Ch1
Reyna hang in there. Percy's heart raced in his chest as he flew the chariot with Butch son of Iris. A little while ago his girlfriend Reyna had disappeared from camp; no one knew where she had gone and neither did her sister who was strangely quiet. The result was that he was searching far and wide for his girlfriend along with most people at the camp. Please be safe.
The only clue he had was to go to the Grand Canyon with the son of Iris and search for a person without a shoe. Now normally he would be cautious flying in the air but technically the chariot was being pulled by pegasi which were his father's domain. Also the fact that Olympus had closed itself off was another good excuse.
"The Grand Canyon should be up ahead," Butch said.
He nodded. "Lets go."
As they landed on the deck of the Grand Canyon he noticed a blonde haired guy with a purple shirt holding a golden sword behind him were two teens a girl and a Hispanic kid. The blonde haired guy looked have daze while the other two looked at him with apprehension.
"What's going on where is Reyna?" he asked as he got off.
The blonde looked at him curiously. "Who?" The boy looked dazed as if he had just woken up from a deep sleep.
He sighed and shook his head. "She isn't here." Reyna where did you go?
From behind the three kids a satyr popped up. "I am Coach Hedge and I'm in charge of these demigods."
"Excuse me?" The girl asked sounding offended.
He looked up at the sky and sighed. I guess this was another quest. Looking at the three kids he couldn't help but feel sorry for them, but if they knew something about Reyna he needed to know. "Alright come on let me get you somewhere safe."
Geez they look as if they've been through hell.
The satyr nodded. "Come on you three. We'll take you to the camp."
The three hesitantly got onto the chariot and introduced themselves as Jason, Piper, and Leo. "So you three are demigods?"
Piper's brow furrowed as her gaze hardened. "Excuse me? Who do you think you are?"
"He means if one who is half human and half god," Jason said.
He rolled his eyes. "Yeah demigods." Looking them over he could tell that they most likely were by how rugged they looked, they had the eyes of someone who had seen a lot in life. "Anyway I was looking for my girlfriend Reyna, you three haven't seen her by any chance."
Jason scratched his head. "I haven't. But I don't know much, sorry."
"Yeah I would've known if a pretty lady would've come by," Leo said with a grin. "So what's this camp like anyway? Are there a lot of hot chicks there?"
He stared at the kid incredulously and shook his head. "You'll like I'm sure," he muttered as he looked at the sky. Wherever you are Reyna please be safe.
Their relationship had only been for a few months but since it started they had been getting along well. He honestly cared and loved her deeply and the fact that she just disappeared worried him greatly and he had been doing all he could to find her.
He did his best to answer Jason, Piper, and Leo's questions about demigods. They seemed alright for the most part but something inside of him told him Jason was off about him that made the hairs on his neck stand up.
After a few hours they landed in camp. "Man I'm tired," Leo said as he stretched his arms. Suddenly a hammer appeared about his head. "What's that?"
"Vulcan," Jason said.
He raised an eyebrow. "No Hephaestus."
"I don't even like Star Trek," Leo said.
A group of campers began to gather around. "Looks like we have a new camper," Beckendorf said as Malcolm and other campers gathered around them.
"I'll leave Leo to you," he said. "Beckendorf is also a son of Hephaestus."
"Sweet. Are there any girls there?" Leo asked with a glint in his eyes.
Are you serious? "Well good luck. Malcolm take Piper, I'll show Jason to Chiron."
"But I want to be with Jason," Piper protested as she latched herself onto Jason's arm.
Jason rolled his eyes. "I'm fine. I really am."
"I can show her around," said a voice. Turning around he saw Annabeth. The daughter of Athena wore her usual camp outfit, she had recently cut her hair short which matched the dead look in her eyes that she always seemed to have.
"Um sure. Piper this is Annabeth she'll guide you around camp," he said calmly. It wasn't easy being around her since they were enemies in the past but he had been trying to build some sort of bridge with her.
"Come on I'll be fine," Jason said. "Go with her."
Piper sighed her gaze betraying disappointment. "Fine. Jason we'll see each other later ok?"
Jason nodded. "Of course."
"Well come on lets show you to Chiron," he said motioning for the blonde to follow him.
"So you remember absolutely nothing?"
The blonde shook his head. "Nothing at all sorry. A few hours ago I woke up in a bus and Leo said we were friends and Piper said we are dating." Jason shook his head his gaze betraying sorrow. "I honestly remember nothing."
He sighed. "I'm sure your memories will come back eventually." As they approached the Big House Chiron came out. "Hey Chiron, this is Jason Grace we saved him from the Grand Canyon."
The centaur looked at Jason and his purple shirt, the color draining from his face. "You should be dead."
He scratched his head as the air became tense as if a bomb were about to go off. "Uh yeah he doesn't remember anything and Reyna wasn't there."
Chiron sighed, his face paling. "I would never have imagined it would've come to this. Percy give me some time with him please. Mr. Grace please come with me."
Jason looked at him and then Chiron. "Uh sure. See you around Percy."
He nodded. "You too." The blonde nodded as he followed Chiron into the Big House. Well that was weird. He rubbed his head before heading back to his cabin.
As he entered he sighed as he looked at where his brother Chrysaor used to sleep. I hope you're doing ok man. Walking over to the wall he looked where Backbiter hung, his brother took the sword from Luke their first summer together.
I hope being a god isn't driving you insane. Ever since Olympus closed his immortal siblings had to limit communication with him, though of the two Chrysaor still talked to him.
He sighed as he went over to the water fountain, he grabbed a drachma and willed the water to make a small rainbow. "Oh goddess Iris show my Chrysaor."
The water shimmered in the air as he saw the image of his brother on his ship sailing around. Chrysaor looked up and waved at him. "Hey Percy." His brother still wore his golden mask but his figure looked more lean than when he last saw him but that may have been due to the fact that his brother was a minor deity now and could change his appearance at will.
"Hey Chris how have things been?"
Chrysaor shrugged. "Can't complain. I've been busy in the Caribbean, anything new about Reyna?"
He shook his head. "No still no sign of her. But I saved a guy named Jason along with these two other demigods."
"Don't worry I'll keep an eye out for her," Chrysaor said.
"Thanks. Any news from Triton?" Their eldest brother was being forced to not talk to him as much since Olympus was supposed to be closed off.
"I saw him a few weeks ago tending to our father's forces in the South Atlantic. I'll send him your regards," Chrysaor said. "Oh got to go now, I have to clear pirates from this area."
"See you around," he said as the message ended. He sighed and looked at the water. Be safe.
"Everything ok Percy?"
Turning around he saw Calypso enter the cabin. "Hey just talking with my brother." Calypso had been allowed to stay in his cabin until she figured out what she wanted to do in life. So far she decided on just helping out around camp. "You ok?"
Calypso sat on her bed and fixed her hair. "Yeah. Still getting used to this modern world. So many things have happened."
He sighed as he looked up at the cabin wall. "Yeah you got that right." Since the defeat of Kronos he had been helping the camp and new campers. They had their ups and downs but most of it was fine, except for the instance when Beckendorf's dragon temporarily went berserk.
"I hope you find Reyna; she was nice," Calypso said as she took out a comb and began to comb her hair.
"Yeah she was," he muttered. "How is it being an assistant director?"
Calypso sighed. "A little tiring. Honestly my magic isn't that strong, it's so weird being mortal now." A bit of pain passed over her eyes. "But it's something I take day by day."
"Well you can take all the time you need," he said. "You've been away from this world for ages, now you can live your own life."
Since Calypso got back she was assigned to help Chiron with the various chores and activities. She had some talent but her magical powers had been decreasing since she lost her immortality and became mortal. She was learning how to adapt to things in the modern world, some things better than others.
"I'm going to talk to Chiron let me know if you need anything."
Calypso nodded. "Be safe. Whatever is going on we'll need to prepare."
He looked at her and nodded as he exited the cabin. The sky was darkening as a cold breeze passed through the area. "Three new demigods, what could Hera have meant?" He had no clue what was going on but he knew that they along with Reyna were connected with something.
As he approached the Big House he noticed Annabeth and Rachel having an intense conversation with Chiron. "Please let me go, I know they have something to do with this quest," Annabeth said.
Chiron sighed. "Lets just wait and see first. I'm not authorizing anything yet."
"Authorizing what?" he asked as he approached them.
Rachel smiled. "Hey Percy I was just going to-" She froze, her body turning rigid as green smoke exited her mouth. "Sea and wisdom shall lead. The owl and torch shall guide each other. The tides shall sweep all the foes. The lost shall find their home."
A prophecy. He stared in shock as Rachel staggered back coughing. "Sorry," She said still getting used to it."
"Is that prophecy for both of us?" he asked incredulously.
"Probably but we must not ignore it.," Chiron said as he looked at him and Annabeth. "The sea and wisdom shall lead. I believe that is you two."
"Us?" He raised an eyebrow as he looked Annabeth over. They weren't exactly on the best terms with each other, mainly because she helped Kronos in the last war and was Luke's second in command.
Annabeth frowned and looked at the ground not saying a word. Honestly she mostly kept to herself and stayed in her cabin avoiding most people especially him. Not that he knew what he would even want to say to her.
Chiron nodded. "Both of you. Things are going to happen here I can feel and the camp needs you both to lead."
He sighed and ran his hand through his hair. "I don't know what's going on but whatever the gods have planned we cannot remain divided."
Annabeth avoided his gaze as the mood settled among them. Chiron stepped forward. "Whatever past grievances we must now prepare for whatever challenge is coming our way. "The next prophecy will be happening soon and we must be prepared."
AN: Due to Heroes of Olympus taking place over a shorter period of time this story will be shorter. Also I will focus more on Percy who will be defending the camp instead of the equivalent of the seven for this story. Also I will upload a lot of chapters at once in stead of weekly, this won't be as long as Brotherhood.
