Hicca's Forge
Hicca was working on her talon's doing some repairs on them not paying attention to anything. Her thoughts drift to Ash and his lot. She is convinced that he is a traitor but has no proof. She sighs as she picks up the newly sharpened talons and puts them on. A moment after the devil himself comes in then stops. Hicca looks up, glares tightening her talon to her leg and she asks coldly, "What do you want?" Ash smirks, then answers, "Looking for you." Hicca raises her leg up to test the leg then puts her foot down. She fully turns to him, "Why?" He responds stepping closer, "You stole something from me in Berk. Something that was rightfully mine." Hicca continues to glare at him as he continues, "You stole the title that was to be mine. You never deserved that. You are weak and you are the one who got it."
Ash stops in front of her standing tall, but Hicca matches him then says, "I never asked for it. Have it if you want it so bad." Ash shakes his head then says, "The only way I get it is if I beat you in combat. I have to kill you to gain it." Hicca lets out a low hiss, "But since I can't kill you how about we fight for it." He lunges at her so fast that Hicca was not fast enough. They tumble out of her forge and they both fall to the lower levels. Other owls see this but don't intervene but they do watch.
Toothless does see this and he does begin to dive down, but he is stopped by Stormfly. He turns to her shouting, "What are you doing?! He will kill her!" Stormfly answers, "No he won't. She can beat him Toothless." Toothless looks back to see that she throws Ash away from her and now they are facing off. Stormfly pleads, "She can and will beat him. Hicca has something he does not." Toothless watches his mate and Ash lock talons then he answers, "She has heart." He watches with baited breath as do the other owls. Back with the fight Ash manages to throw Hicca down but she is able to twist and fly up and away. Ash follows her yelling, "FIGHT ME YOU COWERD!"
Hicca responds by grabbing a banner then drops it in front of him, but Ash dodged it, "That won't work you runt!" Hicca continues to fly away but while she looks for a way to get away Ash catches her, but he grabs her talon. She pulls away leaving the talon behind. Ash throws the talons down and flies after her. The band of owls follows, keeping well out of the way. Toothless leads the pack just so he can see his mate at all times.
The case takes them to the jagged rocks and when Hicca makes a loop to turn around Ash is nowhere to be seen. She looks around quickly only to be hit from behind. She is shoved towards the rocks while Ash takes off. Hicca was barely able to pull away from the rocks and now she turns to face Ash. They charge each other again and lock talons. Well, Hicca uses her remaining talon to hold on, but Ash uses his other talons to slash. He hits her face leaving a massive gash and taking a few feathers.
Ash spins around to throw Hicca but she holds on and goes into a dive. Ash can see that they are coming up on the ground faster and faster. Then at the last possible second, he lets go and they both fly back up. Hicca yells, "Give up Ash! You won't win!" Ash screeches loudly and charges again. Hicca too charges and as they are about to lock talons Hicca folds her wings in and turns upside down. Ash is too slow to respond as Hicca slashes his chest. Ash screeches in pain as Hicca back dives down then she flies under him. When Ash is able to stabilize himself he is then body slammed causing him to be pushed further down. Ash again stabilized himself and wastes no time in moving.
By the time he turns around Hicca is nowhere to be seen. The owls in Haven don't see her either and they even look around for her. Toothless and the gang also look and that is when Hookfang says, "I see her." The others look to see Hicca flying up at Ash. While Ash did hear but when he looked down he slashed at Hicca but missed. Hicca rolled out of the way and slashed his wing making him flightless. A second later he is falling fast. No owl helps him, not even the owls he led.
Hicca dives down after him to grab him before he hits the sharp jagged rocks. Hicca carries him back to a lower platform. She drops him not so gently then lands in front of him. Ash closes his eyes then demands, "Be done with it." Hicca pulls him to his feet which surprised Ash so much that he stares at her in shock. Hicca then says, "That will be your only warning from me. I am granting you mercy just this time." Ash remains silent as the owls of Haven land and watch, "I am not a killer. That does not make me weak. I fight every day to survive. Berk did not break me. My father did not break me. You will never break me." She pauses for a moment looking away from Ash then says, "You need to let go. Berk is the past."
Ash watches as Hicca takes off back to her forge with her friends following. The other owls that were watching also leave. Ash is left with his thoughts and for the first time he watches her leave not with hate but with something in his eyes. He looks at his broken wing, sighs then makes his way to the healers hallow. Meanwhile, watching from above is the King and Cloudjumper. The King says, "That young owl just proved that she is the one." Cloudjumper says, "Yes. But she can't just die. She deserves a chance. I will not let her." The King says, "You are letting your judgment cloud you. Just because she is you-" Cloudjumper cutes the King off, "Don't you dare. No one can know the truth. It will put her in more danger." The King says, "Then you will do what is required when the time comes. The Red Death will die by her talons. But She must die alongside The Red Death." Cloudjumper stomps his foot, "She will live!"
The King shakes his head, "No. She will die. No matter what you do." The King then walks away then says as he walks, "She believes Stoick is her father. Let her continue to believe that. We both know that Stoick is not her father." The King walks away leaving Cloudjumper to his thoughts he thinks, "I will find a way to keep you alive Hicca. Even if it means I give my life up to do it. I was not there when you needed me most." He watches the owls of Haven go about the day talking about the fight between Hicca and Ash. Cloudjumper is proud of Hicca, his owlet.
Auther's Notes: First thing I would like to apologize for not posting a chapter on Friday I had sever writers block and I did not want to post a chapter that was just me saying, "Not a chapter." I did not want to do that to anyone and everyone who reads. I making sure I never miss a Friday posting. So, this coming Friday I will post chapter 18 and be back on schedule.
