The Deep Trench's Treasure!

After that mysterious red raptor saved us from the villainous Z-Elasmo and Futaba Boneysaur, we swam away heading towards our next clue which is at the Deep Trench.

As we were swimming to the Deep Trench, I was lost in thought, thinking about that red raptor. When I look into his golden eyes, I feel something familiar about it, despite meeting him for the first time.

Doris, who noticed me dazing, called out. "Saura, are you alright?"

I snap out and look at my water human friend. I shake my head. "It's nothing, Doris. Thanks."

"Are you thinking about that red dino that rescued us?" Doris guessed.

I widen my eyes. I slowly nodded. "I don't know why, but I feel there's something...familiar about him."

"Really? Have you met him, before?"

"Well, not exactly. But... It's hard to explain it and also, I didn't get to know his name."

"Well, I'm sure we'll meet him again, maybe." Doris pat my back, reassuring me.

Feeling better, we continue swimming to our next destination, The Deep Trench!

(MEANWHILE)

As for Phoenix Pyroraptor, he swam quickly out of the Boneyard cave to search for the zombie Elasmosaurus that got away after his victorious battle against the Futaba Boneysaur.

Looking left and right, he lost sight of Z-Elasmo. He growl in frustration!

"I can't believe it got away!"

Calming down, his face softens when he remembered that in his new life as a Pyroraptor dinosaur, he got to see his daughter in his first life as human.

"At least, I get to see Saura again. I'm glad she's doing well and how much she's grown. She even made friends!"

As a land dinosaur, he knows he needs air to breathe even though he can swim. So, Phoenix headed for the surface.

Once he's on the surface, he breath in the air and sigh.

"By the way, I thought there's only Zombiesaurs, Zongazonga created so... What's up with that skeleton that came back to life?" Phoenix thought back to his battle with the Futaba Boneysaur and that strange wisp that surrounds Z-Elasmo earlier.

"In any case, I have to report this new finding to Zinnia right away!"

Swimming as fast as he can until he sees the castle, and Phoenix sends his finding report to the Lavender Witch.

As for Z-Elasmo that escaped, it once again possessed by Zongazonga's spirit, taking host of its body.

Having watch the battle earlier, he's crossed that his Boneysaur experiment was easily defeated by that red raptor who came to the princess and her friends' rescue.

"I don't know who that raptor in red is but he's now an enemy that must be aware of."

Using the dead Elasmosaurus' body to swim, he still have some investigation to do as well as doing some more experiments.

(SAURA AND FRIENDS)

Reaching to our destination, the Deep Trench. Like the name says, it's a dark, wide and deep trench.

When we look down in the trench, the bottom looks like it's endless.

"That's a really deep trench..." I said to Doris wo respond with a nod.

"Are there anything dangerous we should worry about?" Miku asked.

"Well, the Deep Trench is one of the most creepiest place to go to besides the Old Boneyard but..." Doris started.

"According to the water dinosaurs who dared to venture in will experience some scary experience and some who made it out safely just said that they never wanted to go in again." Momo finished.

We shiver at the thought about what kind of scary experience but since the clue is in there means that whoever found it will follow to the treasure, meaning the clue will stay safe from anyone bad.

"Well, we won't get anywhere feeling scared, our next clue is in that trench and we have to get it!"

"You're right. Shall we go?" Doris said.

Miku look into the trench again and his face starts to pale. "Um... I think I should stay behind."

"What's wrong, Miku?" I hold Miku's bubble. "Are you scared?"

Miku nodded.

Since Miku's small, just looking at the wide creepy trench is enough to make him flinch. Feeling pity, I turn to Doris and Momo.

"I think Miku's too scared to go."

"Oh, is that so?" Doris said.

"I kinda understand his feeling." Momo nodded.

"In that case, how about Momo stay with Miku while Saura and I go retrieve the next clue." Doris offered.

"Me and Doris? Will that be alright, Miku?"

"You don't need to worry, Saura." Doris assured. "Momo, despite her size, she's a feisty fighter. She'll be able to protect Miku for you until we return with the clue."

Momo nodded confidently. "You can count on me. I'll protect Miku for you, Saura."

"Alright then. Please take care of Miku for me, Momo." After Momo nodded yes, I turn to Miku and blow him a kiss. "Stay safe, Miku."

"You too, Saura. Oh and Doris, make sure my best friend stays safe as well." Miku told Doris.

"Of course, I will!"

After wishing each other for our safe return, Doris and I set out into the Deep Trench, swimming down.

Miku and Momo look on with worried expressions.

(INSIDE DEEP TRENCH)

Swimming into the Deep Trench as we look at it's surrounding, it gives off a creepy feeling almost similar to the Old Boneyard. I wonder what kind of scary experiences the past water dinosaurs had when they enter here?

As we swim deeper below, we felt a strong underwater current that's pushing us away from going through.

"What a strong current!" Doris grunt.

"Could this be what they said about the scary experience?" I questioned.

"I doubt it. They can just match this strong current without a sweat." Doris answered.

"if the strong current isn't one of those scary things, then what is?"

"I have no idea."

We continued swimming while enduring the pushing current. However, the deeper we swim, the stronger the current gets! While Doris' swims, she's getting further, and I can't seem to keep up!

"Doris, wait for me!" I tried swimming as fast as I can since Doris is getting further from me.

"You can do it, Saura!" Doris cheered. "Come on!"

Doris continued swimming deeper while I'm trying my best flapping my tail to get to my friend.

The deeper we get, the stronger the underwater current pushes us but since Doris have a lot of stamina swimming in the water all her life while I only just gained my tail transformation only 2 days ago, I don't have the stamina to match her.

"Ugh... I can't... Doris, it's too much!" I called out to her who's getting ahead.

"But I'm almost there... In that case, I'll get the clue myself!"

"But I can't just go back, we have to work together! Just come back and we'll figure something out!"

"If we do that, we might be too late! Don't worry, I can do this!" Without another thought, Doris resume swimming.

Watching her swimming away alone made me feel useless since I'm not adapt to water than my friend who lived in water all her life. I sigh sadly, with no other choice, I slowly turn back.

In Doris point of view, she's swimming harder, enduring the underwater current pushing her. As she's getting closer, she found some large seaweeds all around.

"How strange to find some greenery here in the Deep Trench despite that zombie Elasmosaurus withering them away.

When trying to avoid the big seaweed, what she didn't know was that the seaweeds have caught Doris' tail, seemingly pulling her to it.

"Hey!" She found her tail being grab by the seaweed, pulling her from advancing. "Ow, cut it out!"

Unfornutely, the harder she tried to pull away, the stronger it gets. Once the seaweed pull Doris closer to it, he the other seaweeds started encasing in, like a cage!

"No! Saura, help!" Doris shouted.

Slowly swimming out of the trench, and I heard Doris screaming!

"HELP! SAURA!"

"Doris!" I gasp and start swimming into the deep trench again, trying my best to endure the current.

"HELP ME! SAURA!"

"I'm coming, Doris!"

Swimming the best I can, I can see Doris trapped in a seaweed-like cage!

"Hold on Doris!" Giving all I got, my desire to save my friend made my tail flap harder than ever, overcoming the current and found myself getting closer and finally made it!

Doris gasp and smile in relief! "Saura! you made it!"

"Yeah, don't worry. I'm gonna get you out of here! Stand back."

Doris move a little bit to the back as I raise my hand, preparing a sharp wind magic.

"Wind Cutter!"

I wave my hand as the summoned wind form as it slashes the seaweeds, freeing Doris!

"Come on." I hold out a hand to her and she grab it.

"Thank you."

Before we can celebrate being safe, I felt my tail being grab by another seaweed! "Ahh"

"No, let Saura go, you seaweed!"

Followed what I did before, Doris used her water magic to try and slash the seaweed!

"Hydro Cutter!"

The water form into a small sharp blade wave, and slashing the seaweed, freeing me.

"Thank you, Doris!"

"Haha, we just saved each other!"

We smile at each other. After that, we quickly swim away from the dangerous seaweeds and found ourselves looking into a sandy ground of the Deep Trench.

We sigh in relief that we're sae.

"I can see why they said it's a scary experience down here in this trench." Doris said.

"I understand." I nodded. "Who would've thought that those seaweeds actually attack us and trapping us in its own cage."

"Me too."

"Look, Doris!" I point at something which made her look at what I'm pointing.

Doris gasp. "It's an oyster!" She exclaim as we look all around the sandy floor surrounded with oysters. "So many!"

"Why are there so many oysters doing in the bottom of Deep Trench?" I wondered.

"I think I know why..." Doris take one of the oysters and give it a soft knock on the top shell. When she did, the oyster shell open, revealing a small round, white and sparkling ball inside.

"Wow, what is this?" my eyes sparkle.

"It's a pearl!" Doris answered.

Pearls are the gem of the Ocean. If we're wondering why the pearls being kept inside of oysters and hidden in the Deep Trench, we guessed that pearls are like treasure, second too the magic kelp seeds. That explains why those strange moving seaweeds attacked us. They're enchanted to protect the pearls!

Since we're in the Deep Trench as the first one to discover the pearls, we must be the lucky ones to see the pearls.

"Oh, anyways, since we're already in the Deep Trench, let's look for the glass bottle containing our next clue!" I reminded.

I wonder where the next clue is? Maybe it's in the oysters?

Now that I look closely, the oysters of each one have different sizes from small, medium and large. What if I try knocking them open just like what Doris did earlier?

After I told Doris what to do, we started knocking all the oysters open. Almost every one of them have pearls in it, except for one in a large oyster.

Inside... Was a green glass bottle, containing our next clue!

"We did it! We found our next clue!" Doris and I cheered.

Suddenly, while we were cheering, we heard a sound. The sound seems to be coming from behind the large open oyster.

When we went behind the oyster, we found... An Opthalmosaurus!

The Opthalmosaurus is blue-colored with white underbelly.

"What are you doing here, little one?" Doris said to the little marine reptile.

The Opthalmosaurus only make barking sounds in a female voice. Seems like she's still a young one that can't speak yet.

"I think this little one can't talk yet, Doris. But what's she doing here?" I asked Doris.

"I don't know, Saura but whatever it is, she seems scared and alone all this time." Doris guessed.

"I think so, but whatever how or why she's here, I have to guess she must be hiding from Z-Elasmo and probably her family or friends protected her by keeping her here in Deep Trench."

The little female Opthalmosaurus nodded at my guess.

This poor thing must be suffering all alone for who knows how long. She must be feeling alone and hungry.

Doris hum in wonder, feeling pity for the young marine reptile. "Say, how about coming with us..." Doris have to give her a name if she's going to converse with her. "... Aqua?"

"Aqua...?" I questioned.

"It's her name." Doris answered. "How about it, Aqua? Do you want to come to the outside world with us? Maybe we can find your friends or family while we continue searching for the treasure?"

The little female Opthalmosaurus nodded at my guess.

The female Opthalmosaurus big eyes sparkle at the thought of reuniting with her kind if she go with the tailed humans. So, she bark and nodded to our offer.

"That's wonderful!"

"I'm glad!"

With that we have gained another friend to our friend circle as we made our exit out of Deep Trench behind us.

(OUTSIDE OF DEEP TRENCH, MIKU'S POV)

"Woah, so you like... Get into a squabble with that Yi Qi called Blue whenever she gets emotionally attached to Saura?" Momo exclaimed.

Suddenly, while we were cheering, we heard a sound. The sound seems to be coming from behind the large open oyster.

"I think it's a good idea too!" I agree with my

"Me? Well... I'm not sure." Momo shrug.

Just before the Plesiosaur could think of some, their human friends finally come out of the Deep Trench.

"Miku!"

"Momo!"

Hearing our names we give them a big hug, relieving their fine.

A soft barking was heard from behind Doris as we turn to the voice. Our eyes widen in surprise.

"Doris, who's this?" Momo asked.

"Momo, I would like to introduce to you our new friend! Meet, Aqua Opthalmosaurus!" Doris introduced.

When Momo get closer, the baby Opthalmosaurus, in fright, quickly hid in Doris' arm, shocking her.

"There, there, it's alright Aqua."

"Did I do something wrong?"

"Oh no, I think she's just little shy." Doris assured.

During our time waiting, it seems Saura and Doris have quite the story to tell us. I saw Momo's expression that she's feeling jealous that a baby water dinosaur gets all comfy at her. I hide a grin that she's jealous which really reminded my feelings towards Blue.

Anyways, we read the next clue they found.

Saura read it after taking out of the bottle and unrolling it.

The Third Clue: The Treasure chest is hidden in the Water God's Pool Lagoon.

"The Water God's Pool Lagoon?" Saura said.

"Where's that? Is it another scary place like the other 2?" I wondered.

When we turn to Doris, instead of a scared expression, she look relief. "You guys don't have to worry about it." Doris smiled. "The Water God's Pool Lagoon is not far. Come on, you're going to enjoy there, I promise."

And so, our treasure hunt is almost coming to an end at our final destination. Saura and I wondered what kind of place the Water God's Pool Lagoon is.

Their treasure hunt is almost coming to an end and the battle next chapter is going to be a dynamic one if I can try to make it. No hard feelings if it's not good. I'm a begginer at writing battle scenes after all.

I'm also excited about the kind of reaction I'll give Phoenix and Zongazonga when they realized each other's identities.

All of your advices about dinosaur villains are good to put in, I just need to carefully think of them. The Zongazonga character here is a little different than in the game, the part about using a magic hammer to force him out a body, that is.

The only element Saura have and yet to master is Earth and Lightning by the way.

In Cera's time, when revived from fossils and turn into cards, right? I guess, yes and no. Some of the dinosaurs who have come to seek Dainason Kingdom, either they will stay or live a while and then live in the outside world independently with its memories. There's a possibility that maybe if one of them found Cera or her predecessor, or Gaffer Miku, they wish to see and show their friends the Dainason Kingdom they remembered before it was hidden and forgotten.
