Lucy and Margo: The Movie Chapter 3

Later on in the fifth grade, Margo was having her last few minutes with her soon-to-be former teacher is Miss Nordwind. After the summer holidays when they started back in September, Margo was moving to a higher class in Miss Frannie's classroom which she was excited about. "Remember, children, just because this is the last class of the year doesn't mean this test doesn't count" reminded Miss Nordwind, "And Margo, good luck in Miss Frannie's higher class. I will miss you for being one of my best students". ''Thank you Miss Nordwind'' said Margo. Over at the AVL, Lucy was bringing in two supervillains that she had just defeated and captured. "Well done, Agent Wilde. That's two villains you caught in one day" said Silas. He set up a projector screen on the wall and showed a place called Paradise Mall.

''We believe that one of the shop owners in this mall is a master criminal. That's where you come in'' added Silas. ''Yes Sir'' replied Lucy. She looked at her watch. It was time to pick Margo up from school. ''Oh I got to go and pick my daughter up from school'' she said to Silas. ''Very well Agent Wilde'' said Silas. Lucy drove off to the school. RIIIIIIIIIIIIING! Went the school bell at home time. The kids cheered as it meant school was over for the summer. They stampeded outside and rushed towards their parents. "Darling!" said one women. "Mommy!" said her little girl as she ran towards her mom. "Son!" said a man. "Dad!" said his little boy as he ran towards his dad. All the kids embraced with their parents. Each kid hugged their parents, explained their day at school and made plans for summer vacation. Margo searched for her own mother and there she was, standing in front of her with the three mode car behind her.

"Margo!" called Lucy, waving. "Mom!" said Margo running towards Lucy. Both pairs of arms stretched out towards each other. Margo jumped and Lucy caught her hold of her daughter and hugged her tight, Margo hugged her mom back. Lucy spun Margo around as they both laughed. "How was your successful last day of the year?" asked Lucy. ''It was great Mom'' replied Margo and she told Lucy about how the three naughty boys had sabotaged the football game. ''I'm gonna be in Miss Frannie's class next year'' added Margo proudly, ''That's a much higher class''. ''That's wonderful Margo'' smiled Lucy, ''I'm so proud of you'' and she kissed her on the head. "MOM!" said Margo, but inside she was smiling too. Over at the zoo, in In Central Park, New York City Throughout the zoo were a number of animal displays, which accommodated various species. The exhibits all were tailored to fit the needs of the animals that resided within them.

In one enclosure lived an African lion called Alex who, for a short time, was raised in an African wildlife reserve, before being captured by poachers, and eventually ended up falling out of the poachers' truck into the ocean, and floating to New York City, where he was sent to the Central Park Zoo, becoming one of the most popular exhibits in the zoo. Alex was the star attraction of the Central Park Zoo, the lion pen was built especially for him. Sealed off by brick walls, the lion pen had a large rock within it that Alex was famous for climbing on and roaring for zoo patrons' entertainment. Next to the lion enclosure was the zebra enclosure was a zebra called Marty who was Alex's best friend. Alex said he was black with white stripes, which was true for all zebras, as he had 30 black, and only 29 white, but this was partly due to the fact thatAlexhad to give an explanation as to why he was licking Marty, as he thought he was the steak in his dream. Also often Marty mentioned that he was black with white stripes, although, in the herd of zebras, very few zebras have their exact stripes pattern.

In reality, no zebras share the same exact pattern of stripes. Apparently, Marty had spent his whole life in the zoo, even as a foal. In the beginning, Marty lived a life of comfort in the Central Park Zoo, but comfort led to boredom and Marty soon saw that his tenth birthday came and went and with that, his life was halfway in. Marty decided, then, that he must travel to the wild, for at least a short time, never having seen the wild. But he soon learned just how harsh life in the wild can be. Marty was enthusiastic and always willing for a great adventure with his pals. However, he also had a complexity about his individuality, since he felt like he was no different from the other zebras (who literally were exactly like him). However, asAlexpointed out, Marty was a dreamer and a free spirit, which truly made him stand out from other zebras. Unlike his friends he was ecstatic to be out in the wild and didn't seem to notice how upset his friends were about their situation. Marty was very brave and didn't fear anything.

Further along there was the giraffe enclosure where a giraffe called Melman lived, he spoke Jewish. Then there was the hippopotamus enclosure where Gloria the hippo lived. The hippo enclosure was built with a pool of clear, chlorinated water, which Gloria would enjoy swimming in, as well as an underground section through which zoo patrons could see Gloria swimming from behind a glass wall. Surrounding the pool of water was a bare concrete floor, and flowers near the right of the enclosure. "SURPRISE!" shouted Alex at Marty who had been daydreaming. "AAAAAIIIGGHHH!" cried Marty as he stumbled backwards. ''Alex! Do not interrupt me when I'm daydreaming! When a zebra's in the zone, leave him alone'' said Marty when he stabled himself. ''C'mon, Marty. I just wanted to wish you a happy birthday!'' said Alex. ''Hey, man. Thanks!'' chuckled Marty. "Here ya go" said Alex as he handed Marty a snow globe with a figure of Alex inside.
