Chizuru just looked in confusion. Was he really thinking this was going to convince her after all he did?
Before they could say anything a maid asked permission from behind the door. "Enter," Said Kazama and the maid gently slid the door open and bowed before she spoke. "There is someone who claims to be your guest sir. He just arrived and he is downstairs. He said you are expecting his arrival. " She said before she bowed and slid the door closed and left.
Kazama turned to Chizuru, "He's Amagiri, your uncle." He said before he got up and put back his haori and left the room.
Amagiri has arrived? Was that going to give her some comfort or only bother her more? After all, he approves her marriage to Kazama. Chizuru thought to herself as she examined the materials in the package. There was a new sleeping yukata and three kimonos. Most importantly she could finally brush her hair. She put the stuff and the package aside and leaned back against the wall sitting next to the lamp.
Few minutes later she heard footsteps of two people approaching the room. The door slid open and Kazama and Amagiri entered. Amagiri greeted her in his same formal and polite manner. Chizuru doubting him and believing he was after all approving this forceful and violent marriage didn't feel like greeting him at first but at the same time believing that there might be hope in him, she stood up and greeted him back.
Kazama took his seat against the wall and started preparing his kiseru and Amagiri took his seat next to Kazama.
"Kazama Sama, since we are moving tomorrow in the early morning, I would like to ask you permission for me to stay here with you tonight." Said Amagiri in a calm and polite tone and Kazama, not being confused, just nodded and told him he doesn't even have to ask permission.
Chizuru wondered if Kazama would still sleep next to her tonight even with the presence of Amagiri.
Few minutes of silence passed before a maid asked permission to enter and brought them their dinner with sake and the three of them started eating without saying much. Amagiri however was speaking with Kazama about some issues regarding onis and war.
Even though lately Chizuru could feel more optimistic and calm down she however was forcing herself to eat as everytime she was thinking of the fact that her Hajime and friends were probably not even able to eat.
During the whole dinner time Kazama was not looking at Chizuru much and it seemed like it was because of the presence of Amagiri.
Before she finished her food she got up and took the package Kazama brought her earlier and walked to the door.
"I'm going to bathe," She said calmly before she left for the bathroom.
In the bathtub she sat silently and allowed herself to drown in her feeling of loneliness which hit her hard everyday at some point. At least Hajime was not dead and she could reunite. That was what she kept reminding herself.
