We know that Naruto tends to be Subject of Isekai Fics.

Fanfic where he is transported to another world, mostly Highschool Dxd, his powers are amped, and his becomes powerful and in some very rare cases, has a Harem.

These fanfiction range from bad to really good. Some are choppy and fast paced but some are really well written to the point you won't realize that it's a kid who wrote them.

This is just my Personal take so please don't hate me for it.

While I do like these Fanfics. And I love Naruto's character, I think after the release of TBV, he's son Boruto Uzumaki has proven himself and is ready to be made the new Isekai Haren OP MC model.

Say what you want about the Boruto Manga as a whole, but I think Boruto has the all the necessary requirements for this role, I'll go through them now.

First, dude's design

Have you seen the Manga, My guy is DRIPPED TO PERFECTION

His is a fusion of Naruto and Sasuke.

Number 2:An edgy Backstory.

You could make an argument that while not in the same level of PTSD inducing as Sasuke, the stories of Boruto is exactly like Sasuke, minus that massive death toll and vengeance.

Just like Sasuke, Boruto was a bit of a brat who wanted his father's attention, but just when he had got it, he looses everything and the whole world sees him as a traitor now.

No 3, Boruto's Character

Now, a lot of People who write these Fanfic tend to take 4th Great Ninja war Naruto, and either fuse him with his Boruto: Naruto next generation character or make him edgier and more refined.

Naruto in Boruto is less talkative and slightly more reserved than he is in the original Naruto series, this is due to him either being an adult, or maturing as a Hokage.

So since they want him to be younger, they take his older self, and stick him in his younger body.

Finally, the biggest reason why Boruto would fit perfectly as the new Crossover OP Harem MC, is his power set, I would go through it in detail. I will be using the wiki as well here

Start with his Base powers:

Before Timeskip

Minato's Intellect - Boruto is noted by the likes of Jiraiya and Sasuke that he is a quick learner and is often compared to Minato.

Wind Style: Gale Palm - AWind Releasetechnique where the user either increases their velocity[2]or by the user clasping their hands together, wind is compressed and transformed into a powerful gale, which has enough force to knock over a person. When used in conjunction withshurikenorkunai, the tools become more lethal as their speed is increased.

Shadow Clone Jutsu - Can create clones of himself to help in fights.

Rasengan - Rotating ball of Chakra (not wind), that you can use to deal damage to an opponent, it has many variations, here are Boruto's variations.

Invisible Rasengan - Basically a Lightning Style Rasenshuriken, but instead the change in Chakra nature to lightning makes it invisible instead of forming a disk like with Naruto's wind style Rasenshuriken.

Wind Style Rasengan - When Boruto adds wind nature to his Rasengan, it turns green, but since he does not have the large pools of Chakra his father has, it's not as potent as the Rasenshuriken.

Compressed Rasengan -Compressing the Rasengan to add more damage power.

Thunderclap Arrow - The user moulds, then shapes lightning-natured chakra. They can then throw the lightning as a projectile-based attack, or combine it with a Water Release technique to electrocute a target.

Water Style: Wave Surge - After kneading chakra in their stomach and converting it, the user expels a large surge of water from their mouth.

This is BEFORE THE TIMESKIP. He did all of these, without using Karma, before the timeskip

After Timeskip

Flying Raijin Jutsu - Implant a markon an object and can use them to teleport between places, even different dimensions

Purple Lightning - A version of Chidori that doesn't require lightning.

Rasengan Uzuhiko - A Rasengan that literally taps into the centrifugal force of the planet, and it will continue to damage and disorient the target until the earth stops spinning.

And then for the Abilities he got from Momoshiki's Karma

Flight

Chakra Absorption

1000 or more years of fighting expirience and knowledge,

Byakugan

Massive Rasengan

Rasendan

If we count in Momoshiki's special abilities, he can see people's fate.

Inukai Takeru no Mikoto - technique where the user creates ferocious canine chakra avatars from the land itself. They will pursue their targets relentlessly in order to clamp down on them with their jaws, restraining and crushing them, and their tracking speed is so great that they were even able to catch Sasuke Uchiha.[2]

The user can also transmit other ninjutsu through the body of one of the canines so that, after it grabs hold of a target, it will result in a direct hit.[3]

He can even create and surround himself with a giant golum of brimstone.

Then on top of that, the Jougan, and we don't even know if it's Canon or not.

It can sense/peceive negative.

And perceive dimensional barriers, making him able to predict the opening of dimensional gateways before they happen

Case in point.

I love Naruto, he has cool power sets, and his character is pretty... unique.

But seeing as most Overpowered Isekai Harem MC authors like to make him Edgier and quieter, why not just use Boruto.

You may argue that Naruto is a better written character than his son, but one thing you can't argue.

Judging by his powersets, his timeskip personality and his getup, Boruto is way more suited to be the MC for these Fanfic stories than Naruto is, irregardless of what you think of his Canon.

So my plea. It time for others who like writing these fics to get their pads ready (I'm looking at you NeonZangetsu), let's see how Boruto does in these situations.
