A/N Sight unseen is one of those episodes that frustrates viewers and not because Prue is stalked by a human, which isn't a part of this story, but because in this episode Prue tries out a demon alarm, something which in this story they've had on the house for months, it just hasn't been tested by a demon getting into the house yet. In the episode Cole breaks into the Manor hoping to learn more about them and sets it off.

And here's the frustrating part, Piper and Phoebe refuse to believe he's a demon and actually mock Prue. Cole, himself threatens them with legal action, claiming it's the equivalent of a shotgun rigged behind a door. Prue never trusts Cole and is vindicated just a few episodes later when it's proven he is a demon, at least half, anyway.

As time went on fans wanted Cole and Phoebe together and Cole did come to love her, I believe that, but given these early episodes, their relationship should never have progressed to that point, because, like with Angel on Buffy, there's no reason to trust him enough to get to that point.

Unlike with Angel though, on Charmed I found Cole's quest for redemption believable. What I didn't find believable was the girls willingness to let him get to that point. So, in order to get them to a point where it might be believable, he can't act the same way as in the episode.

"I had a great time tonight." Phoebe told Cole as he parked in the driveway at the Manor.

"Does that mean you'd be willing to try an actual second date with me?" Cole asked.

"Yes, I do believe I would." Phoebe assured him. "You've caught my attention, Cole Turner and I'd like to get to know you better."

"You've caught my attention too, Phoebe Halliwell." He assured her in return. He leaned over and kissed her. "May I walk you to your door, Miss Halliwell?" He asked after the kiss ended.

"You may, Mr. Turner." Phoebe smiled at the old fashioned gallantry of the wording of the question. Cole's entire approach was very different than any other man who'd been interested in her and Phoebe was finding it very appealing. She waited while he got out of the car and came around to her side and opened her door for her. He offered her his arm and she accepted it. It was only a few steps to the base of the porch where they stopped and kissed again.

"I'm going to call you tomorrow and officially ask you on a second date." He told her when the kiss ended. "Once I've put together a list of options."

"Options, huh?" This too was new and Phoebe wasn't sure if Cole was just trying something different or if this was his usual way of dating. Either way, she was interested in getting to know him better. "Then I'll be looking forward to your call." She smiled at him, watching him as he walked back to his car and paused to look at her before he got back in it and drove off. 'This is looking like a very promising beginning.' She thought. 'I just have to be open to the possibilities.' Before heading into the house.

Cole was thinking similar thoughts but for a different reason. He briefly considered breaking into the house to look for information on any weaknesses they might have, but decided not to. They'd already proven innovative when they'd been working to protect their ancestor, Melinda Warren, who knew what surprises they might have in the house. Besides, Phoebe had already mentioned that her sister's boyfriend lived with them. He was still a little fuzzy on few things, she often refered to her sisters in general and she'd mentioned names, two of which he recognized as her sisters, Piper and Phoebe, as well as Prue's husband, Andy. But she'd mentioned two other names, Xander and Cordelia and hadn't clarified who they were, aside from them living next door to them and seemed to be good friends. Were they the allies who'd followed them to the past and/or the other witch the Grimlock had mentioned? He needed information, but using legal means to run background checks would alert the police and he already knew Prue was married to Andy Trudeau, a police officer who no doubt kept a very active eye on anyone trying to find out anything about the sisters, he'd undoubtedly have their names and their friends names flagged in case anyone did try to find information on them. Gaining Phoebe's trust was therefore the best way to get close to the sisters.

But that didn't mean there weren't other ways of getting information, he just had to intimidate some demons into helping him gain said information.
