This is it, the last chapter.

There's been a lot of positive comments, views, hits, and reads in just a sort amount of time when I first made the prologue back in late September this year of 2024. And now, it's coming to an end.

It's time to wrap this story up.

Epilogue

It's been a few months since Takuya and his friends journeyed to the Digital World, it was challenging, but they overcame many obstacles that tested their strengths, weaknesses, endurance, faith, and trust.

The journey not only helped them grow and become a better version of themselves than they thought they knew before, but they saved two worlds from doom and destruction from a revived evil angel digimon.

During their time in the Digital World, they discovered that one of Cherubimon's corrupted Legendary Warriors was a human boy who was manipulated and controlled by Cherubimon. Not only was he on the side of evil against his will, but he was also Kouji's twin brother. Koichi Kimura.

It was a slow pace, but the two lost brothers formed a strong bond over time and became inseparable. They even saved each other's lives, both from their social life and from death.

Now here in the present, each of the children is going on about their normal lives: attending school, making new friends, connecting to their families, and spend any moment together.

In the comforts of the Kanbara residences, the eldest son was in the family living room, waiting for the commercials on the TV to be over so that he and his little brother can go back to watching Kawasaki Frontale vs. Vissel Kobe on the football (soccer) national Sports channel.

Just then, the screen on the TV turned blue with a company logo shown in the center of the screen with the words in white spelling the studio's name. A name and an animal Takuya and his friends recognized months ago.

Studio Ghibli

Shinya, looking bored and frustrated, reach for the remote, but Takuya stops him without taking his eyes off from the TV. Shinya stares at his brother in confusion before turning his gaze towards the TV, wondering what got Takuya so fixated on this commercial trailer?

Once the release date appeared on the screen, Takuya waste no time to mark it down on his family's calendar. After that, Takuya rushes to his room to grab his cellphone. Hearing the rushing commotion, Yuriko stepped out of the kitchen to call out to Takuya.

Yuriko "Takuya. What's with all the running?"

Shinya "You got me, mom."

Takuya didn't answer back, as he was busy trying to call Zoe. After the second ring, Zoe answered.

Zoe "Hello?"

Takuya "Hey, Zoe."

Zoe "Takuya, Hi! It's been awhile."

Takuya "Yeah, it has been. Do you remember the promise we all made that could get together with our families?"

Zoe "How could I not forget? It was an amazing movie."

Takuya "And would you be interested in seeing it, again?"

Zoe was silent on the other line for just a second.

Zoe "No way! You're not joking?!"

Takuya "I just saw the trailer on TV a minute ago! It's going to be realest on July 20th!"

Zoe "I'll call J.P. and let him know!"

Takuya "And I'll call Kouji and Tommy, I'm pretty sure Koichi will be with Kouji."

Zoe "Let's all meet up at our secret hideout in about an hour."

Takuya "I'll have Shinya try to record the game if it goes into overt time. Goodbye. Kaze no hime."

Zoe "See you there, Il mio principe del fuoco."

The two hanged up.

Either Takuya and Zoe told their friends or parents, but they were secretly seeing each other for the past eight weeks. After the watching Spirited Away and got sent back to the Digital World, Takuya and Zoe were getting more and more closer towards each other. Their friendship grow into fondness, and fondness turned to love.

The two haven't admitted their love towards each other, they are waiting for the right moment to openly confess their feelings to each other. However, that all changed four weeks ago when the gang were out camping for three days and two nights to star gaze and to find shooting stars. The two were the only ones still awake, while the other guys were fast asleep.

It was then the two saw it, a comet flying across the night skies following a shower of meteoroids shooting pass the earth. Seeing this once in a lifetime moment is an experience they'll never forget.

Seeing this reminded them of the Digital World, the stars look like data when they sparkle and shine under the moonlight. The bearers of Fire and Wind then gaze into each other's eyes and admitted that they have been having strong feelings for them. And that they are more than just friends.

The two leaned in, and share a romantic thoughtful, caring, supporting, and loving kiss.

Coming out from that memory, Takuya was about to call Kouji when his mother knocks on his door to get his attention.

Yuriko "Takuya honey. Is everything alright?"

Takuya "Yes, mom. Hey mom, you and dad don't have anything planned on the 20th of July, right?"

Yuriko "No, I don't think so, why?"

Takuya "I was thinking if we can have a family outing on that day. My friends and I made a promise that we can get together with our families."

Yuriko smiled at her son's suggestion.

Yuriko "That sounds like a great idea, I always wanted to get to know more about them. What did you have in mind for the outing?"

Takuya "A movie, and maybe a picnic before the movie."

Yuriko "A picnic and a movie? I think we can do that."

Shinya pops his head in from the hallway.

Shinya "What's the movie?"

Takuya smile as he recalls the words Jane once said to him when he asked the almost same question.

Takuya "A movie that's right up our alley."

IT'S DOOOONNNNEEEEE!

It took a few days, but the epilogue is complete! And the whole story only took about two months and two weeks to finish it!

This might be the end, but there's always more to go on in the future, but for now, I'm going to try and focus on my Hazbin Falls Hotel and the Multiverse watching Studio Ghibli Movies.

I had to do a little searching on the soccer teams in Japan, and picked two out of the top five teams in Japan. Little fact; there are 22 soccer/football teams in Japan. I'm not a huge soccer or football fan, but I do respect the game.

Translate

"Il mio principe del fuoco" means "My fire prince" = Italian

"Kaze no hime" means "Wind princess" = Japanese

See ya later.
