This is a Danmachi and Freezing Fanfiction only, other franchises will be included.
Once again Hector and Hiro returned from another mission, this time was once again to another Freezing Merged Reality, it seemed that the popularity of the series had caused several merged realities to be created. The very idea is that fans find similarities between two forms of fiction, and if the number of them was sufficient enough, in the multiverse the two series would merge into one of these merged realities. When people looked at it from a natural occurrence they did occur but usually only once or twice every decade, but this was not the case now.
Two dark versions of the two friends were actively either causing the merger between realities, creating some, or corrupting the ones that were just created. Hector and his wife knew that they did this for solely one reason, to feed off the chaos that their changes created, these two evil versions of them fed on the chaos and deaths they caused, and thus by doing this, they gained power.
Hiro had another theory that they did this in order to simply piss them off, and be annoying pests, much like these evil copies, Hector and Hiro also gained power from going to these merged realities, but unlike the evil duo of Ziro and Zector, they gained power from learning abilities in each Merged Reality they went to help. In other words, the good guys earn power through effort and learning, and the evil ones earn by being essentially parasites.
The fact is that for as long as they have been doing this, those two have been their enemies, and they took weird pleasure in making situations even harder on them when they found out Hector married the goddess he once was just her servant for. Serket and Hector had been married thanks to a sort of a prophecy that she once heard, even when at first she didn't believe it, but currently, they had quite a few daughters, and even some which they adopted from merged realities that Hector and Hiro went into.
No matter how many years passed, those two were loving parents to their daughters, and often Serket could decide to enter the merged reality her husband entered both for emotional support and sometimes for another reason, to add one more lady to her harem. Most of the other servants were jealous of Hector, thinking he went into these realities to cheat on their goddess, but in truth, it was Serket who made the harem to begin with, she was the one who asked her harem members, to sleep with Hector if they really wanted, she basically gave her harem permission. At first, Hector was shocked, but in the end, he just wanted his wife to be happy, so he had no alternative but to agree.
Now they have spent quite a few missions to these merged realities based on the Freezing series, sure Hector understood why they were created, the series was popular for many reasons, the action was exciting, the romance was riveting, and to teenage demographic the artistic depiction of the characters was simply exciting. The makers of the anime were not cheap when it came to the so-called fan service, which made the series quite popular with young men. Hector understood the appeal, and Hiro loved to compare it to another very much popular series, which was called Is it Wrong to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon, also called Danmachi. Well as much as Hector would want to deny it, much like in other mergers between realities, it came to pass that the mere discussion of it by Hiro, had been going around in the Multiverse because that merged reality came to be created.
It was no surprise then that now after they were having their meal together after another mission, Hiro mentioned that Hector often complained about how he is often the secondary character when it came to being with the girls from the Freezing franchise, which to him was ironic that his friend would even complain, was he not aware that his wife wanted to invite many of them to join her harem? So it came as no major surprise that the next mission involved them going to a merged reality based on the merger of a reality based on that series being merged with one based on Danmachi.
Hiro thought this was a prime opportunity to spend time with beautiful and particularly strong women, Hector was more focused on the mission as always, he knew of the stigma and stress that Satellizer and many of the women in that series endured, their standard order was to make life better for everyone in the realities they entered. It was sort of the standard order or some would jokingly call it their prime directive. It seems that their fellow servants had a dedicated Star Trek fanbase, for them to use that term so casually.
As the two went to meet their goddess, they could not help but think there was something terribly wrong with the next mission they were going to, almost like a premonition. As they entered the office and saw them. "Dear I know what you have been thinking, and you are right, those two have gone into another merged reality and made things even more difficult than they need to be, it is a merged reality based on both the Danmachi series and Freezing, as they are projected to happen, it will be absolute ruin for the entire reality, and we can't in good conscience allow this to happen."
Hector looked at his wife and could not help but agree, if those two succeed in their plot, they will feel more motivated to do the same to other realities, as such they could not allow them to succeed, no matter how much Hector rather avoid going in that merged reality. Hiro had to finally ask him why did he not like the merged realities like that? Hector apparently had to be blunt, there are a countless number of people who died, for no other reason other than plot convenience. In both series they had similar issues, people who died, who otherwise could have been helpful, only be killed to ramp up the difficulty for the series protagonist. In Freezing one example is the death of the mother of one Stallizer L Bridget. Her mother was sick, in a world with such highly advanced medical technology, and yet she still died, even after having taken medicine to treat her illness.
In the Danmachi series, the example he used was the mother of Bell Carnel, she died rather quickly and needlessly, with the level of magic alone in that series she should be able to be healed, and yet again, to make things seem more difficult for Bell, she died, and because of it, his aunt ended up being turned into an actual villain, later ruthlessly killed once the actual villain considers having outlived her usefulness.
"Yes it is a shame that Bell's mom and aunt died, it is a shame they wasted these characters. Hopefully, when you get into that world you can correct that. I shall help by going to that world before Oranos, and make sure to make certain changes that will help everyone, such as the ability for gods to use their powers." She explained there would be conditions where they can use their powers, they have to either be protecting themselves, to protect their Familia, or as part of their job, they can not use them outside of those three reasons.
She mentions there will be demigods and other hybrids in that world. The Greek and Roman gods are separate, from time to time they will spend time with each other. There are twelve tiers and each tier consists of ten levels. This world thanks to them having their powers also has the benefit of items, gear, and other things that one would find in Dungeons and Dragons, such as knowledge, skills, spells, and physical actual items, such as armor, weapons, potions, and such.
"There are a few things I should let you know of, first, because of the changes due to the merger events take longer to happen, so Bell's journey to Orario happens two years later than it would have occurred otherwise. Second, Bell's mother and aunt are from the family night of Theseus the Argonaut, and thus Bell is a descendant of the Argonaut, and the family still possesses both of his legendary swords. They have a tier requirement to be able to use them. The Pandora will be part of my Familia and they are the descendants of Pandora, some will want to be part of the Pandora Familia and follow their patron goddess., There are no Limiters, they are male pandoras, and they do not have the freezing ability, other than you my dearest husband."
Hiro asked him asked what about the Novas? She smiles and tells them that Nova is in that world a class any monster can achieve, the highest class a monster can achieve in fact, but there is a version who is corrupted and nobody has survived meeting one of these black novas, but there were ten who defeated them at the cost of many years of their own lives. Two of them were Hercules and Heracles. It took both of them working together to take down and defeat one of these black novas, and when they finally did, their lifespans lost centuries of possible years they could have lived.
Hiro shocked at hearing this was at first not wanting to believe that two of the mightiest heroes, had to work together, to defeat that damn thing, "So avoid those black novas, got it. If those two could barely defeat them, both I and Hector would be killed for sure if we faced one of these." Hiro immediately asked what tier where Hercules and Heracles were when that happened, and she said they were the highest tier anyone ever achieved, tier ten. Seeing the distress on the face of Hiro, she decided to change topics.
She explains that both Hiro and Hector will have an ability called legacy, to explain why they have skills that could be found in other Familia and groups from the guild. "You two will have special skills that will manifest when you enter that world and get a blessing from a deity, luck, or an evolved version of that, more the merrier, share the wealth, the harem king, Liaris Freese.
"Our two Familia will forever be allies, and you two shall always be in the party, some of these Pandoras will want to be with you, my husband and some might even want to marry Hiro. I will see you soon my love," kissing Hector as he starts to disappear as they are being sent to the other world.
Hector woke up in a place living off in the nearby mountains, a clearing in the middle of a valley surrounded by mountains. The place looked like the mountains were these massive fangs and their home was right in the middle of the mouth of a massive monster, no beast would dare to come near his home, it was imposing and his mother was ruthless in her efficiency at killing anything that was a threat to her family. His father was something akin to a scholar, always trying to find new ways of doing this, to make life easier and better for others, even if some people consider him to be insane, and what he did was crazy nonsense.
His name was Kazuya Aoi, and he had a sister by the name of Kazuha, at first she was rather fit and quite the tomboy, but as she began to go through puberty, her womanly charms as their mother called it became more and more apparent, and boys who once made fun of her for being a mountain hick, regretted that decision when they saw how different she was as she grew up making some of her teachers say that one day she would be quite the beauty, then again it was no surprise considering who her mother is.
Kazuya worked hard to train and learn everything he could from his mother and father, but the fact is that for his formal education, he had to move to another place, a town that his father had suggested quite eagerly. It was the dungeon city of Orario. Kazuha loved the chance to enter the dungeon and fight against hordes of monsters, made her feel like she had a way to live the adventurer's lifestyle while doing so within the nice and conveniences of the city. Kazuya at first wanted to take advantage of as many learning options as possible, he took jobs, did errands, and spent time making connections and meeting people.
All this had one benefit for both him and his sister, to be an adventurer most people require the blessing of a deity of some sort, Greek, Roman, Norse, or anything in between did not matter, the fact is that adventurers who went into the dungeon without a blessing or joining a Familia did not survive for very long. Thanks to Kazuya wanting to learn as much as possible before he tried to join one, had the added blessing of meeting an Egyptian goddess, who was actively looking for people like Kazuya and his sister.
The main problem with this goddess is that other deities often talk about her, she is described as rather intense and demanding, but in reality, Serket was a loving and caring deity for her Familia, the way she was intense was in the absolute desire that her Familia members were trained to face any sort of danger, so the training of them was what those other deities called intense because it was much harsher than what they put their Familia members through.
The demanding part was that she made no attempt to hide the fact that she wanted her Familia members to return back to her from the dungeon alive. In her own words, if in the dungeon her Familia finds a large golden chest, but to obtain it three members of the party were going to die, the choice Serket would accept is, to say screw the chest and return back to the surface floor of the tower alive. For nearly two years both Kazuya and Kazuha worked together as Serket Familia members, her gains were by no means extraordinary, but the focus on them coming back alive, was appreciated. Thanks to this mentality Serket also wanted her Familia members to be properly equipped, so thanks to this she ended up becoming friends with both Hephaestus and Hestia who at the time was still living in Hephaestus' spare bedroom in her apartment in the city.
Hestia was not happy about how she pretty much felt like she was mooching off Hephaestus' kindness, but she was simply not that well known as a goddess, and when given a choice people would join an established Familia, rather one that was starting from basically nothing. Suddenly Serket could almost hear the cries of Hestia, she was whispering her complaints about not finding any good people to join her Familia. Serket had enough and simply with a smile told Hestia, "You may think you have no luck finding members, but believe me, Hestia, before too long you will find a young man who will not only make you proud to have him in your Familia but could in fact cause you to actually fall in love with him."
Most people pay attention to people like Loki or Freya, established Familia also include Ganesha's Familia, even Soma was noticed but he was noticed due to the excellent brewery practices and the many number of alcoholic drinks his Familia actively sold. Most of the things he needed to make or invent these drinks, came from items that were either dropped by monsters or they were ingredients found in the dungeon.
A couple of years before this.
Hiro woke up in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, he knew immediately who he was in this life, he was Bell Carnel, and his grandfather and grandmother had been raising him on their own since practically the day he was born. His Aunt, Mother, Father, and Uncle all died fighting one of the world-class monsters, an immense black dragon, this beast was colossal in size or he knew from what he could remember, the only injury this massive dragon ever sustained was one of his eyes. He was quite literally a one-eyed black dragon that could give other monsters nightmares, the worst part is that he knew there were beasts somewhere that made that dragon seem pretty damn tame by comparison.
The world-ending monsters, the black novas. These creatures if they showed up, every adventurer in the world would have to team up against them, because if they did not defeat and kill those monsters, the world was over. That was the entire purpose of those monsters, to destroy the world, some joked that these monsters came from another reality, and some would one day speculate they came from outer space. There were a few nutcases who formed a cult, that pretty much believed Nova was created to punish humanity for their transgressions against the world and god's perfect plan.
These groups were called by many the Nova cult, and much as it sounds to everyone else, almost everyone considered the people who joined such a thing to be either brain-dead stupid or one of the craziest people around. It was not hard for Bell to simply grow up, working out, and helping his grandfather and grandmother with the family farm. It was taxing work for someone his age, but in reality, Bell had knowledge that most kids did not, and took the chance to use the farm work as a workout rather than a simple chore.
He did that for six years and upon getting ready to celebrate his twelfth birthday, his grandfather smiled and put a large chest in front of Bell. "Go on Bell, open it up, this took me and your grandma a long time to gather but I think you will find this useful." He opened the box only to find a ton of golden coins, Bell counted over a thousand of them just from looking at them.
"These are one hundred thousand gold pieces, with this Bell, once you are ready to become an adventurer, you will be able to buy some excellent gear and stuff you need to become an extremely respected adventurer, some might even go as far as to call you a hero." His grandfather would tell him stories of ancient heroes each night while growing up, he told him stories of men who stood against impossible odds, of the heroes of myth and legend. His grandfather and grandmother told him names that would have sounded pretty ordinary, but deep down Bell knew they were not really their names, he knew these people as Zeus and Hera, the rulers of Olympus.
"Actually Grandpa would you mind if I can touch this gold for a second, I think I can think of ways to help me become the hero you think I can be." The old man simply began to laugh, almost amused to hear and see what his grandson wanted to do, of course told Bell he could, after all, this was his birthday present, but even Zeus could not believe what would happen next. Bell put his hand on the gold and immediately only said two words, True Ressurection. Hera was shocked to even hear the name of the spell, much more so seeing her sweet grandson cast it when thousands of people still believed such a thing was nothing more than either a legend or a lie told by a crazy wizard.
Immediately all the gold began to disappear like some invisible beast was devouring the gold coins like they were no better than a snack. When the last coin was gone circles appeared around Bell, and much to the shock of both his grandparents, four people came out of these circles, it was Bell's dead relatives, alive and well, their bodies and minds in perfect condition. Bell knew who they were, Alfia his aunt, Meteria his mother, Zald his uncle Maxim his uncle. Most of them were even higher level than they should have been or it appeared to Hera who used her divine eye to see their actual status information.
Zeus immediately asked Bell in both a curious and shocked tone of voice what did he do with the gold? Bell laughed and said that he simply resurrected his mom, aunt, and uncles. "Look Grandpa, I was not lying, I said I wanted to use it to train to be a hero, and who better to train me on how to fight, than my uncles? I have to admit I also brought back my mom and aunt, because I wanted to spend some time with them, after hearing so much from Grandma about them." One of the women finally understood that the teen in front of her was none other than her precious baby boy, Bell. Either done due to emotional impulse or adrenaline, it does not matter, the minute she heard the name, she ran towards Bell and hugged him, in what some would say a bone-breaking hug.
"You are so right your uncle Zald and Maxim will train you, but not only them, you will also get training from me and my sister Alfia, you thought that you were going to only get to learn how to fight, think again, you are also getting trained how to use magic. Just because you are my son doesn't mean I am going to take it easy on you. You may not be scared right now, but believe me, you will be." Bell could not help but laugh at what his mother tried to do. It was almost like something he remembered hearing in an old story. Most kids would think their mother was kidding, or that she was joking, Bell on the other hand took this as a challenge, if his mom thinks she can scare him that easily, she is the one in for a surprise.
He wanted help to train, so if they wanted to make his training harder than he expected, it could only mean one thing, the more effort you put into your training, the better results you would get out of it. So to him, this was better than anything he could have hoped for, and to make matters even better he gets to spend time with his family. His Aunt was what some would call a slave driver, she gave long lectures and had him do basic magic practice for long hours, almost to the point that he was close to losing consciousness, the only thing preventing him from that happening was these horribly tasting blue potions his aunt and mother made. They were made by them Bell guessed in the middle of the night, but the taste was simply horrible.
During breakfast, he asked his aunt if they could add something to the blue potions, like fruit juice, or something to make the potion taste better. She laughed and smiled at Bell, "Of course we can Bell, but if we do the efficiency of the potion will be a lot less, to explain it better, right now you only need a big gulp of one, but if we add the stuff to make it better, you would need to drink three bottles of the same blue potions for the same effect."
This means that if he wanted to get as much training as possible, he had to drink the awful-tasting potions to help him recover his magic power faster, or slow down his training, because they would burn through their available stock of blue potions, with worse results. The choice was obvious for Bell, man up, drink the horrible-tasting blue potions, and train as much as possible. Life in Orario was not going to be just fun and games, and much like he figured his friend would do, he had to be ready for anything that came his way.
