Humans are strange creatures…. thought Drago as he watched the hatchling walk away

Upon returning home from the place called a…. school? The human had left Drago inside the pocket of his backpack, which was left forgotten on the floor by the stairs. The bakugan had managed to nudge the pocket zipper open enough just to see through to the outside world. Weary of making a sound, he did not want to draw any attention to him, it was bad enough earlier in that place full young human hatchlings and that old one, and being tossed about all over the place, ugh…

Drago watched the boy approach to greet his dam who was cooking by the stove, stopping what she was doing to give him a hug in return. Drago tilted his head as he started to hear a low sound, is she…purring? Can humans do that?

The boys mother quickly nuzzled the side of his neck before ushering him away. Dan went towards the fridge, confusion on his face as he looked inside. Drago heard footsteps coming closer before his vision was blocked for a few seconds, Dan turned to greet his father, his face froze for a second before he bristled indignantly and lunged at his father…or at least the pudding cup his dad was holding

"Are all humans this boisterous or am I just unlucky" sighed Drago as he watched as the human's father keep the treasured pudding away from his son, playful growls emitting from him. Watching them made Drago think back to when he was a hatchling, when he would play with his own younger siblings like that with them, a long time ago

The duo's fun and games ended when Miyoko turned to them, irritation on her face as angrily waved the spoon in her hand, threatening hisses and snarls sounding from her. Shinjiro raised his hands nonthreateningly whilst crooning softly to placate his wife, whereas Dan flinched slightly before baring his neck to his mom. There responses seemed to have pleased Miyoko as she smiled, before stepping away from the stove to grab the pudding from her husband's hand and putting it back in the fridge, she then went back to her cooking

Seeing this piqued Drago's interest, a little, why did the hatchling act like that? Quite the opposite to how the human's personality normally seems. How and why are they making those sounds? Was it the father or mother who was alpha of the small family?

As much as Drago was curious, he quickly put the feeling aside, for that wasn't important right now. What mattered was getting back home and stopping Naga. He'll bide his time for now, maybe he can use the human for now until he can get his bearings in this strange new environment.

The Dragonoid's musings were interrupted as the backpack lurched, quickly going into ball form to give himself some protection as he was jumbled about, clamping his mouth shut so not to shout lest the humans heard him.

Blast this stupid form! Urgh I'm going to be sick!
