Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Sailor Stars: Chaos Theory

Act 6: Aino Minako

By: Sora Kazeno

Another Sailor Senshi will awaken this act. I know it's really hard to figure out whom. The drama continues!

"Artemis," Minako said as she sat down on her bed. "Why were there so many other senshi? Are they on our side?" Minako waited a second for an answer and then asked another question. "And that white haired girl called me Minako-chan like she knew me or something!"

Artemis thought about what he could tell her. "Do you remember when you began to gain some of your memories as a senshi the other day?"

"Yes! Of course."

"Well it is kind of like that… they are allies but you don't remember them yet…"

"Are you sure? I think I would remember a senshi that wore a bikini top!"

Artemis began laughing at Minako's comments. Artemis had pictured Yaten wearing a bikini top rather than Sailor Star Healer.

"Eh? What is so funny?" Minako asked as she raised an eyebrow at her mentor. Another question popped in her head. "Is that why you said I could trust Sailor Moon and give her the starseed?"

Artemis stopped laughing in order to answer Minako's question seriously. "Yes. They are your allies and you can trust them. Don't trust the senshi with gold bracelets on their wrists. They are dangerous."

Minako nodded her head. Minako realized what time it was and picked up her book bag. "I have to go or I'm going to be late!"

"AAHHHH!" Usagi yelled as she ran down the steps. "I can't be late to school again! I don't want to stand in the hallway!" She quickly put her shoes on and yelled goodbye to her family.

"Don't forget to invite Seiya-san over!" Ikkuko called after her.

Usagi's eye twitched as she shut the door behind her. She began her mad dash and then realized she wasn't as late as she thought she was. She slowed her pace down to stop for the red light by the corner of her street. She was not expecting to a man with dark hair wearing pink shirt and khakis. It was Mamoru. Usagi was speechless. She had so much she wanted to talk about yet she didn't know what to say.

Mamoru couldn't believe his luck. He had wanted to run into this girl again. He was hoping to have some answers to the headaches he had and why he had a picture of them together. But his first challenge was actually talking to her since their interactions haven't always been very pleasant. He tried to think of something he could say. The light was about to change and she was going to dash off again. Finally he decided to start with the most basic greeting. "Hi." He said as she addressed her.

Usagi wasn't sure how to respond. She wondered if he had his memories back. "Umm.. Hi!" She said with a cheerful smile.

"…I was wondering if I could talk to you for a little bit," he said. He quickly added, "I know you are on your way to school. Is it okay if I walk with you?"

Usagi couldn't believe her luck. She wanted nothing more to run into his arms but he hadn't called her Usako. She assumed he didn't remember her completely. She was happy to just be near him and she didn't want to chase him off. She smiled and nodded her head. They two began walking together the short distance to Usagi's school.

"So… this might sound strange but…" Mamoru said as his voice trailed off. He was trying to find the right words for what he was about to say without sounding crazy. He bit his lower lip for a moment realizing there was no way to say this without sounding crazy. "The other day I found a picture of… us in my apartment. I've been having problems remembering things lately…. And I was just wondering…"

Usagi stopped walking to look up at him. This was her chance. "We… used to be really close." As soon as Usagi said the words she regretted them. 'Used to be? What am I saying?' She mentally yelled at herself.

"Used to be? Well I guess it would be hard to be close to someone that doesn't remember anything," Mamoru said with a smile. They continued to walk in silence for a little bit as the situation grew more awkward.

Inside Usagi was yelling at herself to tell him more. To tell him anything to help him remember he was Prince Endymion and Tuxedo Kamen. But her voice failed. She wanted to badly to speak but it was like her body wasn't responding. Now she couldn't understand what was wrong with her. She looked down at the heart shaped ring on her finger. She opened her mouth again but nothing came out.

Makoto saw Usagi and was about to run up to her and say hi. Then she saw the young man she was walking with. "…Mamoru-san?" She said quietly to no one in particular. Makoto smiled to see the two of them walking together. But then she noticed the distance between them. If things were back to normal Usagi would at least be holding his hand. Either way Makoto was happy Usagi was able to spend time with Mamoru. Makoto decided to keep her distance to allow the two to continue to talk in private.

After a few moments of silence Mamoru asked, "so… tell me about yourself? Maybe it will jog some of my memories?"

"Umm okay!" Usagi said with as much enthusiasm as she could muster. "My name is Tsukino Usagi and I go to Juuban High School." She thought of what else she could say. She wasn't about to tell him that she was Princess Serenity and he was Prince Endymion. She couldn't tell him she was Sailor Moon either. And she definitely couldn't tell him about Crystal Tokyo and Chibi Usa. She looked at the ring on her left hand. She didn't want to confuse him anymore than he already was.

"So… how did we meet before?" Mamoru asked as he tried to gather more information about the young woman walking next to him.

Usagi laughed at his question. "I crumpled up a bad test score and threw it over my head behind me. It landed on your head. You unfolded the paper and laughed at my score. For a while we kept running into each other at random times. Kind of like how we have been running into each other now!" Usagi beamed. Usagi discussed a few more of their past run ins. It was had become easier to talk to him once she started.

Mamoru was no longer walking as was Usagi. She hoped that he remembered something about them. But he didn't say anything for a moment. Usagi continued to look at him waiting for him to say something to her. After a few more moments Mamoru said, "we're at the school."

She felt sad they reached the school. Usagi looked around at her surroundings and realized there weren't too many students entering the school. She looked at her watch and discovered she had less than five minutes until she was going to be late for school. "I'm going to be late!" Usagi yelled as dashed onto school grounds. Mamoru chuckled at the scene before him. All of the sudden he had a feeling of déjà vu that he had seen this before.

Usagi caught up to Makoto right before she entered the classroom. "Usagi-chan, good morning!" Makoto greeted her with a smile. "I saw you with Mamoru-san this morning. Are things going well?"

Usagi smiled. "I ran into him on the way to school and he wanted to learn more about me since he found a picture of us together in his apartment." The girls continued walking into the classroom together. "We talked for a bit and he wanted to know how we met and-" Usagi stopped talking mid-sentence when she saw Seiya. "That was about it," Usagi quickly finished as she walked over to her seat in front of Seiya and sat down.

"About last night…" Usagi said as she turned around in her seat to face him. "I'm sorry about my mother. She has this thing where she has always wanted to be famous and when she meets someone that is famous she kind of… freaks out."

Seiya laughed at Usagi's remarks. "Eh?" He said with a raised eyebrow. "What was she yelling about dinner?"

Usagi felt a blush creeping across her face. "Ever since you called the night Haruka-san was in trouble, she keeps staying I have to invite you over to dinner."

"So you want me to turn down a fan?" Seiya asked as she raised an eyebrow at her.

Usagi fumed at his response. "I wanted to apologize for my mom nearly dragging you into the house, not invite you over!"

Seiya laughed once more at Usagi's facial expressions.

Makoto sat down in her seat behind Taiki. She couldn't believe what had just happened. She was talking to Usagi about Mamoru and when she saw Seiya it was as if she had forgotten she was talking about him. It was as if in that moment Seiya was more important than Mamoru. Makoto looked over at Usagi with an expression of worry on her face. She really was changing.

Usagi yawned and she grabbed her pair of shoes from her cubby hole.

"Usagi-chan, are you okay?" Makoto asked as she changed her shoes. "You looked like you were about to fall asleep at the end of class."

"I'm just really tired," Usagi said with another a yawn as she tried to hide behind her hand. After Usagi had changed her shoes she walked with Makoto to the front of the school. Makoto frowned as she saw the Three Lights up ahead. Normally she would have been happy to see them. But she was thinking space from them would be a good idea based on Usagi's actions earlier in the day.

Usagi yawned again and barely acknowledge the Three Lights in front of her. "I'm going home and getting some sleep," she said with another yawn as she began to walk in the direction of her house. "Bye," Usagi said between yawns.

"That was weird," said Taiki as he watched her retreating form.

"I'm going to see if she's okay… she's been… different…" Seiya said as he began to take a few steps forward.

"Let her be," Makoto said to him in a stern voice. "She had a rough morning. She ran into Mamoru-san this morning. I think he is starting to get a fraction of his memories back. He was trying to figure out how he knew her."

Taiki and Yaten exchanged glances at each other before they looked over at Seiya. This is what they were concerned about. Seiya wanted to be close to her but he was only going to end up being hurt again like he was when they first returned to Kinmoku. It took him weeks to smile again. They did not want a repeat of that.

"We have a busy schedule anyway," Yaten lied as he glared at Seiya. Seiya didn't say anything and follow them quietly.

Seiya was lost in his own world. He was surprised that Usagi didn't mention Mamoru to him earlier. He wanted to see her happy. He thought about what he told her before the concert where the Lights were trying to find the Light of Hope. He told her he knew he was in a one-sided love. Even knowing this still didn't make the situation any easier. He couldn't just turn off his feelings for her. Just being around her made him happy.

Usagi didn't waste anything time changing into her pajamas when she returned home. She crawled into bed and pulled the covers over to go to sleep. She was fast asleep within a few minutes.

Luna walked in through the open door and wasn't too surprised to see Usagi snapping already. She jumped up onto the bed and tried to wake her up but she wouldn't budge. After a few minutes Luna sighed and gave up. 'What is going on with you Usagi-chan? You've been sleeping more and more lately.' Luna thought as she walked out of the room.

"It is only a matter of time," Sailor Chi said to their leader. Their leader was wearing a long black dress and had long flowing blonde hair. The more Sailor Chi looked at her the more familiar she appeared to be but she couldn't figure out who she reminded her of. If she could figure it out sooner she felt like it would help her find Chaos sooner. She didn't understand how the woman in front of her was connected to Chaos but she had revived them. They owed her life to her.

"While you continue to search my powers are slowly growing," the woman spoke as she pushed some of her lose strands of hair to the side. "The vessel doesn't even recognize my presence yet. I plan on keeping it that why. But in the meantime I think I will have some fun by making the vessel's life more difficult so when the time comes it will be easier to take control. The vessel is very powerful and doesn't even recognize its full potential. This is the perfect hose body." She laughed with glee. Her eyes twinkled with delight at the thought of causing the vessel's body pain.

Sailor Phi looked over at her sister and their leader. She was amazed at the glee their leader had in causing pain in others.

The following morning Usagi woke up with a headache. She felt like her head was going to explode. She didn't understand where this pain came from. She didn't want to get up for school but she knew her mother wouldn't let her stay home from school for having a bad headache. She had tried this before in the past to get out of a test and her mother didn't believe her. She wasn't about to try to stay home now.

Luna jumped on the bed. "You slept all day yesterday Usagi-chan! You have to get up and go to school!" Luna said as she pounced on her.

Usagi pushed her to the side with her arm. "I'm getting up Luna! Geez." Usagi got up out of bed and realized she had pushed Luna off the bed and onto the floor. "Luna! I'm sorry," she said as she got out of bed and sat down on the floor next to Luna.

Luna frowned at her. "Usagi-chan you don't have much time left until you'll be late for school!"

Usagi looked at her alarm clock and frantically ran around her room with renewed energy as she prepared for her school day. The energy didn't last too long.

Usagi made it to school on time and collapsed into her seat exhausted. She had a burst of energy trying to get to school but it was as if she didn't have any left. It didn't take Usagi long to fall asleep in class.

"Tsukino-san!" The teacher said as he stood next to her desk. "Go to sleep earlier so you can stay awake in my class. You have classroom duty after school today."

Usagi rubbed her eyes and let out a small yawn. It was going to be a very long day for her.

Makoto frowned at Usagi's behavior. She had told her that she went home to sleep yesterday and now she is exhausted.

The students that were supposed to clean up the classroom were happy to be excused from their job today since Usagi had to do it all for punishment. She had to dust off the erasers, wash the board, empty the garbage and sweep the classroom. She was going to be here for an hour or two. Usagi tried to figure out why she was so tired lately. She had been sleeping more. She then blamed it on the other senshi that been attacking them. Each time she transformed and used in her powers it drained her energy. It had always been like that. But it seemed to be affecting her more.

Usagi looked around the classroom and tried to figure out where she should begin. She grabbed the erasers from the chalkboard and opened the classroom window. She began to clap the erasers together to remove the chalk dust. She coughed for a moment as some of the chalk dust tickled her nose. In the middle of coughing she nearly dropped one of the erasers out of the window.

A hand grabbed the eraser before it could fall. Usagi let out a shriek and jumped back when she realized someone stood next to her.

"Oi Odango, not so loud. I'm going to go deaf," Seiya said as he handed her back the eraser.

"Seiya?" Usagi said wide eyed. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm helping you out. Otherwise you would be here all night," Seiya said as he grabbed a bucket from the closet. "Maybe you should wash the board since you nearly dropped the eraser out of the window," he teased.

"I am not that klutzy!" Usagi shouted at him.

"Hey keep it down!" Seiya whispered at her.

It then dawned on Usagi that if he was caught helping her with her punishment he would be in trouble. "If you stay and help you'll get in trouble. I'm supposed to do this myself." Usagi said as she tried to get the bucket from him and failed.

Seiya lifted the bucket up over Usagi's head. "In order to help you out it would be worth it." Seiya said as he winked at her. "It's not like I've been in dangerous situations before because of you." Seiya said as he began to exit the classroom with the bucket. "I'll be right back."

Seiya's words caught Usagi off guard for a few moments. She thought back against the final battle against Sailor Galaxia. Throughout the battle there were countless times Fighter had shielded her with her body. It was always to protect her. Knowing that he was there for her made her smile.

Seiya returned a few moments later with a bucket of water and placed it on the floor. "Try not to trip over the bucket."

Usagi walked back over to Seiya fuming. Her plan was to throw the erasers at Seiya but she tripped over the bucket that he has just told her not to trip over. Usagi was used to tripping over things. She was waiting for that moment when she would land on a limb that would hurt. It never came. Since she tripped right next to Seiya he was able to catch her in her arms. He helped her back to her feet.

"What did I just tell you Odango?" He asked.

The partially open classroom door snapped open with a bang as another student walked into the classroom. She froze when she saw Usagi essentially in Seiya's arms. "I knew there was something going on between you too!" Minako exclaimed as she stared at them with an all knowing look.

Usagi and Seiya realized the position they were in and quickly separated themselves. "It's not like that at all Minako-chan!" Usagi shouted at her. She was so tired of hearing remarks like this. If Minako had her memories back she won't be saying things like this.

Minako laughed at Usagi's response. "Trying to be all innocent huh?" A figure appeared behind Minako with pale pink hair and golden bracelets.

"Minako-chan! Behind you!" Usagi yelled a warning as she began to unfasten her brooch from her school uniform.

Seiya gripped the star headset in his pocket. He wasn't quite sure what was going on yet since he didn't see what was behind Minako but he recognized the panic in Usagi's voice. There was about to be an attack.

Minako quickly moved from the door and turned around to see the woman from last night at the concert. She took a few steps forward. Sailor Lethe entered the classroom.

Usagi didn't want to waste another second. "Moon Eternal, Make Up!"

Seiya followed suit and transformed. "Fighter Star Power, Make Up!"

"You're making this classroom a mess and I just started to clean it up! For love and justice a sailor suited pretty soldier, Sailor Moon! In the name of the Moon I'll punish you!"

"Breaking through the darkness… I'm a wandering shooting star, Sailor Star Fighter! Stage on!"

Minako looked at the two surprised. She didn't think any senshi would transform in front of her again. She was even more confused that Seiya turned into a Sailor Senshi. He went from being a guy to a woman. She tried to form the words. She looked over at Sailor Star Fighter as she said, "… how? What? But you were just a guy…" She continued to babble as she tried to form the words. After a moment Minako decided to transform as well when she remembered Artemis' words. She could trust Sailor Moon. She also trusted Usagi. Minako pulled out a pink pen and said "Moon Power, Make Up!"

Swirls of color surrounded Minako and she became Sailor V. "I am the pretty sailor suited solder, Sailor V!" Sailor V said as she struck a pose. She adjusted the red glasses on her face.

"Sailor V, get out of here! Sailor Lethe is after you!" Sailor Moon pleaded with the senshi that stood to her right.

"I'll be fine!" Sailor V reassured her. "I've been in a bunch of battles before. There are three of us." Sailor V said with a wink. "We should work together on this."

Sailor Lethe laughed as looked at Sailor V. "You call yourself a senshi? Your powers are so weak!"

Sailor Star Fighter looked around the small classroom. "We need to get out into the hallway. This classroom isn't going to give us much room." Sailor Lethe was too busy laughing at Sailor V to pay attention to their actions. She used this to her advantage. "Star Serious Laser!"

A bolt of bright energy caused Sailor Lethe to stop laughing. She quickly backed out of the doorway to the classroom and into the hallway; exactly where Sailor Star Fighter wanted her to go. Sailor Star Fighter turned to Sailor Moon and said, "let's go." Sailor V was closer to the door and was the first one to get out of the classroom.

The problem with this plan occurred when they both tried to exit he classroom at the same time. Sailor Moon's wings became stuck in the doorway since they were so large. The more either one of them tried to move the worse they became stuck. It was a large tangled mess of body limbs. After a few tries Sailor Star Fighter was able to make her way out of the tangled mess.

A bright flash in the hallway occurred. It was Sailor V's starseed. They tried to get out into the hallway to be able to maneuver better but it turned out to be their downfall. Sailor Star Fighter arrived just in time to see Sailor V collapse and her orange starseed float over to Sailor Lethe. "Ugh. Another failure." She glared the clear crystal in her hand.

"Star Gentle Uterus!"

Sailor Lethe dodged to the side as she avoided Sailor Star Maker's attack. "Four Sailor Senshi. The same ones that were nearly killed by Galaxia..." She said as she tried to anger them. She wanted them to make mistakes.

"Return the starseed," Sailor Star Healer directed her. She thought back to when Venus protected her against Galaxia.

"If you want the starseed back… come and get it!" Sailor Lethe said as she tried to blast Sailor Star Healer with golden energy from her bracelets.

Sailor Lethe avoided the attack and sent another at the Starlights. They scrambled to avoid the attack and ran into each other. Sailor Star Maker misjudged the space she had between a wall and was thrown off balance which allowed enough time for Sailor Lethe to connect with an attack. Sailor Star Maker went down.

Sailor Lethe laughed and prepared an even larger attack. "I think it's time I finished off one of the senshi," she said. Her attack primed for Sailor Star Maker.

"No!" Sailor Moon shouted as she summoned her tiare. She wasn't about to let anyone else become hurt. "Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss!" Sailor Moon exclaimed as she released waves of golden energy at Sailor Lethe. Sailor Lethe cried out in pain as the rays of energy tried to purify her.

Sailor Mnemosyne appeared and pulled her sister out of the way. "This isn't over yet," Sailor Mnemosyne said as she helped her sister stand up. They both vanished and left Sailor V's starseed.

Sailor Moon quickly grabbed the starseed, anxious to return it to its owner. Sailor Moon returned the starseed before Sailor V's body disappeared. The starseed flashed as Sailor V's body reappeared. Within a few moments the crescent moon symbol on her forehead flashed and disappeared. The symbol for Venus began to blaze across her forehead. Once the glow died down the symbol disappeared and a tiara replaced the mark. Sailor V slowly opened her eyes and began to sit up. "Sailor Moon…?" Sailor V said as she looked around at her surroundings confused by what she saw. A little bit behind Sailor Moon were a few more senshi. "Sailor Starlights…?" Sailor V slowly began to stand up and realized the skirt of her fuku was navy blue rather than orange. She also wore navy blue heels. She went to touch her face and discovered she was wearing a mask. She pulled the mask off her face and stared at it. It confirmed that she was in her Sailor V fuku rather than her Sailor Venus one. She began to laugh.

"Minako…chan?" Sailor Moon said as she looked at her confused.

"I forgot how silly I looked in this one!" Sailor V exclaimed as she continued to laugh. She de-transformed back to Minako. She frowned for a moment when she thought of her activities of the past couple of days. A realization had hit her. "I guess I can't be idol yet after all," Minako said with a sad smile. Once again she had to put her dreams on hold to fulfill her responsibilities as a senshi.

Sailor Star Healer sighed at her comment. "Such is the life of a senshi," she said. She and the other Starlights de-transformed back. "We need to get Taiki back to rest," Yaten said as he and Seiya helped Taiki down the hallway.

Minako looked over at Usagi and said, "we should get going too. I just have to get a few things from class."

Minako walked into the classroom and stopped dead her tracks. The classroom was a complete mess thanks to their unexpected guest. "Umm… Usagi-chan, let's clean really fast before anyone else sees this."

Usagi nodded her head as she looked around at the bits of paper, chairs and desks scattered around the room. "But we really weren't in here? How did this happen!" Usagi whined as she began to grab the bucket on the floor. She then realized she was standing in water since the bucket had been knocked over by her earlier. She blushed as she remembered her fall and being in Seiya's arms. "I need to fill this up with water," Usagi quickly said as she left the classroom before Minako could say anything to her.

A few minutes later Usagi walked back into the classroom with the bucket and began to wash the chalkboard. She was quiet while she cleaned the board.

Minako picked up on this. "How have you been Usagi-chan?" Minako asked her as she tried to make small talk.

Usagi didn't respond for a minute. "I've been fine! I'm always fine! I don't understand why everyone keeps asking me this!" Usagi began to yell with anger in her voice. After her outburst she quietly covered her mouth in shock at how she had just reacted.

Minako didn't know how to respond at first. She smiled at Usagi and said, "let's make sure this place is really clean!"

"Minako-chan, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to yell at you like that!" Usagi exclaimed as she apologized for her outburst.

"It's okay Usagi-chan!" Minako said as she tried to reassure her. "You've been through so much and having to fight without everyone. Is Ami-chan the only one left?" She asked as she thought about the battle from the night before.

Usagi took a deep breath. "No," she said with a tone of sadness in her voice. "Ami-chan, Hotaru-chan and Mamo-chan."

"Mamoru-san? I'm sorry! I didn't mean to bring up something that is difficult for you," said Minako as she tried to move onto another subject. Minako then remembered what she said to Usagi when she and Seiya where in the classroom before the battle. Minako was mentally hitting herself for that. She remained quiet for a while.

Usagi yawned as she walked out the front entrance of the school with Minako. "That took a lot longer than I thought it would! Thank you for staying and helping me with everything Minako-chan. Otherwise I would have been there for hours."

A white cat walked across the fence of the school. The cat meowed in order to draw attention to itself.

"Artemis!" Minako exclaimed in surprise. "Why didn't you tell me I was Venus and not V? My crystal powers are so much stronger."

Artemis nearly fell off the fence after Minako said that her Venus powers were stronger. He also wasn't expecting her to talk to him in front of Usagi since she didn't have all of her memories back when she left for school this morning.

"They went after Minako-chan today," clarified Usagi when she saw Artemis' confused look. Usagi yawned again. "I'm going home and getting some sleep. These battles have been so draining lately." Usagi said with another yawn. "I'll see you tomorrow at school."

After Usagi was out of earshot Artemis looked at Minako and said, "Luna wasn't kidding. Usagi-chan does seem really tired."

Act 6 is done! Why is Usagi so sleepy? It must be draining have to fight almost every day and dealing with a lover that doesn't remember her. Maybe she's just really depressed? Not too many senshi left without their memories. Are the girls overacting because of all the time Usagi is spending with Seiya instead of Mamoru?

The outer senshi will start playing a more active role and they are still very protective of their princess. Some of them still don't trust the Starlights because they also think they are too close to their princess. A bit of a show down coming up! Also an update from Princess Kakyuu. Stay tuned for Act 7: Mizuno Ami. See on March 31st!
