Shoto went into the family room at his father's request. It was some sort of formal request, so he was dressed in his formal yukata.

He entered the room to find his father speaking with an old woman.

He remembered her as an old friend of the family, and also Tenshi, the hero who made Tartarus possible—who sealed the quirks of villains.

Standing next to her was the Tenshi-in-Training, Miko.

Shoto smiled, relaxing a bit. The two had been friends as kids, tho he hadn't seen her since he started at U.A.

Now that he had graduated and was about to move out, it was nice to see a familiar face.

"Hey Shoko." She came over, smiling. "Miss me?"

"Actually, yes." Shoto smiled back. "It has been awhile, Kuri."

"Only you would use my real name." Kuri sighed dramatically. "I've told you to call me Miko."

"And I've told you…Kuri is the name only I can call you."

Kuri blushed.

"Ah Shoto! You're here, we can begin."

The two went over to their guardians.

"Yes we have been discussing this for years, I'm sure you know." Grams smiled. "Your marriage."

The two adults smiled congratulations at the two of them.

"WHAT?!" Shoto burst out, almost setting fire to the rug.

Kuri grabbed his left hand. "Shoko. Leave it. I need you."

"Need…what?!" He whirled on her. "You knew about this?!"

"No." She squeezed his hand. "Not at first. They told me when my health began to decline."

Shoto began to calm. Not a Quirk Marriage then. Something was really wrong. She needed him. Deep breaths.

"So how would a marriage help you?"

"Her mother had the same problem." Grams sighed. "I know dear, that I said 'love is weakness' and now here I must eat my own words…"

"Someone tell me what is going on!"

"Miko has to fall in love and…erm…copulate…uhm…" Endeavor couldn't handle the conversation.

"I have to love and have a family. We found out that because my Quirk is clairsentiance, and runs on pure emotion, if I have too much negative emotions from sealing villains quirks, it turns to bile and poisons me. The only cure is POSITIVE emotions."

"So…you like me then."

Kuri blinked at him. "THAT's what you got out of it?"

"Yes. Answer the question."

Kuri sighed. "Yes Shoko, of course I like you."

"Then Marry Me."

Kuri blinked at him. "So direct, as usual."

"Answer me."

"Yes, of course, that's the point!"

"No. Answer me for real. As if you had an option. Because you do. You have choices." Shoto looked directly in her eyes. "You don't have to choose me because—" He pointed at the two adults. "—they say so. If you love someone else, don't be coerced."

"Dammit Shoko!" Kuri grabbed him, kissing him hard. "Jeez! I. Called. This. Meeting. I picked you. I want to marry you. But you have choice too, yknow."

"No. No one else. Just you. And…" He looked down at her again. "Just me? You're sure?"

"Don't make me kiss you again…" Kuri grumbled.

Shoto smiled, starting to relax. "I'd like that."
