The Underground Sun Queen Pt. 2!

The sun's starts to set from all the new friends we made in 1 day and now it's night time. Since it's dark out and not a good idea to return home to the orphanage, we decided to sleep at the Misty Paradise in Granpa Bengala's comfortable room for humans.

It's strange sleeping in an unfamiliar place and room so I'm having a difficult time sleeping.

"Saura, what's wrong? Can't sleep?" Miku, sensing I'm awake, he asked.

I nod. "It feels unfamiliar sleeping in a place outside of my own bed safely at Dino Village."

"Me too. I feel the same." Miku hop on to my shoulder as he gave me a soft nudge on my face.

"Say, why don't we take a walk on the beach?"

"Yeah, that's a good idea. We could use some fresh air."

We exit the guest bedroom as we make our way to the beach, walking along the shore, listening to waves of the sea. A beautiful full moon out in the sky, how mystifying.

Huh? I hear something. It's coming from the old stage. It sounds like... Music.

(IN THE OLD STAGE)

In there, I find Mei humming her made-up song she's going to compose.

"Mei!" I call out to my Megalosaurus friend.

"Ah! Oh it's you, Saura." Mei look startled but then sigh in relief when it's just her human friend and benefactor. "W-what are you doing here?"

"I couldn't sleep. I just need some fresh air." I answered. "What about you, Mei? Are you still working on your song?"

"More or less." Mei answerd. "I don't know, I've never even written a song before. I'm not sure I'm confident enough to even compose my first song of my own."

"Well, Miku and I are looking forward to hearing you sing. It's your dream after all." I encouragely said and Miku nodding.

"Do you really think... I can make my dream come true?" Mei said.

"Of course you can! After all, thanks to Miss Terri, you have the motivation to take that first step! You'll be the greatest fire-type female theropod, after Miss Terri, singer that'll make those males drop dead!"

My words made us all laugh!

Hidden from the shadows, Terri was watching the young ones having fun and glad that the young female Megalosaurus has friends she can count on.

The next day, Mei spent the entire night coming up with a song but no luck and she's barely get any sleep despite being determined by Terri to show those male theropods that she have the chance to prove that she can sing.

"Are you okay, Mei? You look like a walking mess."

"Didn't sleep one bit?" Miku said.

"No, I've been up all night composing and it's not even close." Mei sigh and yawn.

"It must be tough, let's get some breakfast." I pet Mei's head to comfort her.

"'Yawn'... Yeah... Let's... Eat..."

Once we've reach the dining room, all of the fire and water theropods were waiting patiently for their food to be served.

When we take our seats, we were, unpleasantly, meet face to face with Eric and his fellow theropods. When he saw Mei, he started to bully her.

"Well, well, if it isn't the pity Megalosaurus that doesn't worth being a singer." Eric taunted.

Mei frown and look down, trying her best to not let his comment get to her. Just before I could help my friend, a certain Tyrannosaurus Rex come.

"Stop it, Eric." Terri said, getting in front of the Eocarcharia's face. "That's not how a gentleman should act to a lady."

Eric backed away. "Well if it isn't Terri the binary theropod." He huff. "Don't tell me, you come to get in the way of defending this female theropod that wants to sing but run away with her tails between her legs?"

"You got it wrong, Eric." Terri said in defense. "It's because of you and the other's bullying her that made her run away in the first place. She's only a young one, after all. You hurt her feelings!"

"Feelings?" The bully Eocarcharia scoff. "Fire theropds and fearless and strong dinosaurs out of them all. Male or female both should be as they suppose to be. This girl fail as both a fire type and a Dinosaur!"

The other dinosaurs who witness the scene started to feel a bit of guilt inside, both male and female.

"Oh, is that how you really see us like that?" Terri said deeply. She then stomp hard on the ground, causing a shockwave of earthquake, shaking everyone. "In that case, Eric, let's battle! To a song showdown! Just like the first dinosaurs who founded Misty Paradise year ago!"

Gasps begin to echo as every dinosaur present whispering to each other.

"A battle?"

"A song showdown?!"

Mei, Winter, Miku and I were worried if the Tyrant Lizard Queen will be alright.

"Oh, you want a showdown? You're a female yourself!" Eric reminded Terri of her real gender. "You may act like a male well but do you really think that "you" can sing like we males do?"

"You bet I can!" Terri said confidently. "I'll prove to you boys and to all the girls that wish to be singers to take the first step. I will win!"

Mei and the other female fire theropods were in awe, especially Mei. They started cheering for the female T-Rex!

"Fine then, show us what you can do... Right after we eat our fill."

"It's on!"

For breakfast, Grandpa Bengala have his head chef, Carcharadontosaurus named Chef C prepared some leftover caught fish, Guardian Lazula managed to find with some help from her water dinosaurs before Elasmosaurus Zombiesaur invaded the waters. Unfortunately, there's not enough to fill every dinosaur's stomachs.

"That's all the food we have for today?"

"It's not enough!"

"We're still hungry!"

The theropods of the whole Misty Paradise started asking for more to feed and they're asking for their chef for more grub! The whole island is in riot! If not taken care of it immediately, they'll end up fighting each other up until the last one standing!

RIOT!

RIOT!!

RIOT!!!

Blasts of fire shot everywhere in a chaos. While the fire spreads and burning, the water theropods used their water powers to put the flames out.

Lazula and Bengala were talking to each other.

"Bengala, whatever shall we do?!" Lazula panic. "My girls can't keep this up forever!"

To solve the problem would be to exterminate the Elasmosaurus Zombiesaur so that it's safe for the Spinosaurids to catch more fish. However, there's no time to deal with it.

Fortunately, a savior came to the rescue... And that's me, Saura!

I got to the kitchen of Misty Paradise with Chef C. It's very stony in appearance compared to my cabin's and Lampla's nature-appearance kitchen. While searching for ingredients, I found 2 large barrels. When I open it, inside was beans, soybeans to be exact!

"Why are there soybeans, a Herbivore food, here in a fire and water dinosaur home?

"It's a gift from Guardian Lampla." Grandpa Bengala said.

"Granpa Bengala!"

"She said that those soybeans could be useful for our food list. But since I have no knowledge on how to incorporate them with fish, they've been put aside since our dinosaurs of Misty Paradise don't eat greenery, unlike the omnivore theropods in Secret Garden in Lampla's and Sleet's care." The guardian of fire explained.

Leaving these soybeans aside without even trying is wasteful. I wonder if there's a way to make good use of it for the carnivore dinosaurs to eat.

Just then, I remembered something! In Sleet's library, in one of the books I've read when looking for more recipes to make other than sweets, I've come across a part about soybeans can be used to create artifical meat!

Some theropods that come from faraway lands before coming to Dainason Kingdom have hunted other dinosaurs for their meat besides fishing. For those who found their way into Dainason don't have to hunt others for food anymore since fish meat is all the necessary food they need.

Because of the low quantity of fishes left, all of the theropods will have to go back to lifestyle of hunting each other and the Herbivore dinosaurs will be in danger!

Luckily, thanks to these 2 barrels of soybeans for creating artificial meat, we can make enough portion for a hundred dinosaurs that'll last for a month until the fishes grow more in numbers.

"I have an idea how to use these soybeans!"

"How?" Chef C and Bengala said.

"Just follow my instructions and with your help, we'll have enough to feed everyone for a month!"

"A month?!" Both guardian and chef said surprisingly.

I nodded.

"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get to work!"

While Chef C work on the fire for cooking, Grandpa Bengala and I work on the soybeans.

Meanwhile, in the dining as Saura work on the new food, Lazula and her girls put out the flames as they tried to calm the rioting dinosaurs who were starving!

As for Winter, as nervous as she gets from witnessing a conflicting scene, tried calming herself with Miku and Mei by her side and not to cause another snowstorm.

"Must... remain... calm." Winter breath in and out. "Please Saura, hurry!"

Moments later, in the kitchen after an hour of preparation, many large plates of artificial meat made out of soybeans is complete!

The meat looks like a steak, only it's not too greasy and the taste is just like a real meat flavor! I'll bet the theropods will never be able to tell that they're made out of soybeans of the herbivore type.

"Come on, let's bring it to everyone, on the double!"

"Yes, my lady!"

With the meat brought out, in an instant, when the fire theropods smell it's scent they instantly stop the riot!

"Is that... What I think it is?"

All the dinosaurs look at the new delicacy on the plates as they begin to drool. Then they all started eating and... The result was a success!

"It's... Delicious!"

"Meat... Oh meat!"

"How nostalgic to eat this feeling!"

"Fish is nice but meat is great!"

All the theropods ate up all the meat with sparkling eyes and roars of joy! They love it!

"Thank you, Chef C!"

"Oh it wasn't me, you all should thank Saura. She's the one who come up with the idea." Chef C the Carcharadontosaurus point at me.

"Really? This human made it?"

I nodded. "Yes, the meat you all ate were artificial meat made out of soybeans."

"What?! Soybeans? You mean those tiny round things that the herbivores eat?"

"I have to admit it but, it was really delicious and a nostalgic feeling of eating meat other than fish." A female Spinosaurus said.

At first the theropods were shock about the information but they admitted it that it's a surprising way of using it to make something like meat out of them. It's a new feeling.

"Everyone, we have enough of these meat to last for a month. So until the the Zombiesaur of the water has been dealt with, let's all work together to preserve them!" Bengala declared and all the theropods bow their heads to their lord.

"Yes, Lord Bengala!"

The Guardian of Water, Lazula thought out her expression of thanks to Saura. "Princess Saura has grown. Her intelligence would be one of the blessings our kingdom will need." She smile and hope some time in the future will happen.

Thanks for waiting, but here's the next chapter! Man, working out a song for Teresa 'Terri' T-Rex AKA Underground Sun Queen is a lot of hard work and not to mention the busy schedule I have but I finally found the right song for her to sing for the showdown in the next chapter.

In the meantime, since the fishes are low as I wrote in chapter 21, the dinosaurs of Misty Paradise would stave to death if the Z-Elasmo isn't stop. I've found a way to make it happen meanwhile, the idea of using soybeans to make artifical meat comes from Black Butler: Book of Murder. I don't own it!

Yeah, the antagonists Zombiesaurs will be in their respective places.

Do you really want Boneysaurs to show in the story? Then please tell me how their fighting skills are.

Well the fashions are all made from Lampla's magic and using plants. Think of Thumbelina from Barbie when she used her power to make a bag out of a small leaf. It's one of a kind!

Zongazonga will appear just later at the right time.
