It was nighttime and Chizuru was sitting in front of the mirror brushing her hair with her own fingers.

The luxury, beauty and clarity of the place she was kept in as well as the high quality of the food she was served all was helping her calm down and be more optimistic about the future and that she will reunite with Hajime or find a plan to escape this life. The inn that they were staying at as well as the room she was kept at which was the best one in the inn made one sometimes even feel separated from war.

Footsteps could be heard from a distance, it was most likely Kazama and not the maid as the maid's footsteps were lighter and a little faster and it was nighttime and mostly time for him to finally return.

Finally she could see it was him as he slid open the door to her room. One of his hands was resting on his sword while the other was holding a package wrapped in cloth. He approached her and sat next to her. "Open it, this is yours." He said as he put the package in front of her and took off his haori and rested on his hand.

Chizuru looked at the package with confusion before she finally opened it. It looked to be a kimono that seemed to be on top of other fabrics and on top of it were three elegant hair pins with two hair ribbons and a wooden curved hair comb. Finally she could brush her hair.

She examined the materials a little with her hands before she looked at Kazama without saying anything. Was he giving her gifts?

"You still believe I'm intending to make your life a misery? This is just a small glimpse of what I would give to you." He said leaning closer to her. He knew that this question was not going to convince her of anything now but with the tense situation they are still in, he could not approach her with warmer words. He also knew this would be another tense talk but at least they would talk.
