A whole month after our amazing wedding, Roxanne and I went to the island of Barbados in the Caribbean for our wonderful honeymoon, which lasted for two weeks. After flying from Spoonerville Airport and landing in Grantley Adams International Airport, we caught a taxi and arrived at the hotel we were staying at in Bridgetown. The hotel was small yet lovely and we liked our room and the bed, the bathroom, the TV and the balcony with it very much. And the hotel staff were very friendly and professional and we enjoyed the food we had at the restaurant for our breakfast every morning. And we had a lot of fun exploring the wonderful island of Barbados.

I'll never forget the awesome day when Roxanne and I went to the Harrison's Cave Eco-Adventure Park. We enjoyed the tram tour to see the vast limestone cave and the stunning crystal-clear water pools and the beautiful white flow stones. After that incredible tour, I went to try the Monkey Zipline and Harrison's Cave Challenge Course, which I enjoyed doing both. While I had fun with those challenges, Roxanne enjoyed walking around the Pride of Barbados Nature Trail and Bird Aviary. Then we caught up with each other and we went to the Harrison's Cave Mount Gay Rum Experience and Tasting before we went back to the hotel.

Roxanne and I enjoyed learning about the history of Barbados by going to places including the Barbados Museum and Historical Society, the George Washington House and the Garrison Historic Area among them.

We also enjoyed seeing Barbados's beautiful gardens and incredible wildlife, especially the monkeys at Welchman Hall Gully, the butterflies at Andromeda Botanic Gardens, the monkeys, the birds, the reptiles and other animals at the Barbados Wildlife Reserve and the Orchid World and Tropical Flower Garden and all the awesome unique Barbados trees and plants in them.

Roxanne and I went to many of Barbados's beautiful beaches whenever we could. We enjoyed relaxing on them. As usual, I would go and do many awesome water sports whenever I could, especially with surfing, wind surfing and kite surfing among them, while Roxanne would just continue relax on the beach and work on her sexy, gorgeous golden tan.

One day, I decided to go paddle boarding. Roxanne decided to be brave and give it a try. She was nervous about it at first, like she always was at everything at first, but whenever she tried something and I was there to help her with it, she always felt better. After I taught her everything I knew about paddle boarding and giving it a few tries, she became very good at it. She still does it with me from time to time and she still does fall off her paddle board a few times, but so do I and, to us, the best thing of doing paddle boarding is doing it together.

Roxanne and I did a lot of swimming and underwater exploring in Barbados. We did a lot of snorkelling and saw a lot of incredible marine life and massive sunken ships. One day, we went on a helmet diving trip. It was something that we both tried for the first time. We enjoyed walking on the seabed and seeing the marine life and the giant ships closer to us than when we just went snorkelling. One day, we explored the rest of the Barbados underwater world by taking a trip in the Atlantis Submarine.

One day, Roxanne fancied trying horseback riding, so we did it. She hadn't ridden horses since she and her dad had to work for that farmer in Missouri, but when she rode the horse she rode in Barbados, she felt it was like riding a bike. She handled the horse very well. I, on the other hand, didn't handle the horse I rode and I kept falling off. It wasn't my most favorite part of the honeymoon, but it made Roxanne very happy, so it was all worth it in the end.

One day, we went on an ATV tour. As usual, I drove the ATV while Roxanne sat behind me and held onto me as we had fun exploring the rest of the island.

And Roxanne and I enjoyed all the delicious food and drinks at the lovely cafes and restaurants we went to. We especially enjoyed trying the cou-cou and flying fish, Bajan macaroni pie, Bajan fish cakes, pigtails, roti, pepperpot stew and salt bread among them.

So, yeah, it was the perfect honeymoon for me and Roxanne and nothing could have gone any better.

And Roxanne and I are still married to this very day and we are very happy in our marriage and with our four amazing kids, Henry, Teri, Polly and Timmy. Of course, it isn't perfect. By that, I mean our happy marriage and happy family life isn't like the perfect happily-ever-after marriages and family lives you read in fairy tales. No one needs to be a relationship expert to know that no one has the perfect marriage or perfect family life in real life or ever did or ever will, except those who live in their own world. Roxanne and I do have arguments and get stressed with each other and with our children like all families do, even the ones that appear to be perfect when you look at them. Should I even say, 'especiallythe ones that appear to be perfect when you look at them'? But, from my point of view and Roxanne's point of view and all the point of views from our kids, we don't have many arguments and stressful times and we strongly believe that we are very close to being a perfect family as far as real life will allow us and none of us would change anything about our lives. I still do my very best to be the best husband and father I can be, Roxanne continues to be an excellent wife and mother and our kids are just amazing as they are. And both Roxanne and I are very grateful that our friends – PJ, Lucy, Bobby, Stacey, Lauren, Lisa, Vicky, Valeria and Kenny – are their godparents and my dad and Sylvia are excellent grandparents and my sister Hannah is an amazing aunt as well.

I continue to work at Spoonerville College and help its athlete students become professional athletes ready for the real world. Roxanne continues to work at the Unique Flowers School and, through the years, she worked her way up and she has been the principal of that school for nearly five years. She is the best principal that school has ever had and has managed to make it one of the very best special needs school not just in the USA, but also in the whole wide world and she continues to help students with learning difficulties learn and help them to survive in the world to the very best of their ability and help the special needs teachers and the parents of the special needs students to help them as well. And our own kids continue to grow up and become smarter and full of fun and full of life. Despite our lives not being perfect, we are all very happy and nothing could be better for us.
