Chapter 25:
An act of passion
Carmine estate, the next morning, pride ring, hell:

"what have you done, Sera what have you DONE?!" Sera nervously muttered to herself as she hastily tried to scrape all her garments together, strewn across the room the night before with reckless abandon, as she tried to make as little sound as possible in an attempt to not wake up the original owner of the beautifully decorated bedroom she had found herself in when she woke up that morning.
When Sera arose, the first thing she noted was that she was 1: not in her own bedroom, 2: not in heaven, and 3: …NOT ALONE IN THIS BED.
Eyes wide in realization, she'd look next to her, only to find the sleeping form of the angelic arms dealer, Carmilla Carmine, her neck peppered with hickeys and lipstick marks.
Now, Sera found herself muttering "Sera, you fool, you harlot, what have you done?" as she managed to find every single piece of clothing as she begun to frantically scribble an apology note, leaving it on the now vacant other pillow before creating a portal and disappearing back to heaven, tho not before she heard the sleepy voice of Carmilla, as she slowly lifted her head and with sleepy, half open eyes, she softly mumbled out "W-wha…?"
hoping no one saw her, Sera quickly scurried through the portal, VERY naked, clothes in hand as she began to recall how she had ended up in this situation…..

Carmine estate, the day prior, pride ring, hell:

Entering the boardroom, Sera tried her best to get the butterflies in her stomach under control as she approached the tall weapons dealer "My sincerest apologies for leaving so suddenly in our last meeting, miss Carmine" she apologetically stumbled out, though she was met with a smile "Apology accepted, as high seraphim, you must have allot of responsibilities after all" before she remembered what Vaggie had told her "And please….call me Carmilla"
"Fuck…." Sera thought "…even her name is beautiful…." Before regaining her composure "O-of course Carmilla" as she gave her a smile, though not before, on cue, her wings began to instinctively flutter and her feathers began to puff up.
Cursing her angelic instincts under her breath, Sera once again tried to feign a smile as she sat down, attempting to get her wings under control, trying to not draw too much attention to them.
None of this going by the sharp eyed overlord, Carmille stood up and smiled "You seem nervous, Sera, perhaps I can offer a drink?" as she walked over to a nearby cabinet, glasses and expensive bottles on top of it "I have heard from a reliable source….mainly our shared acquaintance Ashley….that you are a tad of a lightweight, so may I perhaps offer something light?"
Seeing the tall woman saunter her way over to the cabinet, Sera suddenly felt her mouth to be rather dry as she stumbled over her words "A d-drink….sounds lovely right now, yes, thank you"
Giving her a glance, Carmilla chuckled….a chuckle that send a little electric pulse through the tall seraphim's brain as it nearly short circuited her thoughts.
Soon though, the weapons dealer would return, handing Sera a glass "Please, drink, relax, make yourself comfortable"
Awkwardly accepting the drink, Sera tried to calm her nerves as she took a few healthy gulps from the beverage, trying to get her thoughts under control, before clearing her throat and trying her best to put on her best, most professional decorum as Sera began "Well, I have thought about your proposition, and I have heard from reliable sources that the carmine brand strives for nothing but finesse and perfection. You and your daughters are masters in your craft, not only in creating some of the most robust, fine weapons ever seen, but in tools and other amenities as well"
The tall angel took a few deep breaths, watching the grey skinned overlord's body closely for any subtle clues as to attain her response.
"And I believe some of heaven's artificers would be able to make great use of your expertise. This…..i think would make for a wonderful counter offer. Do this, and your company shall be supplied with all the angelic steel that you require"
Slotting her fingers together, Carmilla leaned her elbows on the table as she stared at Sera's explanation, nodding periodically at the bulletpoints the tall angel brought up, only stopping from time to time to take a sip from her own drink before returning her full, undivided attention back to her guest.
As the counter offers were made on both sides, the meeting eventually came to a close as both parties stood up, Carmilla approaching the high seraphim "You make a compelling counter offer, Sera, I am sure that both hell and heaven will prosper from these decisions" as the tall overlord extended a hand, wanting to seal the business proposal.
Though as the angelic arms dealer did so, she'd notice Sera began to nervously fidget with the hem of her sleeve "Uhm….Carmilla….Miss Carmine…I uhm…w-wanted to…." As she began to pull out a rolled up piece of paper.
Carmilla would cock up a curious brow as Sera held out the paper in front of her, eyes closed and head tilted down, almost yelping out her words "PLEASEACCEPTTHISGIFT"
