Day 3 - Brock
"You're a keeper! Will you please take care of my brother?" Bonnie requested of an attractive woman at the Pokemon Center.
The woman seemed surprised at the little girl's request while Bonnie's brother Clemont, their friends of Serena and Ash, and Ash's old friend Brock who was paying a visit to the Kalos region, were all startled at Bonnie's admittedly common action.
"I told you to stop this a million times!" The humiliated Clemont went up to stop his sister with his backpacks Aipom Arm.
"Think about it please." Bonnie asked as she was lifted up off the ground.
"This is so embarrassing. I wish you would stop doing that!" Clemont voiced his frustration to his sister.
"Clemont's right Bonnie. You don't ask girls to take care of guys." Brock chimed in.
"But my brother needs a dependable wife!" Bonnie whined.
"Brock is right Bonnie. You shouldn't be asking girls to do this." Clemont countered.
"Exactly. The way it's supposed to go is that the guy takes care of the girl. Observe." Brock stated as he approached the woman. "Oh miss, you are so beautiful! I would be honored to be the one to take care of you!" Brock exclaimed with hearts in his eyes as his actions caused Clemont to become even more embarrassed. So much so that he let go of the button that was keeping the Aipom Arm gripped on Bonnie.
"Hey! No fair! I asked her to take care of my brother first!" Bonnie exclaimed.
"Your brother will start finding a special someone when he's ready! Do you have any idea how long I have pursued love?! Let me have this!" Brock argued back.
Ash and Serena approached their friends to step in. This was getting a little out of hand. "We should probably get going." Ash stated with a sweat drop.
"Yes! I think that is a fantastic idea!" The embarrassed Clemont concurred, desperate to get out of this situation.
Clemont picked Bonnie back up with the Aipom Arm as Ash and Serena grabbed a hold of Brock to guide him out of the Pokemon Center.
"We'll just be going now. Sorry for the trouble." Serena said to the woman with a wave and a nervous sweat drop. To which the woman gave a wave and sweat drop of her own with an awkward smile.
As the group made their way through town, Brock and Bonnie were continuing their argument.
"If you haven't found a keeper yet then you keep waiting your turn! My brother shouldn't have to wait for you to keep messing up!" Bonnie stated her case.
"How dare you! I am more than capable of finding the perfect girl for me! She just…hasn't appeared yet." Brock stated his own case.
Ash, Serena, Pikachu, and Clemont just sighed at the bickering. "I hope they bring this to an end soon." Serena said. "No kidding." Ash agreed. "I hope so too." Clemont agreed as well.
"If you want to find a girlfriend so badly then why haven't you asked Ash for help yet?! He already won Serena's heart so he can give you advice can't he?!" Bonnie shouted.
Serena started blushing like crazy, Ash got a bit of a blush on his face as well, and Pikachu and Clemont gained expressions on their faces that just said "Oh No."
"Ask Ash for advice?! Are you kidding me?! Sure he might have been lucky enough to earn a girl's love, but he's still too nervous to make a move himself even though he clearly likes her back!" Brock countered.
Serena started blushing even deeper and Ash's blush had reached the same level. The two of them had helped Clemont get out of an embarrassing situation back at the Pokemon Center, and he figured it was time to return the favor.
"Hey Serena, there's a clothing store on the other side of town that has a lot of items I think you would like. So many in fact that you might need Ash to help you carry them!" Clemont made this up, and Ash and Serena knew that, but they were taking the opportunity while the getting was good.
"Oh really! That does sound nice! Ash, would you mind giving me a hand with that?" Serena requested.
"Sure thing! Let's go!" Ash exclaimed as he grabbed Serena's hand in a hurry to get out of this mess. The two of them mouthed "thank you" to Clemont as they made their escape.
Once Ash and Serena were far enough away, they panted a bit to catch their breath. "Sorry you had to be put in that situation Serena. I never expected that from Brock." Ash voiced his woes.
"That's ok Ash. You know how kids like Bonnie can be. Apparently heartthrobs like Brock can be the same way." Serena assured him.
"Yeah, I guess so." Ash responded while scratching his nose. It was then that he and Serena noticed that they were still holding hands.
They let go, somewhat reluctantly, and stood there in silence for a couple minutes before Ash spoke up. "Sooooo…we probably have some time to kill until Brock and Bonnie calm down. Should we see what this side of town has to offer?"
"Yeah. That's a good idea." Serena answered. The two of them then began walking through town, still having small blushes on their faces as they looked for somewhere to get their minds off of this.
They didn't notice when Pikachu gave a sigh that said "One Day. One Day."
