It was years later, and the unlikely group was about to graduate middle school. They all had their dreams, but the sisters were being pulled headlong into their brother's hero dreams.
In Reiko's case, there was NO way she was letting Bakugo go to UA without her there to keep him outta trouble! In Kuri's case, she wanted to be there to support her brother's dreams. Even if they didn't come to fruition.
Deku was writing feverishly in his hero notebook as the teacher talked incessantly about graduation.
"Now I want everyone to carefully consider which entrance exams to take." Teacher droned on. "I think we all know that the illustrious UA is only one to be attempted by our…" He eyed Bakugo. "gifted students."
Kuri glared at Bakugo and straightened in her seat, raising her voice to be heard by everyone. "Aniki is going to try for UA ne?"
Deku jumped, dropping his pen and cursing his sister under his breath. "Y-yeah. I want to be a hero!"
"Hah?!" Bakugo whirled. "You're joking right, stupid Deku?! You ain't going to UA!" He slammed his hands on his desk.
"I don't care what you say kacchan!" Deku defended. "It's my dream! "
Kuri watched, letting her brother stand up for himself, but ready to cut in if he needed it.
Bakugo just laughed. "Your quirkless Deku! Ain't no chance! Maybe if ya take a swan dive off the roof, you'll have a quirk in yer next life!"
"Why YOU!" Kuri whirled, fire in her eyes, snarling at him. "Katsuki Bakugo you son of a bitch!" Her feathers pinned him to the wall, and, through her empathy quirk, he could actually feel how much he hurt deku. She then reached out her hand to her brother. "Izuku come on." She gathered his ashen hero notes. "I'm sure we can fix this."
Deku shook his head, tossing the ashes to the side. No sis, I don't want you going to extremes with your magic coz of me…I…I'm gonna just walk home alone…"
Kuri stared right into Bakugo's eyes. "I hate you. I'll never forgive you for this, ya hear me?! NEVER!" She started to run after her brother, then stopped, grabbing Reiko's hand. "Come on. I'm gonna need you…only you can make aniki smile again." They lifted in the air and were gone.
Meanwhile, Bakugo was shocked by the pain he just felt from Deku. The boy had constantly been a target of his bullying, but Bakugo had never thought about his feeling, or how much it must hurt…this was a wake up call.
As he got free, Bakugo realized that he had to fix this. He had to apologize and hope the damn nerd—hope that Zu—wouldn't take his horrible advice.
Bakugo broke into a run.
