"I basically had the week off," Mike tells AJ, shrugging. "No matches, and all I really accomplished was keeping Truth from tormenting basketball coaches."

AJ huffs out a laugh. "Well, as long as you've managed to avoid being locked in rooms, I guess the rest is good for you."

Mike rolls his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest as he settles back against his pillows, content to just stretch out and get comfortable. "No, I'll keep that to CM Punk," he says mockingly, relieved when she just laughs at him again.

"Well, ordinarily I'd let you talk to the kids, but they're asleep already."

Mike glances at the clock. "It's a little early, they alright?"

"Yeah, they just played pretty hard today and it wiped them out," AJ says. "They're alright. Maybe you can call again in the morning before your flight and they can get a few minutes with you before you board."

"I'd like that," he says. "I'll show them a little bit of the airport."

"George would love that," AJ says. "You think one day he'll decide he wants to be a pilot? He really seems enamored by it whenever we all go traveling."

Mike chuckles. "I wouldn't be surprised, but he's young. I went through like four different dream careers before I realized I wanted to be a wrestler."

"That's true," AJ says. "I guess we'll find out, huh? I can't believe how big the kids are getting. Before we're ready, they'll both be pre-teens."

"Ugh, I don't want to think about that," Mike sighs. "Why did you make me think about that? Now I won't be able to sleep peacefully tonight."

AJ laughs. "I'm so sorry, husband. I can stay on the phone and bore you until you doze off," she offers.

"No, I think I'll be alright," he says. "You might make it worse." She barks out a laugh at this and he smiles. "I'll see you in the morning."

"Alright," she says softly. "See you then."

He hangs up and reaches over to shut the light off, exhaling slowly as the tension from dealing with Truth most of the evening slowly leaves his muscles and he settles in. He hugs the pillows tightly and closes his eyes, breathing in deeply. Soon he'll be home and he'll have a break from Truth and the responsibility of being his partner. Soon he'll be with his wife and kids and everything will feel better.

He sighs and drifts off to sleep, a small smile on his face.
