A slight mentioned of blood that's all :)

A threatened miscarriage.

That's what the doctor told them. Since they found out that Regina was pregnant, they were so happy, excited even. The stress of their current situation worried her so much. Last night's event still played in her mind.

When Regina told her that she was spotting down there.

That was a bad sight.

So they went to the hospital first thing in the morning. The doctor told them that the baby was in there but his or her development and heartbeat were below the standard. They must come in for another check-up next week or when Regina bled too much. The doctor also gave Regina an injection to reduce the possibility of a miscarriage.

Emma sighed as she drove them to brunch with their family at Granny's every Sunday like usual.

She couldn't stop thinking about last night's event when Regina woke her up, her face was all in distress, shocked even.

.

.

.

"Emma…"

Emma opened her eyes and looked to the side, seeing Regina standing beside the bed, her face was stressed and she felt her heart drop to the floor. She shot up, sitting on the bed, and held Regina's hands.

Regina's hands were so cold.

"Are you okay? What happened?" She asked, hoping it was nothing bad.

"I- I'm bleeding down th-there." Regina said, chewing her lips in distress, and squeezing her hands back.

"Oh, come here, baby." She wanted to wrap her up in her arms and soothe her fear.

Emma did and made room for Regina to crawl over her body as she lay against the headboard, letting Regina rest her head on her shoulder. She hugged her sideways and kissed the top of her forehead.

"It's okay. Do you remember what the doctor said?" She rubbed her back up and down.

Regina sniffed against her neck and her stomach clenched.

"It's normal to bleed early in the pregnancy." Her voice was horse from a silent cry.

"That's right. But what's important is, are you hurt?" She asked in worry.

Regina shook her head "No, just bleeding." and then continued to sniff.

"Don't cry, I'm right here. We'll go through this together." She hugged her wife tighter as Regina folded over her body, her leg wrapped around her hips, and snuggled into her like a koala.

"I- I'm worried about them. I hope they can make it." Regina looked up at her, brown eyes were all red and her heart clenched at the sight.

Emma pulled away gently as Regina sat back against the headboard. She slid down to Regina's abdomen and said in her second voice while she patted her belly softly.

"Stay strong, okay? We want to meet you, peanut." Emma kissed the stomach below and felt it vibrate as Regina chuckled.

"It's not even close to peanut, the doctor said it was just a small seed." Regina put her hand over her and a smile spread across her lips.

Emma smiled at the sight. She pulled her torso back up, to sit beside Regina on the bed. She slicked her brown hair back from her forehead and rested her palm against the base of Regina's hairline. She looked into her brown orbs and noticed how tired Regina must be, waking up in the middle of the night not just one time but several times to pee.

She was grateful for their miracle but at the expense of Regina's health and strength, it made her worry and she couldn't take it.

She couldn't see Regina in pain ever.

Regina put her hand up to cover her wrist and tried to smile.

"I'm okay, now, darling." Then with a simple kiss on her lips. Regina pulled away but she didn't let her. She wanted more so Emma followed her soft lips for another kiss again and again until Regina burst out a snort right on her face.

"Emma, stop! That's tickling!" Regina said while laughing.

Emma pulled away finally and smiled at the normal color that was back on Regina's face. She was glad. She leaned for another kiss on her forehead. Nothing happened and they laid back on the bed with her spooning Regina from behind, hands never left her middle that night. And they drifted off to sleep.

So to her dismay, early in the morning. Emma was just laying their breakfast plate on the bed when Regina walked out of the bathroom, with the same look as last night, had made Emma panic and step up to her wife immediately at the sight. She wrapped her arms around her torso and soothingly rubbed her arms.

"Regina?" She asked.

Regina looked up at her with worry and tears gathered in her brown eyes when they met her green ones.

"I'm bl-bleeding again. This time it's different, it's all over the mattresses. I think we need to visit the doctor soon." Regina said and couldn't help but purse her lips into a light quiver. Emma's heart clenched again at the sight and pulled her wife into a hug.

"And I'm sorry, the bed is ruined now."

"Oh, no. What's important is you and the baby. I'll change the sheet later." She rubbed the back of the brunette's head.

She hadn't got time to look at their bed. It must have been when she woke up first and Regina was still sleeping.

Her heart fell to the floor, she just hoped both Regina and the baby were okay.

Then they got changed as fast as she could and went to the hospital right after. They were glad that Henry had stayed with his grandparents the night before. So they all agreed to meet at Granny's for a bunch like always.

Emma always knew when Regina was hiding something, and this time she was not mistaken enough after they left the hospital, on their way out. She noticed Regina was walking slowly and her breath quickened quite so often. She could see Regina put her hand on her stomach now and then.

So when they got in the car she made Regina face her and tell her the truth.

Regina admitted that she got stomach pain, it was like a period of that kind of pain but stronger than she ever felt in her entire life. She had not experienced this kind of pain since she took that potion back to the land.

She called the doctor right after and was told that it was a side effect of the bleeding. It was normal. If Regina couldn't stand the pain, she could be admitted to the hospital. It was up to her choice.

.

.

.

Emma took a glance at Regina beside her. And she knew Regina was not the one who made her health the priority, to be lying on the bed at the hospital, was a big thing to her. If she could take it Regina would endure the pain on her own. And that hurt her heart.

Regina was looking fine and not a sight of pain shown on her face. But Emma knew the brunette was keeping it so she didn't worry about her too. She noticed the way Regina sat curled to herself and once in a while, a wince was on her face.

"Don't worry, I'm fine." Regina suddenly said from her side.

Emma looked ahead and sighed. She couldn't stop worrying for a second, to be honest.

"I know. I just want to make sure you're really okay."

"I have you to take care of me, I'm sure everything's gonna be fine, darling." Regina smiled and reached out to caress her clad thigh. She freed one hand and lowered down to lace their finger together.

"I'm making sure." She put their hands up to kiss the back of Regina's hand while still driving.

"Just drive us to the destination first, dear." Regina chuckled "And of course, I know that you're making sure that we're fine since you're the one who talked with the doctor most of the time."

"Yes, because you have to rest a lot and take all the medicine, and vitamins the doctor prescribed to you, babe."

"It's a lot! They're like tens in one meal." Regina pouted and let out a groan.

She let her hand go and drove with two hands instead. Her face was tensed all over again, thinking about their current citation. They still hadn't told their family about the news. They just want to make sure that this lasted for three months.

"Emma, What happened tell me?" Regina asked.

"I. I'm just so damn worried about you. I've never seen you so…weak, so vulnerable like this and it's killing me to watch you turn into a fragile state. To see you hurt and stress over this. Please don't make your mom hurt or stressed any longer?" Emma glanced downward to Regina's stomach which was still flat. She turned back on the road as she felt frustrated that she could do nothing. Her eyes welled up in worry. She just wanted to protect them, she couldn't. She had to let Regina be strong for them this time.

"Don't cry, darling. If you cry you'll make me want to cry too." Regina's voice was soft.

Her wife leaned her head to rest on her shoulder for a brief moment and she turned her head to place a quick kiss on the top of her head. "Let's hope for the best," Regina said before pulling away.

Regina let her hold her hand all the ride to Granny's without any complaint afterward.

They reached the dinner and before they got in, she pulled Regina into a hug and inhaled the light floral scent on her hair. She let her go and squeezed her hand gently.

Their family greeted them in brightness and that made them smile and focus on their family time. Their son was there, her parents. It was all perfect. And another person inside Regia's tummy as well. Emma put her arms on the back of Regina's chair as Regina leaned into her side all the rest of the bunch.

She didn't care if anyone saw them being sappy or too cheeky this morning. She just wanted comfort and to be near Regina all the time.

She even fed Regina her salad and wiped the sauce off her chin with her thumb when no one was watching. She put it in her mouth the same moment Regina turned to look at her. Suddenly her brown eyes were wide with something in them. She was very familiar with it when Regina shifted on the chair beside her. She sucked her finger dry and clean, Regina's eyes followed her mouth like a hawk.

She smiled and kissed Reigna's cheek instead.

"Good?"

"Uhh, Emma, don't you dare do that again! We're not allowed to… you know." Regina pouted a bit.

She kissed her pout away and Regina chuckled. She knew she was being too lovely and gooey over her wife and Regina knew it too but didn't mind her act of love.

"It's not my fault when you couldn't close your mouth properly!" Emma argued.

"You put the fork out too fast!" Regina gasped.

"Try again?" Emma begged with her eyes. Regina sighed with a nod. "Don't you think I don't know what you're doing? Thank you for taking care of us. I love you." Regina whispered against her ear and it made her heart swell. She felt a kiss on her neck and shivered slightly.

"I love you too." She whispered back and continued to feed Regina as her wife let her.

Henry watched in amusement along with her parents but they just kept smiling at them and didn't say anything. They continue to tell a story and eat.

Back at their house, Henry asked them to spend the weekend with his grandparents and his uncle, Neal and they let him. Regina hugged him longer and kissed his forehead, her eyes were longing and Emma understood. She told Regina to lie on the couch the minute they got home.

Emma brought Regina's dinner on the couch and grabbed water, and medicine for her. She did everything for her wife, and did not Regina get up or walk. She wouldn't risk their baby. The baby had to make it.

That night Emma woke up from her slumber when she heard whimpering noises beside her.

Regina.

She woke up, all sleepiness was gone the moment she turned to see Regina.

Her wife was curled up on her side, hands on her stomach, clearly she was not sleeping but her eyes were closed in a frown.

"Baby?" Emma hovered over Regina and brushed her hair behind the brunette's ear.

Regina turned on her back and looked up at her in pain. And her stomach clenched at the sight.

"My stomach hurts." Regina let out a groan.

"How much are we talking about?" That left Emma in alert mode.

"Like the normal cramp but--" Regina paused to take a deep breath. "It squeezed inside."

"Does the bleeding stop?"

Regina shook her head.

Emma's heart fell to the floor. She leaned down to kiss her wife's forehead several times. "I just don't want to see you get hurt," Emma murmured against her hairline.

"It's okay, I can take it, if it's meant the baby is still with us," Regina said as she curled up against her side for comfort. She wrapped her arms around Regina in a comfortable silence, hearing Regina's breath hitch every time she got a cramp.

Emma reached one hand down to rub gently on her stomach.

"Stay strong, please." She said.

Regina snuggled further into her side until she fell asleep with a frown on her face. Emma watched her wife drift off on her chest as she couldn't sleep like this. She kissed the top of her head again and rubbed Regina's back in a slow comforting circle. Not a second later she was soon follow her to sleep.

The next day, Regina was not any better, her stomach cramps worsened and the bleeding was still spotted on.

Emma took her to the hospital when Regina couldn't even walk straight, she curled into herself so Emma picked her up instead. The doctor performed the ultrasound and couldn't pinpoint where the blood was coming from. The doctor also gave Regina another dose of a miscarriage-prevention injection.

Emma worryingly chewed her lips as the doctor told Regina to not move as much as possible, except for the urge to go to the bathroom only. She rubbed her shoulder when Regina parted her lips at the news, clearly in shock and scared. She and the baby were in a risk state. They did everything they could think of. Took every medicine and consulted the doctor.

She was glad she could stay with her wife at home. She called David to take care of the station for her and told him she was taking care of Regina as Regina was experiencing her first period. That was what she told everyone who asked her about Regina's absence at the town hall.

She took a glass of water and a handful of medicine to Regina awaiting hand on the couch.

"Medicine time." Emma grinned and sat down beside Regina.

Regina sat up beside her and suddenly pasted her legs over her lap asking for a cuddle. She smiled as it was her favorite thing to do. She helped pull Regina, bringing her butt over her lap, and hugged her waist.

"I hate it, ugh," Regina complained but took the medicine anyway.

"Good girl!" Emma praised her wife and kissed her cheek once Regina put the glass down. Emma put it back on the table for her while her wife put her arms up around her neck and snuggled close to her.

She kissed the forehead below and sighed.

"Do you think we did everything we could think of?" Regina suddenly asked. Emma caressed her side.

"It's much more than we can do at this point, babe. If we're lucky, they would be with us."

"We have to keep fighting then, dear," Regina said into her neck.

"I know but I-" Emma made a sound with her tongue. "I don't want to see you hurt and stress. It hurt to see you in pain, Regina."

A soft snort from her wife and she squeezed her waist.

"Don't I know that? My stomach hurt all the time and now my back too, god." Regina chuckled.

"See?!"

"I didn't know it could hurt like this, physically and emotionally." Regina sighed and leaned up to look at her. She stared into those vulnerable brown eyes and couldn't help but lean in for a soft sweet kiss on her lips.

Regina's lips swiped along with her, the brunette grabbed her face with both hands. The kiss ended and they rested their forehead together.

"I love you," Regina said against her lips. "And I, you," Emma said back, ending with another kiss.

She was worried still, but having Regina in her arms helped a lot.

"I see that you're stressing over me, dear." Regina tried to look into her eyes as she turned her head sideways. Regina put her finger on her chin and turned her face toward her again, pulling her chin down with her fingers into another sweet kiss.

"Do you want to go see our son, then? Maybe playing with Neal would brighten up your mood? How's that sound?" Regina offered her with a small smile. Emma shook her head.

"And leave you here alone by yourself? Not a chance." Emma hardened her stare.

"What I mean is you've been taking good care of me all day today. You bring me food and take me to the bathroom, Emma. That was more than anyone has ever made it for me and I feel so blessed with you by my side. You need a break for yourself. You can go out and have fun? I don't know maybe go watch a movie with our son or play something together?"

"No, Regina." Emma raised her voice to end the discussion. "I can't, with you in this state. To even think that I have to go to work and you're here alone. It's not right. You're my world. And I want to take care of you. I don't care how stressed it made me. I'm happy to be with you. I'm just worried, that's all. But thank you for the suggestion." Emma smiled.

Regina's eyes welled up slightly at her words. Emma put her hand on her wife's cheek then and caressed her thumb over the high end of her cheekbone. Regina looked so beautiful in her lap like this. The brunette was wearing her oversized t-shirt that ended up on her thigh and shorts. Her face was bare, she could see her lips were a bit pale today. Regina rested her head on her shoulder and sighed in contentment.

"Emma."

"Yes, baby?" She looked down at her wife.

"I gotta pee again."

She laughed and Regina shot up straight in her lap, slapping her arms lightly. "What's so funny?!"

"Slowly, Regina! You wouldn't want that act to rattle our baby, right?"

Regina rolled her eyes but put her hand on her stomach instead. "It's not funny since your baby is making pee like ten times a day! That was much more than I ever could imagine I can in a day."

"And I love you for it," Emma said right into her face and Regina smiled back. "Hold on tight."

"Wha- Emma!" Regina yelped when she stood up with Regina in her arms. Regina held on to her neck tightly.

"Emma! I can walk, it's fine."

"No, I don't want any risk either. And I can carry you just fine." Emma smirked.

She put Regina on the bathroom floor and touched Regina's waist. She leaned in and said in her most seducing voice ever.

"Do you want help taking these off, madam mayor?"

"Get out, my dear sheriff. I can't hold it any longer!" Regina pushed her right out of the bathroom and closed the door on her.

Emma laughed.

She went to make them lunch. It was a simple grilled sandwich. She went with tuna and lots of herbs and fruit for Regina. She didn't forget the milk she just brought for Regina an entire pack.

Not just one pack but five of them. She couldn't lose her child's other mother their nutrients.

She brought their lunch into the living room later and was not surprised to see Regina was asleep on the couch. She placed their lunches down on the table and crouched down beside Regina. She pulled the blanket up over the brunette's shoulder. She leaned down for a kiss on her forehead and let her lips stay there.

"Wake up, babe," Emma said against her forehead as she placed yet another kiss.

She couldn't resist kissing Regina at all at this point. When Regina was trying so hard to be the home of their baby. Her wife never fell asleep in the afternoon like this. It must have taken all of her energy to make Regina fall into a deep slumber.

Regina shifted in her sleep, her eyes hazily fluttered open and stared into her green ones. She grinned.

"Hmm, 'time is it?" Regina murmured her eyes closed again.

"It's two and you have to eat then medicine." Emma went back beside her and shook Regina's shoulder lightly.

"Mmmkay, okay, I'm up." Regina finally opened her eyes and she helped Regina sit up on the couch. She sat beside her and Reigna immediately snuggled into her side and looked at her. "What's for lunch, Miss Swan."

She brushed Regina's messy hair behind her back and kissed her lips when she couldn't resist the adorable sight of the just-waken-up mayor in front of her. Her wife looked tired but still beautiful. She pulled the brunette's head down on her shoulder and let Regina cuddle with her on the couch.

She loved it. Regina being pregnant meant she was acting more sweet than usual with her and it made her heart burst every time Regina looked for hugs or kisses from her.

"Tuna sandwich and some fruits I found in the fridge," Emma said.

"Sound good." Regina nodded against her chest.

"How are you feeling?"

"Still in pain but it didn't hurt as much as this morning. Tired mostly, I want to eat and go back to sleep."

"Wow. That's the first I hear from you, Madame Mayor. Eat and sleep."

She yelped as Regina pinched her side.

"Get me my food, Sheriff."

Emma reached for their plate and put it in Regina's lap and hers. They ate in silence. After they were done, she brought their plates to the kitchen did the dishes, and hurried back to her wife on the couch.

"Stand right there, Emma."

"Why?" Emma frowned as she was about to sit back down.

Regina rolled her eyes and reached out her hand for her. Emma smiled as she took her wife's hand and pulled her up against her front, pressing their body together. Regina put her arms over her shoulder as she wrapped both arms around her waist and kissed her.

"Hmm, I'll be right back." Regina pulled away and their fingers lingered as she wanted to accompany her to the bathroom.

"Do you want me to-"

"It's fine. You can set up something for us to watch?"

"Alright!" Emma nodded and watched until Regina was out of her sight into the bathroom.

She set up a movie for them. She went for a marvel this time. Not a minutes later Regina was back in her arms on the sofa. She sat back against the armrest, opened her legs, and let Regina sit between them, resting her back against her front. She held her wife in her arms as they sat watching a movie together.

Her hands caressed Reigna's belly softly and she heard Regina let out a content sigh.

She reached for a small carton of milk and handed it to Regina. Regina sighed and accepted it.

"You will be the reason I have to get up every hour to pee, Emma."

"Sorry, babe. But you have to since the baby gets what you eat and I want her or him to have some nutrients right about now." Emma kissed Reigna's cheek and watched to make sure that Regina put the straw in and drank it.

"I'm not a kid, Emma. You don't have to watch me." Regina said

"I look because I can't take my eyes off of you, Regina. I want to make every moment count while we make sure that our baby's health turns out to be in the best condition ever." Emma said, her eyes welling up again, hoping that they would make it and next time the doctor would tell them good news.

She put her chin on Regina's shoulder and hugged her. She could smell Regina's light floral scent again. Regina had to stop wearing her favorite perfume the first week they knew they were pregnant as it made her end up in the bathroom. Regina cried but she comforted her and brought Regina a lotion instead. It smelt good as the same.

Half an hour later, she reached for her phone on the table as she got a text from Henry. She rubbed Regina's back while reading their son's text as Regina was practically lying on top of her sleeping right now instead of watching a movie.

How's mom?

Sleeping most of the time. Her stomach doesn't hurt as much but she's still tired, Hen.

That sucks :( I hope she feels better soon.

Don't worry. I'm taking good care of her, it was funny watching her eat and then sleep.

Ma! Don't make fun of my sick mother : I'm glad you're there with her.

How's your day with the grams and a toddler?

Fun, lots of activities. Neal was crawling all over the place! Giving grandma a handful, haha.

She snorted at the sight in her head.

I'm happy you're having fun, miss you, kid.

Me too, love you guys!

Love you.

Emma reached out her arms and turned the back camera on them. She took a picture and looked first before sending it to Henry. Regina was sleeping against her chest as she wrapped her arms around her back. It made her heart swell with love and she leaned down to kiss the top of her head again.

I believe you now, Ma. XD

Henry texted back and Emma chuckled.

Emma slowly and quietly slid herself out and put Regina down on the couch, putting a pillow under her head, and pulled up a cover for her. She kissed her forehead before going to freshen herself first.

It was almost dinner time. She went out and grabbed something from Granny's. She came back with an extra soup for the sick mayor as Granny instructed. She walked into the living room and was surprised that Regina was not on the couch.

She placed the food in the dining room and hurried to look for her wife in the bathroom. That was where the brunette must have been. Upon getting closer to the toilet she frowned when she heard a retching sound echoing in there.

"Regina?" She yelled before opening the doorknob.

"Don't come in!" Then another throat retching.

Her heart picked up speed in worry that Regina was sick while she was away. She opened the door and the sight made her feel guilty and bad to see Regina puking out her meal over the toilet while the brunette sat on the ground, looking as tired as ever.

"Too late, babe." Emma walked behind her and gathered her hair back, rubbing her back up and down before she heard another retching. "Feel any better?" She kept asking when Regina was silent and leaned back against her.

Regina nodded and slowly stood up. She wrapped her arms around her torso, afraid the brunette would fall as Regina swayed lightly.

"Woah, there. I was just gone for a minute and you're this bad?" Emma panicked and guided Regina to the sink, pulling back her hair as Regina washed her mouth. She went to flush the toilet and poked her head over to look and it was all milk mixed with the sandwich. Emma grimaced at the sight before flushing it down.

"I told you not to buy so many damn milk." Regina cursed when she turned around to face her again, the brunette abruptly wrapped her arms around her waist and hugged her for comfort.

"Okay. No more milk during the day, then. I guess our baby didn't like it as a snack." Emma tried to lighten the mood but Regina quietly sobbed on her making her heart clenched. She put her arms back around Regina's shoulder and rubbed her back in a soothing manner.

"Shh, it's okay. I'm sorry."

"No, I'm sorry. You have good intentions but my body doesn't cooperate."

She pulled away and wiped her tears away with both her thumbs, resting her palm against Regina's cheek as she looked closely at Regina's face. Her face was still pale.

"Oh, baby. I just want you to feel good."

"Hmm, maybe in nine months." Regina chuckled at her joke and smiled.

Emma didn't mind that Regina just puked, she leaned in and kissed her lips.

"Feeling up to a dinner before bed?" Emma lifted her brow.

"Yes. I'm famished really! after I just threw up my entire lunch." Emma snorted and kissed her forehead again.

They walked out hand in hand and as they ate dinner in the dining room. Emma told Regina about their son's text and Regina teared up lightly. She could say that she loved Regina being all sensitive during the pregnancy it was a rare sight to see.

They finished their meal and Regina took her medicine as usual. Suddenly Regina yawned across from her. She pulled Regina along to sit on her lap as she sat on a chair and Regina went willingly folding herself around her.

"You haven't stepped out of the room, and you're sleepy now?" Emma teased.

"Yes, dear. I don't think I can make it to the bedroom."

"Seriously?" Emma shook her legs and Regina went still against her "Regina?"

Suddenly Regina looked up at her from her shoulder. "Carry me?" with those pretty brown eyes, she couldn't deny anything. "With my pleasure, Your Majesty," Emma smirked.

Before she carried her woman up to their bedroom and let Regina down on the bed. Regina held onto her neck in a tight grip.

"Don't goo."

"I have to go shower, babe." Emma smiled, loving the clingy version of her wife.

"Later." Emma couldn't resist snuggling with her either so she crawled into bed with her wife. She was on her back and opened her arms for Regina to rest on her completely. She wrapped her arm over her shoulder as Regina rested her face against the crook of her neck. They fit perfectly.

"You're so warm, darling," Regina murmured.

They slept like that until Regina woke up later as she had to pee, so they both took time to shower and get to bed right then.

It went on like this for a whole week, with Regina eating and then sleeping overtook her as she was tired all the time. The best thing was her bleeding and stomach ache lessened over time.

They went back over to the doctor and got good news indeed. The doctor said that they found the baby's heartbeat was up to normal rate and the baby seemed to miraculously develop naturally in time. Emma was so happy that she cried the whole ride home and back at home, Regina had to comfort her instead.

They hadn't told anyone since Regina had just gotten past the stage of a threatened miscarriage. They wanted to make sure, really make it sure this time. So they waited for another eight weeks.

She was back at the station and she wouldn't let Regina work for a full five days. Regina agreed to go to the town hall twice a week or better yet if there was any important meeting then she would go. Otherwise, she stayed and worked from home.

No one dared to question the mayor's work schedule. If her parent asked she would tell them the same. Regina still hadn't recovered completely over her last period.

Emma would stop every lunch to be with Regina. Regina loved to cuddle with her on the couch while they ate their lunches. And now aday Regina loved to take a nap after lunch. Regina couldn't sleep properly if she wasn't there beside her as her human-size pillow.

It was a good thing when Regina's morning sickness, slowly subsided down and she didn't puke as much. Regina didn't get nauseous. At everything like before. She could eat and keep everything down as her stomach seemed to settle.

When there was no more pain, Regina was glowing with the pregnancy aura for real this time.

There was one night when she walked into their bedroom after she came home from work. She found Regina looking at herself in the mirror, her silk pajama was ridden up above her belly.

She stopped and watched with a smile when Regina caressed her belly and talked to their unborn child.

Regina's stomach was still flat but she could see the slight change in it. It looked like she was bloated after eating a big meal.

She couldn't resist any longer and walked up behind her, putting her arms around her torso. Regina was startled but welcomed her embrace.

She stared into her brown eyes in the mirror and put her hand on top of Regina on her stomach. She kissed her cheeks and Regina blushed slightly from being caught looking at her stomach and talking with their child in the mirror.

"How you guys doing? I miss you." Emma said against Regina's ear and hugged her closer.

"Good. I've never been better! It's like the first few weeks of this pregnancy were a nightmare. But now I'm so happy that we made it." Regina said with a big smile on her face.

"What do you say, we tell our family tomorrow at bunch?"

Regina turned her head to look at her. "I have no problem with that." Regina kissed her lips and she pulled her wife closer as their mouth swiped against one another. She put both hands on Regina's waist as Regina wrapped her arms around her neck and pulled her in for a deep kiss.

"Hmm. Welcome back, Sheriff." Regina said when they pulled away. A wink to her and she grinned.

Emma slowly walked with Regina back to their bed. She pulled Regina down on the bed with her as she turned to grip Regina tightly in her embrace and spooned her from behind.

"Emma! Go change first, please."

"No. You're warm and I'm lazy to move." Emma mumbled against the back of Reigna's neck and nuzzled her nose further there.

Although Regina was safe from the miscarriage stage she was still afraid of causing any harm to their baby so she and her wife agreed to put a stop to their sex for a while. But the doctor said Regina could reach her orgasm, the baby would be fine. Emma wouldn't want to risk it. She didn't want Regina to experience any kind of pain again if they could prevent it. It hurt enough to watch her wife in pain for over a week.

"Miss Swan, seriously you disgust me." Regina teased her.

"Regina. I'm so glad that peanut is in here." Emma suddenly said out of nowhere making her teasing stop. Emma caressed Regina's belly and she kissed the neck below.

"Me too. It's a miracle then." Emma let Regina turn in her arms and snuggled into her. She embraced her and kissed the top of her head.

Yes, their little miracle. She and Regina planned to have a baby for a while. At first, they went with the magic thing but it was too much of a risk since it's been a long time since they heard about a magical baby. But one night it just happened.

When they made love, Regina was writhing beneath her with pleasure.

All she could wish for that moment was she could impregnate her. Then she heard Regian gasp as she looked above them and saw their signature magical cloud swirling around them.

"Emma, what did you do?" Regina was out of breath.

"I--Are you okay?" Emma's eyes widened as she noticed a strange look on Regina's face.

"I just felt something, or an energy swirling inside me and settled inside my stomach."

They didn't think of anything when Emma just thought it was an ecstasy feeling Regina was talking about. For the next two days, Regina screamed for her when she found out that she was on period. It was shocking news since she didn't have one in forever. They went to see a doctor to make sure that Regina was alright and was surprised even to hear that Regina was pregnant. And the bleeding was from pregnancy.

"Aren't you disgusted with me longer, babe?" Emma chuckled

"No, you're warm. You're useful, dear."

Before Regina would drift off on her Emma had to say it.

"Thank you, Regina. For being strong through all this. I couldn't do it without you."

Regina had to pull away and was on her elbow to face her. She kissed her and ran her hand along Regina's arms. "I coudn't do it without you either. You're my main support in this. You're the one who takes such good care of me and the peanut decided he or she wants to stick with us. So thank you, I guess for loving me." Her brown eyes teared up, and Emma reached out to caress her cheek. Her heart swelled with so much love and tenderness for this amazing woman before her.

"I'm not trying to make you cry, I swear." Emma grinned.

"I know. It's just a hormonal thing. I tear up so easily! Yesterday Henry hugged me and I almost bawled my eyes out. He just looked like I have two heads and walked out the door in a daze."

Emma laughed through her nose.

"Wait till he knows about his mom being pregnant with his other mom, he'll die."

"Emma. Don't tease our son please." Regina glared but turned out it was a cute glare indeed as her nose scrunched up adorably at that.

Now that the risk stage was gone. Emma could enjoy the full happiness. She didn't have to worry over Regina 24 hours a day like before. But still, she would always be worried about the mother of her child.

"Okay, baby." Emma smiled and kissed her wife's lips again and again until she could hear the giggling sound from her wife. Because she knew Regina was tickling when she did that. That was when she was satisfied with her work and let her sleep in her arms.

That weekend they decided to share some good news after they went to the doctor's appointment. They did the ultrasound and Regina smiled with tears as she gasped at the sight of their baby had indeed gotten bigger. They walked out of the doctor's office with copies of their baby's picture. One to their family. She put her hand against the side of Regina's cheek and pulled her in for a big kiss on her mouth until she felt Regina smile against her lips. She was so happy.

It was time for her to enjoy the happiness of being with her family.

Not the three of them anymore but four.
