"Huh?" Reimu rubs her eyes, a square black box with a screen in front of her kotatsu was NOT there before, someone must've snuck it in while she was asleep under the kotatsu.
She steps out from her kotatsu and grabs her gohei on the table, taking a step forward and tapping the TV with the end of the gohei, poking it several times..
"Weird" She didn't expect some sort of outside world technology to end up in Dreamland, the fridge makes sense but TV's? That's a whole nother level that even she herself cannot comprehend
The door to the shrine slides open suddenly, making Reimu jump
"Hi little cherry!"
"Oh its you mom.." She sighs, waving her other hand at her mom who smiled brightly at her from the doorway
Rina Iyori, the Poppy Sis that gave birth to Reimu during her reincarnation, over the past month or so she has been sending Reimu and her Shrine love gifts such as a cookie, a potted plant, and even..!
"Ma.. What even is this?"
"It's a TV! Its for you to watch freely" She shuffles in her pocket before grabbing out a remote and waving it in her hand "Here! Have this"
She slings the remote over to Reimu who catches it in her hand without an effort spent, her mom smiles even wider from this, making Reimu raise an eyebrow even more "Ma.. What are you.."
"Oh come on, cheer up little cherry!" She chuckles "Cheer up for once, here.. Try pressing the buttons"
"Ookay..?" She remains unconvinced, but decides to hold the remote in her hands and look into it, seeing several buttons and pressing on each of them.
...Ookay that didn't do much.
She decides to press on more buttons, from the numbers to the icons and even the red button..!
..oh?
She looks up, seeing the TV screen light up and showing an icon named "WD Industries", promting her to stare at the screen
"You managed to figure it out! I'll let you do your own thing, goodbye my little cherry!" And her mom promptly left the shrine.
"Figures" She sighs, walking over and sitting on the shrine before she decides to press.. uhhh she doesn't even know what each of them mean.
Coincidentally it was the buttons that lets her switch channels, it switched to a cooking show making Reimu look down on her remote.
"And now, we move on to cooking the meal for once! See how Chef Kawasaki the 387th cooks said meal!"
She blinks, before tinkering with the switch channels button.
She switched to a sports channel
She switched to another channel about nature.. Its a documentary
"The Wild Phan Phan is about to knock the Living Woods down.. With a step of it's foot it..!"
She pressed the switch channels bitton again several times, sighing..
Until it lands on a peculiar channel.
"This is the Channel PPP!"
"Oh..!" She seems intrigued, leaning forward in her kotatsu as the channel goes over their intro, showing several Waddle Dees in various clothing and styles.
One Waddle Dee in particular wore a bow tie, all while he looked at something else before nodding and clearing his throat
"Welcome channel viewers to Channel PPP! Here we have a special report coming in about a specific case involving Dynablade and the Resolvers that fixed the grand bird's current situation and end her rampages across Dreamland! Here is a report coming from... Uh.. Flaming Leo!"
The Camera turns over to the Flaming Leo, briefly showing a waddle dee with headphones and a boom mic, and another with a blue beanie, holding a cue card. They promptly leave the camera view shortly after
"Uhh like the last time I saw, there was the local shrine maiden that decided to take action and leave, she left to Peanut Plains earlier before I heard news of Dynablade being all friendly again from my cohorts later on.. That's not the job of a Shrine Maiden was it?"
"Huh, they're talking about me.." She spoke to herself, mumbling before her neutral face turns into a frown.. "I feel uncredited.."
"Alright! And now we drive off! Thanks for the answers Leah"
"Okay okay
The Group of Waddle Dees would promptly take off and hop into their car, all while the camera was recording. Interestingly enough the car itself also appeared as a waddle dee..
"Weird"
Reimu soon found herself slowly lose interest as the drive went on. Well the Report Crew would finally find themselves in Peanut Plains after a while,and they found a Noddy to interview!
It was sleepy of course
"Uhm.. Yaaaawn.. I saw the shrine maiden and like.. That pink puffball run towards the mountain.. I think they were trying to calm her down?"
"Well that's what we needed, thanks for the interview little Noddy!"
"Whew.. What a day.."
She feels her attention drifting already
"Okay, so what are your thoughts on the shrine maiden and the puffball called Kirby that went over to Dynablade to calm her down?"
"Kirby beat me up.."
The Crew would promptly step away
"Oh..! Well that's interesting! But did you try anything to get him?"
"Well.. I would like to admit I DID try to lunge at Kirby, probably because I was grumpy my house got cut in half.."
"Oooh"
The Report Crew began to step away from the Waddle Dee as fast as possible.
"Well uh, thanks for the interview..! Uh mister.."
"Jeremiah"
"Mister Jeremiah, but we have other interviewees to go to so see you then!"
The Camera Dee would eventually take off alongside the other Waddle Dees. The interviewee shouting in response
"HEY, WHAT ARE YOU TRYNA DO!?"
"And now we move on to our ad break! See you viewers!"
Reimu finally got bored, she wpuld instead look at the remote and press the red button, turning off the TV, then she would step back up to stretch.
Once she does so she looks at the fridge inside her shrine, opening it and seeing it's contents very empty.
"I need to buy stuff.." Atleast she's not broke enough to eat grass considering how the rest of Dreamlanders here were very generous enough to donate to her box tons of Star Coins.
She steps outside to open her donation box, seeing a plentiful amount of Star Coins she collects them all and places them in her pocket with a smile. She waves at the incoming visitors to greet them before she finally leaves, greeting her hired Broom Hatters one by one along the way and stare at the trees that were cut in half by Dynablade, now regrowing a branch of their own in order to grow into a full Sakura Tree again.
The Poppy Sis would walk down the stairs, breaking off any newly manifested Star Blocks that blocked the way to her shrine, the stairway would end on a pathway that led to two ways, with Reimu taking the left pathway.
Several Dreamlanders would be seen walking across this path, from Waddle Dees to Cappies and various Knights and even obscure residents like Boomers and such.
It was a bustling day in Dreamland now that the threat of Dynablade is over
"Whew.." She wipes a sweat off her forehead as she travels down the road, everyone was busy with their own stuff, she passed by a Broom Hatter that sweeped the road of any dead leaves..
"Hi Reims!"
"Oh, hi Marisa." She greets her with not much surprise, after all she's Marisa, she's bound to appear eventually
The Keke would fly down to the ground, greeting Reimu with a wave "So what's up? I heard you solved an incident with Kirby.." She would frown slightly judging by her eyes "Aw come on Reims, and you didn't even let me know!"
"Marisa you would've blasted Dynablade to kingdom come" She shook her head "And even then, you'd have to worry about raising her chicks in that matter"
"Im sorry what?"
"Marisa the whole reason for the incident was that Dynablade was looking after her chicks! Kirby definitely did good with his line of actions" And she continued on her way to the grocery store "I wouldn't even figure it out that fast either, that's how extraordinary that child is! Speaking of Kirby.."
"Eh?"
"I reccomended him to a teacher who specialized in Dreamlandian or.. English in that matter alone. Had to give up atleast a days worth of my Star Coins just for him to teach Kirby exactly our language.." She sighs "Uuugh.."
"Seems like he's quite the troublemaker for you huh?"
"Well duh! He caused me headaches during our journey up the Mountain! Damn that Invincibility Candy.."
"Invincibility Candy!? I've heard of that before, grants you a few seconds worth of invulterability.. I would love to have it on my hands" She would rub her hands together and giggled, prompting Reimu to look at her weirdly
"Marisa? You sure you're not gonna abuse that sort of stuff?"
"Of course not! Im a traditional magician at heart, we always do magic with love in mind!" She places both hands on her hips and looked happy
"Like your love-colored master spark?"
"I... Have yet to recreate that.." She slumped down.
The two girls would eventually reach the grocery store, with Marisa coming in first and Reimu second. A bunch of Dreamlanders would be seen browsing the small isles in the grocery store
"Alright! I don't have anything to buy just yet so I'll leave you to it"
"Marisa aren't you sure you're broke?" She raised an eyebrow
"I have plenty of Star Coins left Reims, it's not that hard to earn around these parts"
Reimu would shake her head, before walking towards one isle and browse through it, taking a fabric bag along the way, seeing canned food.. She grabs ahold of several before taking a bag full of chips. A different brand if anything, she needs something to snack on during nights like these.
She would go to the other isle, seeing more ingredients for foods that she can cook, she takes them too.
Once she was done she would go towards the counter and place the full fabric bag down. But not without hearing noises of a car stopping by outside
"Eh?"
"Wanya?" The Waddle Dee behind the counter says
"What?" Marisa would raise an eyebrow before turning behind her back, seeing an entire waddle dee-decorated vehicle of four waddle dees inside. Each with the same outfits that Reimu saw at that channel
"Channel.. PPP?"
"Who're they again?" Marisa turns back to Reimu.
"Bunch of Waddle Dees I saw on a TV as my mom calls it"
"Eehh? They have these here too?" She has visited Kourindou enough to know what that boxed screen is.
The Waddle Dee Reporting Crew would open the doors as they take their things out and waddle towards the door, and with it Reimu can finally see another member of the crew.
The cameradee of the crew, wearing a green cap worn backwarda with a camera on it, all while his face held a perpetually half closed eyes.
"I think they're here to interview me.."
"Oy! How come you get all the attention then..! Er.." She realized, scraching her head once she connects the dots in her mind "R-right, the Dynablade Incident.."
"Wanya.." The dee behind the counter simply says
The glass doors would open, allowing the Waddle Dee with a mic inside the grocery store, he clears his throat before saying a few words
"Greetings! Never thought I'd finally meet an "incident resolver" as the others call you! Anyway we've been searching for you for a while! Let's get right into-"
"Reporter Dee?"
"Yeah?" He turns towards the Assistant Dee, who looks concerned
"I don't think we should be interrupting the shrine maiden like this, I mean look at her!" Both Dees turn to see Reimu infront of the counter, waiting for the crew to talk. "She's in the middle of buying groceries! Shouldn't we not be interrupting her?"
"W-well! But we've been searching for her! Surely she can answer our questions while.." Reporter Dee would trail off all while both Reimu and Marisa looked at each other, confused.
"Ookay..?" The Poppy Sis in shrine clothing breaks the silence "You wanna do the interview later ooor..?"
"Okay miss.. How about later?" The Reporter Crew concludes "Surely that way you can go on with your business?"
"Fair enough" She shrugged "I'll do my own thing"
The crew would promptly go outside, allowing Reimu to proceed with her business as she pays her bought groceries with the Star Coins in her pockets.
She now was done with her business, turning towards the crew outside the grocery store
"So like should I approach them or?"
"Nah, I think they're just gonna approach you instead" Marisa spoke up
"Wanya!" The Waddle Dee also spoke up once more, saying a word that she herself cannot understand just yet, much like Kirby's poyos.
"Oh well" She shrugs anyway, walking towards the door and opening it, exiting the grocery store while Marisa followed in tow.
"Oh good!" The Reporter Dee would greet Reimu with a wave "So are you ready now!"
"Yeah yeah, just get on with it already" She's starting to imagine the Reporter Dee as Aya already, with her mannerisms and anything
"Okay! Okay okay okay" He clears his throat once more before bringing up the mic to his face "Miss uhh.."
"Reimu"
"Miss Reimu! How come you decided to try and resolve the crisis regarding Dynablade? And how did you and Kirby actually resolve the incident?" He brings the mic up to Reimu
"Uh, well" She would bring her hand to her chin "Dynablade DID cut down my trees and support beams for the shrine, so I thought 'hey! that bird can't get away with it!' And promptly went on my own"
Then she would smile "Me and Kirby found her nest filled with chicks, it was Kirby that had the idea to feed each one of them a plentiful amount of apples, he came up with it on the go"
She looks at the mountains in the distance, the mountain ranges themselves being silhouettes from a distance "Then he flew with them once they had a growth spurt, Dynablade eventually decided we were okay and pretty much went ahead to fly with her chicks"
"...Wow" The Reporter Dee was in awe, and so was the other Dees in the crew
"I should've been there.." Marisa fake-sobbed
"Marisa you would've made things more worser"
"MORE WORSER?? HEY!"
"Anyway" She rolled her eyes and turned back to the report crew "Any more questions?"
"Uh yeah!" He snaps out of her aweness and composed herself "Alright so lastly.. how much resistance did you face when going back up the mountain?"
"Though we faced lots of mooks up there, we did eventually beat everyone we met in our trip up there" She smugly replied "Then again the only time they were a challenge was that of the Bonkers and his group" She shrugged again "Not much I can say either"
"Well!" He brings the mic back "I can say I might be astounded! A ''incident'' where the real reason was hungry chicks was solved by Reimu and Kirby! I'll get back to you soon viewers becauss we'll be on our next episode of Channel PPP!"
"Eh?"
"Stay tuned for more!" He says before looking at the Assistant Dee, he looks back at the Camera Dee before he gave him a sign that says "End! Good to go!" despite his looks.
"Alright" The Reporter Dee adjusts his bowtie before turning back to Reimu "Thanks very much for the interview, we managed to get a whole new scoop!"
"Eh, no need for thanks, I tend to be free for the talking" She placed her hands on her hips "Aside from that what are you gonna do next?"
"Well we sleep for tomorrow!"
...
"...But it's still day" she tried to break the silence
"BYE!" The Reporter Dee would hop into the vehicle as the other three Dees gave Reimu a warm wave, a choir of wanyas being heard from the Waddle Dee Report Crew before they gently entered the car and left..
"...Well at least they were nicer than Aya" Reimu admitted
"I bet im seeing them later on..!"
"Marisa are you saying they're gonna be back for more scoops?"
"They're a report crew! Of course they're gonna come back for more!"
...Girls are having a banter.. Please wait warmly...!
