Crap…I wasn't expecting to get a lot of faves and follow so fast after just two chapters of this garbage. Normally any other user would be happy, but I'm not. Seriously, I am really not, because truth be told, I don't like this story. So much so that I was going to delete it. But then I had a few PMs and positive reviews on this that made me extremely conflicted, so I decided to give it a chance and I found myself having a lot of fun with this chapter, enjoying the interactions between Naruto and the Titans. So the story stays for the moment. Lastly, thanks to those for following, favoriting, and sending kind PMs. And if you don't like it, I don't blame you, but thanks for reading anyway, I appreciate it.
Later that day…
The scene shifts to a new location known as Gotham City, a place that is wonderful by day but transforms into a nightmare by night. It is almost as though the city itself has two different identities.
Inside the tallest building, Wayne Enterprises, we are introduced to the billionaire owner, Bruce Wayne. At first, we only see his back as he sits, gazing out at the city through a large window. When he finally turns, we see a strikingly handsome man in his early to mid-30s, with raven hair and piercing blue eyes. He is impeccably dressed in what appears to be a highly expensive business suit.
Bruce is currently on the phone with his third sidekick, Robin of the Teen Titans, who is informing his mentor of recent events.
"And he says he's not from Japan?" Bruce inquires, his voice calm yet curious.
"Nope," Robin replies. "Hell, I don't even think he's human after Cyborg gave him a CT scan."
"Email it to me when you get the chance," Bruce instructs. "I'd like to know exactly who or what we're dealing with."
"My guess? A space ninja cat…" Robin's voice trails off, leaving an odd silence.
Bruce raises an eyebrow. "You're making that 'Don't be ridiculous' look, aren't you?"
"I'll be there tomorrow," Bruce says, ignoring the comment. "Keep a close eye and make sure he stays inside the tower."
"Shouldn't be an issue," Robin assures him. "Mysteries and depressing child soldier upbringing aside, he's actually a pretty nice dude."
"Maybe… but don't forget—"
"Expect the unexpected," Robin finishes, mimicking Bruce's tone.
"Gotcha."
Bruce holds back a smile as he hangs up the phone and turns to his desk, scrolling through news articles titled "Mysterious Portal Briefly Spotted in Cambodia." As he reads, he clicks on a tab with a similar story of one appearing in Coast City. Leaning back with his hands together under his chin, Bruce ponders the possible connection between Naruto and the random portals in the news, though he isn't quite certain.
Meanwhile, back at the tower, the Titans have finished dinner and after being told a half of Naruto's backstory during the war, they have decided to run more tests on the ninja bin the training field out back. Naruto happily complied, curious to see what more the Titans are capable of, not to mention, it'll help burn the high calories from the pizza. Before the battle begins, Cyborg presents Naruto with a new left arm. The cybernetic arm resembles a slimmer version of Cyborg's arms, only it's colors consist of blue, silver, and black, whereas Cyborg's colors are just silver.
"This is awesome!" Naruto exclaims, his excitement palpable. "I can even feel my chakra flowing through it."
As Naruto plays around with his new arm like a child with a Christmas present, Cyborg looks on proudly. "Cool, whatever that means… Looks like a perfect fit too."
"What's this thing made of." Naruto asks while wiggling his new fingers, in which Cyborg proudly explains in response.
"It's made from a very rare metal called 'Promethium', which is made of titanium and vanadium with water proof shielding, AND a custom made battery with a wattage of 5000!"
"What?" The clueless ninja asked, deadpan, making Cyborg's proud posture drop in an instant, but the titan can understand, knowing Naruto's from another world an all, so odds are he wouldn't be familiar with hardly any of his techno-babble. As a result, Cyborg cuts Naruto some slack for it, saying-
"Simply put; it's made from a rare metal and powered by a special battery that'll last ya decades."
"Cool." Naruto says, as he starts punching the air.
Cyborg then shifts into a battle stance, smirking. "Wanna test it out?"
"Sure!" Naruto responds with a smirk of his own. He removes his t-shirt, now wearing a tank top, and shifts into a fighting stance.
As the two prepare to fight, Kid Flash and Starfire watch from the sidelines. Naruto makes the first move, running at Cyborg and striking with a flying knee. Cyborg counters by catching the knee and tossing Naruto aside, but the ninja quickly recovers.
Cyborg lunges into the air, aiming to dive his fist down on Naruto, but the ninja dodges. The two walk toward each other, and Cyborg makes a feint, causing Naruto to flinch. Cyborg chuckles at his reaction.
The combatants engage in a straight-up boxing match, blocking and evading each punch. Naruto is amazed at how fast Cyborg is despite his bulky appearance. Cyborg shoots a heavy punch down on Naruto, but he blocks it with his cybernetic forearm and crosses his fingers.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto shouts, summoning four clones that surround Cyborg. The Titans are caught off guard as Cyborg receives an uppercut followed by multiple kicks from each clone, sending him midair.
"NA!" KICK!
"RU!" KICK!
"TO!" KICK!
POW!
"Uzumaki Barrage!" Naruto yells, sending Cyborg crashing to the ground with a mighty axe-kick to the cranium.
With Cyborg down for the count, Naruto is victorious, but…
ZOOM!
Kid Flash joins in, catching each clone off guard and making them puff away with his fast attacks. He even manages to shoulder-charge Naruto to the ground.
"My turn!" Kid Flash declares smugly.
Naruto attempts to attack Kid Flash multiple times, but his inhuman speed makes it futile. Despite this, Kid Flash is impressed by Naruto's speed, noting that he moves faster than a regular human.
Naruto changes tactics, summoning over 50 clones. "Neat trick… got any more?" Kid Flash asks.
"Plenty!" the clones respond in unison.
The clones work together, grabbing their partners by the arm and tossing them toward Kid Flash with fully charged Rasengans. Kid Flash effortlessly avoids each clone, escaping explosion after explosion.
Starfire floats midair, laying on her front with her hands on her cheeks and her feet kicking the air. She is slowly starting to get bored.
"It seems like this is the full extent of his power," she thinks to herself. "All brute force with nothing to counter Bart's speed. Can't really say I blame him; it's an annoying power to deal with."
Starfire notices one Naruto sitting cross-legged from afar while Kid Flash finishes off the rest of the clones by spinning around like a miniature tornado. As the dust clears, Kid Flash gets a little dizzy but quickly shakes it off.
"And then there was one," Kid Flash says smugly, narrowing his eyes at the meditating Naruto.
"Is that how you surrender in your village?" Kid Flash taunts.
Naruto's eyes open, now yellow with pupils shaped like a toad's. He stands up.
FWOOM!
With near-blinding speed, Naruto appears in front of Kid Flash, preparing to strike him with a brutal right. From Kid Flash's point of view, he sees it coming slow enough to narrowly dodge. He smiles, but it soon drops when an unseen force strikes him in the cheek, sending him rolling to the ground.
"Nope… more like a power boost," Naruto explains.
Kid Flash is left speechless, his eyes and mouth wide open. After a moment, he attempts to stand but drops back down.
With yet another Titan down, Naruto looks at Starfire and confidently signals her to come forth. Starfire shrugs and complies. She wasn't planning to fight the ninja, but after hearing about the events of the Fourth Great Shinobi War, she is curious to see how strong Naruto truly is.
Though brimming with confidence, Naruto is unprepared for Starfire's wrath. She flies toward him like a jet, grabs him by the face, and flings him across the lake, skipping him like a rock. Starfire then bombards Naruto with a barrage of starbolts, ending with a large starbolt the size of a minivan. The impact briefly leaves a huge hole in the lake, almost revealing the ground underneath. It begins to rain lake water, which turns to steam as it touches Starfire's fiery hair and steaming skin.
Robin steps outside, ready to train. He spits out the water he was drinking when he sees the two unconscious bodies of his teammates on the ground.
"W-What the hell happened!?" Robin exclaims frantically.
Raven appears, floating in midair near Robin with her arms crossed, watching the fight from afar.
"Kori found a worthy opponent… or so I think," Raven says nonchalantly.
"Huh?" Robin responds, confused.
Back near the lake, the serious Starfire has her eyes focused on the water, waiting for Naruto to make his next move.
"If you intend to hold back on me as you did with your best friend, then you're making a fatal error in judgment!" Starfire's voice echoed through the air, her eyes blazing with determination.
"Face me as though your life depends on it and show me the warrior who fought an entire army for three days straight with no rest!" she shouted, her tone fierce and commanding.
Still receiving no response, Starfire softened her approach, her voice becoming calm and gentle. "Please."
SPLASH!
Suddenly, over 275 clones shot up from the water, each preparing a different Rasengan. Starfire began to duck, dodge, and shoot at each clone coming her way. She cleared them out with a large burst of green energy, causing rippling winds and tidal waves to form.
Robin was blown away by the winds, but Raven used her magic to levitate him over to her.
"This is getting crazy," Robin exclaimed. "We gotta call this off before they destroy the tower AND the city!"
"Not yet," Raven replied. "It may not look like it, but Kori's holding back as well. At the same time, she's testing out just how powerful this guy truly is."
"Okay… but what about Naruto?" Robin asked, concern evident in his voice. "He's not really trying to go all out, is he?"
Raven paused for a moment before answering. "YES and NO… I can actually get a better read on him than I did before. Basically, he's just showing off his powers, but not using them in full force." The hooded titan then goes on to say- "If he did, the island and city would've been destroyed seconds ago."
Suddenly, Raven winced, placing her hand on her head. "Ah!"
"Raven?" Robin's voice was filled with worry.
"I'm okay, I'm okay… But on second thought, I think now's a good time to stop."
After clearing the air of clones, Starfire was in for yet another surprise. Two giant glowing yellow arms sprouted from the lake and clapped their hands together with Starfire in the middle, as though she were a small fly!
Starfire managed to stop the hands from causing any damage, holding them back with sheer strength.
KAPOW!
Just as Starfire forced the hands away, a third hand sprang up, punching her, followed by several more giant glowing fists that punched her higher and higher. The fight was now taken higher above, nearly touching the clouds as Starfire soon recovered.
"Hmph, I almost felt that," Starfire said nonchalantly.
"Wow, you weren't joking, you're a lot tougher than you look!" Naruto's voice came from off-screen.
Starfire smirked as she turned around and saw Naruto floating a few feet away from her with his arms crossed. His body was now glowing fiery orange, like a walking lava lamp. Starfire sized the ninja up, amazed by his transformation. It was as though she was staring at a miniature sun.
"So this is the form you were hiding," Starfire said, her voice filled with curiosity. "I was curious to see it in person, just to see if your epic story was an exaggeration or not."
"Heh, well I'll admit, I did exaggerate a little bit…" Naruto replied wryly. "But ya' could've just asked, ya' know."
Starfire nodded. "I COULD have… but it's much funner this way."
"Funner?" Naruto asked, confused. "Is that even a word?"
Starfire shrugged with an "I don't know" sound. "This seems high enough not to cause any further damage around us."
Her eyes glowed bright green. "Shall we continue?"
Naruto nodded.
At the speed of light, the alien and the ninja clashed their forearms together, causing a huge shockwave that blew some of the clouds around them away.
Meanwhile, Raven was on her way to break up the fight but found it quite difficult when she saw the two fighting from afar, with green and orange light leaving trails and explosions throughout the sky.
"Jeez, it's turning into a straight-up anime battle," Raven muttered.
Not wanting to get any closer at the risk of getting caught in the crossfire, Raven closed her eyes and concentrated on reaching Starfire through her telepathy.
Raven: Kori, I think you've seen it all now. Let's get to a stopping point.
Starfire: Just a little longer. It's been quite some time since I enjoyed a battle like this.
Raven: Not quite sure what makes it so fun, when you and I could kill him easily if we wanted to.
Starfire: Don't ruin it, it's the character that counts!
Raven wasn't quite sure what Starfire meant by that but decided to go with it. Riiight, either way, you need—
Suddenly, Naruto yelled out in pain, his body shaking as if being electrocuted.
Inside Naruto's mind, Kurama shared his pain, falling to the water-filled floor. "Naruto! Turn off the link mode, NOW!"
Immediately doing as the fox said, Naruto shifted back to his regular appearance and passed out, free-falling from the sky. Both Raven and Starfire were alarmed.
"Naruto!" Starfire shouted.
