Winter Berserk and A Flickering Flame!

(EARLIER)

After they had their break, Winter resumed her magic training practice with Saura and Miku's tutoring.

Saura's advice of staying calm for Winter works out so-so but still unleash strong blizzards whenever she gets emotional and Miku had keep reminding the female Cryolophosaurus, much to his irritation.

After an hour of training, it's time to call it a day and so, Saura and Miku decided to introduce Winter to their friends in Secret Garden.

Right now at this moment, the little flying Pterosaurs were surrounding them, some while in mid-air or sitting on Saura's shoulder and lap.

They're really happy that the young female human came to play with them.

Especially Blue, the young Yi Qi was crying in happiness to see her.

"Hyaa~ Saura! You finally come to see me! I'm so happy! I was worried you'd abandoned me!" Blue cried out with waterfall tears.

"Oh Blue... We're friends, aren't we? Of course I'd still come to see you." Saura comfort the crying tiny bird dinosaur.

"Um... Miss Blue...? Do you like Saura very much?" Winter asked shyly.

"Of course, I do! Saura's the very first friend I've made! I even made a speech how I like Saura!" Blue responded with a proud look as she continue. "Ahem! I call it, 'My Beloved Friend: Saura!'"

Hearing this, Miku feel his jealousy rising as he had a tick mark on his head.

"I, Blue, the Yi Qi. My very first friend, Saura is a wonderful, kind and beautiful human. She's someone who sees me for who I am and not minding that I'm a dinosaur who brings misfortune. I wish I could be by side more-..."

"How dare you, Blue?!"

Before she could continue, she was suddenly cut of by Miku's angry shout followed by a multiple wing slap, slapping Blue's face!

Saura, Winter and the others gasp in shock by the scene.

"M-Miku, that hurt." Blue cried.

"Was that speech of yours just to make me jealous? It's unforgivable!" Miku said madly as he and Blue were caught in a quarrel cloud.

During the past years, every time Saura and Miku came to the Secret Garden to play or visit the guardians, Blue would always be the first to show up and gave Saura the surprise hug as she cried or said that something about whether if her misfortunes spread on her and that she'll never come to the Secret Garden again.

But that's not the only thing Miku's worry about. The part he finds irritating was that when Blue said that she likes Saura the same way as him or if Saura starts paying more attention to her which intentionally made Blue, his rival which Blue finds it complicated since she's not the type to start conflict.

Saura sensing danger, she called out to Miku and Blue inside the quarrel cloud, stopping them in their tracks the moment they heard Saura calling their names.

"Miku! Blue! Please stop!"

They stop and look up as they made awkward faces when they see Winter shaking in fear.

"A... A fight?! A fight between friends?! How awful!"

WOOSH

Winter lost her calm as she unleash her blizzard again covering everyone in snow!

Both Miku and Blue realize that their quarrel made Winter upset and decided to take responsibility to calm her down.

"W-Winter, relax! We're actually really good friends!" Miku act first and signal Blue to follow him as she nods.

"See! Look, look!"

The black Microraptor and blue Yi Qi sing merrily claw to claw with a spring field in the background when it's still covered in snow from the blizzard Winter unleashed.

"I... I see. Thank goodness." The female Cryolophosaurus sigh in relief, finally calmed down.

"Cold~" The other Pterosaurs were shivering from the cold.

After calming the upset Cryolophosaurus from watching Miku and Blue's fighting, Saura suggests that it's time to play some games together. The game they're playing was called 'chase the prey'.

They were having a fun time... That is until...

"Hey, you kids! Get out of my way!" A chibi male dinosaur said from a rustling bush.

"Huh?"

Saura, Miku, Blue and Winter turn to the voice.

Appear from the bush, a small bipedal feathered dinosaur, a Chirostenotes appear. It's yellowish-green and orange colured. Its name means "narrow hand" because it has three long, clawed fingers on each hand and it's an omnivore.

"Oh no, not him again." Miku sigh with a frown.

"Um... Who is this dinosaur?" Winter asked.

"That's Keenan." Saura answered. "You don't want to get involve with him. He's a big bully."

Keenan the Chirostenotes was a chibi dinosaur despite being a small kid, was a big bully of all dinosaurs living in Dino Village. He likes being the boss and takes pleasure in bullying dinosaurs who he thinks is lower than him. Nobody wanted to be near him because of his bad personality and Erma always warns the other chibis to stay clear and away from him. Saura too dislike Keenan because he made fun of her just because she's born a human, a commoner, a species of lower level status than dinosaurs who are superior from what he thought.

"Hey, I heard that, you human! You dare insult me?!" Keenan snapped and using his small jaw, he grip Saura's skirt and pull her.

"Ah! No, let me go!" Saura tried to pull back her skirt, carefully not to rip it.

"Saura!" Miku and Blue cried. They wanted to save Saura but can't because of their tiny size. They can only watch but at the same time feeling frustrated.

Winter seeing this, decided to try something, knowing that Miku and Blue don't have the strength to. She slowly walk to them at the same time feeling nervous.

"U-Um... P-please let go of Saura." Winter ask the male Chirostenotes nicely.

Keenan turn his head, facing the female Cryolophosaurus. He've never seen her before but the feeling of being interfere made him snap in anger.

"SHUT UP! YOU STAY OUT OF THIS!" Keenan yell at Winter.

Feeling shock and scared... Winter starts to panic.

"S-So scary...! What is he? Could he be? Could he be... A delinquent?! What should I do at a time like this? Oh, I don't get it. I don't get it." Winter sways back and forth, getting emotionally upset again.

Knowing what's going to happen next, everyone starts to panic, preparing for another of Winter's blizzard outburst.

"Ah, I don't get it!" Feeling her emotions rising, losing her calm again.

"Brace yourself everyone!" Saura embrace Miku and Blue to protect them while Keenan ran away in a flash.

"I DON'T GET IT!!!"

Winter's blizzard, this time, was stronger which blows everyone away as they try to hold on their ground.

Unlike the previous blizzard outbursts, this one is the most dangerous and not only that, it's getting out of control, making everywhere covered in pure white snow and loud, strong howling blizzards.

The other dinosaurs were covered in white snow and feeling so cold, they couldn't move a leg almost as if they're frozen.

"Pwah!" Saura gasp as she manage to get out of the snow with Miku and Blue in her arms. "Miku and Blue. Are you two alright?"

"I'm fine."

"Me too."

"Thank goodness. But... Where's Winter? And... Where are we? Brr... So cold!" Saura said trying to keep herself warm by blowing warm breath on her hands.

Miku and Blue, using their feathery wings, they sit on her shoulders and give her a warm cuddle on the cheeks.

"Here Saura. How's this?"

"We'll keep you warm."

Feeling the warm wings of her tiny friends, she smile. "Thank you. But, what about Winter?"

Looking around, all she see was all white and blinding blizzards still blowing.

"Saura!"

A familiar voice call out to her and from behind, she sees a shadow and running footsteps.

"Saura! Are you there? Can you hear me?"

"That's... Suzy's voice. Suzy! Over here!"

Suzy, a Deinonychus and the wind guardian, Sleet's partner arrive in time, just when they needed.

"Suzy!"

"Saura! Miku! Blue! Thank goodness, you're OK!"

They hug each other in relief.

"But Suzy... How do you know where we were?" Saura asked feeling confused how Suzy managed to find them so fast.

"Oh, actually, I used the power of wind to find you by locating your voice." Suzy answered.

Voices are sounds that connects to wind because they're invisible to a naked eye but can be heard. Suzy learned this from Sleet and wind is useful to know where sounds would be located. Using this wind variation technique, she used it to locate Saura's voice after she heard Winter's cry from earlier before she unleashed her snow power.

"I see. Thanks for finding us!"

"Your welcome. But... Looks like we're in a big mess. This cold stuff your new friend gives off, it's getting worse." Suzy look at the once beautiful Secret Garden, now turning into a cold white land.

"I have to find Winter. I have to calm her down. It's the only way to stop all this snow." Saura ask. "Suzy, will you help us?"

"Of course. Since you've been blessed by the wind, would you like to try the technique I've used earlier to find you?" Suzy said.

"Really? Please! This is for Winter's sake!"

"Very well, then. Follow my lead." Suzy smile, seeing the strong resolve in Saura's eyes to help a friend with an uncontrollable magic power.

"First, close your eyes and concentrate."

"Yes." Saura follow Suzy's instructions begin.

"Next, focus and see if you can detect a sound, even if it's faint."

"Yes." In Saura's mind, despite still hearing the blowing winds, she found a small but faint voice. "That way."

"Are you sure, Saura?" Miku said.

"I think so."

"Don't worry. You're still learning it. Come on. Let's go." Suzy said.

"Yes!" Saura quickly went straight not knowing that she was leaving the 4 dinosaurs behind.

"Ah, Saura! Wait for us!"

Meanwhile, the wounded female Megalosaurus from earlier when she fought the Zombiesaur T-Rex was covered in snow still hurt and weak from the injury.

(MEI'S POV)

My name is Mei. I'm a Megalosaurus as one of the fire dinosaurs living in Misty Paradise.

Throughout my life, I've been living in a happy family filled with the art of passion in song. That's because I've watched the male fire theropods and female water theropods performing their own style of song.

Ever since then, my dream is to be singer!

But, there's just one problem. Because I'm the only young female of the fire dinosaurs other than the adults, both the young and older males make fun of me and think there's no way a female fire dinosaur like me can be a singer. Even the female water dinosaurs won't help me.

Why?

Because of this, I ran away from Misty Paradise. It pains me and it hurts so much. That is until that strange purple dinosaur suddenly attacked me, injuring my back painfully... Until I managed to fight back, saving myself with the help of my limited strength and magic I have left! Then the white stuff appear.

My tears begin to pour down like a waterfall. Part of me think maybe it's good not to be drown in despair and not listening to their bad encouragement anymore but... I... I haven't got the chance to sing. My dream will never come true!

I... I want to sing! Please, somebody save me!

(MEI'S POV END)

Saura found a strange piled up snow. She sweep the snow off and found a hurtful theropod's face with tears with her back covered in blood and teeth marks.

"Are you alright?" Saura asked gently. "You're hurt!"

"W-who?"

Saura heard it's voice to be female.

"Don't worry. Let me heal you. My name's Saura. What's your name?" Saura smile gently as she raise her hand over the theropod's injured back.

"Mei. Mei Megalosaurus."

"Mei...? How beautiful. It fits you perfectly." Saura's rainbow light magic activates, healing Mei's back.

The Rainbow light shines fully healed her injured back, making Mei's eye widen in astonish.

"My back?! They're... healed?!"

"You're all better now, Mei." Saura smile.

'How mysterious. This human. But, for some reason, I feel really happy around her.' Mei thought.

Suddenly, the blizzards getting stronger again making Saura gasp as she remembered something important.

"I have to go find Winter! It's nice meeting you, Mei. See you!" After Saura said her goodbye to Mei, she quickly left, leaving Mei behind as she watches the human girl leave as the wind blocks her view.

"Saura... Thank you. I'll never forget you."

"Now then, let's try this one more time. 'Wind Search'!" Saura close her eyes and focus on tracing any sign of the Cryolophosaurus' voice.

...

Focusing on the sound waves in the air, Saura could hear Winter's voice from somewhere.

It's Winter's desperation cry!

"That way? Winter! Don't worry, I'm coming for you... Just as soon as I find Miku, Blue and Suzy."

Here's the new chapter! Sorry for the wait!

Now I know I said 2 weeks for each updated chapter, but then there's one more week before Christmas, so I decided to put it in Christmas as a present for you readers.

The Megalosaurus now fully introduce itself as Mei and about why she appears from the previous chapter.

Keenan the Chirostenotes who is the bully dinosaur from Dinosaur Train made a cameo appearance. I don't own it!

1. That would be interesting to see what would happen if Saura unlock a fire element magic. But since she helped a Megalosaurus in this chapter who was a fire dinosaur, she'll definitely be in gor a surprise. Once the Zombiesaurs are defeated, they can't be brought back to life again since they found their weak point, by smashing their heads.

Maybe, if they can...

2. I already did added a chibi Apatosaurus in Chapter 6 and that's it. As you can see, I did add some bad or trouble-making dinosaur like a bully from Keenan the Chirostenotes.

Both Zongazonga and Zinnia are magic users, so they don't need any dinosaur partners. Besides, Zongazonga has the ability to transform into a Dinosaur like in the game, and I have plans for him soon.
