"Well well well Granger come crawling back for more. It's been a while, but I'm sure I can squeeze you in." Hermione brought her hand to her face in frustration, exactly what she needed. Draco, all she wanted to do was punch him in the face. "You know if you want to add an extra person to our fun it's going to cost you more." He was laughing as he walked over to them. He grabbed Hermione and gave her a big hug.
She looked over at Sam. "Cost? Add an extra person?" He asked when she looked at him. His question made Draco laugh harder.
"Don't listen to him. He's full of shit, and likes to start drama. Look Draco I sent you an owl, you knew we were coming, so stop being an a pain. We really don't have time to fool around, maybe another day when our lives aren't about to fall off the cliff. Though I'm not to sure if Sammy would be on board for that." She smirks and winks at Draco. "Come now Draco we need to use your library." She walks out of the room and leave the two guys alone.
"Draco Malfoy." He looked over at Sam and reached his hand out for Sam to shake. "She's so bossy. Come lets go find where she ran off to. She knows this place almost as well as I do." He pointed to the way out then started to walk away.
"Wait you said your name was "Malfoy?" As in the Malfoy that bullied her in school?" Sam just stayed where he was, just stood starting at Draco. Hearing how this Malfoy person treated her in school had him mad.
"Oh she's spoken about me. Didn't think talking about old flames is what you do with your new spouses, but yes I'm that Malfoy. Though it was many years ago and since then I made admins so to say." Draco smirked, walked to the door, and waited for Sam to follow. Sam thought over what Draco said, and thought he would ask Hermione later, then moved towards the door. They both walked out and down the hall. "I could show you around, but knowing Hermione how I do, I don't think you would be safe walking around my place. So lets just go to the library."
"Why wouldn't I be safe walking around your place?" Sam stopped walking and looked around the hall, worried.
Draco stopped and turned around when he stopped hearing Sam's footsteps. "Well there are a lot of dark objects and dark places in my house. If you are anything but a pure blood they could really hurt you or worse. And as I said, knowing Hermione you are not a pure blood. Seeing as her and you are pretty close we wouldn't want anything to happen to you." Draco smirked and turned back around and started to walk down the hall again.
When they got to the library, the only way they knew Hermione was there already was because there was a pile of books sitting on the table next to her bag. Sam walked over and pulled a few books from the pile and started to help her read through them. He found out that some of the books he was not allowed to touch. One of the books he tried to pick up and open, ended up snapping closed and almost got his fingers. Hermione left a pile of books by him of what she deemed as "safe".
Sam put another book down and rubbed the back of his neck. They had been at this for hours. They found a few more interesting facts but not how to kill it. He looked around and noticed that Malfoy was no where to be seen, and saw that Hermione was by the window leaning against it. He picked up another book and walked over to her with it.
"Hermione why don't we take a bit of a break. We have been at this for hours, and haven't found much more then we already knew." He sat across her on the window sill. "We should get some food and come back with a fresh mind."
"I'm sure Draco went off some place to get some poor little house elf to make some food to bring up to us."
"House elves, I remember reading about them in one of your books. You wrote about how some families keep them as slaves. Does Draco keep them here as slaves?"
Hermione didn't have time to answer. "I have three house elves living here, and no I do not keep them as slaves." Draco popped out of nowhere and scared them both. "They are all paid and clothed. One of them will bring up some food soon. I'm guessing that you guys did not find what you were looking for." He looked over at the pile of book stacked up beside Hermione then over at the table that was littered with books and papers.
Hermione closed the book she had and laid it down on the pile. She was getting a headache. "No, we found a few books on the creature with the same information we already knew. Not much more then that through."
"Well if you would tell me the creature you are looking for maybe my mother would have a book or two in her private collection. They are books that only I could look through though. They are spelled so only pure bloods can touch." Once Draco was told what he needed to know he left to see what he could find.
Sam and Hermione looked through more books in their piles as they waited. Once the food came they both put the books they looked through away and sat down to eat. There was so much food the Weasley's could eat for a year. Well maybe not that much, but it was too much for just the two of them.
They finished eating and walked back over to the window to sit and wait for Draco to come back, they looked out over the huge garden below.
"You know Hermione, we never did talk about what happened in your library." He sat watching her face as he talked.
She was looking at all the different flowers, and wondered if Narcissa planted them. She looked over at him. "What did you want to talk about?"
"About what happened between us. How did you like it? Would you want to do it again? Come here." He said as he moved his legs so she could move over and sit between them. "When we were at Hogwarts," He leaned closer to ear her, and whispered. "All i could think about was bending you over the table." He saw a blush grow on her cheeks and he moved to kiss one.
Just like before, as Hermione opened her mouth to reply back. Draco popped out of nowhere. "So you guys are hooking up, just not dating."
Hermione ignored what Draco said. "Did you mom have anything that could help us?"
Draco just rolled his eyes. "I found a book that had information on it yes. I made copies for you to read as i couldn't give you the book." They found some of the same things they already knew. Silver bullets would stun it, and that someone has it's heart and is controlling it. They did find out that they had to find out who was controlling it and then stab it in the heart to kill it. They figured they had to use a few spells to immobilize it and change how they thought so they were tricked it into telling them who had their heart.
