As Izuku walked into his classroom, he knew he was in for a rough day. Of course Izuku was put in the same class as Bakugo, why wouldn't he be?

Ugh, whatever. He'd just ignore him.

"Hey wait, aren't you the one who summoned the mech?" A boy with spiky red hair asked when he saw Izuku walk in.

"Wait, you were serious about that?" A pink skinned girl piped up, her eyes widening.

"Tch. Of course you had to use a mech to get in. No way your Quirkless ass would get in normally, Deku." Bakugo taunted, which Izuku promptly ignored.

"I don't know why you're talking shit considering he got first place in the exams with "just a mech'" A purple haired girl with what looked like headphone jacks attached to her earlobes. Izuku didn't know why, but he thought the look was kind of cute.

"THE FUCK YOU SAY, EARLOBES?!" Bakugo snapped, but Izuku had enough, standing between his two classmates.

"What're you gonna do, Bakugo? Tell her to jump off a building too? Because let me tell you something. This isn't Aldera. You can't get away with anything they let you got away with. You got a big flashy Quirk? So does everyone else here. So grow the fuck up. Because none of us are going to worship the ground you walk on. Not anymore." Izuku hissed.

"The fuck did you just say to me you little shit? You really think you can stand up to me now? You're nothing Dek-"

"IT'S IZUKU!" The verdette roared, causing everyone who was about to step in to take a step back in stunned silence. "IT'S IZUKU! NOT DEKU." He took a deep breath, not letting his anger get the better of him. "You know, Bakugo, I really hoped that the Entrance Exam would be a reality check for you but clearly not. I'm only going to say this once. Stay the hell away from me."

"Tch. Or what?" Bakugo growled.

"Or I'll show you just how 'defenseless' I really am." Izuku hissed.

Fortunately for the two boys, Mr Aizawa chose that moment to come in, and upon seeing the situation that had just unfolded, made sure to sit Bakugo and Izuku far away from each other until he could watch the camera footage and get all the context.

After that mess, everyone went into their respective locker rooms to go change into their gym uniforms, as the Quirk assessment test was how they were going to start the year.

While the boys locker room was silent, the girls were discussing what just happened.

"Do you really think that Bakugo did that?" Toru asked quietly.

"With the fact that Izuku said it with such familiarity, I think it's safe to say that yes, he did. And he did it to Izuku, kero." Tsu said.

"He seemed so... angry with Bakugo. It was kinda scary." Uraraka murmured, shuddering as she couldn't believe that the boy who took down the Zero Pointer and defended everyone at the Practical was the one who just screamed in Bakugo's face.

"Do you blame him?" Kyoka pointed out, pulling her top on. "I mean, honestly. Say it was me or Mina who he said that to. Would you not react the same way?"

Mina didn't think about that. If Izuku really was Quirkless, and Bakugo had told him to kill itself... That meant that Bakugo was a bully at best, and a Quirkist at worst. "I would've beaten his ass. If anything, I think Izuku let him off easy."

"Mina!" Momo gasped. "Just because you're right doesn't mean you have to display such vulgar language."

"Regardless, something tells me that Bakugo is going to retaliate at some point. I don't doubt that Izuku can hold his own..." Kyoka trailed off.

"...but that doesn't mean that he should have to do this on his own." Mina finished.

"Then we all agree that we help protect Izuku if need be?" Ochako asked, getting a nod from everyone in the locker room.

Aizawa sighed as he looked through the camera feed. Izuku wasn't exactly wrong, but that temper would need to be dealt with. As for Bakugo... It might be a good idea to talk to Vlad King about trading one of his students for Bakugo just to keep the two as separated as possible. But the question is, who?

Frowning, Aizawa pulled up Class 1-B's roster and started narrowing the list down. He wouldn't take Kendo, she's a shoo in for class president and would most likely be the one to rein the class in... He wouldn't take Tetsutetsu as Kirishima had basically the same quirk... So who should he take...?

Finally, he settled on Neito Monoma. He was another problem child, to be sure, but he hoped that the right people in his class would rub off on the boy and make him lose that complex of his. He might need to pair up him with his other problem child when he could get away with it.

Satisfied, he messaged Hound Dog as well, asking if he was available to see Izuku after class.

He might've been the one to expel his entire class last year, but he would not do it this year. He saw something in these kids that he hadn't seen in a long time: Potential. It's why he handpicked this class to begin with. He's more than happy to admit that he judged Bakugo too quickly, but he's still human. He makes mistakes. And he won't make the mistake of letting these kids be unprepared. He had one year with them. He needed to make it count.

As Izuku walked out on the field, he saw Mr. Aizawa watching him and Bakugo like a hawk, as though he was deciding something. "Bakugo, a word." he said, confusing Izuku further.

That confusion then intensified when Bakugo stormed off and a few minutes later, a confused looking boy with blonde hair walked onto the field.

"Good, you're here." Aizawa said approvingly. "Everyone, this is Neito Monoma, he's taking Katsuki Bakugo's spot in class, please make him feel welcome."

Silence...

Then, Izuku stepped up and smiled, bowing to Neito and offering to shake his hand. "Welcome to Class 1-A, Neito. We're happy to have you. My name's Izuku Midoriya."

Neito visibly relaxed and returned the bow, shaking Izuku's hand, nothing that he didn't copy his classmate's Quirk. Interesting... "It's nice to meet you, Izuku." Neito said with a smile.

"There, now that all that's out of the way, we can do what I actually wanted to do today: The Quirk Assessment Test. This is for me to establish a baseline with all of your Quirks so I can see where you are at and how best to help you all. When you all are finished, I will show you the rankings. Normally this is where I'd scare you into thinking I was expelling whoever was at the bottom of the list, but I feel like you've all had enough drama for today. That being said, regardless of your placement, you should not get complacent. This is to show you where you can improve, even if you are #1. Even All Might isn't perfect, he'd agree that everyone has something to approve. Midoriya, you're up first for the Ball Throw. And I want to talk to you and Neito after class, okay? You aren't in trouble, I just want to explain to both of you the reason for the change in classmates."

Izuku nodded, tapping his Morpher. He had just the Ranger for this...

So... funny thing. The Neito change was actually came up with the day this chapter dropped. This was not something I had initially planned, but it's a dynamic I kind of wanted to experiment with. Tell me what you think! I'm glad that the Legacy Chapter has received a warm reception, I was actually really nervous about that.

Once again, it's time to play the game of... GUESS! THAT! RANGER!

However, since I didn't really give much of a hint as to who Izuku would morph into last time, I am going to give you guys a hint this time. And whoever guesses correctly will get a shout-out in the next chapter!

Without further Ado, here's your hint: The Ranger team is steeped in Japanese culture.

Not going to give you the color, but that should narrow it down for you!

Anyways, that's about it for me here. As always, drive the speed limit, drink some water, and love one another. Pizza!
