"Damn it! Nothing's responding. The fucker must've froze everything I had upstairs. So much for my backup turrets!"

Frustrated, Ryuichi smashed his fist on the chair arm. The computer screen was filled with static. Cameras, speakers, security machines, everything was destroyed by the shockwave. They were blind, and with nothing left to stop the stranger, he/she was coming down no matter what.

[What's the big deal? We were going to fight either way.]

"Yeah! That's why me and the others are here! To beat some ass!"

Ryuichi just sighed at Descendant and Linchu's optimism.

"My plan was to soften up that vandalizing asshole, maybe even injure in some way. Then we'd be on easy street of murdering it dead. But none of that happened, and that asshole just took out the entire security system upstairs! Not to mention I have to fix all that damage!"

"...So that's why you're upset?"

"Yeah. VERY."

Linchu swallowed dry saliva as Ryuichi was eminating murderous intent. He knew better and stayed a good three steps away from him.

Since it was confirmed the fight was coming to them, Ryucihi got busy working on the computer.

Suddenly multiple holes opened up from the cavern ground and walls. Each wide enough for an adult human to enter, a turret with three barrels erupted one by one from the holes. It was bigger than the ones that was destroyed, and this time a blue glowing battery was equipped on the backside of the turrets.

[Ah, good ol plasma turrets. Takes me back to boot camp, when you have to dodge a line of those things for agility training. Good times.]

"Sounds stupid if you ask me."

"What did you say, Ryuichi?"

"Nothing."

Ryuichi shook his head trying to quickly forget the bizzare standard of Cray. While he was setting up the turrets, Ryuichi took a glance at Kuran to ask her about their plans for preparation.

"How're you doing, Kuran?"

"H, Huh? W, What?"

Kuran answered with a small stutter. It was short but Ryuichi quickly noticed the change of tone from her. A gut feeling came to Ryuichi that this was something he shouldn't pass by. Ryuichi took a step closer to her, and Kuran immediately averted her eyes away from him. Kuran flinched, as even she knew she got caught.

Ryuichi wasn't about to take any chances. He got out of his chair and asked her directly.

"You okay? What is it? It's not like you having cold feet."

"It's just... we're going to fight against a pioneer. A living human. This is different when we only had to fight rogue units."

"You're afraid we might end up killing the guy."

With fear in her eyes, Kuran nodded hesitantly. A simple nod that took a good three seconds, as if she regretted for even acknowledging it.

"The last time I met another pioneer besides Itou san was you Ryuichi san. And we nearly killed each other when we first met. If either of us haven't been spent, one of us wouldn't be standing here right now. And to think we're about to do the same thing to someone else is..."

Ryuichi let out a deep sigh. This wasn't the time to have second thoughts. Especially the one that could properly fight.

"Kuran. I know where you're coming from. But you saw and heard who our opponent is. That person is not gonna care what you, or I think."

"B, But..."

"And this isn't just about the two of us."

"Huh?"

Ryuichi pressed on one of the keys from the keyboard, revealing a map with two dots moving. Kuran saw the map, and a second later her eyes widened in revelation.

"We have new heads to take care of, right? Who's going to watch over them if this place gets taken? Certainly not the person you're hesitant to fight."

"..."

Kuran stared at the map without words. Soon she clenched her fists. Instead of hesitation the fight in her eyes had returned.

With a faint smile, Ryuichi reached out his hand slightly above Kuran's head.

"So you with me?"

"Yeah."

Their hands met with a satisfying clap.

"Hey uh, can I go talk with my guys real fast? With any luck maybe I'd convince at least one of them from ripping apart our visitor."

"Sure. Just make it quick."

"Alright! I'll be back before you know it!~"

Ryuichi took a long look at Kuran, her figure quickly getting farther and farther with every step. Standing right next to him, Descendant folded her arms looking at the same direction. They both had an unclear look on their faces.

"Is it just me, or does it feel like Kuran's still hiding something?"

[You too, huh. I didn't figure Kuran was the type to keep secrets. Then again, everyone has their own secrets.]

"Yeah. You're right..."

Ryuichi nodded, agreeing with Descendant in more ways than one. He wasn't about to confront Kuran about dishonesty, when Ryuichi himself wasn't honest with her.

"Let's just hope this doesn't become a problem."

Vwooom

With the humming of metal, the elevator had started to move. Every single person and unit's attention focusing on the descending machinery, most likely carrying an extremely dangerous individual.

"W, What should we do? S, Should we shoot?"

"It's strange how this one actually took the elevator. Maybe it doesn't expect an ambush?"

"Oh, this intruder is definitely looking down on us! Why don't we send a hot welcome to prove it wrong!"

"A 500 meter drop would certainly do some damage."

"Seems like a good opportunity."

Red pulse, Conroe, Aermo and Berserk dragon seemed eager to attack the elevator before it could descend. Their combined group certainly had enough firepower to destroy the elevator and then some.

"Y, Yay..."

In Kuran's case their eagerness was bad news. It seemed impossible to make her units less aggressive than they were now.

"Looks like Kagero wants to attack the elevator. Which I do agree on."

"Maybe we should do it. We're high enough to get a clean shot."

"Whoever strikes first, I suggest we wait for our pioneer's orders."

"You're just saying that because you think Ryuichi's going to be pissed if we destroy his stuff, right?"

"Aren't we all?"

""Oh yeah.""

Spark rain, Recklessness, Thunderstorm and Demolition were more cautious compared to the Kagreo units. They preferred to attack efficiently, just like how they were positioned in both air and ground.

Kuran and Ryuichi both saw their unit's reactions and their eagerness to fight. They were all waiting for their respected Pioneer's orders.

"Uh...Alright guys, just.. don't overdo yourselves too much. That's all I want to say."

Time was too short for details, as Kuran hastily told her request, before quickly running back to Ryuichi's side. Her units had mixed reactions. Some thinking as a warm concern, some were confused of the meaning behind it, and others didn't seem to mind it at all. After seeing the act, Narukami units turned to Ryuichi if he'd have something to say. He responded by pointing at the descending elevator, pointing at the ground level, and then swiftly passing his thumb across his neck.

'Ah, attack on arrival.'

They soon nodded in unison.

Kuran was back with Ryuichi in mere three seconds, bringing along a gust of wind when she halt to a stop.

"*Cough* So, how'd it go."

"It certainly could've gone... better. They looked more confused than actually understanding."

"Tough luck. I ordered my guys to fire on sight."

"...I know."

Kuran sighed as she was clearly the only one who cared for their unknown opponent.

A small doubt has been growing inside Kuran, something she'd kept secret from the others. Ever since she saw the footage from upstairs. Particularly when the stranger used it's powers.

It wasn't rare for a Psyqualia user who could control the elements. Kuran herself was one, and 'technically' so was Ryuichi. But a Psyqualia user who's also a Pioneer, that uses an ice element. That was another story. And the sheer hatred once Kuran was mentioned. The more she dwell on the thought, the clearer Kuran's doubt had become.

'I, It can't be... Right?...'

She couldn't shake the thought, maybe, just maybe. The stranger could be 'him'.

She looked up at the descending elevator. Suddenly an unusual thought had accrued to her. After raising an eyebrow, Kuran then turned to Ryuichi and asked.

"Uh, Ryuichi san?"

"Yeah?"

"The elevator is still working."

Before Ryuichi could answer, Linchu scoffed at how Kuran was stating the obvious.

"Duh, we can see that. What's so special about it?"

"I know that, but 'why'?"

"...Huh."

The same thought had hit Rinhcu as well. He also turned to Ryuichi with a similar face like Kuran's. Both of doubt and questions. They both knew Ryuichi was the last person to let someone here willingly. And yet the elevator was running, which Ryuichi had complete control of from his computer.

"Oh, well you see..."

As Ryuichi was about to explain, he took three steps back towards the keyboard and slightly turned his eyes to a red button. With one last look at the elevator, he placed his index finger and slowly applied pressure on it.

"I like a good surprise."

Upon pressing the button, for just a split second, a flash of warm light shined above everyone's heads. A split second after that...

BOOM!

An ear piercing explosion as the elevator blew up. The roar spread fast, as well as the fire engulfing the metal box. Soon metal began to twist, and a sharp sound later the barely hanging cables were blown away from the elevator.

The fiery cage fell.

Faster and faster. Leaving a fiery trail as it rapidly descended.

Screams of burning metal growing louder with every momentum.

400meters.

200.

CRASH!

The catastrophic fall hit the ground with immense force that the entire cave shook, along with a wave of fire spreading from the point of impact. The Kagero unit's who were the closest, simply stood in place, taking the debris and shock head on as they were engulfed in flames. Other's outside the blast zone shivered as they felt the strong shockwaves bouncing off of every parts of the cave, shaking the walls uncontrollably as if it was going to collapse.

But even after that, the cave stood perfectly fine, proving more than enough the structure's durability. Compared to the fall, the explosion earlier was child's play, which was exactly what Ryuichi had in mind.

""""Blast away!""""

After they'd endured the blast, the Kagero units unleashed a barrage of projectiles towards the flaming wreckage. Aermo's fireballs, Berserk and Lava flow's fire breath which were enhanced by Red pulse and Conroe's boost, made short work of the wreckage, instantly burning away even the smallest of matter.

"Okay, I think that's enough."

Kuran crossed both arms into a big X and raised it above her head. One of Berserk's head saw her signal and issued a cease fire to all other units. After Aermo extinguishing the flames, there was nothing left but a black scorched surface.

"Now how's that for a welcome mat."

[Too much Ryuichi. Too much.]

"Whoa! When did you set 'that' up!?"

Satisfied by the outcome, Ryuichi's lips split into a smirk, while Descendant shook her head and Linchu shocked about a bomb that he's never heard of.

"Ryuichi san! One day we're gonna have a serious talk about this!"

So was Kuran, furiously stabbing her index finger towards Ryuichi's direction, as if to say enough is enough, in which Ryuichi nodded in a somewhat reluctant manner. However Ryuichi meant it. Outside the dozens of turrets that he deployed, there was no other secret booby traps left to shock anyone. At least for now.

[Uh, Ryuichi? You might wanna look at this.]

Following where Descendant was looking, Ryuichi turned his head to her direction, only to see the computer screen. Observing the screen a single second, Ryuichi's calm look quickly turned to irritation as he bit his lower lip.

"Damn it!"

Immediately Ryuichi aggressively typed the keyboard as if he was trying to break it. After inputting the commands, every single turrets were locked to the wreckage's direction.

Meanwhile, two out of the six Conroes stepped ahead, cautiously approaching step by step while keeping their guard up with both shield and axe. They've reached at the scorched spot until one of them spotted something unusual.

"What is this?"

"It seems to be, a hole?"

What the Kagero units didn't realize, their flames were too hot that it melted the surface and accidentally created a small pit underneath.

[Conroe!]

[Get back! The bastard's signal is still-]

Kuran waved her arms to tell her units to get back, along with Ryuichi yelling through the speaker to warn the Conroes. But it was a little too late.

FZOOOM-

A green blast of light soared from the hole, and instantly the closest Conroe's head was no more. The second Conroe saw in shock at his replica's headless body. The body turned into particles of red light in an instant, soon completely disappearing into thin air.

Before anyone could react, the second Conroe was soon met with a hand emerging from the hole, reaching out to his head.

An icicle the size of a person erected from the hand and impaled Conroe's skull. Instantly killed, the second Conroe soon disappeared, following the footsteps of his replica.

"Damn you!"

The Kagero units were outraged by witnessing Conroe's demise and struck back. Once again unleashing flaming hell. Only this time, knowing just where to strike along with fury fueling their flames. However they were so clouded by anger, not one of them realized the ground beneath started to crack.

BOOOM!

The ground exploded with great force. Along with chunks of rock, two Conroes. Lava flow and Aermo who were unlucky enough to be close was sent flying like leaves on wind. But what soon appeared in front of the Kageron's proved that this was no explosion.

What arose from the ground was a five story tall giant. A giant from head to toe, made of thick green emeralds, equipped with armor that boosted it's already durable body. The singular gem on the giant's head shined in a daunting purple light, menacingly looking down at it's dragonic foes.

As Vanguard players it didn't take long for both Ryuichi and Kuran to realize what the giant was.

Titan of the infinite trench. A grade 2 unit. And it's unique design did nothing to hide it's clans identity, as it was almost undeniable.

""Aqua Force!?""

"GRZAAAAA!"

Titan knelt and joined it's tree trunk like arms vertically just before the rushing fire hit it's body. The fire roared out loud, but the huge arms stood fine against the dragonic fire. It's size as well as it's high density made it the perfect wall to block out the fire. More importantly, preventing any damage to the core on it's head.

"GRAAAA!"

Titan rushed forward while using it's arms like a battering ram. Every thump from Titan's step emphasized just how heavy and deadly it was. It seemed difficult for the rest of the Kagero units to hold the line after half of them were knocked out from Titan's surprise attack.

"Tsk! All of you, follow me!"

Berserk and his forces swiftly ran to the side, just in time to get away from Titan's charge. That was when Berserk saw several green lights emanating from Titan's back.

"! Get back! Conroes, support!"

"Yes sir!"

FZOOOM FZOOOM FZOOOM

Berserk stepped forward curling his body into a defensive stance, followed by multiple green energy blasts that peppered his body. Thanks to the two Conroe's lending their energy, Berserk's enhanced durability withstood the rain of lasers. But it wasn't enough to block out the pain.

"Grk!..."

Between the gap of his crossed arms, Berserk caught a glimpse of his attackers.

Four Tear knight Theos and two Officer cadet Erikks. They rode upon Titan's back as a moving fortress, using the hard crystals as cover, while at the same time using their own energy to boost Titan.

"So that's how it withstood our flames. Oof!... And to set up, an ambush in case their back is attacked..."

Berserk clicked his tongue in both out of frustration and respect.

"Titan, ninety degrees starboard."

Upon Theo's order, Titan halted to a stop and shifted it's body towards Berserk's direction. Berserk on the other hand, even while being attacked, instead of attacking or running away, he and his men stood in place. It would be a bad idea to walk into the blast radius.

Blzrttt! Blzrtt! Blzrtt!

From above, crackling lightning bolts and countless plasma shots struck down at titan. Titan's body flinched upon getting hit by a single bolt. A small, but a sure crack had appeared on the spot. It stopped dead in it's tracks and curled it's body again to block the attacks. However...

"GRAAAKKK!"

Titan screeched in pain as one of the mighty bolts struck it's right arm, causing an explosion that completely shattered the giant chunk of crystal, falling to the ground with a big thump. Ironically it was the same arm that withstood Berserk's flames. The extreme heat had partially weakened the crystal's structure and made it brittle.

"Haha! How dare you step foot in our territory!"

"The core, Dragoon! Aim for the core!"

Hanging on to the high wall, Recklessness Dragon and Thunderstorm's Dragoon focused fire on Titan, continuously shooting lightning bolts from their jaws. And for every successful strike, chunks of Titan's body was blown away along with a thunder like boom.

"Erikk, defenses!"

"I, It's too fas- Guak!"

While the bolts focused on Titan, the plasma bolts made quick work of the other units that were caught by surprise. They didn't have the chance to aid Titan nor themselves. The blue glowing bolts rained down and ruthlessly penetrated Theo and Erikk, over and over like Swiss cheese until they vanished.

BOOM!

"GR-"

Among a dozen, one lucky shot directly hit Titan's core. At that point what was left of Titan was half an arm, a massively chipped off body, and a leg full of holes that it was crumbling at it's own weight. Titan's end was short, vanishing just before it's motionless body hit the floor.

"W, We did it! Conroe, Lava flow! We beat the intruder!"

Red pulse waved it's minigun equipped hands in the air with glee. But instead of enjoying the victory, everyone besides him had the opposite reaction. The tension of combat haven't left the others. In fact they steeled themselves further, sharpening their eyes, teeth, claws and senses as if they were preparing for the worst.

"Form a line! Aermo! Gather yourself and the others here, now!"

"Argh... Alright!"

After shaking off a minor concussion, Aermo and the other three units that got forcibly separated by Titan, quickly returned to Berserk's group.

"W, What's wrong everyone? Why is-"

Red pulse's question was soon silenced by a massive rumbling. Then...

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Five, continuous times of deafening sounds. Five, hulking figures rose, each with a singular purple glow on it's head. And on it's back, several smaller green lights, eagerly seeking at it's next target.

"""""GRRRRZZZAAAA!"""""

The titans now armed in numbers marched ahead with terrifying presence. A wave of mountains, creating a small earthquake from every step they take. And this time, they weren't the only ones.

FWOOSHHH!

Nine figures rapidly soared to the air. The sudden sound of roaring engines caught everyone by surprise as they looked up.

Five Coral assault, a green haired marine riding a flying black jet ski, equipped with thrusters on the rear blasting water and a two meter long chain gun. And four Storm rider Basils, a marine with turquoise skin standing on a flat hovercraft, wielding a green energy sword and two energy cannons equipped on the front side of the hovercraft.

"We shall show you the air superiority of Aqua force!"

"Avoid close encounters and destroy the turrets!"

"Roger that!"

The airborne units scattered away, firing their weapons and began demolishing multiple turrets installed at the walls. Both in ground and air were now in risk of being taken over.

And yet, Aqua force's pioneer were still nowhere to be seen. A disturbing uncertainty that was lingering at the side of Ryuichi's mind.

"Damn it. The bastard's calling units left and right. Well two can play at that game."

Ryuichi took out his deck and quickly checked through the dozens of cards with his eyes, to see which unit could perform the best. The obvious choice would be to call Descendant, but it was a double edged sword. If she was struck down Ryuichi would lose his strongest unit for the entire battle, which would mean a death sentence to them. Not to mention, calling grade 3 units costed a hefty amount of spiritual energy, and Ryuichi was already paying the cost for his called units. This was the time to enforce numbers than a single powerhouse.

"You too, Kuran."

Ryuichi took a quick glance at Kuran before returning to his deck. But just as he did, Ryuichi flinched as something seemed unusual about her. He turned to Kuran for a closer look, which only confirmed his worries.

"Ah...Ah..."

Kuran was visibly trembling, embracing herself as if a cold chill had taken over. Her eyes were void of any will to fight, and instead was filled with fear.

The look on Ryuichi's face quickly turned to confusion. He couldn't believe what was happening. It was all so sudden that Ryuichi thought for a second that he was seeing things. Out of disbelief, Ryuichi grabbed Kuran by the shoulder, shaking her up a bit as if to wake her up.

"Kuran! What's gone into you!?"

"H, Huh? R, Ryuichi san..."

It took a good second for Kuran to even realize Ryuichi was in front of her. Ryuichi steadied his breath as best as he could, but his hands were trembling as there was no way denying things were going bad, fast.

"I don't know what's going on, but you and I have to call more units. We have to fight!"

"I, I can't... I can't!..."

Kuran shook her head in denial and pushed Ryuichi away.

"What..."

Ryuichi froze, shuddering as if he was hit in the head. A change of tone was a understatement, It was as if Kuran's mind had been reversed.

[What's wrong with her? Did she fall into some kind of spell?]

"A spell? But who? I don't see any units that might cause this!"

Rinchu quickly rushed to Kuran and lifted his great sword into a defensive stance, just in case any attack would come for them next. He and Descendant looked around for any Aqua force units near them, but couldn't find any Aqua force units near them. They were all too busy fighting off Ryuichi and Kuran's units.

'But why only Kuran? If their plan was to weaken us, than I should also be affected by the spell. If there even is one...'

The more Ryuichi thought about it, the less likely it seemed that there was any spell to begin with. But then what? What was causing Kuran to completely break down?

[Kuran! Listen to me!]

Suddenly Chain blast had appeared in front of Kuran in spiritual form. He looked directly at her, with a dead serious tone in his voice, unlike his usual hearty persona.

[I know you don't want to fight 'him'! But if we don't, we're all going to die!]

"But... what if I hurt 'him'?... I, I can't bear to do it again..."

"What are you guys talking about? Who's 'he'?"

[The two of you! Stop talking in riddles and get it out already! What do you know that we don't?]

Unlike Ryuichi, who still tried to keep his cool, Descendant fiercely pointed at Chain blast and Kuran, demanding them answers this instant. Keeping a secret was one thing. Keeping a secret that would put others in grave danger, was something else entirely. Descendant was already tense as it is that a invasion happened in the middle of the time when her pioneer was vulnerable.

[Alright. The truth is-]

"Ah!.."

Chain blast and Kuran both paused to the feeling of danger. They felt an almost suffocating gaze shooting towards them. Filled with killing intent making their skin itch as if it being prickled by countless needles. And somehow, this particular energy was one that they were familiar, even nostalgic.

The two swiftly looked up, spotting an anomaly among the cave's ceiling. A transparent haze of some sort bent the still scenery with a wave like movement.

"Tsk."

Knowing that it was found out, the anomaly clicked it's tongue and rapidly descended towards Ryuichi, who was just about to call additional units.

"R, Ryuichi san!"

With out hesitation Kuran leaped ten meters in the air, right between Ryuichi and the incoming anomaly. A voice roared as enormous spiritual energy surged to the point Ryuichi and Rinchu could feel it.

"DON'T GET IN MY WAY!"

POW!

An explosive impact shook the air uncontrolablly. Along with a rapid gust of air hitting the ground, the shockwave from the impact damaged and cracked the large computer screen.

"Arg!"

Ryuichi fell down quite heavily as the impact literally stomped him to the ground. His legs and back were sore with ears ringing like sirens. But luckily it didn't feel like anything inside of him broke. However when he fell down, all of his cards got scattered all around, with only seven cards near enough to pick up.

"Damn it, attacking just before I could call anyone! Kuran! Where-"

"Ukk!... Hck!..."

Only a few steps in front of him, Ryuichi found Kuran pinned to the ground getting chocked, desperately struggling to breath and failing. The one who knelt right next to her, grasped Kuran's throat with an iron grip, and didn't seem to stop until Kuran was lifeless.

The hatred oozing off of it's eyes. There was no mistake, it was the stranger.

"Kuran!"

"Get away from her!"

Rinchu dashed in and struck the stranger's arm that chocked Kuran. But instead of the sound of broken bones was a ringing sound, like metal collided with another metal, as the strangler didn't even flinch.

"Stop meddling."

The stranger reached out his hand towards Rinchu's face. Spiritual energy surged from the palm of the hand. But just before it was unleashed, the stranger was jumped by something massive.

"Haha! I hope you said farewell to your head!"

Dragonic Deathscythe, a four story tall dragon in Dark black and red spiked armor, swung his giant scythe that sent the stranger flying and crash land into the ground.

Ryuichi, who ended calling Deathscythe due to being the closest card he picked up, pointed to where the stranger had just fallen.

"Deathscythe! Take care of that shit head! Cut the head for all I care!"

"Hoho! With joy!"

Deathscythe twirled his scythe with joy. Meanwhile the stranger immediately got up as if it was nothing. And with a single leap, instantly rushed in front of Deathscythe, followed by a flurry of punches in which clashed violently with the scythe.

"Sure! Call whatever you can! Like it's gonna make a difference!"

"You damn, punk!"

Deathscythe gritted his teeth and swung his scythe in a frenzy. Meanwhile Rinchu picked Kuran up on his shoulders and quickly ran away, before he found himself squashed beneath Deathscythe's foot. Rinchu returned to Ryuichi in no time, and the two immediately checked on Kuran's status.

"Kuran! Can you hear me?"

"Ugh,.. Y, Yeah.."

Ryuichi tried picking up Kuran by himself, but unlike someone who just got strangled, Kuran seemed fine enough to get up on her own. So instead Ryuichi reached out his hand. And grabbing it, Kuran was back on her feet.

"Thanks..."

[Thank Nuvelle Vague you're alright...]

But when things started to look up, it wasn't long before it plummeted back to square one.

"Ugh!..."

The stranger stood on top of Deathscythe's head, frozen solid in pale blue ice. He looked down on the helpless dragon while lifting one of his foot.

"Let's see how you like your head off your body."

CRACK!

A simple stomp and Deathscythe's head was shattered like glass. Deathscythe's headless body violently convulsed, before completely vanishing into the ether. The stranger gently landed on the ground and turned his head towards the two pioneers, especially Kuran.

This was when Ryuichi first saw what the stranger looked like. It was a boy, looking no older than Kuran, maybe even the same age. A beige bean hat covered his light blue hair, which grew to almost reach his eyes and ears.

He wore a white short sleeved jacket, and inside a black t shirt with a red crossed circle, with navy blue shorts. The revealed arms and legs were well trained with muscles, nothing what anyone would expect from someone that young.

He tapped the end of his black sneakers with white stripes at the ground, most likely to rid off the feeling of frozen flesh stuck on his shoes.

The boy crossed his arms and chuckled. But while his mouth was laughing, his eyes had possessed a deep and dark grudge. One that he was aimed to fulfill.

"It's been a long time. Hasn't it, Kuran?"

"K, Kei..."

Kuran's hands gripped in fear, as she called the name that she hadn't said in a long time.

Shirou Kei. The name belonging to her once, long friend.
