Now's the part where Kirby attacks the Halberd.

Kirby began to soar through the air in his Warp Star, his hands clutching onto the surface as seawater splashed after him from the sheer speed the Warp Star was at.

Why was he in this haste?

He had overheard plans from a particular group that he didn't know existed until now.

Earlier he was naturally just there soaring above Dreamland as he always does everyday in his daily life, with the exceptions of weekends where he would get visited by his tutor.. A female Flaming Leo for Dreamlandian lessons, it was fine atleast.

Well, turns out there wasn't, he overheard a conversation and stopped in his tracks, listening to what seems like important chatter from a familiar skull person with an axe for a weapon.

What the specifics were didn't really matter, all Kirby ever needed for an alarm was this specific line

"In three hours time, all the Meta Knights shall gather to the coasts of Orange Ocean. And together we must strike at Dreamland!"

That sounded threatening.

As a result, Kirby began his race towards Orange Ocean, where the horizon slowly revealed a massive hangar

His gaze hardened, his grip on his Warp Star tightened and he braced for eventual contact as the Meta Knights in the distance began noticing Kirby.

"The time has come. The time to show our power!"

"Haiya!"

Kirby directed his Warp Star upwards, as he glanced at the setting sun before the celestial transport obliged to his command, turning to soar upwards.

"Dreamland's lazy lifestyle will end! I will rule!"

And soon, the Warp Star would manage to reach the hangar where Kirby finally got a good close look at the Halberd's sheer size and shape, woah it's massive upclose! Look at the size of that front face!

Doesn't matter now, what matters is that they're about to be a danger to Dreamland, and no one threatens his beloved home! It's where he lives now and he loves it!

"Kirby's here! He's flying this way!"

"Oh no! Oh no! What do we do!?"

"He mustn't interfere with our plans!"

"Lord Meta Knight, what is your command?"

"All on deck prepare for battle! All others prepare for takeoff!"

"Hmhmhm..."

Marisa hummed all the way, her eyes closed as she flew across the coastline before the sun would set, the entire ocean took on an orange hue thanks to the magnificent sunset hence it's name "Orange Ocean".

This month has been very uneventful ever since the Gourmet Race, the denizens of DreamlanDreamland were wandering about carelessly.. Birds chirping about their business..

Dreamland was a truly lazy place without the ongoing incidents, and laziness was never her forte.

So shes pretty much here just looking for fun, even if it meant borrowing another scroll or book from a unsuspecting Dreamlander Magician, and probably risk getting her ears scolded by her ma aswell.

"Sigh.." She let's out a breath, rubbing her forehead "When can this day get any exciting?"

Earlier she had heard loud gunshots and explosions ring out in the distance, probably some poor bastard triggering a denizen into attacking them or just a bunch of shotzos firing at an unsuspecting traveler.

She shrugged em off

Oh well, she can zoom around for the time being.

She looked down on her broom and brought a hand to her chin, an idea popping up in her head..

She would hop up, before using her two feet to stand onto her broom

"Wo-woah!" She shook hastily, her arms outstretched before her form stabilized..

"W-whew..!"

Well, atleast she still has the skills to stand on her broom like that, anyway!

Looking forward to speed on her broom while standing ontop of it, she tapped her broom with one of her feet, right before it began to fly around the coast.

"Haha! Look at me world! WOOOHOOO!"

She outstretched her arms into the air, her form still stable as she flew around.

Well, it didn't really last long because her sensitive cat ears heard the sounds of rockets firing up, prompting her to turn..

"WAAH!"

And nearly fall upon the sight of a giant mask appearing right by her vision, the Halberd slowly soared out into the skies from the hangar right beside the Candy Mountain Ranges.

"What the-!?" She had caught onto her broom at the last minute, preventing her from falling right into the sunset-blessed ocean below "What is this..?"

The Keke would fly back to see what in the living celestial bodies was this about, a giant ship now beheld before the witchling.

She was absolutely in awe, from the sheer firepower this giant ship carried to the giant wings that span several hundred meters across. What was this thing's purpose!? To go to war?

Right as the Keke would finish thinking about the ship, the gun batteries onboard began to aim at something else.

She didn't even notice the ships turning until she heard them fire at once, with each battery onboard firing upon something else as she turned to look at where they were firing, her hands covering her ears from the noise that they produced.

A giant bird in the distance flapped its wings, the steel-bladed bird seemingly unbothered by the explosions generated from the gun batteries' shells. For all their worth, they seem to not slow down the bird by even a inch.

"What the hell, da ze..?" She slowly flew back and spectated, her eyes squinting as she noticed a figure holding onto the bird ontop of it.

Plump, pink.. Hang on, is that..

"KIRBY!?"

The Keke watched as Dynablade kept on flying right into the waves of flaks coming straight at her, up until the main battery of the ship glowed up.

Within seconds, the laser cannon onboard would shoot at the giant bird instantaneously, Dynablade was unable to react in time as she would start to fall towards the ocean, with Kirby leaping off immediately after she would fall.

"Haiaa!" Kirby waved at the bird midair as a sign of farewell before he turned back to face the deck of the Halberd. His plump body falling towards it

And Marisa saw it all

"Dyna Blade has been shot down!" A unknown voice spoke out loudly, as if their voices were being broadcasted to the crew onboard

"But...! But..! Kirby is on the deck!" Another spoke out, this one being more frightened than the other

"Relax, we must handle this calmly.." A calm yet mysterious voice spoke

"Listen, you lubbers! I waht you all after Kirby!" A rough-voiced person spoke

"Hey.." She brought a hand up to her chin as she spectated from afar, seeing Kirby land on the deck and immediately begin battling the people onboard "This sounds like an incident! And im not gonna be left out on this one either!"

"Hang on Kirby! Im coming with you this time!"

And Marisa immediately flew towards the deck, her proto-hakkero now on her hand

"We got another signature approaching the ship!"

"It's small! Someone is going after the Halberd too!"

"To whoever is approaching the Halberd, leave! You have no business over ours!" The rough voice spoke out

"Oh this is my business now!" She shouted, shaking her proto-hakkero and aiming it at the guns on the halberd "So what were you all doing that made Kirby go after you in the first place!?" She shouted

Seconds later, the voice would respond somehow, as if they've heard of her voice

"We're going to make Dreamland better again!"

"NONSENSE! DON'T JUST DROP OUR PLANS OUT OF NOWHERE!"

"It is too late, the visitor knows what they're doing, all batteries on deck fire at the visitor! The rest, deal with Kirby!" An explosion rang out from the deck, prompting the megaphoned voices to stay silent before a sigh rang out.

"Oh!? Already after me aren't you all!" She grinned on the inside as thousands of bullets began to fly towards the Keke, to which she would begin to weave and dodge around them.

It's been a while since she's seen bullet storms this big, but this is just uncreative! No cohesion or beauty, what a sham.. Perhaps this is the power of these guns onboard after all?

"Take this!" She might aswell fire back! Countless mini stars would be shot out from her proto-hakkero, hitting right onspot of the guns onboard and damaging them slightly. If she keeps up, she might probably destroy a few assets and two-

"WOAH!" She swayed to the side, narrowly avoiding a laser beam and several spinning bullets directed at her. Forced to move she began to circle the Halberd all while pelting it's cannons with plasma stars and avoiding the incoming flak and anti-air bullets.

"Is that..?"

"Kirby is flashing rainbows! He's eaten an Invincibility Candy!"

"Damn where did that even come from?! Fighters onboard do not approach Kirby!"

Seems like they're panicking, just how much trouble was Kirby causing again?

"He's heading towards Main Cannon #2!"

"No! The invincibility candy is going to give him an advantage!"

And so what felt like minutes passed, the deck of the Halberd suddenly blew up, surprising Marisa while the incoming bullets all stopped firing.

"Woah.." She stopped in her tracks, eyeing the now burning decks of the Halberd as her eye caught a glimpse of yellow soaring out from what remained of the deck.

"AHH! MAIN CANNON #2 HAS BEEN DESTROYED!"

"Most of the deck gone! The cannon's a wreck! We cant use most of our firepower now!"

"...How can this be!?"

"Probably because you picked a fight with the pink puffball after all!" If she had a mouth she would definitely smile wildly at the fact that an incident resolver this young could cause that much destruction. All the while being small as well

"Well in that case.." She eyed the pink puffball as the warpstar brought him towards the left wing of the ship "Don't mind if I join in on the fun!"

She immediately flew towards the left wing aswell, with the intent of joining Kirby in his goal to stop the Meta Knights from taking over Dreamland.

Relatively short chapter, but it kinda helps with introducing the storyline a bit. Dunno
