Torchwick and Adam while Luna neutralises the Grimm abomination, cos the next chapter is going to take a while to come by.
With that out of the way, if you enjoy this story, do follow and favourite it, so I know you want more in the future! And while at it, do leave a review of what you think of this chapter, as I enjoy reading it and replying to it!
I will see you people in the next chapter eventually!
RGQC out.
