Harry Potter - Rated: K – English - Drama/Romance

This story is based on the characters in Harry Potter. It introduces a new, previously unknown character, Honey Malfoy. Honey is the illegitimate child of Lucius Malfoy and Draco's half-sister. Lucius does not acknowledge her existence, but by wizarding law, she has been sent to Hogwarts's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

It is Hogsmeade weekend and most of the upper-class students are spending their sickles on butterbeer and tasty treats in Hogsmeade Village. Hogwarts School is practically vacant. Only a few students are around playing Wizard's Chess and other games in the Great Hall and the courtyard. Harry had opted out of going to the village and was in his dorm room in Gryffindor tower doing some much needed maintenance on his broomstick when a golden snitch flew into his open window and started hovering around his head.

"That's odd. There are no Quidditch games schedule for today," said Harry. He tries to reach for it, but it hovers just out of reach.

He reaches out towards the snitch, trying to catch it, but it continues to elude his grasp, dancing around him playfully. Harry looks at the snitch, raising an eyebrow in amusement. I wonder what this little guy wants. "OK, I'll play," he says. With that, the snitch flies out the window

Harry leans out the window and watches the snitch fly towards the Quidditch pitch. He grabs his Firebolt and heads that way to discover the meaning of this new Hogwarts's mystery.

Once Harry reaches the Quidditch pitch, he spies a lone figure in Slytherin robes riding a Nimbus 2001 in the starting position for a Seeker. The hood is covering his head but based on his size and flash of white hair, it could only be one person.

"Malfoy! "He says to himself. "This can't be good."

Harry quickly looks around the field for other Slytherins, but no one else seems to be around. "This had better not be an ambush."

Once mounted on his broomstick, he quickly flies up into position keeping a watchful eye out for attacks from any direction.

As Harry takes off, soaring high above the pitch, the snitch continues to dart around him, seemingly taunting him and playing its own game. As he circles around to face the other person, Harry cannot help but feel a sense of unease. Why would Malfoy be here alone? What is really going on?

As Harry draws closer, the rider turns to face him. The face belongs to the one person he had never expecting to see. Honey Malfoy!

Harry's heart skips a beat as he recognizes Honey. He cannot help but smile despite the situation. "What are you doing here? "He asks, keeping his eyes locked onto the elusive snitch flying erratically between them. "And where did you get that broomstick?"

"It's Draco's broom. He let me borrow it. Did you like my invitation? "She says pointing to the snitch.

Harry grins and nods, impressed by how cleverly the snitch had been used to lure him here.

"Very cunning," he admits, continuing to keep his gaze fixed on the snitch. "But why invite me? We're supposed to be enemies. Or, at least, pretend to hate each other." His eyes flicker back to Honey momentarily before returning to focus on the snitch again.

"I'm not usually a seeker either. I'm usually a beater, but a girl can change her mind about things, can't she? Which reminds me, you might want this," she tosses him a beater's bat. "I've unleased the bludgers as well. DUCK!"

Harry instinctively ducks as Honey warned him about the unleashed bludgers. The two balls come hurtling towards them, narrowly missing their heads. Harry quickly catches one of them with the bat Honey had thrown him.

"Thanks," he says, throwing her a quick grin before focusing back on the snitch, "what's this all about?" He maneuvers his broomstick skillfully through the air, weaving around the unpredictable path taken by the snitch.

"Simple. I'm challenging you to a one-on-one Quidditch match." She says confidently.

Harry's eyes widen in surprise, a grin spreading across his face. "A Quidditch match? Against you? That's... different," he chuckles, feeling a rush of adrenaline at the challenge. "Alright, let's do it!"

"But... there has got to be some rules. No jinxed balls, no hexes, and we play until one of us catches the snitch," Harry proposes, his gaze still locked onto the elusive golden ball.

"Agreed! And begin!"

Honet flies quickly toward the snitch taking Harry by surprise, but he quickly follows suit, maneuvering his broomstick expertly to keep up with Honey's swift movements. His heart pounds in his chest as they soar through the sky, the wind whipping through their hair. Their bodies become a blur as they chase after the snitch, dodging bludgers and each other. It is an exhilarating race, filled with danger and excitement. Harry cannot help but admire Honey's skills; she is an impressive opponent.

At one point, Harry sees a bludger coming towards Honey's head from behind. "Watch out Honey!" he yells, then watches as Honey performs the 'Bludger Backbeat' maneuver, hitting the bludger back at him, forcing him to dodge out of the way. He grins, impressed by Honey's quick thinking. She may be his rival, but she certainly knows how to hold her own in a game of Quidditch.

"Come on,"he thinks to himself,"don't let your guard down now."

With renewed determination, he focuses all his attention on the snitch, determined to catch it before Honey does. He had lost sight of the snitch while dodging but spots Honey hurtled toward the ground chasing after it. He quickly follows her.

Harry dives after Honey, watching as she swoops down towards the ground. His heart races as they both descend rapidly, the wind rushing past them. Just as he's about to collide with Honey, she pulls up and changes direction. Harry barely avoids crashing into the ground below.

"Did she just pull a 'Wronksi Feint'?" he wonders. "Yeah, she did, "he confirms, his eyes narrowing as he prepares for another move." But don't think that's going to work twice," he adds, determined to stay one step ahead of Honey in this intense game. "No more Mister Nice Guy!" he grins.

Harry pulls up alongside her and bumps her broomstick.

Caught off guard, Honey stumbles slightly, but quickly regains control of her broomstick. A smirk crosses her face as she realizes Harry's strategy. She then swiftly moves to the side, pulling up sharply and bumping Harry's broomstick instead.

"Looks like someone's getting a little desperate,"she teases, her eyes gleaming with mischief.

The snitch was flying just ahead of them and their brooms were neck and neck but Harry's arms were longer. It was just about in his reach... He stretches out his arm, fingers just grazing the elusive snitch. He can feel its warmth against his fingertips as he closes in on victory.

But just as he is about to grab it, Honey performs the 'Sloth Grip Roll', slipping under her broom, allowing the oncoming bludger that she was deliberately blocking from his view, to miss her and hit him, knocking him off balance.

Harry stumbles, momentarily disoriented. The snitch disappears from his view as he struggles to regain control of his broomstick.

"Hey!" he protests, glaring at Honey. "That was uncalled for!"

Despite his words, Harry cannot deny that Honey's tactics were clever. He will need to be extra vigilant if he wants to win this match.

"Oh, I think it was totally completely called for,"she boasts as she shows him the snitch in her hand.

Harry's jaw drops as he sees the snitch in Honey's hand, his initial shock turning to delight.

"Amazing!"he exclaims,"You should be a seeker. You're wasted as a beater, um... not that you're not a terrific beater as well,he hastily amends."

Even though he lost, he cannot help but feel happy being able to spend time with Honey.

"I'll make sure to watch out for your tricks next time, Malfoy!" He teases. "I'm not use to carrying a bat while I'm seeking."

The two land their brooms and walk hand in hand as they return the balls back to the Quidditch trunk.

"I've really enjoyed this, Honey. I've missed you so much," Harry confesses. "I stayed away like you asked me too."

Hearing Harry's confession, Honey feels her heart flutter. She had not expected him to admit such feelings so openly. She stops walking and turns to face him, her grip tightening around his hand.

"I know I told you to stay away..." she starts, her voice trembling slightly... but that was before..."

Before she realized her true feelings for Harry.

"Before... Draco and I came to an understanding, "she admits shyly.

Harry looks surprised but pleased. "Really? That's great news."

He takes a step closer to Honey, his hand gently cradling her cheek.

"And what about us?" he asks softly, "Have we come to an understanding too?" His green eyes search hers, hoping for the answer he desires.

"Well... That depends on how often you want to lose to me in Quidditch," she says matter-of-factly.

Harry chuckles, shaking his head." As often as necessary, I suppose," he teases. "But maybe there's something else I could beat you at," he continues, stepping even closer until their bodies are nearly touching. "A game of chess perhaps? Or maybe... charades?" His tone is playful yet suggestive, hinting at the deeper connection he desires between them.

Honey blushes."I don't remember charades being this intimate."

Harry leans in closer, his lips just barely brushing against Honey's earlobe as he whispers, "I'm sure we could think of ways to make it more interesting."

Honey cups his chin in her hand and turns his face towards hers. "I'd rather we play my game instead," she whispers as her lips touches his.

Caught off guard by Honey's sudden boldness, he quickly melts into the kiss. His hands move to cradle her face as he returns the passionate embrace. His mind whirls with thoughts of what could possibly be Honey's 'game'. He finds himself eagerly anticipating whatever it might entail.
