Chapter 315

Hiccups POV:

It's been a month since I began training with Chiaki and since the wolf walkers received their own weapons and since then a lot has happened, starting with Chiaki discovering she was pregnant. I was shocked to say the least but once the shock wore off, I could not have been happy and made that clear by lifting her up and spinning her around the entrance hall as she laughed. We immediately began discussing things and went to tell everyone else about it, calling a full family meeting and as expected, everyone except the toddlers were happy to hear it since they didn't understand what was going on. Other than that, it'd been nothing but preparing for, winter which would be arriving on New Berk in two weeks and with it came a lot of work for me and my father since we were both needed all over the island, ensuring everyone had enough blankets, firewood and food so they wouldn't freeze or starve to death when snowed in. It was because of this I'd been out at the crack of dawn with Toothless every morning, leading a few sharp class dragons, into the woods, to cut wood for the fires. After that I'd go home and have a morning bath to help relax my nerves while Toothless went to get his own breakfast and to prepare for his own duties.

Not everything was an easy fix like this though, with the chilling winds I'd received multiple requests for alpaca fur clothing and blankets since they're known to be so warm. It was because of this I'd had to continuously visit the Mayans and the people of El Dorado, to purchase more fur from their alpaca's since I couldn't get enough from my own. Fortunately, they were more than happy to exchange the fur for a couple of gronkle iron weapons and a few favors, helping with a few chores and hunts. I was fine with it since it gave me a chance to see some old friends including the leaders who rule the cities and who I hadn't seen in a while with how busy things had been for me. Along with that headache, I had to deal with the constant attempts by numerous people trying to sneak onto my island but they never made it past my automatons and the alpha's influence made it so they couldn't fly across either. Still, I had to be firm with the people and remind them that although my island allowed me to enjoy the warmth of a tropical land, it was still a dangerous place for those who didn't know the plants and animals that were on it.

The only peace I got these days were when I was out training or spending time with my family since I couldn't walk through the village without dealing with peoples requests to let them spend time on my island or fly on Toothless without someone flying up to talk to us about it. Honestly, at times I felt like a prisoner on my own island since I could leave it without someone intercepting me on my way somewhere, even when I'm with my family. It was crazy how I couldn't seem to get a moments peace on New Berk, and I already had enough work in my home as it is with sorting the profits from both my business' that also allowed me to gather information on bandit groups and their plans so they could be stopped in advance by either me or the guards. Seriously though, the businesses were doing better than ever since my restaurant had customers lining up for a nice hot meal while the inn run by Orthopedix had gotten a lot of customers who heard about them from the travelers and traders on their way to Lutetia. In the case of my business with Orthopedix, I had to spend an hour each collection day sorting through the various types of currency and put them each in the right section of the money section of my vault.

Another problem that had arisen is the traders had been having a tough time getting to New Berk with the rough winds making the oceans more treacherous since the waves now had pieces of ice floating in them and the strong winds carrying cold air made it harder for traders to navigate since they'd also have to focus on keeping warm. All this naturally made them easy targets for pirates and bandits who had ships that they would use to take advantage of the cold weather which often slowed ships down, making them easy targets. Fortunately for me, the bad weather couldn't slow my ship down in the least which made it easy to catch up to the bandit ships and pull them in, but there were times that I liked to board their ship and deal with the bandits myself or send out my children as tests and to keep up their training.

Speaking of my kids, Hunter has shown good growth in his fighting abilities and had come a long way from the boy he was when I found him and had considered sending him in to attack ships alone with just Havard at his side. It was because of this that his skill in wielding his axes had made him a powerful opponent to any trained foe and it was because of this, his axes went through their first enhancement. When the axes were enhanced, the chain that linked them was severed in the middle and the chains now wrap around Brants lower arms and extend when he swings them by the chains and when he sheathes the axes on his back, the chains move up to wrap around his shoulders. This made duel wielding them a lot easier when he swings them against foes and when he made them blunt, they could now hit with enough force to shatter boulders while also being able to ignite with flames. These flames wouldn't burn Hunter and if he willed it, they would not burn his targets either and when he wanted them to burn, they could melt through rock and spread like a wildfire. He'd spent hours training under me and my ninja to properly wield them and I admit, he's come a long way with them, and I was happy with him, but Havard wasn't since he didn't have as much time with Hunter as he originally did.

Speaking of Havard, he surprised everyone when he went through his own transformation to show he had fully joined the pack, but his transformation was a lot different to the others. While my wolves were originally covered in ice after surrounding Adal, Havard was covered in flames before being coated in ice beneath the light of the full moon while standing before Adal with his pups surrounding him while the pack circled around him in a sprint. When Adal let out a mighty howl that seemed to echo across the entire island before the ice shattered from within, freeing Havard who let out a powerful howl. When the mist cleared, he'd grown to the size of the other wolves, but he had a blazing fire streak going down his back from the front of his head above the eyes and down to the base of his tail. We didn't know what it meant at first until Mizore walked up to him and they gently nuzzled showing that they were together as mates surprisingly since I figured it'd be longer before they got together with any other wolf, but I was happy for them.

Now though, it was afternoon, and I was above the village on Toothless with the two of us doing a wood delivery to some of the people who preferred to live a little farther away from the village and tend to their fields. I smiled as we dropped off the last batch of wood before I rubbed Toothless' head and said.

"Well bud, that's the last delivery of the day done so what do you say we enjoy a little time in the sky on our own before my dad decides to call us in for more work." Toothless crooned and nodded. "I knew you'd agree."

With that said we took off away from the island so we could do a fly over the ocean and have some fun like we always do when free flying until we were high up in the clouds. For a few moments, all the problems we'd been facing with winter preparations had been forgotten before my eyes landed on the village and I smiled seeing how people were setting up pumpkins and decorations for tonight's dreadfall celebration. I smiled as I watched kids run around and have a good time while the adults set up banners, carved into pumpkins, prepared tables, got decorations ready and more since we all wanted to make this celebration one to remember. The reason is this would be the first dreadfall celebration on New Berk and to be honest, there'd been some strong winds blowing in cold wind so everyone feared that we'd be snowed in for weeks and this would give us something to remember and talk about with a smile. I closed my eyes and lay back in the saddle as I took a moment to just enjoy the sound of the village activities as the wind blew past me and I let out a sigh of content. Unfortunately, my peace was ruined by the sound of a zippleback dragons roars mixed with the all too familiar screams of Ruffnut and Tuffnut alongside Fishlegs and Meatlug. Wanting to know what was happening, I sat up as I opened my eyes before turning to see them flying towards the village in a hurry. I rolled my eyes knowing that at the speed they were going, they were in for a rough landing but on closer inspection, I saw looks of terror on the faces of both the dragons and their riders.

This is what made me worry since scaring Fishlegs and Meatlug was easy but to scare the twins who literally threw themselves into danger on a near weekly basis and their dragon, meant something big had happened and it was not good. Things only got worse when they came in for a landing at high speeds resulting in Meatlug crashing through the roof of a hut where I'm guessing the owners were by the sounds of the screams within. Barf and Belch didn't cause less problems since they crashed into one of the poles holding a banner with a head on either side which pushed the banner and pole down onto a ladder that was up against a hut, causing it to fall with the Viking on top of it falling into a wagon. This caused the wagon to go rolling down the hill and crash into Gobbers forge which I'm guessing Gobber wasn't too happy about since I could hear his cries of outrage from up in the sky as he yelled at the man that if he wanted to make an order than to wait outside the window. I ignored that and focused on Fishlegs and the twins who had dismounted their dragons and were now screaming as if they'd gone mad, gaining the attention of everyone including my father who was not happy about the damage. I steered Toothless down, so we landed outside the crowd before I dismounted and rubbed Toothless' head as I said.

"Thanks bud." I then turned to the crowd. "Now let's see what's going on." We walked through the crowd with everyone parting for us until we reached the source of the trouble to see Fishlegs and the twins babbling like mad men while my father rubbed his forehead, which I'm guessing was him trying to soothe his growing headache until I walked up. "Alright, what's happened that's making you three babble and scream loud enough to wake the dead?" They turned to me before Fishlegs grabbed my coat and shook me as he cried out.

"WE DID IT HICCUP!" I raised an eyebrow. "WE DIDN'T MEAN TO BUT WE DID IT!" I pushed him off.

"What did you do?"

"WE DISTURBED THEM AND NOW THEY'RE COMING TO THE VILLAGE!" Tuffnut then cried.

"We didn't mean to wreck their place, but they still tried to kill us." Ruffnut then cried.

"They kept getting back up no matter how many times we knocked them down, so we ran." They then kept babbling like this, speaking over each other which made it hard to understand what they were saying and after I saw that they weren't going to stop anytime soon, I grabbed the twins' mouths with my hands and used my third arm sash on Fishlegs.

"Now, I'm going to free your mouths and when I do, Ruffnut and Tuffnut, you two are going to keep your mouths shut while Fishlegs explains to me what's gotten the three of you so scared." I removed my sash from Fishlegs mouth. "Now tell me what's going on."

"The twins were blowing things up around the mountains away from the village and ended up finding an entrance to a large cave that had been sealed up." I nodded. "We decided to check it out and found it was a full-on tunnel that led to a large cavern which was full of old stuff and well, the owners weren't too happy to see us there." I raised an eyebrow.

"There are other people on the island besides us?" He shook his head.

"No, they aren't people, not anymore." This confused me and by the looks of things, I wasn't the only one who was confused.

"What do you mean by not anymore?" I could see the fear in his eyes before he cried.

"THE CAVERN WAS FULL OF DRAUGR!" Everything went silent for a few moments before someone burst out laughing which quickly spread among the crowd as someone cried out.

"THOSE ARE JUST OLD STORIES TOLD TO SCARE CHILDREN!" I gave Toothless a hand signal and he sent out a plasma blast silencing everyone.

"Where did you find the cave full of draugr?" Before he could reply, Gobber walked up, saying.

"You're not really believing this are you lad?" I turned to him.

"Gobber, if there's one thing my journeys have taught me, it's don't take any sort of warning lightly and besides, I can use the automatons I've got set up around the island to confirm their story."

He nodded before Fishlegs told me where they found the cave and I checked the area through the eyes of my automatons and my eyes widened when I saw actual draugr's surrounding a cave while others were wondering the forest, most likely looking for people. Each of them had a weapon in hand or imbedded in some part of their body which I'm guessing may have been what killed them, but I could easily tell they had not been alive for a long time. Their skin looked to be dried out, they were thinner than I was when I was still Hiccup the useless to the point I could only describe them as bones wrapped in skin, their equipment was rusted and old, their clothing and armor was shredded, rusted and full of holes but the thing that told me that they were truly the undead were their eyes which were filled with green flames. I remembered the stories I was told about draugr's when I was young how they were often so terrifying nobody could fight them out of fear of their appearance or becoming draugr themselves. The question is what kind of people were these draugr since there were those who came back because they had unfinished business and those who were so greedy that they refused to leave their treasures behind and guard them for all eternity. I took a breath and turned to my dad who raised an eyebrow as if asking me what I saw before I answered.

"They're right, there are draugr and a lot of them by the looks of it." He stared at me.

"You're not joking?" I shook my head.

"I wish I was." I let my tone show that I was dead serious. "I'm not sure why these draugr are here but I know we need to deal with them before they attack anyone." He nodded as I turned to Toothless and mounted him.

"Anything we can do." I shook my head.

"No, I've had dealings with the undead before so it's best you leave this to me." I tested Toothless' fin. "For now, get the guards to the edge of the forest along with all the other riders and evacuate the people to my Arabian market in case something happens and the draugr break through and attack the village." He nodded before the kids ran out of the crowd.

"Is there anything we can do dad?"

"Help evacuate the village and warn your mothers." They nodded and took off. "Now let's go bud." We took off into the sky, ready to take on the latest threat to New Berk.

10 minutes later

Toothless and I were fast approaching the cave where the draugr were found and we were both ready for a fight with Toothless dawning his armor and me ready to release any one of my weapons to deal with the undead. As we approached the cave, I gave Toothless a pat on the neck as I said.

"Let's do this bud." He growled and nodded but right before we could begin going in for a landing, Toothless twisted to the side just as some arrows flew at us. "Good work bud, didn't see those coming." I looked down to see where the arrows came to and saw five draugr armed with old bows pointed right at us and old ratty leather quivers on their backs filled with arrows. "Alright bud, let's show these undead who they're dealing with." Toothless growled and began to glow. "Ready Toothless?" He growled nodded before we went into a dive and pulled right up before, we hit the ground. "NOW, BARREL ROLL AND MULTIPLE BLAST!"

Toothless quickly spun and let out four large plasma blasts at the draugr who didn't get the chance to dodge the blasts which sent them flying back while burning. I smiled as I watched their corpses burn while the white flame within their eye sockets died before we landed, and I released my black tapou lava blade hoping it might help kill these monsters with its heat since the best way to kill a draugr is to burn them. It wasn't a minute after we landed that other draugr began charging at us, but we still charged right at them, with me waving my blade around to throw lava at them. A few of them began to burn when the lava struck their bodies, but while some of them were soon covered in flames and dropped to the ground, others were smart enough to extinguish the flames and continued their charge. When they got close to us though, Toothless would either shoot a plasma blast or swipe his tail at them, sending them flying and when they were down, I'd hit them with a bola to make sure they couldn't get back up. After they were either dead from flames or tied up with my bolas, I dismounted Toothless and quickly ended the tied-up ones with a quick burning stab to the head or decapitation.

I stared at the cave where they'd all supposedly come from and took a breath before pulling my blade back into my prosthetic since the cave was narrow as was the inside. I figured it would be better to stick with the equipment I wore like my blade scarf or noe mask since they were more fit for fighting in narrow paths. I mounted Toothless and gave him a rub on the head making him croon before we slowly walked into the cave entrance and found a tunnel within. Toothless didn't even get into the cave fully before two draugrs, armed with axes jumped down from either side of us but I quickly grabbed their heads and crushed them, killing the undead and threw them back against their bodies against the wall. Toothless growled and looked back at me crooning but I smiled down at him and said.

"Don't let down your guard Toothless." I looked ahead. "These draugr aren't done yet." He growled and nodded before we continued down the tunnel.

15 minutes later

Fifteen minutes have passed since we entered the tunnel and since then we've encountered a lot of draugr, armed with various types of Viking weapons. They never lasted long though since I'd either crush their skulls, cut their heads off using my rotating blade, have Toothless blast them or slam them into the wall with his tail or head. Now we'd just entered the main cavern and what I saw shocked me since in the cavern was a large pool of water with an old ship floating on the edge of it. What shocked me though was the sail since on that sail was a seal of Berk that I had only read about in books since it was the seal of one of our first chiefs and the one, I was originally named after. It was the seal of Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the first who had taken a small fleet of trained warriors to try and cleanse the waters of Berk of a large group of pirates who'd been attacking the fishing boats and traders centuries ago, but neither he and his men or the pirates were ever seen or heard from again. I didn't get much time to think about it though before the sound of stone breaking caught my attention and I looked at the walls and saw multiple draugr climbing out of the wall. I dismounted Toothless and brought out my reapers scythe and readied it as I said.

"Toothless, take the high ground and watch my back from above." He crooned in concern, but I smiled. "Don't worry bud, I've got this." He growled and nodded before flying up just as the draugr charged at me as I charged at the nearest one with my scythe held high and ready to fight.

Nobodies POV:

Hiccup quickly swung it in a downward swipe at their heads. Their heads went flying before he slammed the bottom of the staff into the ground and allowed the black fog to flow out of it. The fog quickly crawled across the ground and seeped into the bodies of the coming draugr before they let out screams of pain as they were burned from the inside by the hot fog. When Hiccup pulled the bottom of the staff off the floor, the bodies fell to the ground right before the others came at Hiccup just as some archers on that were standing on the caverns upper ledge fired their arrows at him. Before they could get near their target though, Toothless launched a plasma blast at the arrows, destroying them before he launched a blast at the wall above the archers, brining it down on them, crushing them.

Hiccup didn't pay any attention to this though as he was quickly being overwhelmed by the undead forces, since no matter how many he took down, more seemed to take their place. It was as he threw a hand full of orange Loki balls at a couple of coming draugr that was coming at him, throwing them back at that a loud roar that shook the entire cavern came from the ship and all the draugr stopped. Hiccup signaled Toothless to come back down to my side and he quickly flew down to his rider's side and watched as the draugr all stepped aside before the gangplank dropped from the ship. When the plank dropped, the draugr began slamming their weapons against the ground in unison right as the ship began to shake and the reason was made clear a moment later. A draugr the size of Stoick walked onto the gangplank and slowly made its way down, allowing Hiccup the chance to examine it, unlike the other draugr since they charged before he got the chance to examine them.

This draugr was the size of Stoick with a messy beard that was filled with dust and dirt, hair that looked as if it had been hit by lightning, eyes glowing with green flames, a torn up grey tunic with black fur vest, chain mail covering grey pants, a silver belt with the ancient Berk seal, muscles like Hiccups and a sword that had a blade with ancient Norse runes carved into it and an old rusted shield with a monstrous nightmare breathing flames on it. The draugr stared at Hiccup before raising its sword and pointed it at Hiccup as if it was trying to tell him something but Hiccup understood what it meant and that it was challenging him to a one-on-one battle. Hiccup knew from the stories he'd been told of his ancestor; he would often challenge his foes who were leaders of groups to one-on-one battles to show the enemy forces that he was no weakling. Hiccup gestured Toothless to stay back before he pointed his scythe at him and nodded, accepting the challenge and pulled his scythe back, nodding to his ancestor to signal him that he was ready.

The draugr charged at Hiccup with its sword raised who charged at him and raised the scythe just as the draugr swung his sword down at him, blocking the blade with pole of his scythe. He then gave a hard shove back, pushing the sword back before he delivered a hard kick into the gut of his ancestor, causing a flaming bull to burst from his back and drag him back into the wall before he fell to the ground. The draugr didn't stay down for long before it stood back up while growling and charging at Hiccup again, swinging his sword at Hiccup with such speed and strength that the wind around it whistled while Hiccup was barely able to dodge the strikes even with all his training and in some cases, was only able to dodge by a hair. It was then the draugr was able to land a hard kick to Hiccups stomach, sending him sliding back as the air was knocked right out of him from the force of the kick.

Unfortunately, while Hiccup recovered from the blow the draugr decided to enhance its strength and let out a growl as green flames flowed through its bodies, making it grow to twice its original size. When he stopped growing, he let out a roar that shook the cavern walls just as Hiccup recovered from the strike and stared in shock as he remembered the stories about how draugr were able to grow when they felt threatened by a foe, they felt the need. Hiccup knew things had just got a lot more difficult since the draugr's sword may have been the same size, but his fists were big enough to crush his head like a grape. It was proven his strength had also grown when the draugr slammed his fist down against the ground and shook the ground before it charged at Hiccup who quickly tuck and rolled out of the way and readied his scythe.

The draugr swung its sword at Hiccup who quickly leaned back to avoid the blade before he quickly swung his scythe at the draugr's leg, slicing its knee but the draugr didn't give anything to show it was affected other than a small grunt before swinging his fist back at Hiccup. Hiccup blocked the blow with the staff of his scythe but still went sliding back on his heels as he growled in annoyance wondering how he was going to take his ancestor down. He knew the best way to kill a draugr is to either drag it back into its grave or sever its head from its body but the guy was never given a proper burial so Hiccup knew his only option was to take his head off which was not going to be easy since even with his scythe he couldn't reach it. He knew that if he was to take down his ancestor, he'd need to first bring his ancestor down before he smiled knowing just how to make his ancestor kneel to him.

He had his eyepatch unravel to expose the eye of the dragon before flames blazed on the edges of the eye as five blazing discs formed around him. A second later, flaming spear heads launched from the discs with chains holding them as they flew right at the draugr, piercing its upper arms, thighs and chest, going right through them and twisting when they went through the other side, anchoring them. The draugr roared in pain before Hiccup had the chains begin to return to the discs, dragging the draugr down in the process and bringing it to its hands and knees. As soon as the draugr was on its hands and knees, Hiccup had the spear heads pull out fully and return to the discs, making the draugr roar in pain. I didn't take long to recover though as it slowly sat up into kneeling position which Hiccup took as an opportunity and cried.

"THIS ENDS NOW!" He swung his scythe right at his ancestor's head, decapitating him and allowing the head to fall to the ground and roll to Hiccups feet who just looked down at it. "Maybe now you'll find peace." Toothless ran up to Hiccup crooning and making his rider smile. "I'm fine bud." He then looked around. "Now we just need to deal with the remaining draugr."

As soon as the words left his mouth, the bodies of the draugr both those that were defeated and still standing burst into green flames before collapsing to the ground and burning until only the skeletons remained. Before Hiccup could do anything else, the flames slowly floated up and took the form of humans and slowly formed features to show what they all looked like when they were still alive. Hiccup turned to the one that was his ancestor and saw a large man with less muscle than his father, a short beard covering a strong jaw and long hair that went down his back in a ponytail. He stared at Hiccup for a moment before he gave him a smile and nod before he slowly dissipated into nothingness while Hiccup and Toothless watched as the surrounding spirits did the same. Once that was done, Hiccup turned to Toothless before he shrugged and said.

"Well to be fair, this isn't the strangest thing that's ever happened to us." Toothless just rolled his eyes and nodded knowing what his rider just said was true. "So, want to check out the old ship for clues on how the ship and my ancestor ended up here?" Toothless just turned around and began to walk towards the entrance. "Come on bud, it's a part of my family history." He just growled and turned back to me and let out a huff before walking back to Hiccup who smiled. "Knew you'd be behind me on this." He just huffed and followed his rider onto the ship.

Nightfall

Hiccups POV:

It's been hours since Toothless and I took on the draugr's that were being led by the one that was once my ancestor, and that time had been spent figuring out how their ship got trapped in the cavern in the first place. The lower deck didn't hold any clues, but it did hold a large amount of gold, jewels and statues that I assumed was the treasure that once belonged to the pirates they went to hunt down. What was more valuable to me though was what I found in the commanders' quarters since it was there that I found answers as to what happened in the form of my ancestor's journal. It was there that I discovered that they had been successful in defeating the pirates, sinking their ships and stealing their treasure but on the way back to Berk, they were caught in a massive storm that threw them off course and sunk all their ships but one. When they found dry land, it was on a volcanic island where they found cave on a mountainside which they sailed into before the storm caused a cave in which left them all trapped for all eternity. It wasn't that hard to figure out that this was the cave they were trapped in and centuries ago, the island must've been just above sea level and been brought up by the volcanic activity eventually forming the island which we were now on.

After that, I went about gathering all their remains including those of my ancestor before I brought out my own ship and pulled their ship in, placing it in a bottle and then heading back to the village to tell everyone what happened. My dad agreed with me on giving our ancestors a proper send off to the halls of Valhalla on their own ship and found volunteers to set things up while I freed the ship from its bottle. Once everything was set up, I took my ancestors belt buckle since it was rightfully mine as it was meant to be handed down from chief to heir, but he never got the chance to give it to his heir but now I could give it to Hunter when the time came. As for the treasure, I put it in Berks treasury since it's what my ancestor wanted but his journal would remain in my private room alongside the belt buckle as a reminder of my heritage and my ancestors' heroics.

Now though, I was on a ship that had five ships on either side of it, but with me on this ship was my family, including my parents with each of us holding a bow that had a flaming arrow loaded as we watched my ancestors ship slowly float away. My dad gave the final words for the sendoff before he let the first arrow fly towards my ancestor's ship and we all followed afterwards, setting fire to it while we all watched it slowly sink out of sight. I sighed and whispered.

"I'll meet you again one day, but it'll be in the halls of Valhalla."

With that said we turned the ship around and began sailing back so we could begin the dreadfall festival which was said to be a way to honor our dead, but I always just figured it was just a way to have one last good time before we were stuck inside during the winter. I knew the kids certainly loved it with all the games, food, stories and other things the festival offered for everyone to enjoy, and I knew my own kids were going to enjoy it. I sighed as we docked knowing I couldn't focus on the adventure I just completed since as the future chief, I needed to be present at all festivals to ensure everything was running smoothly and to enjoy things myself. Along with all this, my dad wanted me and all the other dragon riders to put on a show in the sky to start things off and we'd even dressed up or in my case painted our dragons in spooky outfits for the big event. I took a breath knowing that I needed to focus on the people who were alive, and not those who were now no longer with us thanks to me putting them to rest. With this in mind, I put all thoughts of my ancestor aside and got on with my evening, knowing that this I not a dreadfall any of us would forget.

4 hours later

It's been four hours since the festival began and that time had been spent having fun, breaking up fights, playing the games, enjoying the food, creating a few illusions to scare people for fun since they knew it couldn't hurt them and spending a bit of time up in the air performing for the people. It was a good night which I knew my kids definitely enjoyed if the big smiles on they had on their faces when I checked up on them was anything to go by. Now though, I was in my private room and looking at the belt that once belonged to my ancestor and knew that with it now back, my dad would probably want me to wear it when our allies visited us after the winter ended. We often got visitors to see each other and judge how hard the tribes had been hit during the winter so we could then trade supplies and help each other out of any tough situations while also using it as an opportunity to renew peace treaties.

I sighed and shook my head knowing that these next few months were going to be very busy for me with winter requiring a lot of attention with all the problems it brought followed by a spring where I'd have to help my dad deal with our allies. Allies who were no doubt going to be big headaches since they'd want a full tour of New Berk, an explanation as to how my island moved, possibly a tour, possibly try to convince me to marry off one of my kids to theirs and more. I'd already received multiple requests in the form of written letters sent with contracts and also lists of all the benefits that would come from our children marrying and all the good things about the ones they want my kids to marry. These contracts normally had names and pictures to help me picture what my grandkids would look like, but I'd always use my golden falcons to see what they looked like and half the time, they looked nothing like their picture and often the opposite of how they were described. I knew that I had a full winter to mentally prepare both myself and my family for the headaches that were to come with the great thaw but for now, I needed to get to bed and enjoy a quiet evening with my wives and with this in mind, I went to bed.

AN: And another Halloween special done and I hope you will all remember to be kind with your reviews and have a happy Halloween.
