HINATA POV:

Sakura's glowing blue fist hit Naruto's black one. There was a minor shockwave as the blue aura around the hand faded and she attempted to kick Naruto in the chest. Naruto blocked and spun her, making her face the ground. As he pushed her leg to make her fall she used her hands to twist around and kicked his left hand with enough force to use to right herself into a standing position.

She blocked a barrage of wind chakra punches before jumping high and doing some hand signs before sending out a stream of pressurized water from her mouth.

Naruto flipped back, dodging the stream before doing his own hand signs and sent out multiple balls made of wind from his mouth.

Her hands glowed blue again as she deflected them using the tip of her fingers and then jumped up towards Naruto.

As the two sparred, Sasuke and Hinata were working on developing her water natured Ryou to the next level which they called the 'Elemental fist'.

"You gotta build it up, hold it and then push it all out" Sasuke said as he punched with his Red aura clad hand in the air and a jet of fire came out. "Fire needs your mouth and lungs every time you need to use a fire Jutsu, but if your mouth is disabled your done for, so we invented this technique" Sasuke said. " You could do the same with water, since unless you're on the second Hokage' s level of water manipulation you need a water source to do a Jutsu, which is inconvenient"

Hinata nodded and activated Ryou in her hand. She waited, building up as much water chakra she could. To her disappointment only a tiny stream of water which went till about 20 cm came out.

"Oh damn. I got like 2 drops when I did it my first time" Sakura said as she sat on the ground and watched them train while Naruto came and laid down on the grass near them mumbling about monster pink haired girls.

"If you were expecting a bunch of water that'll take a while. It took me like 7 months to get my fire fist to even cross the 1-meter mark" Sasuke said.

SASUKE POV

It was lunch break and Sasuke, with Naruto was eating onigiri while chatting about random stuff with Kiba, Choji and Shikamaru. The three has recently learnt their clan's signature Jutsu and were talking about meeting up after school to show them off.

"Oi Sasuke" Naruto said as he walked to Sasuke once the three had gone back to class.

"Yeah?"

" I was thinking about why you haven't awakened the Sharingan yet" Naruto said, causing Sasuke to pause and look at him, fully alert.

"Well in the Uchiha library we saw it needs trauma to activate, but you got more than enough of what it said was needed, since someone had awakened it by failing their graduation exam" he said, remembering something they had found slightly funny until they remembered the guy was dead.

"So, I figured trauma aint the only thing. I asked Kiba and he said that the Inuzuka clan member's possess a slightly different body, mainly in their nose, so when they channel chakra there till a certain amount their nose is easily thousand times as strong as normal humans."

Sasuke's eyes widened as he realized what Naruto was saying. "Look at my eyes" he said as he started channelling chakra into his eyes. He kept increasing the amount till Naruto gasped and handed Sasuke a pocket mirror.

Sasuke smiled when he saw his eyes, red in colour with a black dot with two Tomoe in each eye.

He sighed with happiness and hugged Naruto who was surprised by Sasuke's sudden show of happiness "Woah. Clingy Sasuke. Happy Sasuke. Damn I wish I had a camera" he said as he hugged Sasuke back.

"Thank you" Sasuke said, almost crying.

"If you wanna thank me I accept payment in ramen" Naruto said with a grin.

"Yeah Yeah" Sasuke muttered as he started walking towards the class.

NARUTO POV

As they entered the class and took their usual seat in the back, Iruka sensei, along with his assistant Mizuki sensei walked into the classroom. Ever since Naruto had started practicing with Kurama's chakra he had been able to somewhat sense other people's emotion towards him or those close to him.

After that one time where he would send out hundreds of clones to do d-rank missions most of the population saw him as Naruto Uzumaki and not the giant furball sealed in him. About 20% of the people still saw him as a demon, including Mizuki.

Mizuki had tried to sabotage Naruto multiple times, like giving him blunt kunai or putting a Genjutsu on Naruto's test to make it a test even a Jonin might struggle with.

"Alright class. In exactly two months everyone will be performing the Graduation exam to see if you're ready for the ninja world out there." Iruka sensei said," The test will consist of a written test and a practical test in which you will have to perform the clone, transformation and substitution Jutsu".

Sasuke and Naruto went back to whispered discussions about his newly awakened Sharingan and ways to improve it.

TWO MONTHS LATER

NARUTO POV:

"Naruto Uzumaki" came the call of Iruka sensei as he each student was tested individual for the practical test.

As Naruto entered the room he saw Iruka Sensei smiling along with Mizuki who was scowling but trying to hide it.

"Alright Naruto first transform into me" Iruka sensei said.

Naruto held up his right hand to do a one-handed seal and transformed into a perfect copy of Iruka Sensei.

Once Iruka Sensei was done inspecting him from all angles and gave his approval Naruto turned back.

"Ok, now the Substitution" Iruka sensei said.

Naruto made the same one-handed seal and was replaced by a log from the pile in the back of the room.

After writing a small note on his notepad Iruka sensei said " And finally, make at least 4 acceptable clones"

Instead of the one-handed seal or the seal for the normal clone Jutsu, Naruto put the index and middle fingers of both hands in a cross shape and called out "MULTI-SHADOW CLONE JUTSU" as 20 perfect copies of Naruto popped up behind him

"Congratulations Naruto, you pass" Iruka sensei said, looking like a fish had just started beatboxing in front of him.

"B-But that wasn't the clone Jutsu. We wanted the CLONE Jutsu, not shadow clones" Mizuki said, trying to prevent Naruto from graduating.

"The basic clones are just the easiest one for academy students. If Naruto can do a better version he should be allowed to." Iruka sensei said with finality in his tone as he handed Naruto the headband with the symbol of the hidden leaf village etched on.

1 HOUR LATER

"Naruto how would you like a chance to directly make it to chunin?" Mizuki said as he stopped Naruto from entering Ichiraku's.

Now while he did act like a goofball, Naruto was no idiot. He could clearly see that this was a trick but figured that since he had nothing better to do he might as well see what Mizuki was talking about.

Playing the part of the stupid brat Mizuki thought he was, he shouted out "REALLY?"
