Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Sailor Stars: Chaos Theory

Act 9: Chiba Mamoru

By: Sora Kazeno

Lots of drama this part as revelations are made. Enjoy!

Seiya enjoyed the kiss for a moment but part of him felt it was a mistake. He began to pull away much to his dismay but he didn't want to hurt Usagi. Usagi's reaction was to pull him closer and kiss him deeper. Seiya's heart was hammering in his ears at this point. For that moment he was able to tune out everything that was wrong with the world but the moment was not to last.

A few people screamed in the distance. They immediately broke apart without any hesitation. Usagi blushed.

"Of course they would attack now," Seiya said as he got up with his star headset. He knew they were going to have to talk later but right now someone was in trouble.

Usagi nodded her headed as she lifted up her brooch. "Moon Eternal Make Up!"

"Fighter Star Power, Make Up!"

The duo quickly ran in the direction of the disturbance.

Another scream sounded, it was male. Sailor Moon felt like all the wind was knocked out of her. She recognized the voice. It was his voice. Her eyes widened when she realized what was happening. "Mamo-chan!" Sailor Moon exclaimed as she paused for a moment before dashing forward to help him.

"Odango…" Sailor Star Fighter said softly as she began to catch up with Sailor Moon. That one name made Sailor Star Fighter feel like she was punched in the gut. She had forgotten about him. If they were going after his starseed then… he would get his memories back. Then she would go back to him… but they had just kissed. Her mind was racing. She shook her head trying to clear it and focus on defeating the animates and returning the starseed regardless of whom it belong to. It was her duty as a senshi. She could feel the knot developing in her stomach. Within the last two minutes everything had become so much more complicated. She ignored the uneasiness in her stomach. She forced herself to keep moving forward.

When Sailor Star Fighter and Sailor Moon arrived they witnessed Mamoru's starseed in the hands of Sailor Chi. She did not look happy. "Nothing! Not even a spark of Chaos!"

"Return his starseed!" Sailor Moon exclaimed as Sailor Chi.

Sailor Chi turned her attention to Sailor Moon with a raised eye brow. "Of course this is the Earth Prince's starseed… no wonder you're so upset. What would you do if I crushed it?"

Sailor Moon could feel tears forming in the back of her eyes at the thought of losing Mamoru forever.

"Sailor Moon," Sailor Star Fighter said as she tried to redirect her attention, "its okay. We're not going to let her hurt that starseed." She was trying to be reassuring in her words. But in reality she was conflicted. As a senshi she had to protect the starseed but it was Mamoru's. She wasn't sure what her relationship with Usagi was.

Sailor Moon took a deep breath. She knew that what Sailor Star Fighter told her had a lot of truth. She couldn't help Mamoru if she was panicking.

Sailor Chi laughed at the display before her. "Out of all the senshi, you are the one trying to comfort her about her lover. The irony!" Sailor Chi cackled. Sailor Phi and Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon appeared next to Sailor Chi. "I really should just destroy this starseed. I would love to see your face when that happens Sailor Moon. Have fun girls."

Sailor Phi didn't hesitate and lunged at Sailor Moon but was blocked by Sailor Star Fighter.

"Star Serious Laser!"

Sailor Phi waved her hand and Sailor Star Fighter's attack was easily brushed to the side. "Is that all you have? You have to try much harder than that!" Sailor Phi raised her staff in the air and summoned black energy that collected briefly before it turned in their direction. Sailor Star Fighter stood in Sailor Moon's path in order to protect her. She was pushed back into Sailor Moon.

"Fighter!" Sailor Moon exclaimed as she caught her before she fell over.

"Let's end this!" Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon exclaimed looking at Sailor Phi. "Galactica Firestorm!"

"Galactica Plants Blizzard!"

Sailor Moon knew she couldn't block the attacks or move out of the way in time. She closed her eyes and waited.

"Kinmoku Fusion Tempest!" Hundreds of olive blossoms surrounded Sailor Moon and Sailor Star Fighter which created a protective wall. Sailor Phi's and Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon's attacks were useless against it.

"Princess…" Sailor Star Fighter said as she slowly began to sit up.

Princess Kakyuu stood between Sailor Chi and Sailor Moon as well as Sailor Star Fighter, her hair blowing from the impact of the two attacks. When the rest of the blast cleared Princess Kakyuu helped Sailor Star Fighter to her feet.

Sailor Chi glared at Princes Kakyuu. Her appearance here made things more difficult. She was a powerful princess and if her powers were combined with the Moon Princess they would be a formidable force. She had to ruin Sailor Moon's focus and it would be easy if she crushed the starseed that belonged to the Earth Prince. Sailor Chi moved the starseed between both of her hands, "I think we'd be much better off with one less starseed to worry about." Her hands began to glow with dark energy.

"NO!" Sailor Moon screamed as her tiare appeared once more. Golden light flashed from the crown of the tiare. Sailor Moon was going to try to purify Sailor Chi to stop her from crushing the starseed in front of her.

The bright light hit Sailor Chi but didn't affect her. She laughed. "You will have to try harder than that!" She taunted her.

Sailor Moon's crescent emblem on her forehead flashed and another wave of energy erupted from the crown. This energy was different. It wasn't bright gold as before the energy had a bronze haze to it. Sailor Chi froze when she saw the energy head towards her. She was able to dodge most of the energy but some of it clipped her right shoulder. Sailor Chi grabbed her shoulder with her left arm. She stared at Sailor Moon before she said anything. "I should have seen this sooner." She said quietly.

Sailor Phi raised her staff preparing to attack Sailor Moon for Sailor Chi's injury. Sailor Phi raised her left arm as a way to signal her to stop. "We are done for today. They have the upper hand."

Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon looked at her in disbelief. "It's only a few senshi! We can stop them now!" Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon argued with her leader.

"No. We fall back for today," Sailor Chi said as she turned to her with an icy stare.

Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon took a step back when she noticed the look on her face. Something was going on that she was not aware of. She nodded her head and vanished. Sailor Chi and Sailor Phi followed suit.

The starseed was left floating in the air. Sailor Moon quickly retrieved the starseed and rushed over to Mamoru. He was fading fast. She returned the starseed and Mamoru began to feel his energy return to him.

Mamoru slowly sat up and as his eyes began to refocus.

"Mamo-chan?" Sailor Moon said softly as she waited for a response. She wanted nothing more to hug him. After everything that had happened he had better have his memories back.

"Usako," Mamoru said softly with a warm smile. He was back.

"Mamo-chan!" Sailor Moon exclaimed as she lunged forward to hug him.

"We should leave," Princess Kakyuu said quietly to Sailor Star Fighter. "I have much I wish to discuss with you and the other Starlights."

Sailor Star Fighter was utterly confused at what was going on. She nodded her head absently and began to follow her princess. She stole one last glance at Sailor Moon hugging Mamoru. Words could not describe how she was feeling at the moment.

When Sailor Moon and Mamoru broke apart, Mamoru wiped a few tears from Sailor Moon's eyes. "It's okay Usako. I'm not going anywhere."

Sailor Moon smiled and she reverted back to being Usagi. She looked around and noticed that Princess Kakyuu and Sailor Star Fighter had left. They were alone. She didn't give it a second thought. "There is so much I want to talk to you about!" Usagi said joyfully.

Mamoru nodded his head and helped her up from the ground. "But we should go somewhere quiet."

Usagi nodded her head in agreement and latched on to his arm as she has always done in the past. At that moment she didn't have a care in the world as she thought about finally being with a Mamoru with his memories. She was feeling like her old self.

"I can't believe she just ran out of her house like that and left me there!" Rei vented to Makoto as they walked down the sidewalk. "I mean who receives a telephone call then forgets they are talking to their friend! I know Usagi is absent minded but that is just ridiculous! Wait until I see her-" Rei stopped mid-sentence because she saw her. It was impossible to miss her with her hairstyle. Her arms were around another man's arm.

"Do you think?" Makoto said as she peered at the couple. He was tall and had dark hair. He was easily two feet taller than Usagi. "It is Mamoru-san!" Makoto said as she covered her mouth. She turned to Rei, "do you think he has his memories back?

"The way she is latched onto his arm he has to," Rei said with a smile. "Well if she ran out to see Mamoru-san I can forgive her based on the circumstances." She turned to Makoto with an all knowing look. "But you have to find out the details tomorrow." She said with a wink.

Makoto laughed. "You haven't changed at all Rei-chan."

Seiya entered the apartment without a word. It was clear he didn't want to talk. Yaten and Taiki gasped when they saw Princess Kakyuu enter after Seiya.

"Princess!" Yaten exclaimed as he jumped up from his seat and rushed over to her.

"Seiya, why didn't you say anything?" Taiki asked in a frustrated tone.

Seiya remained silent and sat down in a chair to the side. He seemed to be in his own little world.

Confused by his actions Taiki turned to Princess Kakyuu, "what happened?"

"There was another attack," Princess Kakyuu said as she sat down the couch. Taiki and Yaten sat down next to her. "They targeted the Prince of Earth. He is alright and Sailor Moon is tending to him."

Yaten and Taiki exchanged glances at each other. Yaten shook his head as if to say I told you so. Taiki looked over at Seiya and did not say anything else.

Princess Kakyuu continued to talk to the Three Lights but Seiya didn't pay attention to anything she said. He was off in his own world. All he could think about where the moments he shared with Usagi in the park right before the attack. She was upset about how everyone was treating her. Then she kissed him. He tried to pull away but she only pulled him closer and kissed more. They saved Mamoru and then Usagi acted like nothing had happened. Almost as if she forgot. He was completely baffled by her behavior. Even though she had kissed him a part of him felt guilty. He needed to try and have his thoughts in order before he saw her at school tomorrow.

After he listened to Usagi, Mamoru was amazed at how much he had missed in the short span of two weeks. Everyone else had their memories returned and he was the last one. The person that was most important to her. "I'm sorry you had to go through that again Usako."

"It's okay Mamo-chan," Usagi said sleepily as she nuzzled his arm. They were seated on his couch. "I had everyone helping me so it wasn't so bad. I'm just glad that things can go back to normal," Usagi said with a yawn. She closed her eyes for a moment.

Mamoru looked at her and was amazed how she could still remain so cheerful after everything she had been through since she became Sailor Moon. No one person should have to go through that much. Yet each time she was still smiling at the end. "Usako?" Mamoru said. He didn't hear a response. She had fallen asleep. It was kind of odd but she had been just been in a fight against some other senshi. She seemed to be sleeping peacefully so he let her be.

Meanwhile Usagi was in fact not sleeping peacefully. She was back in the park. A dark image appeared before her. "Sailor Moon!" The form took on the image of a woman with a flowing cape. "I am surprised you had it in you to kiss another man! What would Prince Endymion say if knew that you cheated on him with someone else? "

"That isn't true! I would never do that!" Usagi yelled at the form as her anger began to rise. She was not that kind of a person.

"Really?" The woman said with a smirk. "I guess I will have to show you what you refuse to remember." The woman created what looked like a portal. An image of herself with the Three Lights appeared. They were discussing Chaos with Galaxia.

Usagi gasped. "What is this?" She asked as watched the images.

"These are your memories. I believe Seiya offered to walk you home but you didn't want to go home yet. You went to the park." The woman said as the image changed in the portal.

Usagi watched what unfolded before her. She remembered going to the park with Seiya to talk. They sat down on a bench for a little bit and then rushed to help Mamoru. Nothing happened.

The woman smiled at her. "Keep watching," she directed her.

Usagi was upset in the images. As Usagi watched she vaguely remembered what they had discussed. As she watched the images more of her memories seemed to surface in her mind's eye. She leaned forward and kissed Seiya. She kissed him several times. Usagi felt a few tears trickle down her cheeks. She collapsed to her knees wordless.

The woman laughed. "I take it you remember now. What will he do when he finds out what you've done?"

Usagi remained on the ground crumpled. She kissed someone that wasn't Mamo-chan. Her heart felt like it was going to burst. She betrayed him and she hurt her best friend. How could she not remember something like this? She had dozens of questions running through her mind none of which she had any answers.

The woman smiled. Her work was done. The Moon Princess was in disarray and it was only going to make things easier.

Usagi gasped as she woke up.

"Hmm?" Mamoru said at Usagi's sudden movement. "Usako, are you all right?"

She didn't respond at first. In her mind she was panicking. She had to leave. She couldn't talk to Mamoru or even face him at the moment. "I… um… it's getting late!" Usagi said as she quickly stood up. "I need to get going. I have school tomorrow and my Mom is going to be really mad if I come home late…" Usagi said as she made excuses heading for the door. She fumbled with her shoes, quickly apologized and ran out the door.

Mamoru stared at the closed door. He was speechless by her actions. It was late and it probably would be best for her to go home and rest. He decided to meet her on her way to school to make sure she was feeling better. She would probably feel better after a night's rest. He decided to let her be.

Usagi knew she went to bed right after she went home, or at least tried to. But she couldn't forget what she remembered in her previous dream. She had a hard time having a restful sleep. She yawned as she began to put her things together for the day. If she could she'd crawl back into bed. As she put the rest of her things in her bag her hand brushed against a locket on the table. It was star shaped. She sighed. The locket made her think of him and what she had done. She opened the locket and listened to the sad melody. It only triggered more sadness. She began to cry as she listened.

Luna rubbed against her leg to try to comfort her. She didn't know why Usagi was upset but she wanted to comfort her. "Usagi-chan what happened yesterday? You were so quiet when you returned home."

Usagi continued to cry and didn't respond to Luna's question.

"Usagi-chan?" Luna asked as she sat down next to her. Concern was painted across her features. "You're starting to worry me."

"I...I… kissed Seiya…" Usagi finally admitted out loud.

Luna gasped as she stared at Usagi.

"USAGI!" Ikkuko yelled from downstairs. "You should have left the house for school ten minutes ago! Get going right now young lady!" She yelled at her daughter from the bottom of the staircase.

Luna sighed. It was the story of Usagi's life, always late for something. "Go to school and we will talk later tonight. I wouldn't tell the others."

Usagi gave a half smile to show appreciation for not telling the others. Usagi bolted out the front door and ran as fast as she could. In all reality she wanted to be left alone. She didn't even see Mamoru as she ran onto the school grounds.

Mamoru frowned. Something was wrong with her. The bell rang. He knew there was nothing he could do about it at that moment and decided to try again after school. He wanted to make sure she was okay and knew the other senshi would be back at some point since the majority of their targets where sitting in the same classroom.

Usagi had sat at her desk and noticed that Seiya was not sitting behind her. She looked around the room and noticed that Taiki and Yaten had already taken their seats. She had barely made it to school on time. A minute later he entered the classroom.

Seiya wasn't sure how to react seeing Usagi for the first time since yesterday. He hadn't told anyone what had happened. He already knew how Taiki and Yaten would react. If the girls found out that would be bad. And if the Haruka found out, that would be really bad. Seiya looked over at Usagi and their eyes met briefly. She quickly looked away as if she was ashamed. Seiya sat down with a thud behind her. He wanted to ask her what the kiss meant but he couldn't do it in the classroom in front of everyone else. He was determine to have some answers by the end of the day.

Minako looked at the two and shrugged her shoulders. Makoto had told her last night that she had seen Usagi with Mamoru and he seemed to have his memories back so it was natural for Seiya to be a little bummed since Usagi was going to be spending all her time with Mamoru again.

Taiki looked over at Yaten with a worried glance. Whatever was going on seemed to spill into the next day. It seemed to be a pattern with his girl and they needed to get to the bottom of this.

The teacher walked into the room and classes began. Usagi was actually glad to be in class for a moment because she didn't have to talk to anyone. But it left her alone with her thoughts. She wasn't able to pay attention to the lesson at all. This wasn't new to her.

Lunch time arrived and Seiya finally built up enough courage to speak to her. Usagi was gathering up her things to eat lunch with the girls like she normally did. "Odango."

Usagi paused for a moment as she heard his voice. She knew what it was about but she was afraid to face him and hurt him even more. She looked at him with sadness in her eyes. "Hmm?" She said softly unsure of what to say.

"We need to talk…" Seiya began to say but he realized this wasn't the place or time. When they did talk it needed to be somewhere more private. "Later. After school."

Usagi nodded her head. "I agree," she said as she picked up her lunch. "The other girls are waiting for me. I need to go," she said as she began to take a few steps away from her desk.

"See you then," said Seiya as he grabbed his own lunch. He headed up the rooftop to think things over and figure out what exactly he was going to say. If anything he wanted to know more than anything was why.

Usagi sat down with the other girls at lunch time. They waited for her to say something about Mamoru but she sat quietly and ate her lunch.

"So Usagi-chan…" Minako said as she moved closer to her. Usagi didn't respond. "Ne Usagi-chan…" Minako said again as she moved even closer. Usagi still didn't respond. Minako couldn't take it anymore. "Usagi-chan! I heard you spent the night with Mamoru-san…" Minako said as she gave her a coy look.

"Eh?" Usagi said as she stopped eating for a moment. "Oh! Mamo-chan got his memories back!" She said with a smile. She was once again putting up a front before the others. "We talked for a while I told him everything that was going on."

"And….?" Minako asked as she tried to obtain more information from her.

"The Starlight's Princess appeared yesterday. She saved Fighter and me when we were protecting Mamo-chan's starseed," said Usagi as she began to replay some of the events from yesterday. She thought of what happened when she was in the park with Seiya. She couldn't tell the others what happened. She grew unnaturally quiet.

"Seiya-kun was there?" Ami said wondering out loud. "That must be why he was so quiet this morning. First Galaxia and then Princess Kakyuu..." Ami said as her voice trailed off. "What is going to happen next?"

Hotaru dropped the glass from her hand. The glass broke and the water was quickly absorbed by the carpet. She stared at the ground with fear in her eyes.

"Hotaru, what's wrong?" Setsuna asked her and she looked her over to make sure she wasn't injured from the broken glass. Haruka and Michiru were on their feet behind Setsuna.

"The Princess," Hotaru said quietly. She paused before she continued. She shook her head and then looked at the others. "They are after our Princess!" Hotaru exclaimed to others.

Setsuna, Michiru and Haruka exchanged worried glances. Hotaru has never been wrong on any of her premonitions in the past. The four ran out the door.

"We need to talk," Taiki said as he directed Yaten and Seiya to the roof top after classes.

Seiya tried his best to get out of it in order to talk to Usagi but he wasn't successful. He knew he wouldn't be able to get out of it. He was better off talking to them quickly and then finding Usagi. He only vaguely paid attention to what they were discussing. His mind focused on the conversation he needed to have with Usagi about yesterday.

"I don't know what has gotten into you since yesterday but you haven't been paying attention to anything the Princess has told us," Yaten said with an angry tone. "She is our princess and you have to be listening when she gives us our orders. The quicker we finish this mission the quicker we can return home and continue to rebuild our planet."

"Unless you don't want to return to Kinmoku," Taiki interjected.

Seiya didn't say anything but turned his direction to the figures down below. He gasped at what he saw.

Usagi saw Taiki and Yaten practically drag Seiya from the classroom which made it difficult for them to talk. She knew how much Seiya wanted to talk to her but in a way she was glad the talk could be postponed. She didn't know what she would say.

Usagi left the classroom and headed down the staircase to her cubbyhole to change her shoes before heading out for the day. No one else was around. She sighed as she put her shoes on. She was still a little tired but it seemed like some of her energy had finally come back to her. She walked out of the building toward the gate. She wasn't sure how long she was going to be able to delay the conversation. She sighed. She wished everything wasn't so complicated. She was lost in her thoughts and didn't realize who was waiting for her.

"We've waited a long time for this," Sailor Chi as she looked at Usagi. Next to her stood Sailor Chi on her right and to her right was Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon. On Sailor Chi's left stood Sailor Lethe and Sailor Mnemosyne. All of the animates were there in front of Usagi.

Usagi froze. She was terrified. Everyone was before her and she knew at that moment she was their target. She did the only thing she could. "Moon Eternal, Make Up!" Feathers surrounded Usagi as she quickly transformed into Sailor Moon.

"I just wanted to enjoy a peaceful walk home and you interrupted that plan! For Love and Justice a sailor suited pretty soldier, Sailor Moon! In the name of the Moon I'll punish you!" Sailor Moon exclaimed as she struck a pose. She knew she was about to be in the battle for her life. She hoped the others would find her soon.

Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon was the first to step forward. She was going to be the first to attack Sailor Moon. She began to charge at Sailor Moon. A red flash stopped her in her tracks. Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon took a few steps back and looked at the object on the ground in front of her. It was a red rose.

"Tuxedo Kamen!" Sailor Moon exclaimed as he landed next to her. She felt relieved to see him in her time of need.

Tuxedo Kamen took a few steps in front of her to stand between her and the five animates. "Be careful Sailor Moon. We are outnumbered." He told her as he tried to help her stay focused on the adversaries.

Sailor Moon looked at the five women before her. She knew she couldn't purify all of them at once. She had a hard enough time when she tried to purify just one of them. She knew she wouldn't be able to stop them all at once.

Sailor Phi took a few steps forward entering the battle. "I've always wanted to battle the Earth Prince," she said. She raised her staff and charged at him.

Tuxedo Kamen pulled out his cane and was able to block the attack from Sailor Phi.

While Tuxedo Kamen was busy defending himself against Sailor Phi, Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon took the opportunity to attack Sailor Moon. "Galactica Firestorm!"

A wave of golden energy blocked to the attack.

Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon took a few steps back as she saw Sailor Galaxia. Even though Sailor Chi had assured her this would be simple and they would find Chaos today she was still scared of the golden senshi. She did not want to fight against her.

"Galactica Plants Blizzard!" Sailor Chi attacked Sailor Galaxia to distract her. The appearance of this senshi prompted quick action before others appeared. She needed to end this today. Their leader told them last night the vessel was in a state of disarray and that she had seen to it personally. She told them the time to attack was tomorrow. She even told them whom to target.

A few red butterflies caught Sailor Moon's attention. Princess Kakyuu stood to her left. "We will not let you harm her," Princess Kakyuu said as she looked at Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon.

Sailor Lethe charged forward at the Princess of Kinmoku. "No one will stand in our way!"

A large flash of energy caught Seiya's attention from the rooftop. He looked down and gasped at what he saw before him. Sailor Galaxia stood by Tuxedo Kamen and Princess Kakyuu stood in front of Sailor Moon.

"She's being attacked and the Princess is down there!" Seiya exclaimed as he put his hands against the fence. Taiki and Yaten rushed to his side and peered down. What he spoke was true. "We have to help them!" Seiya said as he fumbled to pull out his star headset from his pocket.

"Fighter Star Power, Make Up!"

"Healer Star Power, Make Up!"

"Maker Star Power, Make Up!"

As soon as the three had transformed, Sailor Star Fighter literally jumped off the roof. She needed to help them as soon as possible and it was the quickest way. Sailor Star Maker and Sailor Star Healer exchanged confused looks at each other for a moment and then quickly followed suit. The Sailor Starlights entered the battle.

Sailor Mnemosyne noticed the Starlights jumping from the roof. Sailor Star Fighter landed first followed by her two comrades. She didn't want to give them a chance to do anything. She fired several blasts of dark energy at them. This immediately put them on the defensive.

"Starlights!" Princess Kakyuu exclaimed as she saw them dodge the attack seconds after they landed to their right. They distracted Princess Kakyuu long enough to not see Sailor Lethe charging forward at her.

"Mars Flame Sniper!" A crimson arrow flew past Sailor Lethe and was within inches of hitting her. Sailor Lethe stopped in her tracks. She looked in the direction the arrow was shot from. Sailor Mars had her arms outstretched and her flaming bow was still in her hands. Next to her stood Sailor Venus, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Mercury, each ready to attack.

"Regroup!" Sailor Chi commanded as the animates jumped to her side. The other senshi gathered together on the opposite side. Sailor Chi smiled at the senshi's response. They were exactly where she wanted them to be. Sailor Chi looked at the other animates. Each was waiting for her cue to attack the other senshi. "Now!" Sailor Chi directed them. They all joined hands and gathered energy. "Galactica Attack!"

A large blast of dark energy flew at the senshi. It was impossible for any of them to block that much dark energy. The energy knocked all of them to their feet. It took some of them longer than others to recover. Sailor Moon slowly rose to her feet. She felt responsible for this attack since she was the one the animates originally targeted. She ignored Sailor Galaxia's plead from yesterday. She was angry. She summoned her tiare.

But Sailor Chi was faster. Two blasts of golden energy flew from her bracelets directionally at Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon felt like the wind was knocked out of her lungs when the blast hit her. She screamed. She remembered this pain. This was the third time she experienced this.

Sailor Saturn felt her stomach turn in knots. The closer they came to the school the more anxious she felt. Something was about to happen and she kept pushing herself forward desperately trying to get there in time to help against what she wasn't sure. Sailor Saturn felt relief once the school was finally in sight. The four senshi turned the corner and entered the school grounds just in time to see a flash of golden light and hear Sailor Moon scream.

"No!" Sailor Saturn shouted as a flower began to form out of Sailor Moon's chest. "We are too late…." She spoke the last words barely above a whisper.

The tangerine flower opened and a bright pure white starseed emerged.

Sailor Chi had to temporarily cover her eyes to due to the intensity of the starseed. "This starseed has the brightest shine I have ever seen…" She waited and held her breath. She continued to stare at the starseed waiting in anticipation.

The starseed's light quickly began to dim.

"No." Princess Kakyuu said shaking her head in disbelief. "Not her!" She shouted as the events unfolded before her. She knew what was about to happen next and there was no way she could stop it. It was her greatest fear. It was something she had kept from her senshi because she was afraid of how Fighter would react.

A bolt of dark energy erupted from the starseed tainting it. Within a few seconds more dark energy began to flow from the starseed. Sailor Moon screamed out again in agony this time. She didn't understand what was happening to her.

Sailor Galaxia looked on in disbelief. "Chaos…" she murmured. "How can we stop Chaos now?" Sailor Galaxia said as her eyes darted back and forth. She tried desperately to figure out a way to stop the release of the energy from the starseed. She hadn't determined a way to seal Chaos and now Chaos was free.

"Usagi!" Sailor Mars exclaimed as she became extremely worried based on the reactions of Princess Kakyuu and Sailor Galaxia. Sailor Venus didn't say anything but covered her mouth with her hand as she watched in disbelief. Sailor Jupiter turned her head to the side. She couldn't watch it anymore. Sailor Mercury closed her eyes and hoped it would be over with soon.

"This is what Galaxia warned us about yesterday…" Sailor Star Healer said as her voice trailed off. She didn't think that Chaos would appear so soon.

Sailor Star Maker felt a sense of dread as she spoke, "this is horrible!"

Sailor Star Fighter was unable to talk. Tears streamed down her face. She couldn't believe this was happening. She partly blamed herself. If they had been able to talk after school she could have protected her more.

"How could this be?" Sailor Pluto asked as she watched Sailor Moon's starseed transform from pure light to pure darkness. This was never supposed to happen. She had never foreseen this.

"What do we do now?" Sailor Neptune asked as she looked over at Sailor Uranus for direction. Sailor Uranus shook her head.

Tuxedo Kamen had stood there watching everything. He had to do something to try and stop what has happening. He rushed forward as the ebony starseed floated in the air. The starseed began to float over to Sailor Chi. The black energy began to swirl around Sailor Moon as if consuming her. The same dark energy that was surrounding Sailor Moon struck out and hit Tuxedo Kamen.

Tuxedo Kamen fell to his knees. "Usako!" He shouted as he tried to get through to her.

Sailor Chi laughed with amusement. "Finally!" She exclaimed as some of the dark energy that was surrounding Sailor Moon began to enter her body.

Waves of dark energy began to enter Sailor Moon's body. A few seconds later the energy vanished and Sailor Moon stood there. She lowered her head and snapped open her eyes. Her eyes had an icy hue to them. They were a darker shade of blue, almost pitch black. The sparkle from them was gone. She looked over at her Sailor Senshi and smiled. Then she laughed, a laugh of pure evil. "To be free again!" She exclaimed with glee. "Now I can finish what Galaxia failed to do!"

Who predicted Sailor Moon had Chaos trapped in her starseed? Who else's starseed would be powerful enough to keep Chaos at bay for so long? This is why Usagi has been acting so tired and different. It is just as Galaxia had told them Chaos acts them to do things they normally wouldn't do. As a defense mechanism Usagi's mind tried to block things she had done. She never remember meeting with the animates conveying them messages and why she struggled to remember kissing Seiya.

Even though in the anime the senshi referred to Tuxedo Kamen as Tuxedo Kamen-sama I've dropped the suffix at the end. In the manga and Sailor Moon Crystal he is simply Tuxedo Kamen. He's just not that special. None of the other senshi have sama or san at the end of their names and they are a lot more important. :P

So what is going to happen now that Chaos as a new host? Things are going to get really interesting! Going to see the dark side of Usagi and there are some really wicked things in store for everyone on April 14th! See you in Act 10: The Birth of A Star
