I own nothing

Tywin was led to the throne room. He could feel everyone's eyes on him. He looked up at the throne. He saw Aegon. He could not believe he missed the Targaryen present to him as a Dayne. He looked so much like Rhaegar and a bit like his grandsire Aerys. Aerys had been his friend before he went mad. The Mountain stood by Tywin's side. He could hear Oberyn growl at the sight of the men. Tywin was backed by the rest of the Lannister army or at least a good three fourth of it. Tywin's eyes traveled to the men beside Aegon. He first caught sight of Ned Stark. He stood tall and stoically by Aegon's side. Beside Ned was a young man whom he did not recognize, but he looked eerily like Robert. He wore Baratheon colors, but he had Tywin's mother's nose. On the other side, he spied Princess Myrcella dressed in Lannister's red and gold gown. She had her hand on Meraxes. Meraxes took up a protective stand in front of Myrcella. It was almost like Meraxes saw Mrycella as her cub. Beside Myrcella was Tyrion. He had the Hand of King pinned on his doublet.

"You stand before King Aegon of House Targaryen sixth of his name…" Tyrion started.

"I am very well aware of whom I am standing front son," Tywin cut Tyrion off with a growl as Tywin looked at Tyrion. Aegon looked over to his Hand. The room fell into eerie silence. Aegon looked back to Tywin when a gasp was heard. Tywin had dropped to his knee before him. The rest of Lannister's army followed suit, including the Mountain. "My King your grace, I am here at the request of her grace the Queen your wife. I know we have had our differences in the past. I only wish to serve you as you and my granddaughter are the rightful rulers of the Seven Kingdoms. King Robert wished that his daughter Princess Joanna, now Queen Joanna, would inherit everything he owned. I have that proof in his own hand. My granddaughter has always marched to the beat of her own drum. I am glad she found a co-monarch worthy of her. You have the making of my good friend King Aerys before he went insane and your father. You will be a great king. All I can do is plead for your forgiveness for the crimes I have committed to your family." Tywin told him with his head bowed.

Aegon caught Oberyn's eyes. He had his hand on his sword. There was hatred in his eyes. His mind went to Joanna. He knew instantly that he could not kill Tywin just like he could not kill Robert. It would hurt Joanna. Seven Hells, it may even cause her to lose the child that rests in her womb. He rose from his throne. He came down the steps; the Kingsguards parted as he walked past him. He came over to Tywin. He stood before him. Tywin looked up at Aegon His green eyes with flecks of gold met Aegon's amethyst eyes. Aegon motioned for Tywin to stand. Tywin did so.

"Walk with me," Aegon ordered.

Aegon and Tywin left the great hall. The room descended into chaos. Tyrion looked to Ned. He was the only one who looked shocked at Tywin stating that Robert wished for Joanna to inherit it all.

"Did you know," Tyrion asked.

"Robert asked me before I knew the truth. That Joffrey, Tommen, and Myrcella were not his," Ned said.

"I am Robert's Lord Stark. I look like Lady Argella, wife of Orys Baratheon with Lannister coloring. If I remember correctly, it is not shocking if Robert could pass on Targaryen's coloring because his grandmother was Princess Rhaelle. Maybe mother coloring is stronger than the Targaryen coloring," Myrcella said as she moved toward Teroa with Meraxes at her side.

"Forgive me Princess I did not know," Ned said bowing to Mrycella as she left the stage. He looked back to Tyrion. Tyrion gave him a look. "King Robert had a document written out that declared that Joanna was to be his sole heir. It bore his seal and all that was left to do was for him to sign it. I told him not to make a rash decision but to think about it. When I left him, it was not signed. My only thoughts are that Robert signed leaving it out on the desk. And one of many Lannister loyal servants sent it to Tywin," Ned told him.

"Then Joanna is the rightful queen whether Joffrey and Tommen are bastards or not," Tyrion said.

Alerie Hightower-Tyrell stormed into Mace's office. Her white-blonde hair flowed behind her. Her Hightower green eyes glared at him. She was dressed in a dark green and golden gown. She had a seven-pointed star necklace around her neck. Mace looked up at her reading letter from Loras.

"Have you lost your ever-loving mind," Alerie yelled.

"Alerie my love what's wrong? Margaery is set to become the Queen of Seven Kingdoms like she always wanted," Mace argued.

"Margaery will never be queen. First, you let her marry Lord Renly with the crown's permission only on the word of his lover our son. If that is not enough, now you want to present her to the usurper boy who may very well be a bastard of incest," Alerie argued.

"He is the king he is the eldest son of Robert and Cersei," Mace argued.

"No, he not. Why do you think Septon Allus reported, to my father, that Ned Stark was taken prisoner? Or the death of Jon Arryn. What if both learned the truth? Joanna is Robert's daughter, there is no doubt about that. Stannis reported to all the high lords of the Seven Kingdoms. And called your eldest and second eldest sons to Dragonstone. Do you think he did so without her permission?" Alerie raged as she placed her hands on the desk.

"Daughters don't come before sons," Mace argued.

"And what if there are no other legitimate children," Alerie questioned.

"Your ancestors want that throne too, don't put this on me. Margaery stands a real chance. The Hightower blood will sit the Iron Throne," Mace argued.

"Aegon the Second was legitimate and the eldest son of King Viserys second wife. And he had a dragon, and his brother had the largest dragon. Do you have dragons? Septon Barre wrote of the birth of seventeen dragons that grow every day to my father. Seven Hells even Willas reports the same. He wrote that Joanna married Aegon VI Targaryen, son of Elia Martell and Rhaegar. Not to mention that Joffrey is already married. The High Septon performed the ceremony in the Great Sept of Baelor. My cousin Septa Melara has reported that the marriage has been consummated. He married his cousin, Lady Janei Lannister, now Queen Janei Lannister. Let's say for a second, that something tragic happens to Janei and Margaery marries Joffrey. Who is going to stop Aegon and Joanna when they come with their fully grown seventeen dragons? Not to mention that Septon Allus has not mentioned Lord Stark or his daughters. But only the fact that The North marches south. Willas reports that Ned Stark is safe and well on Dragonstone. Serving as Master of Laws to Joanna and Aegon. They have the North. Willas has begun courting Lady Jeyne Westerling, who was presented to the then Princess Joanna at Riverrun. She reported to him that Tullys were eating out of Joanna's hands. She heard them even talking about having crowns made for Aegon and Joanna. So, she has the Riverlands. The Stormlands were divided between Renly and Joanna. With Renly's death, they have flocked to Joanna. The new Prince of Storms End is Joanna's twin brother Gendry Baratheon. So, they had Stormlands. Jenye has reported that half of Westerlands' army joined Joanna Aegon before they ever reached Dragonstone. You remember surely Lord Tywin with his granddaughter when they visited?" Alerie argued.

"I don't see what has to do with anything?" Mace argued.

"Even you cannot be that dense," Olenna commented coming into his office.

Aliere and Mace both turned to look as she entered his office. Olenna took the seat across from Mace. He looked slightly down.

"Mother, not you too," Mace commented.

"Tywin will do anything for Joanna. She could tell him to burn Casterly Rock and he would do it," Olenna stated.

"So, she will have most of the Westerlands. Anyone who does not side with Tywin their liege lord will face the seven hells. Then through Joanna's husband, they get Dorne," Alerie continued.

"There is the Crownlands and the Vale," Mace argued seeing where this was going.

"Most of the lords of the Crownlands have pledged their support to Joanna and Aegon. Willas wrote this to one. You would know this if read a single one of his letters," Aliere growled.

"And if Tywin is on their side and Joanna is more like Tywin than I care to admit. The Vale will not stay undeclared for long," Olenna commented.

"Mother, Margaery wants to be the Queen and has a real chance," Mace tried reasoning with his mother.

"And I want to be younger body, we don't always get what we want," Olenna stated. Mace shook his head. Alerie looked at Olenna. She handed her Willas' latest letter. It had Joanna and Aegon return in the letter. Olenna took the letter. She read the letter. Her eyes went wide. She looked back to Aliere and then back to her son. Her son was an idiot. "Seventeen dragons. Aegon and Joanna have both ridden one. Seven hells, you remember in your lessons what happened to House Gardner and how we came into power in the Reach," Olenna asked.

"Yes. Of course, Mother what does have to do with anything?" Mace asked confused.

"What happens when House Targaryen retakes the throne and your daughter and younger son and you side with their enemy? Willas may not be the smartest man with his jousting accident. But even he had the sense to bend the knee when he realized he was committing against a Targaryen for Joanna's hand. You have good as doomed our house. I pray that Joanna and Aegon forgive Willas for his idiotic power-hungry father," Olenna stated.

Aegon and Tywin made their way into the Painted Table chamber. Aegon stood at one head of the table. Tywin stood at the other. Kingsguards were standing at the door. Aegon motioned for the door to be closed. They stared at each other in silence for a long time.

"Tell me, do regret the murder of my mother and sister?" Aegon asked.

"Your Mother yes, I never ordered her murder. I am surprised that Joanna never told you that. We were at war. I knew that Robert would never kill your sister or you. So, I needed to secure his throne. The only way to do that was to have you both killed. Your mother's murder was never my intention. But also, never told the Mountain to spare her either. She was already betrayed by her husband. But I do regret it no. Not really, I cannot because without your sister and your mother's death and death of; I'm guessing a bastard servant child from Aerys II. Because without those deaths my granddaughter would never exist. I hate the price of war. But the loss of innocent life is so often the cost of war," Tywin admitted.

Aegon looked at Tywin. He could tell that he was telling him the truth. He took a deep breath realizing that Tywin was right. If Tywin never secured the throne, Cersei would never have married Robert. Then Joanna would never be. He walked around the table until he came to Casterly Rock. Their eyes met.

"I want one of your children to inherit Casterly Rock after me," Tywin told Aegon.

"And if me and Joanna only have daughters?" Aegon questioned knowing that the Lannister normally followed the Andal way that males take precedence.

"Then a lioness will inherit the rock. They will be just as much a lioness as a dragoness," stated.

"What of Tyrion," Aegon questioned.

"Tyrion and I never saw eye to eye. Joanna is more my daughter than Tyrion, Jaime or Cersei could ever be. Give him a seat of his own; he is already your hand. Jaime, I hear cannot inherit anything. I will never give Cersei the Rock after the mess she made. She has no clue what true power and work are," Tywin answered him.

"I will talk with Joanna about that," Aegon told him.

Tywin nodded his head in response. Aegon moved closer to him. Tywin regarded him for a time.

"You and Joanna are the only ones here with any smarts. You both worked to make your claims stronger. Quickly realizing that you have better claim united than apart. Word of advice, cement it. Once a child of your union is born no one could despite your claim," Tywin told him.

"A child is already in her womb," Aegon informed him. Tywin nodded and muttered good. Aegon came to stand next to Tywin. Tywin looked at him with a slightly bowed head. "I will name you Master of War. Your duties will be to upkeep our armies of Seven Kingdoms, The Gold Cloaks, and The Night's Watch. You will also be the commander of Targaryen forces. You will help us win this war and wars to come. In agreement that I pardon you of your crimes against my family. And The Mountain the man that raped and murdered my mother and my sister will be executed at dawn tomorrow. His head will be sent to Dorne. He will be forever seen as a traitor," Aegon told him.

"Done, now where is my granddaughter?" Tywin asked.

Joanna sat by the fire. She was sewing gems on the Baratheon cloak for Sansa and Gendry's marriage ceremony. She was alone in her and Aegon's chambers. Ser Edric and Jaime stood guarding the door. Maester Cressan had come and left making sure the baby or babies that rested in her belly were all right. By her was a cup of ginger tea to settle her stomach and a plate of apples with other fruits and soft cheeses. Her eyes went to the dragon eggs that were in the fire. She placed the cloak aside. She got up walking to the balcony. She watched the dragons circle and danced in the sky. She heard Vhagar call. Her mind was on how to win this war. She knew in the back of her mind she would have to deal with her grandsire. Even if Aegon let him live, she knew she had to be sure that he would not betray her or Aegon. She knew he would do anything for her. But would that loyalty extend to her husband? Somewhere in her mind, she knew this war with her bastard half-brother would not be her last war. A knock sounded on the door. Followed by Aegon entering the room. He looked around the room, finding her with her back to the door. Tywin entered the room behind Aegon. He watched as Aegon walked over embracing Joanna from behind. He kissed her neck before resting his chin on her shoulder. His arms around her. His hands almost cradled her belly. It was almost like watching himself with Joanna. He knew in that instant that Aegon and Joanna were truly in love with each other.

"Your Grandsire wants to see you" Aegon whispered.

"How did the trail go?" Joanna asked as they turned to greet Tywin.

"Melisandre has been found guilty and will die by dragon fire at dawn. And your uncle confessed everything. I will behead him tomorrow at dawn," Aegon told her gently.

"We will burn his body afterward hopefully Balerion will let him into his halls after all he has repented," Joanna said.

Tywin bowed to her as Aegon and Joanna came closer. Joanna and Tywin's eyes met again. There were tears in Joanna's eyes seeing her grandsire bowing to her. Aegon kissed her cheek.
"My Queen," Tywin said as he addressed Joanna for the first time since her father's death.

"You have much to discuss. I will leave you. I will arrange for a feast for all in the great hall to celebrate our New Master of War. And I have the executions to plan; multiple ones," Aegon said meeting Joanna's eyes.
Joanna nodded, catching his meaning. Her eyes went wide as she looked at Tywin that he would agree to that. Aegon left the room before a single word was spoken between Joanna and Tywin. As the door shut, she motioned for him to sit by the fire with her.

"You came," Joanna said.

"I would never not come my dark hair lioness," Tywin answered. Joanna nodded. Her eyes went to the dragon eggs in the fire. Tywin pulled out Robert's royal edict. She took it from him. She read it her eyes went even wider. She put it aside. "You have done well for yourself. I will help you and Aegon win this war now," Tywin told her.

"I learned from the best. On our way back to the Wall I stopped at every Lord in the North on our way to Winterfell. I had them eating out of the palm of my hand. They love me. The fact I was one of the first royals to travel that far north since the Dance of the Dragons. The fact that I listened to what they needed. The Wall is in a sorry state, Grandsire. They are our last defense," Joanna told him.

"Don't tell me you started to believe those stories of white walkers and other Northern fairy tales," Tywin growled.

"Those fairy tales spoke of magic. The same magic that had not been seen in this world since the reign of Viserys I. Dragons. If they returned who to say the same magic also does not exist," Joanna said. Tywin went to say something to her. But she just looked at him. She took the dragon eggs out of the fire. He reached to stop her. His hand could feel the heat radiating off the dragon's egg. She placed the eggs back into their box. She showed her unharmed hands. "Come there is someone you should meet," Joanna said.

Tywin eyes were wide as he followed out of the room. Ser Edric fell into step with her. Jaime had left when Aegon left. They reached the beach. He looked up at the circling dragons overhead.

"Do want to meet them?" Joanna asked.

"I have been in contact with Maester Creylen. I told him to begin constructing Dragon Pit," Tywin told her.

"Why would you need a dragon pit at Casterly Rock?" Joanna asked.

"For when you visit and when your child inherits the rock," Tywin answered.

"My child inherits Casterly Rock. You have an heir in Tyrion why would my and Aegon's son or daughter get the Rock," Joanna questioned.

"As I told your husband, His Grace the King. You are more of my child than Tyrion ever will be," Tywin told him. Joanna looked at him in shock. Tywin moved closer to her. Joanna shook her head. She went to speak but Tywin took her hand and stopped her. "I know. But like your father has the right to choose his heir, I have the same right. I would name you but since you are the Queen and have too much responsibility, I will name one of your sons or daughters my heir. "I give you and his grace the King the right to choose which one of them," Tywin finished.

Joanna's eyes went to the dragons in the sky. Tywin followed suit. She smiled as they danced in the sky. She started to point out the dragons in the sky.

"That is Aegarax and Nightshade. That is Syrax dancing with Caraxes. That Vermithor and that Silverwing. That Tyraxes, Vermax, and Gaelithox. That is Greyghost and Meleys. That is Arrax and Tessarion. That is Stormfyre and Moondancer. Finally, that is Stormsroar and Vhagar," Joanna told him as she pointed them out.

Vhagar as she said her name. She landed in front of Joanna and Aegon. She bumps her large head on Joanna's middle. Joanna smiled petting her large head. Tywin looked at the dragon in awe.

"I know you are completely loyal to me. I want you to know something. If I ever suspect you betraying me or mine. I will not hesitate to use them family or not," Joanna said coldly.

Tywin looked at her for a moment. He had a grin across his face. He did not realize until that moment how much Joanna truly liked him. He pulled her into a tight hug.

"I would expect nothing less," Tywin said with a smile.
