""You're as easily manipulated as Deku is," Sadako sneered at her.
Krista's eyes narrowed. She let out a low hiss, feeling her nails elongate and her ears sharpen as her senses heightened. Krista was a raven. And this was her element:
The Hunt.
"Are you giving in?" Sadako taunted softly. "You remind me of another hanyou. One that you killed."
Krista hissed again, launching herself at Sadako and pinning her against the wall.
She was trying to keep Sadako occupied, just long enough to get to the remote. But her body was trembling. Krista couldn't give up her humanity-not now, not ever.
"Nothing's darker than the mind of someone who's given up. I've seen that, thanks to you."
"Oh, I know what you're trying to do," Sadako smirked. "You're trying to distract me." She tied up her black hair and grabbed a knife from the wall, her gaze cold and calculating. "What did you think all this was about, Kraehe? It was never about Inuyasha, and it was never about Deku, though he proved useful. And it's not about you, either, although you're arrogant enough to think it is."
Inuyasha? The name sparked a blinding pain in Krista's head as she fought to suppress the migraine.
"Then what is it about?" Krista asked, momentarily stunned. In that single second, Sadako struck. Krista found herself slammed against the wall, a knife pressed to her throat.
"Just because it isn't about you doesn't mean you're not going to die!" Sadako grinned viciously.
At that moment, Deku, Shoto, Bakugo, and Rachel burst through the doors of the abandoned lab.
"One step closer, and I'll kill her!" Sadako shouted, her voice filled with malice. The group froze, their eyes locked on Krista and Sadako.
Krista pressed her Goraishi to Sadako's back. "You're the one who's going to die today, you bitch!"
"Don't do it, Krista!" Deku yelled, rushing forward and tackling Sadako to the ground.
That momentary distraction was all she needed. Sadako managed to reach for her remote, pressing a button before anyone could stop her.
