Peter sat on a log, watching his newfound friends tidy up the camp. They had all agreed to help search for the lab in hopes of finding the Collider. A sense of unease gnawed at him as he observed the teens gathering supplies around him. He'd never been anywhere near dinosaurs before, and despite having traversed countless bizarre dimensions, he wasn't certain how he'd manage to survive this one—especially without his suit.

He fought off the Carnotarus, but just barely. He nearly killed himself with those electrical staffs. If only he had the suit, which is insulated, he would have been fine.

It wasn't until Brooklyn pointed it out that he even noticed the burns on his arm. "Hm?" he said, glancing over at the pink-haired girl. "The burns—what happened?"

"I saw the whole thing!" Kenji exclaimed, his voice buzzing with excitement as he approached Peter and Brooklyn.

"Why do you look so happy that he looks burned?" Brooklyn asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm not happy he's burned! I'm just amazed at how he fought off that dinosaur! I mean, he got zapped by, like, over nine electric staffs!" Kenji responded enthusiastically.

"Well, that proves he isn't lying about being a superhero." He walked over, arms crossed.

Brooklyn sighed, then looked at Peter. "But he still got hurt..."

Peter offered a soft smile. "It's fine, really. I've been through worse. I just wish I had my suit..."

"You have a suit?!" Kenji exclaimed, causing Brooklyn to jump.

"Kenji!" Brooklyn scolded before turning away.

"Y-Yeah! I designed it myself. It's insulated. If only I had it, I wouldn't have these burns—" Peter replied.

"Then... where is the suit?" Darius asked, curiosity evident in his voice.

Peter shrugged. "I have no idea. I was wearing it before I got sent here. When I woke up, I realized I was in my normal clothes. It's strange because I don't wear anything underneath my suit—"

"Welp, did not need to know that one, little too much information there bruh," Kenji interrupted.

"Kenji, shut up," Darius said, shooting him a sideways glance. Peter chuckled.

"Maybe it came here? Maybe it's near the Collider?" Darius suggested, though Peter felt uncertain about the possibility.

"And speaking of Collider, where the heck is Yaz? Isn't that one of the reasons we haven't left yet?" Kenji asked.

Darius nodded. "Yeah, and Ben still hasn't returned—"

"Who cares about Ben?" Kenji rolled his eyes.

"You do! You're clearly head over heels for him," Darius teased.

"Am not!" Kenji snapped. "I like Brook-..." He quickly shut up. "Lemme shut up.."

Peter couldn't help but chuckle at their banter, it reminded him of his own exchanges with Miles.

They continued to wait, but then Brooklyn came sprinting toward them, breathless. "Darius! Kenji! Peter!" she shouted, urgency etched across her face.

"Woah, what's wrong Brook?" Darius asked, spinning around at her frantic call.

"It's Yaz! And Sammy too! They're trapped!"

"Trapped?! Where?!" Kenji asked, his voice rising in alarm.

"In some cave!" Brooklyn replied.

"C-Ca...? How did they get trapped in a cave?!" Darius asked.

"Follow me!" Brooklyn shouted, taking off in the opposite direction.

"Peter, come on!" Kenji urged as he and Darius followed her.

Peter went with them. 'I'll help them in any way I can'

"Sammy! Yaz!" Brooklyn reached the cave entrance, her voice ringing out. "Brooklyn! You're here! Please, help us!" they called back.

"How... are we gonna help them.. Exactly?" Kenji asked, his face twisting in confusion.

Peter rushed to Brooklyn's side, staring at the boulders blocking the cave.

"Oh geez, how did this happen?!" Darius yelled.

"It was one of the dinosaurs!" a southern accent from within the cave responded. "We ran in here, and one of them was too big, and crashed into the opening!"

"Yeah! and it caused the front to cave in!" The other voice said.

Peter watched as they struggled to shift the boulders themselves.

"Allow me—" he said, stepping forward.

All of them stopped, then looked at Peter. Then, they backed away.

Peter approached the boulders and effortlessly lifted them, tossing them aside like they were made of paper.

Inside, two girls stared at him in awe. "Woah... that was fast. How y'all did that?" one of them asked.

"Sammy!" Brooklyn cried, rushing to hug her friend. Sammy giggled and returned the embrace.

The other girl stood still, her gaze fixed on Peter. "Uh... who's this?"

"You wouldn't believe us if we told you," Darius said.

Just then Sammy noticed. "Um, where you always here with us?"

Peter took a deep breath. "I'm from an alternate dimension. I'm Peter Parker. The human-spider known as Spider-Man."With that, four spider legs ejected out of Peter's back, and slammed into the ground. Everyone froze, even Darius and Kenji because they never saw Peter do that before.

"Uh... sweet mother of..." Sammy said. Yaz blinked.

"Uh... you can do... whatever this is too?" Kenji stammered.

"Spider-Man?" Darius asked.

"Yes. That's my superhero name," Peter said.

"Superhero?!" Sammy gasped.

"Wait what?!" Yaz said.

Peter opened his mouth to respond when—

Arg!

Arg!

Arg!

"Oh crap, the velociraptors!" Darius shouted. Peter's Spider-Sense flared with urgency. He sensed at least five of them nearby.

It was time for him to be a hero to people who didn't know him.
