CHAPTER 4

Crisis of Leadership

The Rangers' celebration was in full swing, with laughter and music filling the air. But Jason's mind was elsewhere, his thoughts consumed by doubts and fears. Can I really lead them to victory? What if I'm not good enough?

His teammates noticed his distraction, and playful teasing ensued. "Hey, Jason, earth to Red Ranger!" Chris joked, nudging him with his elbow.

Jason forced a smile, trying to brush off his concerns. "Just thinking about the next battle," he said, but his friends exchanged knowing glances.

In Titania , General Malicia stood before Emperor Mordred, a confident smile on her face. "Behold, my latest creation: Krithiel."

Krithiel towered over the generals, her eyes glowing with an otherworldly energy. Emperor Mordred scrutinized her, his gaze lingering on the sharp claws and teeth.

"Impressive," he said finally. "But can she defeat the Rangers?"

Malicia's smile never wavered. "Krithiel has been engineered to exploit their weaknesses. She will not fail."

Emperor Mordred's eyes narrowed. "See that she doesn't. I will not tolerate another defeat."

The Rangers' celebration at "The Daily Grind" coffee shop was in full swing, with laughter and chatter filling the air. But their joy was short-lived, as Krithiel's arrival sent citizens running for cover.

The Rangers exchanged knowing glances, swiftly morphing into their superhero forms in a secret alleyway nearby. They emerged, ready for battle, as Krithiel continued her rampage.

Krithiel's gaze fell upon the Rangers, her expression unimpressed. "You are the ones who defeated Moloch?" she sneered, her voice dripping with disdain. "I will enjoy destroying you."

Jason stepped forward, his Red Ranger suit gleaming in the sunlight. "We won't go down without a fight, Krithiel. Let's go!"

The battle began, with Krithiel unleashing her razor-sharp claws and teeth upon the Rangers. They fought valiantly, but Krithiel's sheer power and speed pushed them back.

The Rangers struggled to keep up with Krithiel's relentless assault, their movements slow and uncoordinated. Despite their best efforts, they were vastly outmatched, and Krithiel's superiority was clear.p

As the battle raged on, Jason's doubts and fears resurfaced, threatening to consume him. He stumbled, his movements hesitant, and Krithiel seized the opportunity to strike.

The Rangers fell back, defeated, as Krithiel vanished into the shadows, her mission accomplished. The door to the Sanctum, Janus'Door opened and they demorphed as they stepped inside, Hestia looking at all them like a mother hen searching for any injury.

Jason, feeling responsible for the defeat, dropped his Morpher and walked away from the Sanctum, disappearing through Janus' door into the unknown.

The remaining Rangers were concerned, but Hestia's words reassured them. "Do not worry about Jason. He must confront his own doubts. Focus on your training, and he will rejoin you when the time is right."

Matt, Emily, Chris, and Sofia nodded, determination etched on their faces. They knew they had to become stronger, for themselves and for Jason.
