Prompt: "What is it going to take to get you to trust?"

"I don't believe that that was how your recovery of the Opal of Samarrah was supposed to go."

Flynn Carsen rolled his eyes as he continued pulling off his gloves, pushing past Aurora York as she stood with her arms crossed next to his desk. "I do believe that I didn't ask for your opinion, Rora."

This caused the Archivist to roll her eyes this time. "Firstly, I told you to not call me that, Flynn. It's Ra, not Rora. And two, what is it going to take to get you to trust me?"

The Librarian scoffed. "Oh, come on, Ra. Do you really want me to answer that?" Before she could say anything more, the phone dedicated to the Library began to ring. The two shared a look before Ra reached over and picked up the phone, putting it on speaker so that Flynn could hear as well. "Thank you for calling the Metropolitan Library. How may I direct your call?"

"Hello. I must speak to Flynn Carsen." Ra raised her eyebrow at the Librarian, who looked just as confused while the man on the other end of the phone continued to speak. "I must speak with the Librarian."

Ra held one of her hands up to stop Flynn from speaking up at this point. She and Charlene had prepared for if they came across this sort of situation. "Oh, I'm sorry, sir. Mr. Carsen has actually been in Minneapolis for the library sciences seminar for the last week. He will not be back for another week."

"No. Flynn Carsen was not in Minneapolis. He was just in Berlin recovering the Opal of Samarrah." This caused Ra's eyes to widen before she looked over to where Flynn was standing looking concerned. Before either could say anything, however, the man on the phone began to speak again. "Wait, he's with you, isn't he? You are there with Flynn Carsen, the Librarian."

The Archivist was unable to stop Flynn this time as he dove towards the phone. "How do you know who I am?"

"You won't remember me. I'm outside and I'm coming in."

"Wait," now Ra was closer to the phone. "What do you mean that you're outside?"

Flynn took over again. "How do you know about the Library?"

The other man just spoke again. "I will explain everything in greater detail when we meet. Just tell me where to meet you." And the call dropped.

"Get upstairs." The Librarian turned sharply to look at the Archivist, who was giving him a calculated look. She shrugged. "Something tells me that, whoever this man is, he is in trouble. And he just made it our problem. So, go help him. Because I am an unknown and he asked for you, so go!"

Without another word, the Librarian turned again and practically sprinted out of the room. Ra sighed. She had a feeling that this was now going to lead to something even bigger.
