Alexander woke up early the next morning and got ready for the day as quickly as he could. Once he had his armor on and his gear equipped across his back or on his belt, he called for Verik and Silana to wake up. They were groggy with how early in the morning it was but Alexander didn't want to wait to get his friends back in line. He had missed too much and the sooner that he could get back to work the better. After a quick breakfast, the group made their way out of the Fletcher's home and towards the Vossler estate with Duke tagging along. The streets were empty, the sun was still rising, and there was little conversation to be had with how tired Verik and Silana were.
When they arrived outside of the Vossler estate, Alexander became concerned when he saw Tiran seated on a wooden chair outside the front door, his rapier holstered on his belt. His eyes were closed and he snored lightly. Tiran wouldn't have slept outside of his home without good reason and Alexander worried what else he may have missed the other day. Alexander led the way to Tiran and coughed loudly into his arm to wake him up. Tiran snapped awake and reached for his rapier only to ease up when he saw who it was.
"Morning," Tiran greeted quietly. "Silana, how are you?"
"Tired," Silana yawned.
"Me too," Tiran chuckled. "If you want to take a nap inside, you can."
"That's a good idea," Alexander said and patted Silana on the shoulder. "You go on ahead."
"Right," Silana said and Tiran opened the door.
Alexander waited until Silana stepped inside and Tiran closed the door before speaking. "Is everything alright, Tiran?"
"Did something happen after I left?" Verik asked.
"Griffin's missing," Tiran told the pair. "I checked in on his room after midnight and saw he hadn't come home. I didn't think he had gotten into trouble but I waited outside for him."
"Could he have snuck inside while you were asleep?" Alexander questioned with a frown.
"I don't think he would have let me sleep in such conditions," Tiran shook his head. "Griffin was supposed to meet with Doctor Davaulus at the Hospice of the Blessed Maiden to work out some sort of deal. It shouldn't have taken too long, let alone the whole night."
"Something must have happened to him," Verik gasped.
"Tiran, I promise you that we'll find Griffin," Alexander said, his tone determined. "You should follow the advice you gave Silana and take a nap."
"I'm afraid that I have company inside that I'll have to attend to," Tiran said with a sigh. "Fortunately, we still have plenty of coffee beans left."
"Do you think you can make me a cup of coffee as well?" Verik asked, yawning mid-question. "Alex woke me up early because he wanted to get here as soon as he could."
"Of course," Tiran nodded and turned to Alexander. "Verik's told you about what you've missed?"
"He has and I'm here to set things right," Alexander assured Tiran. "Is Viera inside?"
"She stayed the night," Tiran answered and cracked open the front door. "She stayed in one of the guest chambers upstairs but you're free to search the manor. At the very least, she hasn't left."
"Have you heard anything from Falenas?" Alexander asked.
"Not yet," Tiran said and led the way inside. "Takota hasn't been seen recently either but Viera did invite Ishani over to take over work on the cure for blood veil. He stayed the night as well. Now, I should make some coffee…"
Tiran stepped away into a hallway with Verik following behind him. Alexander gestured for Duke to stay outside and frowned, growing concerned over the state of the group. At least half of the adventurers were unaccounted for. There was little to be done about Falenas at the moment, and Alexander wasn't worried about Takota too much, but Griffin being missing was a problem. If Griffin was missing, he may have gotten into trouble as Indigo and could have been seriously injured or worse. It was important for Alexander to find Viera. She wouldn't hesitate to look for Griffin but the issue would be convincing her that they still needed Falenas. As much as Alexander hated to think about it, they may need Falenas' skills as a healer once they find Griffin.
Fortunately, the first room that Alexander searched so happened to be the one Viera was in. Alexander went to the makeshift lab and found Viera overseeing Ishani's efforts to cure blood veil with Falenas' notes. Viera was in her armor with her sword holstered while Ishani wore his plain robes. Alexander caught a quick glimpse of Ishani's face as he went from one table to another, a vial in each of his hands. He could tell that the priest was overwhelmed with the task he had taken over. Alexander thought Ishani was a good man, but when it came to alchemy, he couldn't think of anyone as brilliant as Falenas was. Once again, he coughed into his arm with Viera and Ishani turning to face him.
"It's good to see you, Alexander," Viera said with a faint smile. "I hope you took care of everything during your break because there's a lot we need to take care of."
"I'm here to help," Alexander told Viera with a stoic expression. "Verik's caught me up on everything that's happened."
"Then you know that Falenas isn't a part of our group anymore," Viera said, her tone growing harsh. "We can't trust him anymore."
"Is that so?" Alexander crossed his arms. "Ishani, might I ask you a question?"
"Of course," Ishani said and bowed his head. "How can I help you?"
"How's the work on the cure?" Alexander asked. "I know you just took over from Falenas but I want to hear your thoughts on the matter."
"It's going well," Viera answered immediately. "Ishani knows alchemy as well and-"
"Viera, I asked Ishani," Alexander interrupted Viera firmly.
"Well, Viera is right that I do know alchemy, but I'm afraid progress has been slow," Ishani admitted and looked down to the ground. "I was hoping that I could use Falenas' notes to help but they're all over the place. Sometimes, he goes off on different tangents of ideas he has, and other times, he stops mid sentence and moves on. It certainly doesn't help that his notes are written in six different languages, five of which I don't know, and he changes languages during the middle of sentences as well."
"I only recognized his writings in Elven and Celestial," Viera added with a frown. "If you wouldn't mind taking a look at his notes, maybe you might be able to help translate."
"I only know Common and Elven," Alexander shook his head, trying to keep his shock over the state of Falenas' notes in check. "Was Falenas worried about this exact scenario of someone taking over his research?"
"It's either that or he's quite mad," Ishani said and sighed.
"Definitely mad," Viera waved her hand dismissively.
"Or brilliant," Alexander suggested. "Ishani, I mean no disrespect when I say this, but I don't think you're up to the task of taking over for Falenas."
"There's no disrespect in speaking the truth," Ishani nodded. "It'll take weeks to go through all of his notes."
Ishani admitting that he couldn't cure blood veil on his own was the step in the right direction to getting Viera to listen to Falenas. She may have hated the alchemist for his past but Alexander knew that she and Ishani had become close friends. If Alexander could get Ishani to side with him, it may help convince Viera to hear out Falenas and potentially work with him. Viera glanced over her shoulder at Ishani before turning to look at Alexander. Her words were subdued but Alexander could tell she wasn't too pleased with where the conversation had gone.
"What are you suggesting, Alexander?" Viera asked and crossed her arms.
"You know exactly what I'm suggesting," Alexander told her. "Viera, we need Falenas' help."
"Didn't Verik tell you that he worked for Gaedren?" Viera snapped and stepped toward Alexanders. "Falenas has been lying to us since we've met him."
"And I don't blame him for doing so," Alexander dropped his arms to the side and shrugged. "We first met him when we all planned on killing Gaedren. We all hated Gaedren for our own reasons and I don't blame Falenas for hiding the fact he used to work for him. We would have refused to work with him."
"He had plenty of opportunities to tell us the truth afterwards," Viera pointed out with a scowl. "Falenas kept lying. He even went out of his way to make sure I never learned that it was him in my nightmares."
"And what was it he did in your nightmares?" Alexander asked. "What was so terrible that you had to attack him and drive him away from the group?"
"He…" Viera hesitated for a moment. "He healed Gaedren. Falenas kept him alive."
"Falenas saved Gaedren's life," Alexander said. "It's funny that the man who throws bombs in fights is so good when it comes to saving the lives of others. Did Griffin ever tell you about what happened when we confronted Devargo?"
"I was there when we did, remember?"
"The second time," Alexander said and noticed Viera's eyes going wide. "Don't be mad at Griffin. We've all been busy since then. Falenas had been working with Griffin's vigilante activities. He wanted to put an end to the drug trade going around Korvosa, and so, they eventually targeted Devargo at Eel's End. This was the night of Zellara's harrowing, and as it so happened, Verik and I ended up stumbling into the fight as well. We made it to Devargo's chamber and he was able to throw Falenas through a trap door before a fight started."
"Where are you going with this?" Viera questioned impatiently.
"We fought as hard as we could but we were outnumbered and Devargo was more of a threat than we had realized. He knocked Griffin out and threatened to kill him unless we all surrendered. Verik and I threw down our weapons and we were placed on the trapdoor with Griffin. Devargo was going to feed us to his pet spiders. And you know how we escaped?"
"How?" Viera asked, her voice quiet.
"Falenas returned," Alexander told her. "He fought his way through Devargo's spiders on his own and made his way around Eel's End to get back to the room just in time to kill Devargo. Afterwards, he took us back to his clinic and tended to Griffin's injuries. That night, Falenas saved the lives of all three of us. He saved Takota's life back when we fought the Cow Hammer Boys, and I'm sure if you think about it, you'll realize that at some point, he saved your life as well."
"He…" Viera started and glanced down at the ground, unable to meet Alexander's gaze. "When blood veil was starting to take off, I was caught in a crowd of the infected after I used my magic to heal someone. They all wanted me to save them, and even though I couldn't, that didn't stop them. That crowd may have torn me apart in a blind panic if Falenas hadn't shown up and pulled me free."
"Falenas hasn't saved my life, but from what I've seen of him and what I've heard about him from his closest friends, he seems to be a good man to me," Ishani spoke up. "He's eccentric, certainly, and a little arrogant at times, but he doesn't seem to be evil."
"He hasn't tried to kill any of you like I had, right?" Verik asked as he entered the room, sipping from a steaming mug of coffee. "There are a lot of terrible people in Korvosa, but as far as criminals go, Fal isn't that bad."
Viera grew silent, shaking her head. Alexander could notice her eyes growing wet and wondered which direction her thoughts were going in. He knew that Viera was a passionate and caring woman and knew that it would take an emotional argument to get her to change her mind about Falenas. She may have been quick to act against the Falenas, but in her mind, it had been the right thing to do. Now, Alexander had her doubt if she was in the right, and he was glad to have the support of Ishani and Verik. There was one last case Alexander could make for bringing Falenas back, and after Viera looked up and shook her head, he knew that he needed it to truly convince her.
"I can't forgive him," Viera said softly. "Not after everything Gaedren did."
"I'm not asking you to forgive him," Alexander assured her and reached over to clasp his hand over her shoulder. "I'm asking you to let him tell his side of what happened. We owe him that much for everything he's done to help us. Zellara brought us all together for a reason that night. We were all victims of Gaedren and I think it's possible Falenas may have been a victim as well."
"And if he wasn't?" Viera asked. "What if he was as terrible as Gaedren?"
"Then we cut him out of our life after he finds a cure for blood veil," Alexander stated matter-of-factly. "I won't tolerate Falenas if he had anything to do with abducting children, but otherwise, I'm willing to judge him based on what he has to say. At the very least, we could use the extra help looking for Griffin."
Viera's eyes went wide. "What do you mean?"
"Griffin's missing, Viera," Alexander said. "Tiran told me that he hadn't come back from his meeting with Doctor Davaulus. We can go to the hospice and try to find out where he went from there but Korvosa is a big city."
"We have to find him!" Viera said and backed away from Alexander. "Why are we still standing here when Griffin could be in danger?!"
"We'll look for him but we need a plan," Alexander told Viera.
"I think Falenas would be at his clinic," Verik said. "If we get his help, he might be able to come up with a plan. He's smart like that."
"Fine, do it!" Viera said, her tone demanding. "We have to get moving!"
"I would like to help in the search as well," Ishani volunteered. "I'd be able to help more by looking for Griffin than I would trying to come up with a cure on my own."
"Then you can come along with us," Alexander said as he started to take command. "Verik, get Falenas from his clinic. Ishani, we'll go with Viera to the hospice and try to find Griffin's trail from there. Let's get going."
Alexander knew that the others looked up to him, and as much as he preferred someone else to lead, he knew that his friends needed him to step up now. Despite his feelings on the matter, taking command came naturally to Alexander. He never had any formal training when it came to leading but always found it best to speak from his heart and do what's right regardless of what his way. He had been worried for the group, but now that he had convinced Viera to give Falenas a chance, it was only a matter of finding the missing adventurers.
With the plan agreed on, Alexander led the way outside with Verik setting his half-full cup down on one of the tables. Alexander whistled for Duke to join the group and the dog walked alongside the warrior. However, before Verik could split off from the group, the adventurers were surprised to find Grau running up to the group from the streets, waving to catch their attention. Alexander motioned for his companions to come to a stop, and although Viera took a few steps past him, she stopped before she went too far. Grau stopped in front of the group and offered a quick and informal salute.
"I'm glad to have found you all together," Grau said. "Field Marshal Kroft has requested your help."
"She can wait," Viera told Grau firmly. "One of our friends is missing and we can't help her until we find him."
"You mean Griffin, right?" Grau asked.
"Hold on," Alexander stepped up to stand next to Viera. "How did you know that Griffin was missing?"
"That's why the field marshal sent me to find you," Grau answered. "Follow me and I promise you'll get all of the answers that you need."
Alexander was surprised when Grau led the way to the Hospice of the Blessed Maiden and even more surprised when he found that the streets leading to the building had been closed down by the Korvosan Guard. He overheard one of the guards turning away a sick man saying that the area had been closed down due to quarantine but Alexander didn't believe that was to be the case. Grau led the group inside of the hospice and Alexander grew concerned when he saw that there were no Queen's Physicians tending to the sick in the sick ward. Some medics from the Korvosan Guard took over the task instead and Grau didn't explain why that was the case. He led the way to a cargo lift in the back of the building and had Alexander, Viera, Verik, Ishani, and Duke step on the lift. He gave them a quick wave as Verik pulled the lever and they went up on the cargo lift.
When they arrived at the second floor and stepped through the door, Alexander gasped in shock along with the others as his eyes went wide in horror. In the next room (which was noticeably missing a door), two members of the Korvosan Guard were throwing a white cloth over rows of bodies. There were sick patients on the bed tended to by a single medic, and based on the blood splattered throughout the room, Alexander realized that the corpses hadn't fallen victim to sickness. He noticed Ishani focus on one body in particular before the guards covered the corpse up with cloth. Ishani shook his head and reached for the holy symbol that hung around his neck.
"That was Doctor Davaulus," Ishani whispered to the adventurers.
"What in the hells happened here?" Alexander asked.
"Is that Alexander I hear? Come on in to my office."
Alexander looked up from the corpses to see an office at the end of the room. He could see that the walls were covered in various diagrams featuring human anatomy but he was more interested in the people in the room. Cressida looked over her shoulder at the group of adventurers, and seated at the desk, reading from a journal, was Falenas, who had been the one to call out to him. Behind Falenas was Takota, and after some thought, Alexander wasn't too surprised that Takota found his way to whatever happened. He was good friends with Falenas, and unlike Viera, must have been able to look past the alchemist's partnership with Gaedren.
"Falenas!" Viera gasped, her hand instinctively reaching for her sword's hilt.
"Don't," Takota warned, his hand patting his crossbow. "There's no need for a fight."
Alexander grabbed Viera's shoulder. "Remember what we talked about."
"That was before we found the hospice like this," Viera said. "Falenas, did you have anything to do with this massacre?"
"Viera," Alexander sighed. "You know-"
"Actually, I did," Falenas interrupted Alexander. "It wasn't my proudest moment but I won't lie to you anymore."
"I helped," Takota offered.
"Takota helped," Falenas nodded.
"I can't believe this," Ishani shook his head in disapproval. "Field Marshal, why aren't these two in chains?"
"Their methods may have been reckless but they've done Korvosa a favor," Cressida stated matter-of-factly. "Over the past several hours, we've uncovered evidence that the Queen's Physicians haven't been working to cure blood veil but have been experimenting with it to make it more potent."
"What?!" Alexander gasped.
"This is terrible," Viera muttered quietly.
"I'm afraid it's quite true," Falenas said and closed the journal in his hands to hold up. "This belonged to Reiner Davaulus, who wasn't the doctor he claimed to be. Written in this journal are his research notes on blood veil, including numerous inhuman experiments that he performed on Varisians. Apparently, a notable number of Varisians have shown immunity to blood veil and Davaulus worked on ways to address the mistake in his plague."
"Davaulus was a monster," Verik said and shook his head.
"Indeed he was, but fortunately, his research can help us," Falenas revealed and set the journal down on the desk.
"Why would you even bother with that?" Viera asked, clearly disgusted.
"I condemn his methods but his research notes provide insight into the creation of blood veil," Falenas explained. "With his journal, I can create a cure for blood veil."
"That's incredible!" Ishani exclaimed. "We could put this terrible plague business behind us."
"If you can make a cure, why haven't you started on it?" Alexander asked. "I don't mean to imply anything about you but I remember how focused you were on finding a cure before this breakthrough."
"Even with these notes, it will take me days of work to create a cure," Falenas said and stood up. "Days that Griffin might not have."
"You know what happened to him?" Viera questioned, stepping toward him.
"Davaulus didn't say what happened even while he taunted us, and unfortunately for us, he didn't keep a record of his criminal deeds aside from his research notes," Falenas said and sighed. "However, given Griffin's Varisian heritage, I have reason to believe that he may be alive, and if so, he's below."
"Below?" Verik raised an eyebrow. "We were just down at the first floor."
"This warehouse has a secret complex underground," Cressida told the adventurers. "The Korvosan Guard keeps records of such buildings given what they can be used for but we had no such record. It could be possible that someone wanted to keep this information away from us."
Alexander processed what happened but there was a lot to take in. Falenas and Takota cleared the Hospice of the Blessed Maiden on their own and unearthed a conspiracy unlike any other. The Queen's Physicians, appointed by Ileosa herself, had been working to spread blood veil across Korvosa. Alexander hadn't met with the Queen's Physicians much but he had trusted them to do what was right. He felt betrayed and it hurt him more than he expected.
It took Alexander a few moments to consider that it wasn't just the Queen's Physicians that betrayed Korvosa but Queen Ileosa herself.
"We have to save Griffin," Viera said, determined.
"Of course we do," Falenas nodded in agreement.
"I don't recall agreeing to work with you," Viera snapped at Falenas.
Falenas clasped his hands behind his back. "I would have thought that given the circumstances…"
"We'll hear you out," Alexander said and glanced to Viera. "Listen to him."
Viera remained silent for several seconds before speaking in a harsh tone. "Make your case and be quick about it."
"Of course," Falenas took a deep breath and closed his eyes. "I was the one who became addicted to Gaedren's shiver, not Delrick. I started taking shiver to cope with my brother's death and Gaedren took advantage of my dependence on shiver. I made drugs for him and tended to his injuries for forty years. That's how long it took me to break free from my addiction and move on with my life."
"Falenas, I didn't know," Alexander said quietly. "I'm terribly sorry."
"You have nothing to apologize for, Alexander," Falenas shook his head as he rubbed his eyes. "I was the one who lied to all of you."
"I appreciate the honesty but is now the time for it?" Verik asked, gesturing towards Cressida. "You did confess to crimes in front of the Korvosan Guard's leader."
"Falenas already told me what happened," Cressida said.
"He has?" Viera gasped.
"Griffin reported to me that he saw Falenas' name in Gaedren's ledger and I invited him to my office in private," Cressida explained. "He came clean about everything he's done, but given the circumstances and the help he provided for the Korvosan Guard at the time, I was willing to say that he worked off any punishment."
"But-" Viera started.
"Falenas had broken no laws in ten years," Cressida cut Viera off sharply. "Had he been a killer, I would have thrown him in a cell, but that wasn't the case."
"I had nothing to do with Gaedren's violent crimes other than association with him, which isn't much of a saving grace," Falenas said with a sigh and opened his eyes. "I want to make up for what I've done. Please, let me save Griffin."
"Viera, I think we should take him up on his offer," Ishani whispered to the priestess quietly. "Sarenrae teaches in the value of redemption, and while not all are capable of it, I believe Falenas truly feels guilty about his past life."
Alexander nodded along with Ishani's suggestion. Truth be told, he was glad that Falenas had never killed anyone on Gaedren's behalf or abducted children to be raised as pickpockets. Before, he may not have considered the alchemist's perspective, but it was by working with Falenas that Alexander understood the challenges addiction brought. Falenas risking his life to deal with crime lords who were involved in the drug trade suddenly made sense as the elf was doing what he could to make up for his past actions. Alexander respected Falenas even after his confession for owning up to his mistakes even if it was only in private.
However, as tragic as Falenas' story may have been, it may not have been enough to move Viera. She remained silent for several seconds, narrowing her eyes at Falenas. Alexander felt that Viera would have considered Falenas' story and accepted him into the group had the alchemist come clean with the truth. With Falenas having kept his history a secret from Viera even when she came close to finding out, the steps he had gone through may not be enough to convince her to accept his help. Alexander frowned but kept quiet as he watched Viera shake her head.
"I still can't trust you," Viera told Falenas firmly.
"I don't blame you for that," Falenas said softly. "I haven't done much to earn back your trust."
"You can get started on that now then," Viera said. "There's no telling what horrors are waiting for us beneath the hospice and we'll take all the help we can get."
"There'll be more Queen's Physicians," Alexander suggested with a frown. "How good of fighters were they?"
"They weren't great," Falenas shrugged. "I don't know what exactly they are, but given what we found on the Direption, I suspect they may be cultists of Urgathoa."
"If we're going underground, maybe we'll find more vampires like in Racker's Alley," Verik said with a frown. "That's not something I'm looking forward to."
"Rolth Lamm may be waiting for us as well," Takota added.
"Rolth?" Alexander questioned. "What does he have to do with this?"
"Takota and I discovered his involvement with the Queen's Physicians, which was why we went after them to begin with," Falenas explained quickly. "We may have to deal with the Gray Maidens."
"Are you sure about that?" Viera questioned and crossed her arms. "Just because you killed a few of them in the hospice doesn't mean that there are more."
"The Gray Maidens didn't question it when the Queen's Physicians joined them to fight," Falenas said. "They may be more involved than I thought they would be."
"You'll have to go on your own," Cressida told the adventurers. "I need all of my trustworthy guards getting the patients out of the hospice and somewhere where they can be treated properly. I wish there was more I could do to help."
"You're doing plenty enough," Alexander assured Cressida. "We'll handle the fighting on our own. Thank you for helping with the patients."
"I'm just doing what I can," Cressida said. "Stay safe."
"We will."
Cressida smiled faintly and Alexander nodded to reassure her. It was tempting to raid the lower levels of the hospice with the backing of the Korvosan Guard but it would have been dangerous for the guards. Alexander felt a lot better knowing that Cressida and the Korvosan Guard would stay safe from the fighting while helping keep the patients alive. If Alexander and his companions failed in their task today, he was sure that Cressida would be able to find a way to keep Korvosa safe from blood veil with what she knew now.
Alexander stepped toward the cargo lift with Viera, Verik, Falenas, Takota, and Duke following him when a voice called out.
"Wait!"
"Huh?" Alexander turned to face Ishani.
"I want to come with you," Ishani told Alexander.
"Are you sure?" Viera asked, concerned. "There's a lot at stake and you told me that you were a pacifist."
"That may be the case but I still have divine magic to call upon," Ishani said. "I can heal you and keep everyone in fighting shape, not to mention that Griffin may be in need of healing if you find him alive."
"He has a good point," Falenas said with a nod. "If he comes along with us, it would mean that I can save my healing extracts for an emergency and focus on fighting."
"I wouldn't feel comfortable bringing a man somewhere that will lead to a fight," Alexander said, stroking his chin in thought. "Have you been trained to defend yourself?"
"Back when I was with the Grand Vault of Abadar, I did train with a crossbow as was expected of his followers," Ishani suggested with a frown. "However, I have no real experience in a fight with one."
"No time like the present then," Cressida said and turned to one of the guards that was tending to the fallen. "Drus, give Ishani your crossbow and quiver."
"Huh?!" Ishani gasped. "I'm not sure if that's a good idea."
"You may be a pacifist, but if it comes down to staying alive, I'm sure that you'll be willing to fight," Cressida said firmly. "Alexander, would Ishani coming with you armed with a crossbow satisfy your concerns?"
"It would," Alexander nodded.
"Then it's settled."
Ishani went pale but didn't raise any objections as Drus offered him his crossbow and quiver of bolts, each with their harnesses. After placing the quiver over his back, Ishani examined the crossbow for a few moments to make sure it was of good quality. It wasn't as large as the crossbow Takota kept but it would do plenty of damage in a fight. Ishani nodded to himself, strapped the crossbow's holster across his back, and stepped forward to join the adventurers. Viera smiled to have her friend come with them and Verik patted Ishani on the back in an encouraging manner.
The adventurers piled onto the cargo lift, which creaked under their weight and was rather cramped. Falenas maneuvered his way to the lever and knelt down by it to attach a button to the side of it. With a satisfied nod, Falenas pressed the button and pulled the lever. The cargo lift descended down back to the first floor and kept lowering itself.
It was time to put an end to the masterminds that brought blood veil to Korvosa once and for all.
A/N: Previously, this chapter was supposed to be two chapters, but I combined elements of the two for a single chapter which I feel makes the story flow a little bit better.
Next time, we proceed with the final dungeon of Seven Days to the Grave.
Until next time.
