RWBY: Am I Your Teacher or Mother?
Chapter 8: Family Adventures
Short chapter: Getting a bit exhausted writing dark Ruby stories so I figured I'd make a small family bonding wholesome chapter tonight with various scenarios where Ruby and her new family could go. Enjoy!
Public Pool
*SPLASH*
"Ruby! You got my hair wet!" a now soaked Weiss hollered, her hair down completely, as the teenage red-head flailed backside in the large pool, held up only by water wings, while smiling nonchalant regardless. How dare she jump in like that out of nowhere and douse her, let alone after she only just adjusted the water wings to her arms.
"You could have knocked them off when you jumped in Rubes! Be more careful!" Weiss scolded but Ruby was too caught up in excitement to pay attention, infuriating the heiress, whom Ruby still saw as Yang, more.
"Come on in Yang!" Ruby demanded as she took a toy Beowulf plushy and filled it with more water she soon shot at Weiss's face, reddening it more with rage at her carefree behavior.
"Pro-Mom! Would you control your brat!" Weiss stuttered before yelling towards Goodwitch, who just laid on a white chair while sunbathing. Her firm figure caught the eyes of some men nearby, drawing them away from Ruby whom they were originally exasperated by her strange behavior despite her age, not aware of her condition. Her skin glowed with the sun, her smooth white coloring on her legs and stomach shining and almost distracting them from her firm chest covered only by a large purple bra. Goodwitch, however, just glared at them dangerously, letting them know she wasn't up for sale, shooing them away. She then fixed that glare on Weiss, making her shudder.
"Sweetie, don't yell in public." She warned, her tone calm yet dangerous, making Weiss nod sheepishly, making her chuckle.
"Now…lets go play with your sister. She's gonna get fussy if you make her wait." She demanded as she set down her shades and walked over to her calmly.
"Y-Yes mom." Weiss nervously said as the teacher and Ruby's step mother gripped her hand gently, drawing her with her near the pool.
"Ready Ruby?" Goodwitch asked her daughter, who was playing with her water wolf toy right now.
"Grrrr….huh? For what mama?" Ruby asked curiously, her head tilted in confusion.
"For some revenge!" Goodwitch hollered with a smile as she grabbed Weiss and jumped in next to Ruby with her, dowsing the red head in a torrent of water.
"Yay! Water Fight!" Ruby cheered as she began wildly splashing her "sister" and "mother", who began to retaliate, laughing as they felt excitement overtake them.
Playground
"More! More!" Ruby hollered in playful demand.
Goodwitch sighed as she complied, applying further force as she pushed Ruby on the swing set faster.
Weiss was sitting on the bench reading a book, yet couldn't relax as she kept hearing her partners cries of joy. She sighed as she rolled her eyes, a bit bloodshot from exhaustion.
"We've been here 2 hours already. She made me ran up and down that slide and jungle gym with her, how much more energy does she have?" Weiss thought exasperated. Turned out she wasn't the only one getting tired during their playground trip.
"Yang…my arms are getting sore. Think you could take over?" Goodwitch asked Weiss who shrugged.
"Fine but im not as well built as you so I can't keep up with her for long." Weiss sighed.
"Neither can I really." Goodwitch groaned as she used one hand to weakly push her daughter up high again to her squealing joy.
"WEEEEE!" Ruby cried.
Her yelling got on Weiss's nerves. She was exhausted and had a headache, so hearing it just made her want to send her flying with her,
"*GASP* I just got a sweet idea." Weiss mumbled with a devious grin.
Goodwitch raised an eyebrow, not sure if she should like that look on the heiress's face. Weiss soon brought goodwitch to her level to whisper in her ear, drawing a surprised look on the teachers face.
"Miss schnee! She could get hurt!" Goodwitch whispered in admonishment.
"That's what mama's around to make sure doesn't happen. Want her to quite down yet or what?" Weiss asked coyly. A second squeal from the high-pitched Ruby answered that easily for the sore professor.
"Do it." She said quickly.
Weiss took out her saber when Ruby wasn't looking, mindful that Yang used a gauntlet instead and didn't want the ruse to be revealed. Before Ruby could look back as she ceased being pushed, she felt a surge of energy envelop around her behind as a glyph was formed, one black that drew her backwards slowly before propelling her into the sky as high speed.
Ruby screamed with excitement, her mouth and tongue bombarded with immense wind pressure that thrilled her, despite the danger she was in.
"Now mom!" Weiss hollered, causing Goodwitch to reveal her riding crop which she pointed as Ruby. It glowed purple as it send a wave of aura induced energy that enveloped Ruby, pausing her ascension and freezing her in place.
"Time to play airplane sweetie." Goodwitch sang as she began to twirl her crop, causing Ruby to follow the motions and fly around, or rather have her gravity controlled by her stepmother, in fast propulsions.
"AWESOME! I'M A BIRDIE!" She yelled as she flapped her arms like wings.
This went on for another 15 minutes before Ruby finally began to grow exhausted as well, her arms and head going limp as sleep overtook her.
"Finally. Lets go home Wei-" Goodwitch sighed as she flew her daughter into her arms gently, before looking on in surprise as Weiss was laying on her back, sleep overtaking her as well.
Goodwitch just laughed as she used her crop to lift Weiss as well as she carried the two girls to the car, ready to go home after such an exhilarating day at the park.
Dinner and dessert.
Goodwitch had taken Ruby to a diner in Vale. It was a family restaurant Goodwitch seldom tried. Despite the good food and reviews she heard about and the stellar service, the family atmosphere was off-putting normally. It reminded Goodwitch of her losses, not to mention the kids normally screaming or making a mess in public. And right now, she was dealing with one her own.
"Ruby please. Do not. Play with. Your food." Goodwitch sternly said to her daughter as the latter was making her mash potatoes into a snowman with carrots as arms and peas as eyes.
"But momma, he's almost done." Ruby whined.
"Food is for eating sweetie, not playing like with toys. Now eat it or I'll take your toys away when we get home." Goodwitch warned.
"No fair!" Ruby pouted.
"Don't make me ground your but missy." Goodwitch warned one more time with a glare that made Ruby huff.
"Fine." Ruby sighed in defeat before getting a smirk across her face that didn't go unnoticed.
"Ruby…" Goodwitch said warily, not like where this was going. Her concerns proven true when Ruby smashed her face into her mash potato snow man, gobbling it up messily like a pig.
"Ruby Rose! Where are your manners!" Goodwitch admonished her as she quit cutting her steak and got up from her seat.
Ruby just grinned and laughed as she saw her mothers reactions.
"I did what mamma said didn't I. So now that dinners over, lets play!" Ruby snickered as she took some of the potatoes smothered on her face in a clump and flung it at her mother's face.
A chilling breeze took over the restaurant soon after.
"Big…mistake kiddo." Goodwitch said darkly, making Ruby gulp.
Later
"Oooooow." Ruby whined as she rubbed her red behind, kneeling on her bed back at home.
Goodwitch didn't normally spank kids, but Ruby's messy behavior at the diner tested her patience too much tonight.
Ruby sniffled as she felt the stinging worsen. "Man. Mamma's scary when she's a meanie." Ruby whined.
"Darn tooting kiddo. And don't you forget it." Goodwitch said sternly as she entered the bedroom, holding a carton of strawberry ice cream and bowls with spoons in them.
Ruby's eyes glowed as she saw this.
"Ice cream!?" She squealed with excitement.
"For me to eat kiddo, your still grounded remember." Goodwitch said sternly.
"But maaaaamaaaaa!" Ruby whined. Goodwitch just plopped a few scoops in a bowl and sat on her bed eating nonchalantly. She soon gripped Ruby's collar and hung her in the air as she put the cold container underneath her, setting her down as she winced before letting the cold sooth her aching butt.
"Feel better?" She asked with a smug grin making her daughter nod with a pleased smile.
"Yes mama." Ruby said.
"Sorry for hitting me with food?" She asked.
"But it was fun-" Ruby whined.
"Sorry?!" Goodwich sternly asked making Ruby shiver.
"S-Sorry mama!" She responded immediately with shock. Goodwitch patted her chest in triumph, winning against an unruly child was almost as sweat as the ice cream she ate.
"Good answer. Now eat up sweetie." Goodwitch said happily as she passed the remainder of her bowl to Ruby, who beamed as she got her reward at last, hastily plopping it into her mouth at high speeds, which proved a mistake when she clasped her head.
"OWIE!" She whined.
"Brain freeze kiddo, don't eat so fast next time." Goodwitch chuckled.
"So…more ice cream bowls!?" Ruby's eyes glowed at the prospect.
"Haven't you had enough food for one night?" Goodwitch asked exasperated.
"Nope!" Ruby denied as she sat up and opened the carton of ice cream she sat on, desperate for more sweets, but before Goodwitch could restrain her, not wanting her to have a stomach ache, she noticed Ruby pout, tears in her eyes.
"NOOOO! Mama the ice cream melted!" Ruby cried as she showed the container of melted pink cream.
"Well then, milkshakes sweetie?" Goodwitch asked, causing Ruby to sniffle but then rub her silver wet eyes dry at the prospect.
"Really! We can have that!" Ruby asked with joy.
"Yup, lets get some whip cream from the fridge, then bedtime got it?!." Goodwitch said firmly causing Ruby to burst with joy.
"YAY! THANKS MOMMY!" Ruby squealed.
"Enjoy it kiddo, it's the last dessert you get for the week remember?" Goodwitch said with a grin, relishing in seeing Ruby pout and deflate remembering her punishment. Mother had to be stern with misbehavior, but she was enjoying the hell out of her toying with Ruby right now.
"Being a mother can be fun that's for sure." Goodwitch smugly thought.
