Dragon's Ground
"You know that I still don't trust this idea." Sayo stated as she stared at Finsternis with crossed arms.
As of right now, the two female Holy Swords are making final preparations before they head off.
"Yes, I suppose that you would still be denail of this plan." Finsternis commented, tilting her head to the side slightly.
"What do you expect? I don't even know who you are underneath that hood...even though you could be roughly the same age as Asta." Sayo responded, judging from the tone of voice that Finsternis is speaking in.
"True." The wielder of Kurayami commented with a thoughtful expression underneath her hood.
"Where exactly are we going? I'm a citizen of Wonder World, along with being a member of the witch clan, but I never heard of a place that is connected to dragons." Sayo commented with a small frown on her face, attempting to think of any information that she has on dragons, but the only thing that the wielder of Shinkiro can come up with are the motifs for Saber and Calibur.
"I wouldn't be surprised. There are only a select few who knows the existence of the location, a place that holds historical value. I only knew about the location's existence due to Kurayami's visions and being told what the location is." Finsternis explained, causing Sayo to become curious at this.
However, it was then that a new thought appeared in Sayo's head.
"Why exactly are you doing this? What are you getting out of this?" The wielder of Shinkiro asked, giving the wielder of Kurayami a questioning look.
"…." Finsternis became quiet and Sayo noticed how she started to gain an uncomfortable aura around her.
"If you know my identity, then my reasons would make more sense." Finsternis explained in a slightly nervous tone of voice.
"So why are you hiding your identity, is there a specific reason?" Sayo asked, starting to become worried for the first time.
"….." Finsternis became more uncomfortable.
"Just who are you?" Sayo thought, fighting the urge to simply remove the hood herself.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Storious asked as he glance down at a large Alter-Ride book that is in his hands.
As of right, Liegel has managed to regain consciousness and like before, eager to fight Saber.
"Absolutely." Liegel responded, a smirk being present on his face.
"You need to be aware that whilst this forbidden technique will add a new page to your book to draw its power to its absolute limits, there is no turning back. I wouldn't be surprised if your body will start to fall apart during the middle of the battle, considering how unstable your body already is." Storious explained in a calm tone of voice.
"Just do it." Liegel responded simply, causing Storious to sigh slightly before making the large Alter-Ride book start to float into the aid whilst taking out a pen.
The Megid General started to write symbols around the Alter-Ride book.
After a few seconds, the large Alter-Ride book started to get consumed by a fiery aura, causing it change, changing the colour to a light brown.
The fiery aura started to get absorb into Liegel, causing him to become covered in the firey aura this time.
"This time, Saber, your mine!" Liegel said as his eyes started to glow red.
Zoous watched with an interesting expression on face before a thought occurred to him.
"And how are you going to find and fight Saber? You just went on a rampage without a thought about the swordsman of flames exact location." Zoous pointed out, causing Liege's glowing eyes to stare at him.
The question caused Storious to chuckle darkly.
"I may have an idea." The Megid General responded, a cruel smile appearing on his face.
"We were informed about the transformation that your body has under gone, but I didn't thought that it would be this bad!" Shan exclaimed in a shock tone of voice.
Currently, Finsternis has taken Asta and Yuri has taken them to grassy field where they met up with Shan, Ekrixi, Olivia, Kecil and Utama.
"How...how are you feeling?" Ekrixi asked, becoming worried.
"….I'm still getting use to my dragon body….." Asta responded in a slight unsure tone of voice.
"….." Kecil and Utama remained silent as they stared at Asta.
"So, your the new wielder of Kurayami." Ekrixi said as he turned his attention towards Ombre.
"That's correct, Sir Staria." Finsternis responded, nodding her head slightly.
Ekrixi continued to examine the wielder of Kurayami for a few more seconds until speaking.
"I want to say thank you for helping my grandson through his current predicament." The former wielder of Rekka said with a small smile on his face.
"You're welcome, Sir Staria." Finsternis responded, making Ekrixi nod his head slightly.
"So. Where are we heading now?" Shan asked, deciding to move on with the situation, she being confused as well with the stumbling of words.
"Our destination is beyond those mountains, it will be trek through." Finsternisexplained as she turned around to a set of mountains that are bearing down on the group of nine.
"Dragon's Ground, huh." Olivia commented, making the wielder of Kurayami to nod her head in response.
You know where we're heading, Chief Olivia?" Shan asked, becoming surprised.
"Well, I know we are in the area that we're close to Dragon's Ground, but I didn't expect to be heading there. A location with a much larger and denser Mana then any other strong magic regions." Olivia explained with a thoughtful expression on her face.
"Why weren't we informed about this specific strong magic region?" Utama asked, becoming confused, she being joined by her younger sister.
"Just because you are apart of a group of witches that protect the shrine, it doesn't mean get to know everything. Some stuff are much more sensitive. Even Sayo doesn't know." Olivia explained, causing a small pouts to appear on both of the Arcana sister's faces.
"So how exactly is this strong magic region supposed to help Asta tame the chaotic Mana?" Ekrixi asked, starting to become concerned for his grandson's wellbeing.
"I suppose that a history lesson is required." Yuri spoke, making everyone turn their heads towards him.
"There exists five powerful dragons, known as the Primordial Dragons, four of them corresponding to the four main magical attributes whilst the fifth hold the attribute of lighting, consider the lighting dragon to be the younger sibling of the dragon of the wind attribute, and these five dragons are powerful enough to shape the infinite world of Wonder World." Yuri began his explanation.
"S-seriously!" Everyone, minus Finsternis, shouted, causing the "wielder" of Saikou to jump.
"T-The five dragons are capable of that?!" Shan exclaimed in a shock tone of voice.
"Huh? You didn't know that?" Asta asked, staring at his grandaunt.
"No. We may have been high ranking Magic Knight within the Sword of Logos, but we weren't informed about this." Sahra explained, making Ekrixi nod his head in confirmation.
"So Dragon's Ground is to honor those five dragons?" Utama asked, making Yuri nod his head.
"That's correct, and it will also provide us with the means of dealing with Asta's situation." The "wielder" of Saikou explained before glancing towards Finsternis who jumped slightly as everyone's attention is placed onto her.
"My idea involves Asta to call upon the Mana of the Primordial Dragons and use them to "clean" the chaotic Mana." Finsternis explained, making Asta to become tense.
"So there will be a chance that Asta may meet these five dragons?" Kecil asked, becoming curious.
"I suppose that he'd may hear their voices, all dragons are descendants of the Primordial Dragons, so I wouldn't be surprise that they would at least make their presence known." Yuri explained, causing Kecil to nod her head slightly whilst Asta became surprise.
"Really? All dragons are descendants of the Primordial Dragons?" Asta asked, making the "wielder" of Saikou to nod his head.
"Yes. That's the main reason why Kurayami, one of the twin origin swords, is paired with a dragon, along with Rekka, the first sword forged by the Sword of Logos." Yuri explained, yet Asta started to gain a frown on his face as he took out "Primitive Dragon".
"So the same can be said with Primitive Dragon, but what happened to him?" Asta thought, becoming concerned as he remembered the conversation he had with the human form of Primitive Dragon.
"We'd better start moving, there's a lot we need to do and we need to do it within a time window, and there could be chance that there will be some unwanted company coming." Finsternis explained, making everyone to nod their heads.
"I wonder how Aunt and Bahadur are doing?" Asta wondered, the two of them having been giving a different task.
"Why did I agreed to go along with this?" Sayo questioned in an annoyed tone of voice.
Currently, the wielder of Shinkiro and the wielder of Endless Dash are positioned behind a group of large rocks.
"You know that Miss Finsternis is being cautious about the visions that she saw." Bahadur pointed out, attempting to keep the atmosphere calm.
"I still don't fully trust that girl! I only agreed because of Yuri." Sayo said, remembering how the "wielder" of Saikou took a long time to persuade her to go along with Finsternis's plan.
"I'm sure that Asta is okay in Finsternis's presence. He's with Granduncle, Gran, Chief Olivia, Kecil and Utama." Bahadur explained, causing Sayo to become silent for a few seconds before huffing slightly.
"I still don't like it." Sayo muttered as she look down at the ground.
"You sound like a child having a tantrum." Bahadur thought, shaking his head slightly before turning his gaze to a village that is located some distance away.
"So this is Hage Village, the place that Asta grew up in." Bahadur commented as he stare at the open-field village.
"Yes, and that's supposed to be the skull of the Demon that almost destroyed the Clover Kingdom 500 years ago." Sayo said as she stared up at the massive three-eyed skull.
"If that's the skull, then I don't want to imagine the actual size of the Demon." Bahadur said, shuddering slightly at the thought before another thought appeared in his head.
"I hope that the Magic Knights won't be suspicious of our presence." The wielder of Endless Dash commented, imagining the Magic Knights becoming confused at their presence within Hage Village, already fighting the appeared threat.
"They probably focus on the threat first before focusing their attention onto us." Sayo responded, making Bahadur nod his head in response.
The journey through the mountains was bearable until the group started to feel the Mana rising.
"It's look like we're approaching the strong magic region." Ekrixi commented in a calm tone of voice, yet started to worry at the swirling mass of clouds that is likely caused by the dense Mana.
"Would we be able to walk through it? Won't we will be able to walk through it safely?" Kecil asked, becoming concerned herself.
"It will be impossible to even enter the strong magic region with those clouds." Olivia responded, causing everyone to stare at the chief witch.
"Then how are we supposed to reach Dragon's ground then?" Shan asked, raising an eye-brow.
"Those possessing a large quantity of Mana and physical strength will be able to break through the cloud-like barrier. like Lady Mereoleone for example." Olvia explained, making Shan nod her head slightly.
"No surprises there." Asta thought, imagining the former captain of the Crimson Lions breaking through the cloud-like barrier with a confident smile on her face.
"Or another method would be through the powers of Kurayami and Saikou, the sword of light I mean, not the Holy Sword wielder themselves." Olivia further explained, causing Yuri to flinch.
"Owch." The "wielder" of Saikou responded, a slight hurtful expression appearing on his face.
"Oh! I'm sure you'll manage to get us through! The wielder of the two swords will need a large amount of Mana to pierce through the cloud-like barrier, or so I heard." Olivia said with a reassuring tone of voice.
"…...You're not helping." Yuri said in a depressed tone of voice.
This cause everyone to sweat-drop.
"I think that we're closing onto the entrance." Ekrixi said as he looked at the path ahead and saw that a large mass of clouds are blocking their way.
"Right. I leave everything to you." Finsternis said as she pass Kurayami to Yuri.
The "wielder" of Saikou took the sword of shadows as the group got closer to the mass of clouds.
Before long, the group are starting in front of the mass of clouds which they feel a dense amount of Mana coming from it.
"Good luck, Mr Yuri." Asta said as he and everyone stand a few feet away from Yuri.
"You don't need to tell me twice." The "wielder" of both Saikou and Kurayami responded with a small smirk on his face as he glanced over his shoulder before turning his attention onto the mass of clouds.
Everyone expected that it will take a few minutes for Yuri to charge up Mana within Kurayami, due to how it holds the opposite attribute to him.
However, everyone became wide eyed when they saw that it only took a much shorter time for the gold blade of Kurayami to become clad in a purple aura.
"Hah!" Yuri exclaimed as he swing Saikou and Kurayami in an X shape, easily cutting through the mass of clouds.
"Still have it I see….." Yuri mused as he glanced down at the two swords in his hands before turning to face the others…..where most of them have stunned expressions on their faces.
"…..What?" Yuri asked, becoming slightly nervous at the stares he's getting.
"N-nothing. Lets move on everyone, I don't think that "entrance" will remain open for long." Ekrixi said as he got out of his stunned state, causing the others to get out their own stunned state.
Yuri stepped to the side to allow the others to enter through the "entrance" first with Finsternis coming in last.
"Here's Kurayami back." Yuri said as he hand the sword of shadows back to Finsternis.
"W-what sort of strong magic region is this?!" Asta exclaimed in a shock of voice as he and the others stood within a valley of sorts where the ground is glowing with colours of red, blue, green, brown and yellow.
"I suppose that the colours are to represent each dragon." Utama commented with a thought expression on her face.
"T-the air is certainly cold." Shan commented whilst shivering, her teeth chittering slightly.
Even though Yuri told them to wear thick clothing, they weren't ready for the exact temperature that engulf the strong magic region.
This is much worse for the former wielder of Endless Dash who lived in the desert.
"I don't mind the cold." Ekrixi commented with Asta nodding his head in agreement.
This cause a pout to appear Shan's face before suddenly hugging Ekrixi.
"Huh?!" Ekrixi said, he and the others becoming surprise at Shan's action.
"What? You don't mind sharing the heat, we're partners after all." Shan pointed out, causing Ekrixi to become silent.
"Gah!" Asta exclaimed as both Kecil and Utama suddenly hug his arms.
"Hu-wha?!" The dragon-formed teen said, becoming confused as he glance between the two witches.
"What? You don't mind sharing your heat as well?" Utama asked, a small smile appearing on her face.
"Eh….well…." Asta attempted to say a sentence, but couldn't before deciding to glance towards Kecil where a small blush has appeared on her face.
"You two…..are kind of…..close….." Asta managed to say, causing the two witches to look at each other before giggling slightly.
Even though Kecil and Utama can feel the chaotic Mana coming from Asta, they didn't felt any discomfort.
"Is there room for one more?" Olivia asked as she look at Ekrixi and Shan.
"Sure!" Shan responded before Ekrixi could responded, making a smile appear on Olvia's face before stepping closer to the pair.
"Well. Glad to see that everyone is keeping each other warm." A voice spoke, causing everyone to turn their heads towards the voice to see Finsternis and Yuri.
"Where are we heading now?" Ekrixi asked, still slightly getting use to getting hugged by his sister-in-law.
"Our final destination is that way." Yuri said as he turned towards as a direction, causing everyone else to do the same.
Through the glowing light, Asta could faintly make out an unusual shape in the middle of the valley, or was it a smoothed down large rock?
The group made their way towards the large rock(?), which was somewhat difficult, due to crossing the glowing ground and keeping close to keep warm.
After a while, the group of eight reached the large rock, which was in fact a building of some sorts placed within a large courtyard.
"A Dungeon?" Asta muttered, as he glanced up at the building.
"Hmmm. I would expect that "temple" is a better word, considering where we are." Kecil responded in a thoughtful tone of voice.
"Good point." Asta said as he and the others continued to head into the main building.
"Fhew! Warmth at last." Olivia said as the group entered the main building and felt that it's much warmer.
"Where to next?" Ekrixi asked, glancing towards Yuri.
"Through that corridor up ahead. That will lead to a chamber where Asta will perform the…..ritual." Yuri explained, causing the former wielder of Rekka to gain a slight unsure expression on his face.
"G-girls. Can you please let go off me!" A voice spoke in a distressed tone of voice, causing mostly everyone to turn towards the voice and saw Asta attempting to break free from Kecil and Utama, but the two witches still have a strong grip on the dragon-formed teen.
"Why? We're still feeling the cold, aren't we Sis?" Utama said as she glance towards Kecil.
"Hm-hm." Kecil responded whilst nodding her head in agreement.
Asta looked at the others with a pleading expression on his face.
"Come on now you two, time to release Asta." Olivia said, causing both Kecil and Utama to gain pouts on their faces.
This cause a relieved expression to appear on Asta's face.
"Don't act like that girls…...you can hug him as much as you want afterwards." Olivia said, a smirk appearing on her face.
This cause grins to appear on Kecil's and Utama's faces whilst horror appeared on Asta's face.
"Chief Olivia. Please can we focus on more important matters." Ekrixi stated, a small frown appearing on his face as he stare at the chief witch, causing her to giggle slightly with a sheepish smile on her face.
This cause the two witches to release their hold Asta who immediately took a few steps back.
"S-so. Shall we started." Asta asked, keen on performing this ritual(?).
"…" Yuri became quiet.
"What's wrong?" Shan asked, she and everyone else started to became concerned.
"…..We can't exactly perform the ritual just yet….." Yuri responded in a weak tone of voice.
"Why not?" Ekrixi asked, becoming worried.
"We…..have to wait until the Mana in the region gets to a high point…" Yuri explained, still in a weak tone of voice.
"…...What?!" Asta exclaimed in a shock tone of voice.
"It makes sense though, considering what this place is." Finsternis pointed out in a calm tone of voice.
"So how long we have to wait?" Sayo asked, a concerned expression appearing on her face.
The "wielder" of Saikou took out a circular device and looked at it.
"Hmmm. A few hours I estimate." Yuri responded in a thoughtful tone of voice.
This cause a depress express to appear on Asta's face.
As they wait until the Mana in Dragon's Ground increases, the group made camp at the entrance of the "Dungeon" with Olivia using her origami magic to create a fire, which in reality was an origami-made red bird called Flame Vellamental.
"I'm a bit curious, Mr Yuri." Olivia began to say as she look towards the "wielder" of Saikou, causing everyone else to look at the chief witch.
"How did you inherit Saikou? As far I'm aware, the sword of light has only been recorded to be wielded by one person before mysteriously disappearing." Olivia explained, becoming curious.
This cause everyone else to turn their attention towards Yuri who leaned back slightly from the stares he's getting.
"….." The "wielder" of Saikou became quiet for a few seconds before speaking.
"I didn't inherit Saikou, I am the first and current wielder of Saikou." Yuri said, causing everyone to become silent for a dew seconds until…
"What?!" Everyone exclaimed in a shock tone of voice, making Yuri jump.
"Your immortal?" Ekrixi asked, tilting his head to the side slightly.
"In a sense, yes. In the distant past, I'd merged with Saikou, thus possessing longevity for 2000 years." Yuri responded, causing the wielder of Endless Dash and everyone to widen their eyes.
"I guess that's why Mr Yuri's consciousness transfers into Saikou rather than possessing his own armour until using Saikou Shadow." Asta thought, gaining an interested expression on his face.
"So that would mean that you witness the starting point of the Sword of Logos's battle against the Megid…..as both the wielder of Saikou and Kurayami!" Shan commented, saying the last in a surprise tone of voice which cause everyone to become surprise at this realization.
"Yes, indeed. Such a tragic beginning really." Yuri responded, gaining a sad expression on his face, yet this cause everyone else to become confuse.
"What do you mean by that?" Ekrixi asked, a small frown appearing on his face.
"I'd only heard this from a friend of mine, who goes by the name of Viktor, but 2000 years ago, he along with a female Mage and another man were friends with the three Megid Generals…..who were originally humans." Yuri began his story, causing everyone to become wide eyed.
"T-the three Megid Generals were humans?!" Asta exclaimed in a shock tone of voice, casing Yuri to nod his head.
"Yes. The six of them discovered the existence of the Almighty Grimoire and for reasons that I'm unaware of, a conflict arises which resulted in the three former humans to transform into the first Megids and wage war over the Almighty Grimoire. The male friend of Viktor managed to gather Mages to fight the Megid Generals, eventually becoming the Magic Knight squad known as the Sword of Logos with him being the first supreme leader." Yuri continued his story, causing everyone to become surprise.
"So how you got involved?" Sayo asked, becoming interested.
"It was roughly around when Saikou and Kurayami came into existence. When the first two Holy Swords were forged, Viktor seeked me out, believing that I'm capable of wielding the two origin swords, whose Mana were too overwhelming for any of the current fighters to wield, thus I joined the fight, keeping the battle on even footing. Later on, using Kurayami as the bases, the Daishinji family forged Rekka, the first of the Holy Sword that would eventually be wielded by Magic Knights of the Sword of Logos. The first swordsman of flames, Kamen Rider Saber, was known as Touma Kamiyama, an enthusiastic writer with a strong desire of protecting the world." Yuri continued his story and the mention of the first Kamen Rider Saber caused Asta to perk up.
"Being the first Kamen Rider of the Sword of Logos, we were close allies, with me being a mentor when it comes to swordsmanship. And with the powers of Rekka reacting to his strong desire, he become a powerful swordsman, eventually befriending two dragons other than Brave Dragon which would then allowed him to transform into a form known as Emotional Dragon." Yuri said, causing Asta to widen his eyes.
"My predecessor managed to gain Emotional Dragon!? I guess that explains how Grandfather knows about "Emotional Dragon". So what's the story behind them then….." Asta thought, becoming curious.
"What happened to that female Mage?" Olivia asked, remembering how Yuri said there were six friends.
This cause a sad expression to appear on Yuri's face.
"She lost her life during the war." The "wielder" of Saikou responded, causing a sad expression to appear on the chief witch's own face.
"So how did you ended up in Avalon?" Ekrixi asked, deciding to move on with the story.
"When the battle calmed down to the point that it eventually ended up with both sides starting to search for the scattered "pages", I decided to merge with Saikou and then retreat to Avalon to prevent both of the origin swords to fall into the wrong hands. I also took the "King of Arthur" Wonder-Ride book with me due to the power that the Wonder-Ride book possess." Yuri responded, making Ekrixi nod his head slightly.
"And you spent the most of 2000 years within a separate dimension." Shan stated, causing the "wielder" of Saikou to nod his head slightly.
It was then that a thought appeared within Asta's head.
"How did you became friends with Tassel?" The dragon-formed boy asked, causing everyone else to become confuse.
"Who?" Shan asked, becoming confused.
"He's a book-keeper that me, Grandfather and aunt Sayo met a while back, with me first meeting him roughly a year ago…..he seemed to have a good knowledge on the Megid as well." Asta explained, saying the last part in a surprised tone of voice.
"…" Yuri became silent for a few seconds, gaining a slight unsure expression on his face before deciding to open his mouth.
However, before Yuri could actually say anything, his attention was drawn to the circular device, which is located beside him.
"The Mana with in Dragon's Ground has risen to to its peak." Yuri announced, causing everyone to become alert.
And there we have it, Asta and the others reaching the strong magic region known as Dragon's Ground which is dedicated to five powerful dragons known as the Primodial Dragons...who may have an additional role than just "cleaning" Asta of the Chaotic-Mana. Liegel seemed to gained the item that would grant him his power-up form whilst Sayo and Bahadur are stationed within Hage Village. So in this story, Touma Kamiyama, who is the same with his canon counterpart, is the first wielder of Rekka who managed to befriend Rune Bright Dragon and Rune Dark Dragon which then lead him to obtained Saber's Emotional Dragon form. Fun fact, the idea of the Primodial Dragons was given to me from a reader.
In Gotchard:
1) Everyone discovered that two villagers have been attacked, causing Ryo to act "detective" and put the blame on Starshine Hoshino...although got put away himself. Houtarou and Renge began to search the real culprit, eventually discovering a third victim before being followed by Ryo and Starshine Hoshino. Rin spotted Atropos and when she attempted to speak to her, she was confroted by the Kyubi Malgam. When Houtarou attempted to fight it, but failed, he noticed something different with the Kyubi Malgam. Renge realized that all the victims are pointing towards a direction, causing her and the others to head to the location, the shine that holds the fox statue, where her grandmother just so happened to be.
2) The four are then attacked by the Kyubi Malgam who trapped Renge, Rin and her grandmother within an illusion. Whilst Gotchard continued to fight the Kyubi Malgalm, Renge managed to break the illusion with the aid of (1)Mercurin, (2)Kinkirvina, (5)Fire-Mars, (6)Grand-Saturn and (8)Jupitta before giving them to Gotchard when used them to destroy the Fox Malgam along with a piece of the rock face, causing water to erupt from it. They realized that the Kyubi Malgam, which is in reality (9)Nine-Tail possessing a stone statue, was trying to save the village by creating a hot-spring.
So this is the first time that a Malgam is acting in a benevolent manner and helping the village, this is probably due to how the Malgam is created from a stone statue that is worshipped by the villagers.
It would seemed that Kamen Rider Legend will make his return, don't know if it's another spin-off or the actual show, but he will be equipped with a Super Form, Legendary Legend, which is basically his version of Decade's Complete Final form, where he uses the Legend Kamen Riser, in conjuction with the Legend-Driver, to transform into. Design-wise, I like it, the Super Form is more cleaner with how the Rider Chemy Cards are placed than Decade's version.
Please review and until next time.
Howard576:
1) The only thing I said about Damnatio is that he, plus the Golden Dawn Magic Knight, was taken to the infirmary. What happens next to him is in the hands of the Magic Knight captains, or more accurately Fuegoleon and Nozel, plus Damnatio will unlikely even survive from the brutaility that he recieved from Primitive Dragon/Saber along with the unknown magic attribute that Owen isn't able to understand.
2) Thanks for the suggestion for correcting spelling mistakes.
3) The actor for Starshine Hoshino is certainly a favorite when it comes to acting.
4) I'm surprised that they are still Chemies left to capture since Geryon he was keen on sacrificing the Chemies to open the Door of Darkness, so I would have imagined that he would have waited until he have all the unsealed Chemies in his possession. Although he did stated that he mainly needed the ten Level 10 Chemies for the actual ritual.
