A Trap is Sprung
~Shinra HQ President's Office~
"This way," someone shouted as everyone was setting up cameras. Then someone in a chair could be seen. He is an older man with a thinner build, fair skin, blue eyes, short graying blond hair, and a mustache. He wears a burgundy suit with black pinstripes, a white dress shirt, a dark blue tie with white dots, a black vest, a white pocket square, and black dress shoes. He also wears a wristwatch on his left hand. This is Lucius Shinra, President of the Shinra Electric Power Company.
"Mr. President, your tie," another person says before he fixes his tie.
"Quickly now quickly," Heidegger said, ushering people left and right.
Then Lucius narrows his eyes on a camera seeing Barret and the others. But turns red from rage seeing Naruto who looks directly at a security camera. Then puts his middle finger on his eyelid pulling it down then sticks out his tongue before launching a blast of lightning at the camera.
~Mako Reactor 5 Interior~
"So who here thinks the old man is mad now if he wasn't before?" Naruto asked with his hand up while Barret and Cloud chuckled, raising their hands, which caused Tifa to shake her head at her crush's ability to anger the enemy. Though she had to admit it was funny.
"You just can't help angering the bad guys, can you Naruto-kun?" Tifa asked while her crush grinned at her, making her blush.
"Nope it makes them sloppy," Naruto said, making them nod seeing it was true. Before they started looking for a way down.
"Call me crazy but I do not see a way down," Barret said. While Naruto thought of a way before Tifa spoke up.
"Hey guys, will this do?" Tifa asked, looking down and seeing a pipe.
"Pipe surfing huh? Well, I am game," Naruto said before Tifa went down first followed by Cloud, Barret, and finally Naruto.
"YAHOO!" Naruto shouted before he landed with his feet together and his arms in a Y formation. Then received applause for his performance before bowing to the audience. (The pose a Gymnast makes when she lands after jumping off the beam I don't know what it is called if it was a name)
"Thank you, thank you. You are all too kind," Naruto said, making everyone laugh and Tifa giggle even more. Then holding up a scorecard that read 10/10. Where she got it Naruto didn't care as long as he was making people laugh.
Then Naruto went looking for that chest he saw coming down. Before he opened it and grabbed the 3 Hi-potions that were in there.
"Hey check it out. Is that the mech Scarlet told you about Naruto-kun?" Tifa asked before Naruto looked at the mech.
"That would be the one. Although mechs like this were also used to take out giant monsters, isn't that right Cloud?" Naruto asked, making Cloud nod confirming what his friend said.
"Are you sure we can trust her?" Barret asked, making Cloud and Naruto sigh, and making Tifa frown.
"Like I said before, Scarlet may be many things cold, ruthless, and cunning. But that is mainly to her enemies. However, to the people that she likes. Well let's just say Scarlet is quite pleasant to be around," Naruto said fondly. "Matter of fact if it wasn't for Lazard Deusericus betraying us for Angeal and Genesis I would have gladly taken the chance to work under her. Sadly that fell under Heidegger's role," Naruto said, not at all happy with that.
Then they ran down a hallway before they ran into monsters. Which Cloud assessed and found out to be Monodrives and that they were weak to Wind.
"All yours Cloud," Naruto said, making him nod before he started casting and staggering them. Then once they were staggered they all started wailing on them before destroying them.
Then they found a ladder and slid down it before Naruto saw a chest. Then opened it grabbing 2 bottles of Echo Mist before proceeding. Then encountering more monsters before taking them out as well. Then Cloud saw a chest, opened it, and saw a bottle of Ether and grabbed it.
"Looks like the only way is still down," Barret said, seeing a ladder. Then they all descended, ran across a catwalk, and into a fight with two Sweepers.
"I HAVE SERIOUSLY HAD ENOUGH OF THESE WHEN I WAS AT THE SHINRA WAREHOUSE. SO FRY THUNDARA!" Naruto shouted before launching a Level 1 Thunder spell equipped with a Magnify on them, staggering them. Then he started beating on them like a wild animal.
"Should we stop him?" Tifa asked while she and Barret winced at the beating he gave the machines before Cloud shook his head.
"When we were at the Shinra Warehouse there were so many of them. Naruto couldn't take it anymore and well," Cloud didn't say anything further and just pointed to the beating that was going on.
"Duck," Barret said before they all crouched down when the Sweepers were sent flying over them and down below before exploding.
"I thought you didn't use your strongest Materia on weak enemies?" Tifa asked.
"I don't. That was just a Level 1 Spell," Naruto said, making her nod. Then they saw a ladder and climbed down it before going forward. Purposely missing the ladder in favor of the chest which contained a bulletproof vest.
"Here you go Barret," Naruto said, making the man chuckle and take it before they took the ladder.
~Sector 5 Reactor core~
"There it is," Naruto said walking to it before he groaned and took a knee before holding his head. Then a flash hit him from when he was at the Nibelheim Reactor. Then saw Tifa and a dead man who he assumed was her Father. Then saw Tifa picking up the very sword that struck down so many and walking into the Reactor.
"NO!" Naruto shouted before coming back to the present with everyone worried about what he saw. But none more than Tifa.
"That memory again?" Tifa asked with a frown knowing it couldn't have been any other worse memory to him than that memory. Making him shake his head sadly.
"It's ok Naruto-kun I am right here with you," Tifa said with a loving smile. Then helped him rise to his feet. Then, she placed her hand in his and walked to the reactor together. Confusing Cloud and Barret but figured it was better to not ask.
"Barret the bomb," Naruto said in a commanding voice that made Tifa wet before Barret smirked and handed it to him.
"This comes with a remote detonator. So we have all the time in the world," Barret said, making Naruto smirk. Then he tinkered with it for a few seconds, confusing Barret.
"There I rigged it to be operated by voice command. Don't ask me how I did it but I did. Now even If Shinra tampers with it. They won't be able to use it," Naruto said, making them all grin.
"Come on, let's go. I can't wait for this to blow," Naruto said with a grin. Before they ran back to the ladder.
Only for the ladder to be pulled up.
"Oh fuck you Shinra," Naruto said not pleased.
Then the door opened showing more drones before they positioned themselves showing Heidegger. Who began blabbing away about how Shinra stated the latest terrorist bombing rumor to be true pissing them all off.
"May I present to you Shinra's latest project and your destruction. The Air Buster," Heidegger said, showing the mech.
"What?" Naruto asked, pretending like he didn't hear him.
"I said let me," Heidegger said but was cut off again.
"What?" Naruto asked again, angering him, making Cloud smirk seeing the game he was playing.
"I said," Heidegger said but was once again interrupted. But by Cloud this time.
"What?" Cloud asked with a smirk. Making Barret and Tifa grin pissing Heidegger off more.
"SILENCE I AM TRYING TO!" Heidegger shouted but was interrupted by Barret and Tifa this time.
"What?" Tifa and Barret asked, making him shout in frustration. Before he cut the connection.
"Well, I'll say if we didn't anger him before. He sure is angry now," Barret said with a laugh along with a giggling Tifa.
"In all fairness, Heidegger was always quick to either anger or annoy," Naruto said with a grin. Then the doors opened again and out ran 3 Shock Troopers. With one being an Elite. Still, it did not make any difference since they were still weak to fire.
"Light 'em up," Naruto said, casting fire on them, staggering them. Then started wailing on them hard before they defeated them and then proceeded forward.
~Mako Reactor 5 Assembly Plant~
"Let's waste them," Naruto said before the Shinra troops spotted them. Then they started getting hammered. Before Naruto saw one trying to call for help.
"Oh no you don't," Naruto said running over to him. Breaking his arm, making him shout before he was kicked.
"Forget the console. If what Scarlet told me is correct and it is. Then we will have 2 more chances for this. We just have to find the 6 key cards," Naruto said before finding the first one and pocketing it. Then making their way out of the room and activated another console.
~a few moments later~
Then they saw more drones which they had no problems disposing of.
"Still too easy," Naruto said, making them nod, and then they ran to another door before they opened it. Seeing more Shinra troops before disposing of them. As well as grabbing the key card and making for the next room. After activating the console for the door.
~a few more moments later~
After a small run, they saw some Shock Troopers. Before they rushed in staggering them, and then began wailing on them without a problem.
"I wish they would give us a challenge," Naruto said. While the rest nodded agreeing with him before continuing.
~a few moments later~
Naruto and company then made it to another door. They opened it and wasted no time attacking the troopers before they could even try to fight back.
"Ok, same as before, grab the key card, forget the console, and make our way to the next room," Naruto said, getting nods from everyone. Then they found the key card, grabbed it, and continued.
~a few minutes later~
"Hey, what is that?" Barret asked, seeing a purple chest and making Naruto smirk, seeing the chest. Then he opened it and saw a pair of gloves before he pulled out his Scan Materia and scanned it.
"What are they Naruto-kun?" Tifa asked before Naruto grinned and held them out to her.
"A new weapon for you Tifa-chan. They are called Sonic Knuckles. Their base attack power is 32. Their max power is 87. Their base magic power is 21. While their max power is 58 and they have 2 linked Materia slots," Naruto said, making their eyes widen. While Tifa accepted the gift and kissed his cheek before putting them on.
"Thank you Naruto-kun," Tifa said, making him nod.
"You are welcome Tifa-chan. I had another weapon for you and Barret from before. But I honestly forgot about them," Naruto said before giving Barret a Light Machine Gun. Which only had a single linked Materia slot on it. But he wasn't going to complain about it.
"That weapon's base power is 22. While its max is 62. Then its base magic is 33 and its max is 97," Naruto said, making him grin before he equipped it.
"Don't expect a kiss from me," Barret said with a smirk, making Naruto turn green and causing Tifa to giggle. Then making Cloud and Barret laugh.
"Can we just go now?" Naruto asked, trying hard to not get sick before they nodded all done teasing him.
'I have such mean teammates,' Naruto thought before he raced to catch up to them. While 10 special Materia including the one containing his old partner Kurama laughed or giggled.
~a few minutes later~
Soon the group made it to the door. Before opening it and saw more Shinra guards. They attacked them before they even knew what hit them. Then they grabbed the key card.
"Cloud and Barret can you two search the lower levels again, please? Two more cards are missing," Naruto said, receiving nods from them before they left. While Naruto and Tifa looked at the Air Buster.
"So what do you think of all this Naruto-kun?" Tifa asked. While they stared at the Air Buster.
"Well if what Scarlet told me about this thing is true and it was designed to be our executioner. Then I have a pretty good idea what she is hoping for," Naruto said, making Tifa frown.
"Naruto-kun do you truly believe Scarlet can be trusted?" Tifa asked before Naruto glanced at her and raised a brow prompting her to continue. "I mean I overheard you calling her a sexual deviant," Tifa finished making Naruto flush a bit.
"Ya, that day got a bit too crazy. Although now that I think about it. Something must have happened to make her that way. But rest assured my dear Tifa, Scarlet was genuine when she said she was sorry for acting the way she did," Naruto said, making Tifa smile, trusting her crush's words. But she blushed when he called her his.
Then Tifa turned him around and looked a little nervous about what she was about to do next.
"Tifa you know there is no reason to be nervous around me," Naruto said, stroking her cheek which she leaned into.
Then she threw her arms around his neck pulling him into a deep kiss surprising him. Then he wrapped his hands around her waist and pulled her to him. Feeling her breasts push into his chest.
Then Tifa licked his lips, making Naruto open his mouth. Then they began a fierce tongue war. Which Naruto dominated before they pulled back.
"Naruto-kun if you will accept me. I wish to be one of your girls," Tifa said with a loving smile, making him smile in return.
"You do know that you will have to share me with them right?" Naruto asked before Tifa kissed him again and then hugged him.
"I don't care. As long as I get to be with you," Tifa said with a smile before she pulled away from the hug. But remained in his arms as she turned around while they looked at The Air Buster together. With his arms around her midsection.
~with Cloud and Barret~
"So Cloud do you think Naruto and Tifa will get together?" Barret asked while Cloud nodded.
"I do not doubt that they will. I see the way Tifa and Naruto act when they are around each other. Though they try to deny it," Cloud said with a chuckle making Barret smirked.
"I thought she was your childhood friend though?" Barret asked, making Cloud nod.
"She is. But that doesn't mean that we hung out together all that much," Cloud said, making Barret nod seeing his point.
"Found them," Barret said, holding up 2 key cards.
"Good let's return," Cloud said, making Barret nod and they headed back.
~with Naruto and Tifa~
"Hey guys, good news we found the last 2 key cards," Barret said. Before he stopped and smiled seeing Tifa's head on Naruto's shoulder and his arm around her waist.
"Good because now we can sabotage this thing," Naruto said before he took a key card and inserted it into the console.
"So which are you going for?" Barret asked while Naruto smirked.
"Oh, that choice is simple. Like Scarlet said kill the programming and bombs," Naruto said before he selected the first A.I. Programming and hit enter.
"Now let's see it in action," Naruto said. Before they looked up and saw the component.
"Where do you think those go?" Barret asked Naruto, making him think about it.
"If I had to guess the waste disposal room," Naruto said while Cloud nodded.
"Now for programming number 2," Naruto said before he hit enter again. Then watched as the second A.I. Programming went bye-bye.
"2 down 2 to go," Tifa said, making them nod before Naruto inserted the third card and selected A.I. programming again. Then they watched as the third one went bye-bye.
"3 down 1 to go," Cloud said. Before they watched as the third program went bye-bye.
"Now for the 4th and final program," Naruto said, inserting the fourth card into the console, Getting rid of the last programming. Watching as that went bye-bye as well.
"Well now that the A.I. programs are gone. What about the M Units?" Barret asked before they shook their heads.
"We are taking out the bombs. But since there are only 2 key cards left that means we need to avoid the one bomb. Which shouldn't be too hard," Naruto said before he inserted card #5 and selected Big Bomber. Then they watched as it went to the disposal room.
"5 key cards down, only 1 to go," Naruto said before putting in the last card. Selecting the bomber again. Then hit the enter button and they watched the bomber go to the disposal room.
"Well, we did all we could with only 6 cards. But I think we can manage with just one bomber. The good news is we can raid the disposal room right Cloud?" Naruto asked, making him nod.
~Shinra HQ~
"Madam Director we have a serious problem," a trooper said with a grin looking at Scarlet who smiled at her subordinate.
"Let me guess. The Air Buster is missing a lot of components right?" Scarlet asked with a smirk, making the trooper nod.
"Yes ma'am," the trooper said, making Scarlet smile more.
"I sure hope this is a step towards forgiveness," Scarlet said with a frown.
"General Uzumaki is not one to hold a grudge...Unless you kill someone he cares for," the trooper said, making Scarlet shudder in fear and strangely aroused.
"That day was all kinds of crazy," Scarlet said with a giggle making the others chuckle as they remembered that day.
~flashback~
"GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY!" Naruto shouted before he switched to his explosion sword.
"EXPLOSION!" Naruto shouted, swinging the sword and creating multiple explosions. While also causing as much Chaos as he could.
"Damn Naruto-kun is making sure to make a mess of everything," Scarlet said with a nervous giggle watching from a screen at all the damage he is causing.
"Um ma'am shouldn't we stop him?" a trooper said before Scarlet looked at him.
"So you have a death sentence?" Scarlet asked before there was another series of explosions making them all nervous. Then they all heard Naruto's maniacal laughter making them even more nervous.
"I'll stay thank you," the soldier said in a meek and scared voice, making Scarlet snicker as they watched the chaos happen.
~flashback end~
"That honestly was one scary day to be Shinra," another trooper said while Scarlet nodded.
"You're telling me. I am surprised you didn't join him though Kunsei," Scarlet said, turning her head to look at a 2nd class SOLDIER with a black mask.
"I would have only gotten in his way ma'am," Kunsei said nervously. 'That and I would have only gotten myself killed trying to help,' Kunsei thought.
"Well, you keep watch on our guests. I have a meeting," Scarlet said in annoyance while the soldiers saluted.
MA'AM!" they said as they watched the screen.
~with Naruto and company~
"Naruto-kun, are you sure Shinra can't undo what you did to the bomb if they got their hands on it?" Tifa asked her new boyfriend.
"I am sure dear. Even if they tampered with it. The bomb won't work since It will only recognize my voice," Naruto said, making everyone there look at him with their jaws dropped.
'Naruto/Naruto-kun wants to stick it to Shinra,' everyone thought before grinning.
"Oh, and Barret? Please don't even think about trying to talk to the people. Shinra will most likely mute you. Or turn your words against you. Most likely both," Naruto said, making him sigh and nod before they used the control console and opened the door.
Then they ran in. But came face to face with two Elite Shock Troopers.
"Oh this is going to be fun," Naruto said before they started wailing on both of them despite their speed. Using their weakness against them and staggering them. They then proceeded until they came across another door and opened it.
Then came across a console before Cloud activated it. Which opened as they ran up the ramp. Then they came across another door. Only to see the Air Buster ready for deployment.
"ATTACK!" Naruto shouted before they all started laying into the soldiers despite their shields. Before they saw the mech going up.
"NO!" Barret shouted getting ready to shoot it before Naruto stopped him.
"Would you relax or did you already forget? The Air Buster is now weak thanks to the info I got," Naruto said, annoyed that Barret had already forgotten.
"Hey guys over here," Tifa said before they saw her at a monitor of the mech.
"We took it down a peg or two. Shinra is no doubt going to be throwing a fit,' Naruto said with a chuckle while Tifa giggled.
"We should talk about victory poses," Barret said before Naruto, Cloud, and Naruto looked at him with a deadpan stare.
"Veto," they all said in unison, making him crash to the ground making them laugh and giggle.
"Um, does anyone get the feeling that we don't have a way up?" Naruto asked while walking around. Looking to try and find a way up. Not seeing movement beside him.
"NARUTO-KUN LOOK OUT!" Tifa shouted before Naruto looked to his left, and widened his eyes just in time to be blown aside. Then spat out blood when he hit the wall.
"NARUTO/NARUTO-KUN!" everyone shouted before they saw a sweeper. Only this one had blades on it.
"Tifa lightning spell," Cloud said, making her nod.
"THUNDAGA!" Tifa shouted in fury blasting it. Then they all started wailing on it before they staggered it. Taking it down before Tifa ran to Naruto to help him up.
"Naruto-kun are you ok?" Tifa asked while Naruto groaned.
"Yea, I am good. A Sweeper isn't going to take me out. But I am going to be feeling this tomorrow," Naruto said, holding his back in pain but smiling anyway. Making the others smile. But worried Tifa.
'How is it that he can still smile? When he is taking most of the damage for us?' Tifa thought to herself in anger. She then promised herself she was going to be the best student Naruto ever had and protect him for once.
"Um Naruto-kun, did you by any chance have a danger-sensing ability? You know when you had this Chakra?" Tifa asked before Naruto nodded. Then shook his head, confusing them.
I had two Chakras, 1 blue and 1 red. But the red Chakra belonged to a friend. Sadly though he was split from me when I ended up in this world," Naruto said confusing them even further. "A story for another time I promise," Naruto finished with a smile making everyone nod. However, Tifa saw the corners of his lips twitch.
'Whatever it is. He must not want to be reminded. Naruto-kun, what kind of past did you have?' Tifa asked herself in thought. Not knowing that she would come to regret ever wanting to know the horror that was his past.
"Well in any case that Sweeper provided us the way," Barret said, seeing a ramp before they ran up it. Then Cloud saw a chest before he opened it and grabbed a bottle of Ether.
Then they proceeded up some stairs and saw some moon drives before attacking them.
"Oh, come on now. I want a challenge," Barret said, annoyed, making the team laugh and giggle before Naruto patted his back.
"The Air Buster will provide more than enough challenge. Even in its weakened state," Naruto said, making him nod before they proceeded up more stairs. Then they saw an elevator and walked in. Then Naruto and Cloud leaned up against the wall with their arms folded making Tifa and Barret smile.
"It's like they are twins," Barret said. While Tifa smiled before she walked to Naruto who opened his arms and Tifa leaned into him.
"Almost time," Naruto said, making them nod.
"You better give Marlene a big smile when we make it back," Barret told Naruto with a grin while Naruto chuckled.
"Well, I did give her a flower. When I first saw her. So this time I will be sure to give her two flowers. That I will," Naruto said, making him nod while Tifa smiled in his arms not saying anything.
'He is good with kids,' Tifa thought, imagining her kids with blonde hair and blue eyes taking after both her and him. Then they heard a ding as the elevator opened and they all got out after Naruto let go of Tifa.
"There's another door with a console," Cloud said before he went to activate it. Only for him to be denied.
"Locked out I assume?" Naruto asked, making Cloud nod before Naruto looked around and noticed a door.
"Hey Cloud, will that door get us out? As well as the disposal room?" Naruto asked Cloud as he looked at the door and nodded before operating the console. Then the door opened and they walked in.
"Well, there's a control console. But this one doesn't look like it will be so easy," Naruto said while they nodded.
"My guess is this one is all about synchronization," Cloud said.
"Right Tifa takes the middle Cloud the right and Barret the left," Naruto said while they nodded.
"Naruto-kun can you by any chance use the Scan Materia and see what the sequence is? Tifa asked him and made Naruto look at her.
"This isn't a hacking Materia ya know," Naruto said, making Barret and Cloud chuckle. Then he continued "This is just wrong," Naruto said before seeing Tifa's smirk.
"Oh so you're telling me you using the Morph Materia to turn yourself into a woman to save Johnny was wrong as well?" Tifa asked while Barret looked at him wide-eyed.
"THAT WAS PURELY STRATEGIC WOMAN AND YOU KNOW IT!" Naruto cried out, making everyone laugh and giggle. Before he fell over when he realized he just got played. Before he sighed
"Oh very well," Naruto said before he pulled out his Scan Materia.
"Scan," Naruto said, scanning the console.
"Everyone needs to shift the controls up. I suggest you follow Tifa's lead," Naruto said, making everyone nod.
Then Tifa counted to three and everyone shifted the controls up which disengaged the lock down making them all smile.
"Well, that's the right way to go. Now for the treasure room," Barret said, making everyone nod. Then Naruto once again used his Scan Materia.
"Scan," Naruto said before he got the info he needed,
"Level 1 Tifa needs to shift her left arm down and so does Barret. While she moves her right arm up as well as Cloud. Then Level 2 Tifa needs to shift both arms forward along with you two. Then finally Level 3 is a repeat of Level 1," Naruto said while they nodded.
"Follow my lead," Tifa said before she shifted her left arm down and her right arm up followed by the other two disengaging the Alpha-level security. "Good now the second level," Tifa said before she shifted her arms forward along with the others disengaging the Beta level security. "Now the Gamma level security," Tifa said before repeating what they did to disengage Alpha and shut down the Gamma security.
"Hold on a second there seemed to be one more level," Naruto said before going through the info.
"Ok for this one Tifa needs to shift her left arm up followed by Barret while she shifts her right arm down along with Cloud," Naruto said. Making them nod and they did as instructed. Before they all heard Delta level security was disengaged. Then the door opened making them smile.
"We did it, HA! take that Shinra," Barret said, making the others smile. Then Tifa gave them a high five. Then, she looked at Naruto before walking to him and kissing him. Making him smile wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed back making Cloud and Barret smile before they ended the kiss and left for the room.
"Materia ahoy," Barret said before Naruto picked it up and got a feel for it.
"A magic up Materia huh?" Naruto said. Before he shrugged and tossed it to Tifa who nodded. Then Cloud pulled the lever and canisters slid down.
Then they opened the canisters, getting the 4 A.I. cores and 2 Big bombers.
"Well, these will come in handy. The A.I. cores though I am sure we could sell for a very pretty gil," Naruto said, making them nod.
"Can we take a break? You know before we fight this thing?" Tifa asked, making the other's nod.
"There should be a bench now that we unlocked the door," Naruto said before they made their way through the now-unlocked door. Then found the bench Naruto said might be in the room before they all sat down. With Tifa once again taking her place in Naruto's lap making him smile wrapping his arms around her midsection.
Then Naruto groaned softly when he felt Tifa wiggle her butt against his clothed dick making her grin.
"Be careful Tifa-chan. It won't go well for you if you continue to tease me," Naruto said whispering in her ear. Making her gasp and flush when he started drawing circles with his finger near her skirt.
"So what can we expect from this Air Buster?" Barret asked, smirking when he saw Tifa's flushed face.
"Not sure. I didn't bother asking Scarlet how to weaken it. But it isn't the most important thing at the moment," Naruto said, making Cloud and Tifa nod.
"So how is your back Naruto-kun?" Tifa asked, looking over her shoulder. Then they saw his grin.
"Still a bit sore but nothing I can't handle," Naruto said, making her nod. Still not loving the fact he was sneak attacked like that.
~10 minutes later~
"Well I suppose we can't put it off any longer," Naruto said, making everyone nod before they all stood up. Including a reluctant Tifa before Naruto went to the machine and picked up soundtrack 2 labeled Bombing Mission.
"Hey Cloud, is there a reward for collecting all these tracks?" Naruto asked. While Cloud just shrugged.
"Who knows," Cloud responded before they made their way out and toward a catwalk. Then they saw drones which made a picture of Lucius show up. Who began spouting nonsense about how Shinra was the good guys.
Then the image changed to Heidegger. Who mocked them saying how they never were in control.
"Sir we have a problem. The drones can't tamper with the bomb," a trooper said, making him see red and turning to Naruto.
"General Uzumaki as your Leader, I order you to surrender the code to me," Heidegger demanded, expecting Naruto to still follow orders. Only for Naruto to pull down his eyelids with his middle fingers and stick out his tongue. Making Haidegger growl in anger
"I regret ever granting you the title of General. Even if there was no war," Heidegger said seething before he calmed down "Fine then you can die," Heidegger said before they saw the Air Buster brought in by Helicopter. Forcing them to move when it was dropped in the center.
"Cloud assess," Naruto ordered, making him nod and see it was weak to lightning.
"LIGHT HIM UP," Naruto shouted before they started shooting lightning at it. However, it was taking longer to stagger.
"Tifa, Barret, you attack from its blind spot. Our lightning isn't doing much," Naruto said, making them nod even if he couldn't see it.
Then Barret and Tifa started wailing on the thing managing to stagger it. Before Cloud and Naruto started going ham on it.
Then the Air buster started retreating. Then it started charging up, making Naruto widen his eyes.
"TAKE COVER!" Naruto shouted before Barret and Tifa got away along with Naruto and Cloud. Just as The air Buster fired a wide-ranged attack
"EAT THIS HELL THUNDAGA!" Naruto shouted, blasting it with his lightning spell, and staggering it. But only managing to bring it down to only half of its health.
"That should have worked," Naruto said. Then it started flying out of range of their attacks.
"Oh you want to play that way do you?" Naruto asked before bringing out a Materia he forgot he had.
'I honestly can't believe I forgot I had Phoenix and Bahamut. I must be slipping," Naruto thought, chuckling at him making an old joke about himself even if he is only in his 20s.
"Time to feel the wrath of a dragon," Naruto said before he unleashed the King of Dragons himself, Bahamut.
"Now it is an even playing field," Naruto said, jumping on Bahamut's back and giving chase.
"Bahamut, let's show this thing what power is," Naruto said with a smirk.
"You got it," Bahamut said. Before he started chasing the mech and launching fireballs at it. While Tifa and the others watched the aerial dogfight in amazement.
~10 minutes later~
"Ok as much as I would like to prolong this fight. I think it's time to end it," Naruto said before launching a lightning blast. Taking down the Air Buster, sending it crashing but still functional.
"Bahamut I think it's time for the MegaFlare," Naruto said, jumping off and landing on the catwalk. Then Bahamut took to the sky above the mech, opened his mouth, and let loose its strongest attack.
Which worked. Unfortunately, the attack also blew up not only the Air Buster. But also part of the catwalk separating the three from Naruto.
"NARUTO/NARUTO-KUN!" everyone shouted. Seeing Naruto hanging off the edge on the other side of the catwalk.
"Don't worry I'll be fine. You three just make your way back to Sector 7," Naruto said, making them widen their eyes at his words.
"No we are not leaving you behind," Tifa said with tears in her eyes before Naruto smiled at them.
"Bahamut, please take the three back to Sector 7," Naruto said, making Bahamut nod trusting his brother. Then took the three away on his back.
"NARUTO-KUN NO!" Tifa shouted. As they flew away before the catwalk gave out and Naruto started falling. Before he used his grapple gun to hold on to say one final thing.
"Detonation code MAELSTROM," Naruto said before the bomb blew up reactor 5, pissing off Shinra. Then the grapple line gave way, plunging Naruto to his death.
Or so everyone thought. Including one blonde Director.
~Shinra HQ~
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN NARUTO-KUN IS GONE!" Scarlet furiously shouted. Holding a trooper up by his uniform as he trembled in fear at the furious blonde woman.
"I'm sorry ma'am we lost the feed as soon as his summon blasted the Air Buster and was destroyed. Then we heard that girl shout his name and then nothing," the trooper said, honestly scared for his life.
'Naruto-kun I hope you're safe. Otherwise, I will never be able to prove myself worthy of your trust,' Scarlet thought before she carefully sat down her subordinate and sat in her chair.
"I wouldn't worry too much ma'am Naruto is resilient. He won't die from a fall like that," Kunsei said, believing it himself while Scarlet smiled.
"You're right Kunsei, he is alive. Besides he did survive Hojo's heinous experiments," Scarlet said, shivering in disgust of the woman she used to be.
'I'm so happy I am not that vile person anymore thanks to him,' Scarlet thought despite being so cold to him.
~flashback~
General Uzumaki a word?" Scarlet asked a shirtless Naruto who was training like his life depended on it. Paying no mind to the scars that were on him. Mostly because of the way Hojo was experimenting on him when they found him.
"Madam Director," Naruto said before he stopped his training, put on his shirt, and walked with her.
~Lobby~
"Why?" Scarlet asked, confusing Naruto.
"Why what ma'am?" Naruto asked before she turned to him with a glare. Trying to be intimidating while Naruto just smiled unafraid of her.
"Why are you so calm around me? Despite people saying what a hard ass and a strict person I am?" Scarlet asked while Naruto smiled even more.
"Because I know it isn't who you are ma'am," Naruto said. Making her eyes widen if only slightly.
"Explain," Scarlet said in a soft tone, making Naruto smile a bit less.
"I am not sure that I can ma'am. I just get the feeling that I have met people like you who need to be tough on the outside to get by. Especially in a company like Shinra. But deep down I don't know I just have a feeling you are a nice person," Naruto said before a ghost of a smile appeared on her face.
'Perhaps he is right. I mean I have gotten so used to wearing a mask that it has become part of me,' Scarlet thought with a frown.
"Return to your training General," Scarlet ordered.
MA'AM!" Naruto saluted before he turned and walked away.
"Uzumaki," Scarlet called out, making Naruto stop. Then looks back at her before she looks around, seeing the vacant lobby.
"My name is Scarlet when it is just us or people I trust. Got it?" Scarlet asked, making Naruto smile.
"As you wish Scarlet-chan," Naruto said before walking away, missing the blush on her face.
~flashback end~
'If it wasn't for him. That mask would have become a permanent part of me,' Scarlet thought, thinking of how Naruto saved her from herself that day and dearly hoped he was alive. Otherwise, she could truly say goodbye to her second chance.
Well, that was another good chap if I do say so myself. Not one of my favorites though if I am being honest. But it was needed to set up the scene for everyone's other favorite. Next to Tifa.
Anyway, I had to put in a lot more things because when I was almost finished with the chap. I realized it would only be 4 pages long. Which to me just wasn't going to cut it. So I had to come up with a few things to make it longer.
