Skye got home from school on Wednesday and went straight to her room to change out of her school uniform and into comfortable clothes. There was a knock on the door as she was putting her hair up into a tight bun on the top of her head.

"Yes?" she said.

Steve popped his head in. "Dr. Strange is here, come join us."

"Okay," Skye said as she left her room and went with him to the office, where Strange was talking to Tony.

Dr. Strange saw her come into the room and smiled slightly.

"You must be Skyler," Strange said.

"Just Skye please, and it's nice to meet you, Sir," she said putting her hand out to shake his.

Dr. Strange shook her hand. "Okay, Skye. Nice to meet you, too."

"So, are we going to talk about it, or should we just go to the training area so I can show you what I can do?" Skye asked.

Tony and Dr. Strange smirked, and Steve smiled shaking his head.

"What? I know that's at least part of why he is here," Skye said.

"You'll learn pretty quickly she is pretty straightforward," Tony said, still smirking.

"Well, that just means she gets things done," Strange said. "And yes, let's go and see what you can do."

Steve, Dr. Strange, and Skye left the office and went to the training room.

"Just know I don't have complete control over them yet," Skye said.

Strange nodded. "I have been told, yes. Just let me see what you can do."

Skye tapped into her emotions and managed to cause the temperature in the room to drop to freezing.

"Control of the temperature, anything else you can show me?" Strange asked.

Skye thought of something that made her angry and created a ball of fire in her hand.

"That's impressive," Strange said.

"It's all connected to her emotions and elements," Steve told Dr. Strange.

Strange nodded. "Have you figured out what emotion is connected to what element?"

"Skye, why don't you answer that?" Steve asked causing her to snap out of her head and put out the fireball in her hand.

"Sorry, I didn't hear the question," Skye said.

"What emotions are connected to what element?" Dr. Strange asked

"Fire is anger, water is fear, air is sadness, and earth is joy," Skye said.

"You have been able to tap into each of them?" Strange asked.

"Yes, some more than others," Skye said. "I'm supposed to be able to tap into other people's emotions too, but I haven't been able to do that yet."

Dr. Strange nodded.

"She can feel what other people are feeling though," Steve said.

"Yeah, and I hate it," Skye said.

"That probably is pretty difficult," Dr. Strange said.

"So, have you ever seen anything like this before?" Skye asked.

Strange nodded. "I knew I had when your dad told me what it's called. You are an empath, and you use that to manipulate the elements with your own and, in time, other's emotions."

"You've seen it in other universes?" Skye asked.

"Yes," Strange said. "I've met your variant in another universe."

"Seriously?" she looked up at her dad. "Did you know?"

Steve nodded. "He mentioned he had, yes."

"And she had full control over it?" Skye asked.

"Yes, but she started using them much younger in this other universe," Stange said.

"Oh?" Skye asked.

Strange looked at Steve. "It's okay I tell her?"

Steve nodded. "Yes."

"In this other universe, your variant was never in foster care. Steve and Victoria stayed together, and your variant had learned about her abilities from a very young age," Strange said.

Skye's eyes went wide. "Seriously?"

"Yes," Strange said.

"Why didn't that happen in this universe then?" Skye asked.

"There are countless alternate realities in the multiverse. What happens in one can be vastly different than what happens in another," Strange said.

Skye nodded a little.

"I know it seems unfair to you, Skye. But you, this version of you, is who you are supposed to be in this universe," Steve said.

Skye nodded again. "What can you tell me about my abilities that I don't know?" Skye asked Dr. Strange.

"When you gain complete control of them, you are going to be almost untouchable," Dr. Strange said.

"That's not surprising, you are already incredibly strong," Steve said.

Skye smiled a little.

"You should keep a closer eye on her when she does," Strange said.

Steve let out a breath. "I'm going to need you to explain to me why when she isn't around."

Strange nodded.

"Anyway, I could meet this other me?" Skye asked

Strange shook his head. "Jumping multiverses is not something you can just do. It's dangerous."

"You do it," Skye said.

"I have, and it took me over a year to get back," Strange said.

"The answer is no Skye, accept it," Steve said.

"Okay," Skye said with a sigh.

"Skye go, get your homework done before dinner," Steve said, sending her away.

Skye went.

Steve looked at Strange. "Why do I need to keep a closer eye on her when she gets full control of her abilities?"

"Multiverse Skye, like most teens, finds any way around her parents, to do what she wants. She has used her abilities to do so, and she is the strongest super in that universe," Strange said.

Steve nodded. "How so?"

"I think, it's probably better I don't give you more than that. We do not know exactly how one multiverse affects another," Strange said. "Skye seems like a good kid, and is in the other universe, too."

Steve nodded. "Okay."

Soon dinner was had. and Strange was the main focus of the dinner conversation. After dinner, Skye and Wanda cleared up while everyone else headed to the living room to talk.

"Are you okay?" Wanda asked Skye.

"Yes," Skye said. "Why?"

"You seemed a little off at dinner," Wanda said.

Skye shook her head. "It's nothing."

Wanda nodded.

"And don't fucking try to get into my mind to try and figure it out," Skye said, hanging up a dish towel on the handle of the stove and starting to walk away.

"Hey! I understand that you are hurt by that, but you do not get to speak to me that way," Wanda said, sharply garnering attention from the living room.

Steve excused himself and went into the kitchen. "What's going on?"

"I don't trust her. That hasn't changed since she tried to go into my mind," Skye said.

"Okay, I don't expect you to, but were you disrespectful to her?" Steve asked.

"I don't think I need to respect someone who didn't even have the decency to respect my private thoughts," Skye said.

"Skyler, that has been dealt with. You can be angry and hurt, and I don't expect the trust is going to just come back. But you do not get to be disrespectful to her. She was trying to help you, not hurt you. Yes, she should have done it differently. But her motives were good," Steve said.

Skye let out a breath. "Fine. Sorry," Skye said to Wanda.

Wanda nodded. "It is forgiven."

"Can I go?" Skye asked softly.

Steve nodded.

Skye went to her room and curled on her bed.

Steve looked at Wanda. "Are you okay?"

"I am okay. I will try talking to her about this when she has had time to calm down. I will try to fix it," she said.

Steve nodded. "Okay."

Steve back to the living room and rejoined the conversation, and Wanda was close behind, sitting next to Vision.

Nat whispered to Yelena. "Did I miss something?"

Yelena whispered back, "Something happened between Wanda and Skye. I don't know what. Whatever it is, they are not training together anymore."

"How did I miss that?" Nat asked quietly.

"I do not think it has been talked about much," Yelena said, still whispering.

A little later when the living room had mostly cleared out, Skye went in to grab the blood glucose testing kit she had left in there. She smiled at Dr. Strange, who was the only other person in the room at the moment.

"You are a medical doctor, right?" Skye asked.

"Yes," Dr. Strange said.

"Can you explain how it makes sense that I have super serum in my blood, but I still have diabetes?" Skye asked.

"Has Doctor Banner not looked into that?" Strange asked.

"He has. He can't explain it," Skye said.

"DNA is more his area of expertise. My expertise was in neurology," Dr. Strange said. "My best guess is because it's only half your DNA that has super serum in it, you still deal with it."

Skye nodded. "Okay. Thanks."

Dr. Strange nodded.

Skye went to leave the room but stopped. "Can I ask you something about my variant?"

"You can ask, I don't want to share too much because we do not know how much each multiverse affects each," Dr. Strange said.

"Is my variant evil?" Skye asked.

Dr. Strange was slightly surprised by the question. "Why do you ask that?"

"How much do you know about my mother, her history?" Skye asked.

"Some," Dr. Strange said.

"She had ties to Hydra, through her uncle, and apparently, she and generations before didn't use the abilities for good. I just want to know if I should worry about my abilities coming from a bad source," Skye said.

"Abilities aren't evil or good on their own; it's how you use them. Yes, familial pressure can play a role in what side you choose. But ultimately, the decision is yours. You choose the path you take," Strange said.

Skye nodded.

"But to answer your question. No, your variant from that verse does not use her abilities for evil," Dr. Strange said.

"Okay, thank you," Skye said.

Wanda came back into the living room. "Skye, can we go talk somewhere?"

"I don't feel like talking to you right now," she said trying to keep from coming off as rude. She looked back at Dr. Strange. "Thank you for answering my questions." She got up and left the room.

Dr. Strange looked at Wanda. "You two having problems?"

Wanda let out a breath and nodded. "I did something I should not have, and she is not quick to forgive."

"Steve tells me she is very stubborn," Strange said.

Wanda nodded. "She is. Do she and I get along in this other verse?"

Dr. Strange shook his head. "I've already given too much information."

"That is a no," Wanda said, nodding slightly.

"It's not a yes or no. I'm not answering that because it doesn't matter. What matters is your friendship with her in this verse," Dr. Strange said.

Wanda nodded. "You're right."

The two continued to talk for a bit before the night came to an end.
