Chiro looked at Gibson, his eyebrows slightly slanting down.

Uncertainty resided on his face, it was as if he couldn't believe Gibson did all of this for him. The way he looked at him begged for approval, no matter how much it tried to be hidden.

Gibson knew Chiro wanted a better look at the stars above them without the team going up into space. It was merely an offhand comment, but it stuck in his mind. He figured he would take out the telescope, let Otto see if it needed any touch-ups, and set it up for Chiro. It wasn't getting used anyways, so this was a good opportunity to do so.

He nodded. "Go on. I set it up for you, after all, no need to look at me like that."

Chiro nodded before he looked through the eyepiece. A small smile crept up on his face. That uncertain look dissipated, and one of joy took its place. He took in the sight of the night sky above them.

It was like a painting viewed under a magnifying glass. Every individual thing he could see that made up the full picture, every little detail that were the stars, the moon, and a few planets. Every bit of color stood out against the dark, naturally created canvas. Stars that sparkled and shined like jewels perfectly yet sporadically placed where they were.

It was nothing short of breathtaking.

Gibson watched his face the whole time. His tail swayed across the surface of the Super Robot's body. A little smile crawled onto his own face. He saw how that smile Chiro had simply grew into a big, goofy grin. It was as if he had received one of the best gifts in the universe.

It couldn't have made Gibson any happier to see the boy like this.

Chiro pulled away and looked up. He couldn't believe every bit of that was above each and every single one of them. Sure, he'd seen it a million times, but not like this. Not even when they were out in space did he really look at everything around them. It wasn't like he could stop to appreciate it from up there anyways, considering everything they did.

The way his cerulean eyes shined from the view above. That color was simply overruled by what was up there, like overexposed photographs that people thought of instead of the black void that space actually was. Everything was reflected inside of his eyes, and Gibson couldn't help but stare at them.

It was like microscopic galaxies in his eyes.

After a few moments, Chiro looked at the blue simian beside him. He sat down beside him, keeping the telescope in his hands.

"It's beautiful," Chiro said.

Gibson chuckled. "Indeed it is. I'm glad you like it, Chiro."

Chiro's smile became soft and sweet before he looked down. A soft pink was dusted over his cheeks, bringing some color to an otherwise pale face. He couldn't believe what Gibson did for him.

"Why'd you do this for me, anyways? You didn't have to, ya know."

"Maybe not. I know we're not the closest, but I know you wanted to see them better, so I thought I would do this for you. You're my friend, after all, I don't see why I wouldn't do this for you." Gibson explained. "Besides, it wasn't getting used. What's the harm in cleaning it up and allowing it to be used like it should?"

The words filled Chiro with warmth and joy.

Yeah, they weren't that close like they were with the rest of the team, but things like this were what friends do. Something to make each other smile and feel happy. Nothing more was needed for a friend to do something for another.

No, nothing more was needed for family to do something for each other.

Whether it truly was fate that led Chiro to find the monkeys or not, it was the best thing that could've happened. Not just for Chiro, but for the team as well. They made each other's lives much better, even if they didn't admit it out loud.

Chiro set the telescope aside for the moment. He pulled Gibson into a hug.

"Thanks, Gibson. I appreciate it and I love this."

Gibson hugged back after an initial feeling of surprise. He used his tail to pull Chiro closer to him.

"It was nothing, Chiro. Nothing at all."

When Chiro pulled away, he kept looking through the telescope and gave it to Gibson at times so he could see too.
