Chase sat down at his desk looking at his board filled with papers, pictures, notes and yarn. Something straight from a detective movie. "It's not adding up." He grumbled and snapped his pencil in half.

He looked at his clock and it read 1:07 A.M. He sighed and reviewed some notes.

The door creaked open and in came Ryder with his pajamas on. "What are you doing still awake?"

Chase shook his head. "I don't understand what I'm missing here Sir." Chase sighed and leaned back onto his chair.

Ryder shook his head. "Chase, you are one hell of a detective but you aren't doing yourself any favors by tiring yourself out. Go to bed, big day tomorrow. And that's an order." Ryder said and closed the door.

Chase gave his work one last look before walking to his bed and let out a heavy sigh and shut his eyes.

The next morning everyone was up bright and early. "Ready for action Ryder sir!" Chase barked out.

Instead of standing on top of the lookout. They had everyone standing on a podium in front of a media team and the towns people. With the addition of Everest and Tracker added to the list. In front of them was Ryder, the mayor and a Doberman by the name of Claw.

Ryder took the mic "I'd like to thank you all for gathering today to celebrate the very first addition to the paw patrol main headquarters team. I've been watching Claw for awhile now and I think he brings the versatility we need and a positive cool attitude if, I may say, to the team. But without further ado, I'd like to welcome Claw!" Ryder spoke as he attached his own pup tag.

All of the members howled in joy and welcomed their newest member to the tower. Hundreds of pictures were snapped and the news covered the local paper.

Chase watched as Claw smugly smirked at the crowd. There had been bad blood in the past but Chase had to swallow his pride on this one.

After the media team left and the place fell to more calmness, the team took the time to individually show them their rooms. Of course they knew Claw beforehand but he'd never entered the prestigious lookout.

Everyone met in the living to allow Chase give his final tour of his place.

Chase decided to take him outside to his pup house. "Does anyone feel...nervous for Claw?" Marshall gulped.

Skye and Everest scoffed. "Claw is gonna give Chase a run for his money to that 2nd in command position. Something about Claw is just...Dazzling." Skye said day dreaming about them.

The boys rolled their eyes. "You do you."

Chase and Claw entered the lookout and headed up stairs. "This is where I do most of my detective work. And since you're gonna be helping me here and there, I guess I should let you in on what I know about this "Infamous Bandit" that's going around." Chase said as he pushed open the door and Claw cockily walked past. "I'll have this case cracked within the week." He chuckled.

Chase walked over to his board and flipped it around revealing everything he knew about this bandit. "I know he operates by infiltrating into high end business and conning them." Chase explained and looked over at Claw who seemed to be frozen in place. "You okay?" Chase asked.

Claw shook his head and snapped out of his trance. "Yeah yeah." He shakily said. "I was following up on this too but I never knew you had this much " he spat out and sporadically looked around the room.

Chase didn't reveal his suspicion and led Claw out the room downstairs to where everywhere else is.

"Dude you look like you saw a ghost!" Zuma exclaimed and laughed.

"Chase really must've gotten to you." Rubble joined in.

They reached the bottom floor and Skye put herself between everyone. "Guys lay off." She said and pushed Claw away.

As they walked away Skye stared daggers at Chase. "Whatever you said it did wasn't cool." She angrily whispered.

Chase sighed and looked at Claw as he walked away. He put it off for now and decided to spend some time doing some more research. He went back and tracked the date, time and how long ago each major burglary happened.

Later than night. Chase signaled for everyone to head to bed. He did his usual lap around the perimeter of the lookout which usually takes 30 to 50 minutes. He reached his pup house which was located next to Claw. He decided to double check his and make sure he was really asleep. As expected he was but Chase had other plans.

He headed back into the lookout and continued up the stairs. But his gut was telling him something else. He quickly turned around and scanned the living room which was completely empty. He cautiously went up checking behind him every now and then and entered Ryders room. "Ryder." Chase whispered.

"Ryder!"

"Wha?"

"I need you to give me your files on Claw as soon as you can." Chase asked.

Ryder waved him hand. "Yeah yeah sure." He grumbled and turned away from Chase.

Chase quietly exited the room and made on last scan with his nose. It smelled like someone. He sniffed the floor and followed the smell to his dog house.

He checked Claw who was in the same position which seemed odd to Chase but he decided to ignore it.

He laid down and shut his eyes.
