Zero Minus One

Chapter Nine

Admiral Lewis had been reading Slyvia's report for almost 25-plus minutes. He had been in disbelief at the information that had been written in the report.

Meanwhile, Slyvia came back from a bathroom break. "Sir, are there any questions that need to be asked of me?" she tells him with a hint of a smile.

Admiral Lewis needed to move up from his seat to stretch his muscles before answering the question of a lifetime. "Are you kidding Slyvia? I have already known most of the answers before you your team were able to come back from Russia." He said strongly with a frown now showing.

"I understand, sir. What do you think the State Department is going to be doing with our reports?" she knew the answer but wanted to hear it nevertheless.

"From my understanding, Slyvia, I am not at liberty to say anything to you or your team. I just hope to God that something is going to be done with all of the Russian nuclear reactors." He says to her.

"If this is the case, Admiral Lewis, there is going to be certainly a nuclear war for sure." She remarked to Admiral Lewis giving her a stern expression on his ragged face.

"I hope not, Slyvia. The president of the United States along with all of the nations will try to stop any action they see coming to cause this type of nuclear car. Russia is certain to try along with China, Iran, and a few others. But in the meantime, I need for you and your team to get some rest."

"And what about the Seaview, sir?" she needed to ask regarding her husband Admiral Harriman Nelson.

Prologue

It's been a few days before the Seaview will be back home at Santa Barbara, California, and the Nelson Institute.

They had been holding onto the salvage of the Russian submarine to be used for study for the most part and money.

Nothing else had been found from the rogue Russian sub having tagged the Seaview with a missile that just about knocked them out of the waters.

So, once they arrive back at the Institute, Admiral Nelson will call the State Department to take over the rogue submarine for whatever reason they are using it.

A day later at his home. He had been waiting for his wife to arrive home from the Russian Embassy. She and her team will be given further orders to work. However for now they will be taking it easy for a few weeks.

Sylvia had changed into a black, low-cut dress for dinner. Nelson had his maid and cook make a delicious T-bone steak with a baked potato and a large salad.

He was in his library reading. When the library door opened to be her finally. His eyes lit up seeing his wife finally. She will come over to him sitting in the brown recliner. She decides to sit down in his lap making him a very happy camper.

Even though it wasn't proper for a Russian woman to do.

As for Captain Lee Crane

He had been feeling better since the second concussion caused by the rogue submarine having sent off missiles only to be stopped by the Seaview.

Lee walked into his apartment inside the Institute alone. He had asked his latest girlfriend working as a secretary for the Nelson Institute. She wasn't able to show up with her mother Lorre aged 78 dying from breast cancer.

She had no choice but to attend the funeral with a number of the family attending the funeral.

He was stuck having dinner alone, TV, and then to bed since arriving home from the long voyage and back.

CONCLUSION

There had been no decision from the State Department on what they plan on doing in regard to the Russian nuclear reactors.
