Twilight's POV

I couldn't help but marvel at Urbosa's fighting style.

I had seen it before, but she seemed to be taking all her fury out on the Yiga.

Countless bodies were left in her wake.

I was never far behind. I had to save my cub.

We had learned from a scout that her friend had also been captured.

Urbosa called her reckless while I cursed beneath my breath.

Wild will know something's up when he meets her. He knows every person he knows and he doesn't know her.

I wish I could've told him myself.

Either that, or the still-alive champions and a scarless version of himself.

I hated the Yiga's traps so much.

The spikes where everywhere

Soon we came across a room full of random things. But none of us really took notice until we defeated the Yiga occupying it.

"Guys!" Hyrule called. "Isn't this Wild's?"

He said it with a tone in his voice as if he knew it was Wild's. I mean, it was his Sheikah slate.

I grabbed it, then we moved on. But not before Warriors had grabbed another shield.

The Yiga had ruined his shield with their arrows and other weapons.

It was honestly something of an accident when we ran straight into the prison.

A Gerudo lady had her head practically shoved through the bars.

I couldn't immediately see Wild.

But then again, you can never find Wild if Wild doesn't want to be found.

"Watch out!" The Gerudo called, looking over my shoulder.

Time and I raised our shields just in time to block a sharp wave of air from a Yiga blademaster.

We stumbled backward, me passing past a dark cell. A dim, pulsing green glow in the corner.

I didn't take time to further examine it before I was re-engaged in the fight.

With a quick shield bash, the fight was over. Our swords aimed at the blademaster's chest.

I held my hand out. And when the guard hesitated, I made sure to bare my fangs.

Needless to say, he was handing over the key real quick.

I unlocked the Gerudo scout first before going to the cell across and to the right of hers. Where I'd seen the light.

I opened the door and a blue and black blue launched itself out of the shadows and onto me. It's arms wrapped around my waist.

"Wild!" I could practically hear the rest of the chain snap their heads toward us as I hugged my protégé back.

Many people echoed my cry and we got trapped in a large group hug.

The others chuckled at our little reaction. But Urbosa's laugh was booming.

Wild tensed up.

"I'm sorry." I whispered.

Wild peeked through a part in the bodies. I saw the tears form as he saw his dead friends and himself.

I heard a ghostly whisper as I always did when the spirits of the Champions spoke.

Another side effect of spending so much time in the Twilight Realm. I have a small part of myself still in it. Making it possible for me to spy even the tiniest traces of ghosts while Hylian.

Wild stealthily wiped away a tear as the group parted. He kept his head down until his hood was low enough to hide his true identity.

And maybe his scars a little too.

"You must be Wild." Zelda said, extending her hand. "It's nice to meet you, I've heard such wonderful things from your brothers."

Wild extended his left hand hesitantly.

The princess shook it with a smile. Link kept an eye on Wild wearily.

"So…" Zelda trailed off. "You're the future Hero of the Wild?"

Wild seemed startled but nodded nonetheless.

"Let's continue on." Urbosa spoke up. Wild didn't face her. Or any of the other champions for that matter.

Urbosa turned to face the Gerudo guard. "Now, tell me Vai, how did you get captured?"

As the Gerudo guard told them about the secret door she discovered, I noticed Wild's shoulders slump as the attention was taken away from him.

We followed the Gerudo guard through more twisting hallways to the unguarded secret door.

"I don't remember this…" Wild said softly beside me.

I had given him back his slate so now he was armed with a traveler's bow (most likely to mentally show off to Revali).

Despite his best efforts, I noticed his corrupted arm. At least, I think it's corrupted. I had no context on what had happened while he was away.

Wild cursed when he recognized the path we were taking. But he didn't disclose.

And then we exited the hideout to see Master Kohga sitting in front of a giant hole in the ground.

Kohga tried to say something, but Wild had already rushed forward with a broadsword and shield.

Kohga squawked and disappeared in a flurry of talismans.

Yiga appeared all across the area and Kohga reappeared on the other side of the pit.

"He's very reckless, isn't he?" Urbosa asked from beside me.

I sighed sadly. "Oh you have no idea."

Urbosa laughed, the launched into battle against the Yiga.

Halfway through, Sooga reappeared. And I had to point him out to Wild, expecting him to be intimidated or even frightened.

But the Hero simply shrugged said, "Okay." and continued fighting without a care in the world.

Wild shared strikes between Sooga and Kohga. He seemed to adjust from one of their fighting styles to another.

I wanted to teach him the moves the Hero's Shade taught me, just to see how he would use them.

But then again… maybe that's not a good thing.

I'll do pros and cons with Time later.

Finally, the battle ended with us winning, and the Yiga running away like lizolfos.

I sighed as we decided to just sit for a few minutes to treat the worst wounds.

I cleaned the blood off my sword, cleaned it, then walked over to Wild who was purposely distancing himself from everyone.

Hyrule had also noticed, but was busy with a jagged cut along Time's arm.

Wild looked up when I was just a few feet away. He aways had strong senses that could rival mine as a wolf.

That probably do rival mine as a wolf.

He raised an eyebrow in question as I came closer.

I grabbed his right arm, feeling a unnatural surface and a circuit wrapping around the arm.

I pulled it out. It was black with gold circuits twisting around his arm.

I raised my eyebrow in return.

I could feel the attention of several others (Wild getting uncomfortable also helped).

"So…" I promoted.

Wild shrugged. "Ganondorf."

I froze. "Ganondorf?" I thought he had a Ganon. Not a Ganondorf.

I sighed again. "You're gonna explain this later. Got it?"

I let his arm fall from my grip.

Wild nodded stiffly. "Yes sir." He said, giving a two fingered salute with a crooked smile.

I sighed yet again as he walked away to talk to Hyrule who had moved on to Legend and his dislocated shoulder.

Remind me why I put up with him again?
