Cassie's alarm went off far too early for her liking. She groaned as she rolled out of bed, rubbing her eyes as she prepared for yet another opening shift. The thought of facing another long day at work made her want to crawl back under the covers, but she had responsibilities. Rent wasn't going to pay itself.

Jetfire's voice drifted through their bond, warm but with a hint of disapproval. "Sweetspark, you're pushing yourself too hard. You don't need to work so much."

Cassie smiled as she slipped on her work uniform. "I know, Jet. But you're going to have to deal with it. I've still got things to handle on Earth."

Jetfire sighed but relented. "Just promise me you won't overdo it. You know I hate when you're in pain from those injuries."

Cassie rolled her eyes playfully. "I promise, I'll be careful. Now stop worrying so much. You're like a helicopter parent."

"Helicopter parent?" Jetfire asked, confused by the Earth term.

Cassie chuckled, shaking her head. "Never mind. I'll explain it later."

The rest of her shift passed in a blur. Cassie kept herself busy with the day-to-day tasks of her job, but her thoughts were never far from the Autobot base and her future on Cybertron. The reality of her new life was still sinking in, and while she was excited, there was also a part of her that was nervous. A whole new planet, a whole new life—it was a lot to take in.

When her shift finally ended, she felt a wave of relief wash over her. She headed back to the base, eager to see her friends and relax. As soon as she stepped inside, she was greeted by a pair of long, slender legs. Not paying attention, Cassie accidentally bumped into them, stumbling back slightly.

She looked up to apologize, but her words caught in her throat when she saw who the legs belonged to. A sleek, blue Autobot stood before her, his optics glowing softly as he gazed down at her. Cassie didn't recognize him immediately, but something about him exuded a cool, collected energy.

"You alright?" the Autobot asked, his voice calm and almost indifferent.

Cassie blinked, taking in the sight of him. "Uh... yeah, I'm fine. Sorry about that," she said sheepishly.

The Autobot gave a small nod before straightening up. "Be careful where you're walking."

Cassie's curiosity got the better of her. She couldn't help but notice the large rifle the Autobot was holding. It looked sleek and powerful, and she couldn't resist asking about it. "That's a cool-looking rifle. What kind is it?"

The Autobot, whom she now realized must be Blurr, chuckled softly and crouched down to her level, showing off the weapon. "This is no ordinary rifle. It's custom-made. Precision and speed are key."

Cassie's eyes lit up as she examined the rifle closely. She was always fascinated by the Autobots' weapons and technology. "That's so awesome! You must be a really skilled fighter."

Blurr's optics gleamed with a hint of pride. "I manage," he said with a smirk.

Cassie felt a sudden rush of excitement. "Hey, can I call you my big brother?" she blurted out, grinning from ear to ear.

Blurr rolled his optics playfully. "Big brother, huh? Sure, if you can keep up with me."

Cassie laughed. "Challenge accepted!"

Blurr chuckled again, his usual stoic demeanor breaking slightly. He liked Cassie's energy and enthusiasm. She had a way of making people feel lighter, and though he didn't show it often, he appreciated that.

As they parted ways, Cassie headed back to her quarters, her heart still racing from the excitement of meeting Blurr. She immediately reached out to Jetfire through their bond, eager to tell him everything that had happened.

"Jetfire! You won't believe it. I met Blurr today, and he's so cool! He showed me how his rifle works and even let me ask a bunch of questions. He's kind of like a big brother now."

Jetfire's voice came through, warm but with a hint of amusement. "A big brother, huh? I hope you're not replacing me with him."

Cassie laughed. "Of course not, Jet. You'll always be my number one."

Jetfire chuckled softly. "Good to know. But I'm glad you're making friends. I've got some news for you, too."

Cassie perked up, her curiosity piqued. "Oh? What is it?"

"I'm on my way to Earth, but it's going to take several days to get there. I've still got some duties to finish up on Cybertron, but I'm making my way to you as fast as I can."

Cassie's heart leaped in her chest, her excitement bubbling over. "You're really coming?!"

"Yes, sweetspark. I'll be there soon. I've waited long enough to be with you."

Cassie couldn't contain her joy, a wide grin spreading across her face. "I can't wait, Jetfire! I'm so excited!"

"Just a little more patience, Cassie. I'll be there soon." His voice was filled with affection, making her feel safe and loved even across the vast distance.

As they talked about the future, Cassie's thoughts wandered back to everything she had been through so far. The challenges, the battles, the new friendships. And now, with Jetfire coming to Earth, it felt like everything was falling into place.

Later that evening, after their conversation, Cassie lay in bed, her mind buzzing with anticipation. She was about to embark on a new chapter of her life—one filled with adventure, love, and endless possibilities. And with Jetfire by her side, she knew she could face whatever the universe threw at her.

For now, all she had to do was wait for the moment when they could finally be together, and soon, that moment would come.
