The Cloak

"Given your propensity for boldly stupid risks." Charlus said and shoved a cloak in his arms, "I want you to have this. It belongs to you as much as it does to me. Perhaps even more."

Harry stared in shock at his yet to be his cloak. The original grandfather of all invisibility cloaks. Rumored to be cut from the cloth of the Grim Reaper itself. Harry opened his mouth to protest but Charlus cut him off with a stern knife hand.

"You are keeping and that's final, soldier," Charlus said and Harry looked at him in annoyance. "If you want, we can get Morrigan to settle this?"

Harry winced as Charlus laughed at his reaction before patting him on the shoulder and onboarding the Leviathan.

Generalissimo Walden

With every memo delivered. With every screaming report yelled through the charms. With unauthorized retreat. Generalissimo Walden, Field Marshall of all Grindelwald's armies felt the noose tighten around his neck. Long ago, win or lose, it didn't matter. They were the first modern military of the wizarding world. The others simply couldn't keep up with their combined arms tactics. Whenever they lost, they simply hit back harder until the enemy folded. If the enemy persisted by some act of providence, Grindelwald's presence on the battlefields wrapped up the matters quickly. None of them were harmed during their military service.

The first major blow happened when Albus Dumbledore took the field. It made Grindelwald….upset…. at the defeat at Stalingrad. However, when news leaked of the Giovannis disaster and their own obscurus being unleashed at them, Grindelwald had finally lost the plot. A massive purge of the army happened. The entire Black Hand was imprisoned only Hekate knew where. Defeat was imminent. Grindelwald had once again shown his prowess by pulling an immortal army out of his rear end. They had begun winning again. All that had changed as soon as they entered Britain. From the moment they had entered, their doctrines of combined arms warfare had been turned against them.

Massive artillery strikes had killed many of their illusioned soldiers. Aerial units prevented them from massing alongside the immortal legion. What was supposed to be a siege that Grindelwald had boldly declared would last only 3 hours at most, had begun to take an entire day. The first problem happened when Grindelwald failed to break the wards at Hogwarts or the surrounding layers.

The 3 layers of English hell his soldiers had taken to calling it.

The legion too had been delayed by the sheer ferocity of the English resistance. They still had to mount the walls of Hogwarts. In fact, General Slughorn still maintained the majority of his forces. The second disaster occurred when their hopes were raised high. Ashely Redwood's infiltration of Hogwarts had been a success. However, their insanely high morale following this act had plummeted harder than anything else.

After Unthinkable, Grindelwald had sent a conscription order to recruit nearly every man, woman, and child to bolster their ranks. Given only basic training, they had survived only because the immortal legion bore the brunt of the heavy fighting. And now since the legion had failed, it was the conscripts' job to pay for their existence. Wave after wave, they were sent through the portal to storm Hogwarts in the hope that some of them might kill something interesting. Amidst these meat shields were survivors of Grindelwald's veteran armies. Their job was to go in and start a ritual to open a portal that could transport the immortal legion directly inside Hogwarts. That had failed spectacularly. Reports had come in that a few British special forces and wand companies had effectively grounded the German advance to a painful halt. The noose tightened.

The barrier plan to hold the British back while they performed the ritual had been stopped. The British had used some arcane weaponry to bring it down from the inside out. The noose tightened further.

The portal had been disrupted and now their conscripts were trapped inside Hogwarts. Through screaming reports, they had yelled about a massive Basilisk that was hunting them throughout Hogwarts. The noose tightened so much that despite the lack of its real, physical existence – Walden felt it difficult to breathe. Their entire command tent was pin-drop silent. All the aides looked at each other in fear. They were discussing something out of Luther's earshot. Luther didn't need to know what they were talking about to know what they were talking about.

The aides had two options before them. Either they could take the "L" and run off into the wider English countryside. They could change into civilian clothes and hope that the British civilians didn't recognize them and lynch them. Hope that the domestic security forces didn't capture them and imprison them in the notorious Azkaban prison. Alternatively, they could try to make stupid portkeys to chart a course back to Germany. However, that would be a stupid idea since the ancient wards around them would tear them apart.

"People." Walden said, bringing the scheming whispers to a halt, "The fight has yet to be over. Lord Grindelwald still lives and so does the legion. So, purge any traitorous thoughts from your mind before I start having field executions here."

Of course, they didn't know that the immortal legion itself was trapped in the 2nd layer of hell and they didn't know what was happening. Their conscript force was essentially annihilated. Only 1 veteran company they had spared for the worst emergencies had been with them. They were here more to ensure Walden could maintain order in his ranks rather than have them flee or turncoat. Their head, Martha Wortman, gave him a knowing look but Luther shook his head. Now was not the time to start the executions.

However, Luther knew he couldn't do anything anymore. All his forces were spent. They could only now hope that Grindelwald emerged victorious from whatever quagmire the British had trapped him in. Martha crossed his field of vision again and an idea sprung in his mind. Perhaps there was a way they could divert British force concentration away from Hogwarts…..

He turned to Martha who straightened up and saluted.

"Martha. Led your people to the hamlets nearby. Burn everything high and bright. Don't leave a single thing invisible. The English must see their people burning! Then let us see how long they stay holed in their castles!" Walden said and Martha smiled and saluted.

A Nasty Surprise

"Burn it! Burn everything to shit!" Martha cackled as her people spread out across Hogsmeade. Everything was aflame and she was ensured that the flames reached as high as possible towards the night sky. The pouring thunderstorm could do little against the relentless onslaught of magical hatred. The impure were to be purified away.

Thus, sayeth Grindelwald. Thus, Martha complied.

"Martha!" Walden's voice shouted. "You were supposed to set the hamlets aflame! Why are you wasting time?"

"But General! We are already doing that." Martha cackled as she held out the mirror, "Just look at-"

Her voice immediately choked as she looked across the sky. One by one the fires all died down and an unnatural dark seemed to settle over the area.

"B-but!" Martha protested but Walden cut her out.

"But what, Martha?!" Walden yelled. "We have a job to do! Get to it!"

The fear of a court martial held Martha back from cursing up a storm against General Walden.

What do you think I was doing, idiot?! She shrieked inside her mind.

"Schise! It's getting cold in here!" One of her men shouted.

"Colder than Russia!" Another chimed in. "And why is it so dark?!"

The men were right about the cold. The water droplets around her nose and long hair were starting to freeze. She worried for a moment about frostbite before a man screamed as if he had seen his death. Then another screamed. Soon, others followed suit and almost the entire unit started screaming in horror and blood anguish. The world seemed to be getting darker and colder by the second. The fires around them had vanished without a trace.

Martha backpedaled in a panic to get out of trouble till she stumbled into something rock-hard. Cold air breathed down her neck and overwhelmed her negligible training in the mental arts. Every bad and painful memory in her brain started to repeatedly play. A pair of ice-cold hands dragged her towards the center of the village. A tall figure glanced down at her as a pair of dementors threw her in front of him. All around her, she saw the dementors consuming the souls of her men as they wailed in horror.

The figures grew many eyes on his face, all of them malevolently red, and smiled at her. Row upon row of razor-sharp fangs crowned his mouth that belied belief. No bone or muscle could support such a structure, yet it did. Still grinning the figure dragged her by the neck and plunged its fangs in her neck.

Morrigan Grindelwald

Grindelwald sent two charging imps of dirt and water at her. Morrigan unsheathed Godric's sword and with two decisive blows, shattered them.

"Bravo! Frau Gaunt! How mighty you have grown!" Grindelwald jeered as he proceeded to dislodge chunks of ground from around him and lobbed it at her with frightening speeds. While Morrigan dodged, he transfigured the ground beneath her into slippery mud. Morrigan responded by taking to the air and Grindelwald smiled in triumph.

He non-verbally conjured a giant earthen hand that rushed to grab and slam her into the ground. However, Morrigan was faster on the draw and conjured a massive crackling orb of electricity that surrounded her in a protective cocoon. They ravaged the "hand" with powerful shock and force that shattered it.

Grindelwald frowned at seeing that, "I suppose twice would've been too lucky."

Grindelwalds eyes widened as massive arcs of electricity gathered around Morrigan and dangerously flickered towards him.

"Curamens Diabolica!" Morrigan chanted and the arcs grew a shade of sickening black.

"Aegis!" Grindelwald shouted and appeared a few meters back as the bolts struck and instantly shattered his shield. The unrelenting tendrils of malignant electricity didn't stop at that and still chased him.

"Fortis Aegis!" Grindelwald roared as multiple shields were summoned all around him at varying distances. The first two were broken without delay, it lingered at the third as it licked the shield before breaking it. Grindelwald channeled greater amounts of magic in his last shield and the black lightning failed to break it.

"Aha!" Grindelwald cheered and split his concentration in two as Morrigan too increased the force behind her attack. Grindelwald moved the elder wand in a wide arc and chanted, "Incarcerous! Falx! Diffindo!"

The spells didn't race from his wand and Morrigan narrowed her eyes in suspicion.

Behind you! A familiar voice yelled and Morrigan dashed sideways without hesitation or G-force drag. The spells raced into the empty air, one after another where Morrigan had stood.

"Ah, your darling beloved," Grindelwald said as he turned and saw a broom racing towards them at top speed. "I suspected that Mr. Petrov would be a persistent nuisance in this battle like always."

He waved his wand in Harry's direction and his broom started stalling as if under the effects of gravity. Harry didn't hesitate in leaping from the broom and even Grindelwald narrowed his eyes in suspicion at the suicidal move. A black darkness engulfed Harry and he struck the ground with a resounding thud. Dust and rock flew up in the air, obstructing their vision. Grindelwald jerked his wand towards the obstruction and a gust of wind blew it away. A tall horned monstrosity stood grinning with rows of sharps fangs ready to tear at his flesh.

"Ah, the wendigo. How nice of Kendra to send a gift from beyond the veil." Grindelwald muttered. "Still no matter, I came quite prepared to deal with the two of you."

Morrigan didn't wait for Grindelwald to and lobbed curses at him.

"Crucio!" She yelled and it splashed against his shield. "Avada Kadevra!"

A dog made of rock erupted from the earth and blocked the curse from reaching Grindelwald. The madman retaliated by pointing his wand towards the ground and murmuring something. Suddenly, the titans smashing the walls of Hogwarts halted and then turned to look at the battle below them. Grindelwald smiled with savage glee as the Titans started marching towards them.

"Impressive work, Grindelwald." The wendigo said in a bizarre human voice that resembled Harry's. Grindelwald bowed his head in acknowledgment of the compliment. Harry threw a satchel towards Morrigan who immediately gulped down the potions inside it.

Two pepper-up potions. One healing.

Relief poured through as her muscles relaxed and the exhaustion receded from her mind.

"Tradition dictates that it is my turn, no?" Harry said and Grindelwald narrowed his eyes to the creature. He pointed his wand at the vampire as if daring him to follow up with his threat. Several eyes grew all over its body and the creature made weird patterns with its long fingers. The rain around them grew more intense and the light diminished. Grindelwald hesitantly conjured a shield around himself as Morrigan and Harry circled him. The titans were nearing them, tearing through Morrigan's ward as if they were mere cobwebs.

Grindelwald felt a prickling on his forehead. He tried to ignore it in favor of focusing on the battle, but it grew more intense. Grindelwald felt like the breath and moisture instead his body had started to freeze and even breathing became painful. The irritation on his forehead now evolved into a fully blown painful lance.

"Do you know fear, dark lord?" Harry asked. "Don't worry, I will teach you."

The sky blackened again, and Grindelwald gasped in shock. Row upon row of Dementors stood above, floating in the night sky. It was as if a legion of grim reapers awaited Grindelwald's soul. Harry reached out with his mighty psi abilities and forged the sheer psychic trauma and horror of a dementor's existence into a psychic lance. Harry threw the lance at Grindelwald's occlumency and immediately shattered it. The Titans were nearly upon them as Grindelwald went down on his knees and bled from his eyes and nose. His throat went hoarse from screaming as long-suppressed memories plagued his mind.

His insecurity and discomfort around Muggles.

The horror of public lynching and show trials of alleged mages in Muggle kangaroo courts

His suppression of the manipulation and emotional torture at the hands of Kendra

His pain at repeatedly being rejected by Dumbledore. His pain at being unable to best Dumbledore in honest combat.

The fear deep down that his war was lost long and was in its final stages.

Grindelwald roared and threw up blood on the ground. Magic swirled around him in angry circles as he snarled at the smiling Wendigo standing before him. Unable to focus properly and with perpetual cold plaguing him, Grindelwald pushed a vast amount of magic away from him. Vast tracks of land were upturned, and trees uprooted and thrown away as magic rolled away in untamed chaos. The dementors too flew away higher into the atmosphere to avoid the dark lord's wrath.

Grindelwald stood up and clapped his hands together to terminate the flow of accidental magic. The storm vanished instantly, and an injured Grindelwald glared at him with barely restrained fury. His mind was still all over the place, unable to maintain complex transfigurations across the battlefields or maintain his relentless assault on Hogwarts's wards.

Ritual at 100% completion a voice intoned and Morrigan breathed a sigh of relief.

The near-translucent halo of magic around them grew ever more materialistic. Large pylons sprang from the punctured ground reaching into the stormy clouds above. Even the ravaging abominations hurling themselves at Hogwarts's walls were forced to look at the new threat. The pylons immediately came to life with a greenish halo and went to work like a domino effect. Charm triggered charm as the glow grew more intense and abominations lost their gusto.

A massive thunderstrike illuminated the entirety of the night sky. And with a massive boom the green glow engulfed all the abominations, and they fell to the ground as if puppets without strings.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!" Grindelwald roared but Harry countered any spells he threw at them. Meanwhile, Morrigan directed the energy as captive souls were torn from the abominations and sucked directly into the pylon network. Their forms grew frail as if subjected to centuries of time in mere seconds. They grew shorter, their muscles shriveled, and their horns fell from the skull. The pylons sent the souls above into the hellish vortex of the swirling dementors who relished the chance to sup on this most rare and ancient feast.

The immortal legion, since a millennium, now felt the bitter taste of mortality. The titans now charged harder, tearing through illusions Harry had enchanted.

"Kill the Titans. Get them away from us." Harry ordered and Morrigan nodded. She didn't have many words right now because she was still a bit peeved at the display of such potent psi-warfare from Harry. Her lover had certainly grown strong. Perhaps even rivaling her.

"What about Grindelwald?" Morrigan asked. The darkness soon bubbled around the wendigo's feet and Harry levitated into the air. It cleared away to reveal Harry sitting on the back of a massive spider.

"I will break him," Harry said as his claws gripped the reigns of Nanzi.

Azkaban

Rupert's trembling hands fumbled with the piece of charcoal as he scrawled the letters across the rough parchment. The dim light from the high, barred window barely illuminated his cell. The dementors had suddenly left Azkaban en masse. Leaving Rupert with a moment of clarity. It was in this fragile moment of clarity that Rupert found the strength to write. The letters were crooked and uneven, but they were legible.

Harry

He stared at the name for a long moment, the bitterness of regret stinging his eyes. He blinked back the tears, forcing himself to continue. He had to get the words out, had to make sure Harry knew how deeply he regretted what he had done.

I'm sorry. I'm so sorry for what I did. I don't expect you to forgive me, but I want you to know that I'll spend the rest of my life repenting for my sins if only you would—

His hand froze mid-sentence as the temperature in the cell suddenly spiked. The parchment slipped from his grasp, fluttering to the cold stone floor as the walls of the cell began to glow with an intense, searing white light. Rupert recoiled, shielding his eyes from the blinding brightness.

"What the fuck?" he gasped, stumbling backward until his back hit the rough wall of the cell. Panic gripped him as the air around him grew hotter, the stone walls seeming to vibrate with otherworldly energy. The light intensified, and Rupert felt his limbs grow weak, his body collapsing. His unconscious mind never registered his body levitating outside of his jail cell.

Hogwarts

General Slughorn

A battered Charlus stood and saluted, "General Slughorn."

"Ah, Potter. Status?" Slughorn asked as the basilisk swallowed an entire German witch in one scoop on his viewing screen.

"The hallways are clear, sir," Charles said. "The reinforcements got there in time, to defeat the enemy."

"Nasty little critter, eh?" Slughorn absentmindedly remarked seeing Nargulith going to work.

"I can assure you. That thing is anything but little." Charlus said.

"Makes you wonder what else Mr. and Mrs. Petrov keep under wrap, eh? I wonder where they are all going with this." Slughorn said and Charlus stared in confusion.

"I beg your pardon, sir?" Charlus said. However, before Slughorn could respond, a voice interrupted them.

Ritual at 100% completion. Ritual completed.

The defenders looked a bit confused at the declaration before a jolt of excited energy ran through them.

"The bastards are mortal now!" Grindelwald exclaimed and all over the command staff roars of cheer went off.

Slughorn linked his magic to the mirrors and rapidly shouted the orders, "Cassiopeia! Rally your artillery and rapidly bomb the bastards! Spare nothing! Fire all!"

"Wilco General." Cassie saluted.

"Dorea let the wards falter! Have them come to us now. We will drown them in our numbers!" He yelled.

"Mortimer! Charlus! Get your companies ready and bait them into attacking us. Take the serpent with you!" Slughorn shouted.

It was as if the man had de-aged a whole decade at hearing the news as he went about organizing the counterattack.

"Go now! Go! And fear no darkness! Smite them all!" Slughorn shouted.

"The visuals are now back live!" Someone shouted. "Holy hell! Harry is fighting Grindelwald!"

The room stilled at the announcement and silently made their way toward the viewing screen in trepidation.

Morrigan vs Goliath

Morrigan pointed her wand at the sky, "You fools thought you were trapping us?"

A yellow beam shot out that encompassed a vast area around them and the Titans. "You are the ones who are trapped in here with us."

The titans leered at the puny human standing before them. Morrigan responded by flying in the air and holding out her arms in a wide arc. The Titans tried to swat her, but she was always faster.

"Tempestus Invocare!" Morrigan roared as the diadem on her forehead glowed with powerful magic. The raging thunder responded to Morrigan's call, aided by the natural weather, and surged all around her in violent arcs. Like Zeus of old smiting Typhon from the top of Mount Olympus, Morrigan pointed her sword, and then the thunder struck.

The titans howled as flesh was torn and immediately burned from their bodies. Hundreds of thousands of volts of electricity flowed through them as the current earthed. Not content with mere electrocution, Morrigan levitated the sword and shouted, "Depulso!"

The sword flew at blinding speeds and entered the titan's eye, and he roared and punched around madly as his vision failed him. Morrigan grinned at the carnage as the thunder dissipated and the Titans glared at her. The Titans roared and ran towards her. Hufflepuff's cloak formed a protective barrier around her and Morrigan raced forward towards them.

She won't retreat. Not now. Not anymore.

The Final Duel

Grindelwald was short on breath as a formidable psychic pressure was again mounted pressure against his mind. A white-hot pain lance repeatedly throbbed in his brain and no healing spell would provide relief. His nose bleeds and his eyes watered, impairing his vision. Even his reflexes were dulled as instant movement resulted in an instantly worsening migraine.

"I will burn you vampire." Grindelwald growled, "In the coming empire, your kind will be a thing of myth and folklore."

Harry responded by rapidly closing the distance between the two. Grindelwald summoned shields just in time and apparated away as powerful claws shredded the shields. Grindelwald summoned stone golems around himself and once again apparated away.

"Gah!" Grindelwald couldn't help but scream as the psychic lance worsened his concentration and was further burdened by the constant apparition efforts. Grindelwald kneeled on the ground to cast diagnostic spells on himself. Grindelwald's attempts were constantly disrupted by Harry's roars of laughter as he battled Grindelwald's constructs.

"COME NOW!" Harry bellowed, "ARE THESE THE FAMED GOLEMS OF LORD GRINDELWALD!"

One of the golems punched in a downward arc only for Harry to block with his much smaller hand. Even the non-sentient creature oozed shock and confusion at the bizarre display.

"COME NOW?! WHY ARE YOU SO WEAK!" Harry yelled and thrust a knife hand through the creature's stony abdomen, instantly destroying it. Grindelwald still didn't rise to the bait, preferring to focus on healing himself, he remained kneeling on the ground away from combat.

"COME ON GOLEMS! FIGHT DAMN YOU FIGHT!" The two golems rushed Harry only for a clawed hand to materialize a wand in it. Harry conjured a fiery whip with it and slashed the golems in half. Grindelwald proceeded to conjure several different layers of shield around himself in concern as the maddened Wendigo charged him. Without missing a step Harry smashed his horns on the first layer, instantly shattering it. Grindelwald responded by channeling the energy into a single shield, exponentially increasing its strength. Despite Harry's repeated strikes, the shields refused to budge.

"I GET IT NOW GELLERT!" Harry screamed. "I WILL MAKE YOU FIGHT ME!"

Harry then placed the deathly hallow cloak around himself and went invisible.

"Homenum Revelio" Grindelwald cast but the spell came back empty. Whatever that cloak was, it certainly evaded his spells quite well.

A woman audibly moaned, "Come to mommy, Gellert! I will protect you!"

Grindelwald's eye twitched in annoyance at the attempted mockery by Kendra's voice.

"I need your hands all over me baby boy!" Kendra said, "Why don't you drop those and come play with me?"

"Cheap tricks, Petrov," Grindelwald muttered as he massaged his temple.

"Your foray into dark arts has weakened your mind, Gellert." Dumbledore's voice said.

"Weakened?! Me?! Ha!" Grindelwald said. "I killed your master, Petrov! Did you forget that?"

"You hardly killed me, Gellert. With all your strength, with all your resources, with your elder wand, and Kendra's help – you still weren't strong enough to beat me in open combat." Dumbledore said. "I know it still heckles your martial pride that the wand hasn't made you a better wizard than me, Gellert."

Grindelwald's eyes widened in shock as Albus Dumbledore came serenely walking in front of him. His wand was held in his usual, lazy by his side, stance.

"Illusions now, Petrov?!" Grindelwald screamed.

"Oh, this is no illusion, Gellert. All this is a very real, old friend. I told you that it's not the wand that makes the wizard but what's inside you." Dumbledore said. "You never were strong enough to beat my will."

"STUPEFY!" Grindelwald yelled from his protective circle but Dumbledore calmly side-stepped.

"Thus, I lived and healed from the maladies you inflicted upon me," Dumbledore said.

"Curse you!" Grindelwald said, letting his shields fall as he took the battle again. "Crucio!"

"Is that all your dark arts teach you, Gellert?" Dumbledore said as he transfigured the snow into dogs that threw themselves at Grindelwald.

"I killed you, Albus!" Grindelwald said and let a massive jet of fire melt the icy hounds.

"You did not kill me, Gellert," Dumbledore said

"Depulso." Dumbledore banished ground rocks high into the sky before summoning them back towards Grindelwald. "Haven't you heard? I am immortal. My legacy lives on in this very land. In this very school. Even now my children have beaten back your trained killers."

"Avada Kadevra!" Grindelwald fired back and then pointed his wand at the sky. A fiery portal opened up from which fireballs were strewn about all over the battlefield. The torrential downpour had no impact on their heat.

"My children who were still struggling with turning magpies into cats have bested the Third Reich. The innocence of their souls has triumphed over the malice of your Black Hand. The immortal legion has been rendered mortal. They are now dying in droves." Dumbledore said and forced the downpour into the fiery portal. "Aguamenti!"

"Die you fool! I will ensure your immortal farce burns with this school! I will ensure none name their children Albus or Dumbledore ever again!" Grindelwald screamed as he failed to keep the portal open. "Hogwarts will be a toilet for house elves!"

"Enough of this!" Grindelwald said, "Fiendfyre!"

The "Dumbledore's" eyes darkened and it transformed into Kendra Dumbledore. Kendra pulled out her wand in response and aimed it at the fiery serpent. A massive blob of water materialized and collided with the serpent. Violent gusts of steam rose into the air as Grindelwald tried to overpower the blob. The fiery serpent opened its maw to consume the blob as if it were a chicken egg.

"You are too weak to overpower the water. Open combat isn't your forte." Dumbledore's voice echoed from all around Gellert. "Use your senses, Gellert! Sneak away, recalibrate, and then counter-attack!"

"Lord Grindelwald isn't weak!" Grindelwald shouted. "I am Emperor! I do not retreat! I dominate!"

Grindelwald felt numbness in his feet and his face tingled uncontrollably, but he still didn't relent. He poured an ever-greater amount of magic into the blob and sure bit by bit, the serpent "swallowed" the blob ever deeper into his mouth. With a massive hiss, the blob vanished and the fiery serpent blazed magnificently in the night sky for all but 3 seconds before Grindelwald felt it slip from his control. The fiendfyre tried to consume Grindelwald before Grindelwald summoned a shield to protect himself.

"AH!" Grindelwald screamed before managing to overpower it with a countercurse and his own will. Unable to stand, Grindelwald fell to his knees. "Kendra's" garb fell away to reveal a cackling wendigo and Grindelwald instantly realized his error. Another massive throb of pain assaulted his fragile brain.

"Brain bleed, your majesty!" Harry sang as Grindelwald vomited blood on the ground. Seizing his moment, Harry reappeared behind Grindelwald and reared his hand back in a triumphant laugh before plunging his fangs into Grindelwald's neck.

Grindelwald felt life from him drain away as he felt his vision start to go dark. Meanwhile, Harry lapped the mighty dark lord's raw life force. He could see why the Giovannis were so obsessed with consuming the likes of Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald.

"I won't- I can't lose!" Grindelwald slurred as he gripped the elder wand with all his might and swung backward, catching Harry straight in his face. Harry was knocked straight back into a wall. A massive shadow fell over him before Grindelwald rolled out of the way. A massive spider fell where he was, but the creature didn't relent and was on him in an instant. In his weakened state, Grindelwald could launch mere stunners that easily deflected off the spider's thick hide.

"Curse you, Petrov!" Grindelwald slurred as the spider knocked him back with a strike from its front legs. He felt a forearm crack from the force of the attack. The spider raised its stingers in anticipation before lowering itself back down and scurrying back away. Harry Petrov stood behind him, back in his human form.

"Is that it, Dark Lord?" Harry mocked. "Was that all you could conjure?"

"Having fun are we, Petrov?" Grindelwald wheezed. "When the muggles descend on us – I hope they tie you to the burning pyre first."

"They won't come, Grindelwald. I will drain their veins dry just like did it to you." Harry said and grabbed Grindelwald's arm. "Sectumsepmra!"

The arm was clean from its elbow. Harry placed the ring on his finger and gingerly held up the elder wand. The invisibility cloak cheered in jubilation at being reunited with its siblings.

"So close… I was so close…" Grindelwald gasped at recognizing the Deathly Hallow's reunion.

"Can you imagine it, Grindelwald? Witch, Wizard. Muggleborn or Pureblood. Veela, werewolf, centaur, goblian, and more- all working together to create a world that will never be threatened again? Even the muggles would break before such might? An equal world. A better world." Harry said as he admired the elder wand in his hand.

"Freak?! Mudblood?! Slaves and Filth?! Our equals?! HA!" Grindelwald spat. "I'd rather die before breaking bread with them."

"And so you die," Harry said as he bit Grindelwald's neck again and supped lavishly. It was a while before a pop sounded near him. Harry pushed Grindelwald's lifeless body away from him and then grabbed his head before tearing it clean off. He looked up to see Morrigan slowly walking towards him.

"Is he…." She trailed off at seeing Harry raise the man's decapitated head before Harry laughed like a barbarian king. Harry then turned his attention to the wider battle being fought as the abominations tried to scale the walls. He held the elder wand up and chanted, "Reparo!"

In an instant, a purple hue wrapped itself around the Leviathan as the magical contraption hummed back to life and started to take flight. When it had gained sufficient altitude, Harry ordered it to fire relentlessly at the abominations below. Massive purple explosions soon rocked the battlefield as the abominations died in their hundreds.

"The wand chose you!" Morrigan exclaimed.

He pocketed it to the side before marching straight to Morrigan, grabbing her face, and forcing her into a deep kiss.

This time, Morrigan didn't hesitate and matched Harry's passion with equal vigor. The two lovers embracing each other in a perfect time – the warm afterglow of a victorious battle.

FIN

Author Notes: I am taking an indefinite break from writing. I don't know when I will be back. Hopefully, it won't be long .

With that said, this covers the first of the four arks I have planned for the story. The next ark will involve politics and spec ops more than open battles like this one. New enemies and old friends will return from the fold. I thank everyone for their reviews. Most were negative, and some were positive. All were educational. I can assure you; that this is/was my first fic and I have learned a lot since I started last year. I will only grow better from here on. Meanwhile, if you get bored of no updates, don't forget to check out my oneshots.
