"I can't believe it!" said a red-haired beauty. This was Stella Vermillion, the second princess of the Vermillion Empire. Stella was a beautiful young woman of average height with a beautiful face, white skin, and ruby eyes. She had long crimson hair tied into twin tails using yellow ribbons. She had a bewitching body, and her boobs were very, very big, and a voluptuous figure. She was currently wearing the Hagun female school uniform.

Stella was born with 30 times the mana of a normal Blazer, viewed as a prodigy appearing once a decade. In order to aim for greater heights, Stella decided to study abroad in Japan as a first-year student at Hagun Academy.

Hagun Academy was one of the seven Mage-Knight academies located in Japan, spanning an area said to be more than ten times that of Tokyo Dome. Unlike many other academies, Hagun had no intuition fees or other kinds of expenses that the students needed to pay, making it ideal for poor students. However, Hagun was also stricter on taking in students, as new students required at least a general level of abilities and capabilities.

Stella wasn't in a good mood. She just witnessed something unbelievable! She was living together with a boy named Ikki Kurogane together as roommates in the dormitory. The first meeting between them was anything but normal or pleasant for Stella. Ikki walked into the one-room apartment when she was changing and was basically only in her underwear. She wanted him to do hara-kiri, but in the end, she fought against Ikki.

Ikki Kurogane was known as the Worst One, an F-Rank Blazer with basically no mana. He had no magical abilities like her, so she thought she would win without any problems. But she remembered that placing people in the same box because of their statusas everyone else was the very reason she came to Japan. Back in her home country, everyone looked at her and thought that she was an outstanding talent and nothing else.

So, she did the very thing she despised the most. She apologized in the aftermath and even began to respect Ikki for his abilities. Since he won the fight in the end with his abilities, he managed to create a Nobel Art that had nothing to do with manipulating gravity or fire… no, his Noble Art enhanced his physical abilities multiple times in a way where he could win against Stella.

She even began to see him as someone special after some time. She would look at him and smile… but now she was just furious thinking about his face. Today, the little sister from Ikki came to the Hagun Academy, and she was with Ikki when they met the little sister of the F-Rank Blazer.

After both siblings said hello to each other, the little sister kissed Ikki! She couldn't believe it like everyone else around them. The little sister of Ikki definitely had something wrong in her brain to think this was something normal. She talked to Ikki about how this was normal between siblings in certain countries. Every student around them denied this statement, and Ikki even tried to talk to his little sister, whose name was Shizuku Kurogane, but she ignored those calls and spoke to him about the love between thesiblings.

That Ikki didn't press her back when she kissed him was the first thing, but when he did everything his little sister wanted from him, Stella walked away. She hoped Ikki would snap back to reality this way when he saw her walk away since she even said she would go, but he didn't even bother to look at her. He was too enchanted by his cute little sister, kissing him senselessly.

Every time she thought about it, her blood began to boil, and she became furious. That this idiot couldn't defend himself against this obviously wrong situation pissed her off greatly. He even looked flushed… like he enjoyed the situation. She couldn't believe it!

"Hey, isn't that the new F-Rank student?" asked a female student to another. Stella stopped when she heard this question. She was currently walking outside of the school towards the dormitory. A group of students was standing on the side of the path, looking toward a single student who was doing push-ups. He wore a black tracksuit with white lines on his sleeves.

"Yes. I heard he managed to enter the academy because he undertook a test under director Shingūji and passed it," said the male student beside the female student. "It is said that he had to fight her and even managed to injure her."

"What? No way! That can't be true. How could an F-Rank injure the director?" asked another student.

"Are you sure? You saw the duel between the princess and the worst one! No one thought he could win, but he won in the end against Stella Vermillion!" said another student.

"You compare a student to our director! She is on another level! She is the rival of the Yaksha Princess! Even if Ikki Kurogane managed to win against Stella Vermillion, that means nothing compared to the statement of an F-rank student managing to injure the director! You are delusional if you think this student could really injure our director," said another student.

Stella looked at the F-rank student and thought about remembering him at the welcome ceremony. He was not too far from her in the audience when the director gave her welcome speech to the new students of the Hagun Academy. But now that she heard it… the director had, in fact, a few bandages around her left hand the last 3 days. Did that mean this student really managed to injure the director?

The student had spiky blond hair, ocean-blue eyes, and six whisker marks on his cheeks. She even meant that this student was in the same class as her and Ikki since there was already a lesson where information about the Seven Stars Sword Art Festival was given to the students. She thought to remember that his name was Naruto Uzumaki. He sat at the far back of the classroom, alone. He smiled but was quiet during the lessons. Not that Stella really noticed this since she was too concentrated on either Ikki, the girls who tried to flirt with Ikki, or the teacher.

The students discussed the topic, but they continued walking. Stella remained stationary, not really knowing why. She watched Naruto do push-ups. Something seemed off about the way he did push-ups. She didn't know what, but there was something that didn't seem right.

'Wait a second… why are there cracks in the ground beneath his hands and shoes?!' thought Stella, looking at the spots where his hands and shoes were. It looked like a massive weight was putting pressure on the ground, and thus, the cracks appeared.

'What the hell?' thought Stella. Her anger about Ikki and Shizuku was replaced by confusion and bewilderment. How could the body of a normal human pressure the ground so much during a regular push-up?

Naruto turned from his push-up position into a handstand position, letting the cracks in the ground get wider around his hands. His face twisted into a painful expression before he frowned, becoming stoic afterward. He bent his arms downwards, letting his body sink a little before he stretched his arms again with a lot of struggle. He did this a few times before he let his body fall and stood up in the motion.

He sighed, taking a deep breath of fresh air. He swept away the sweat from his forehead with his forearm before he looked to the side, seeing the famous princess of the Vermilion Empire. He looked surprised but smiled and waved at her, greeting her politely.

Stella waved back with a neutral expression on her face. Naruto looked away after he saw her wave back, looking for his water bottle. "Ah, there it is!" said Naruto to no one specific, walking five steps before picking up a water bottle. He opened the water bottle and drank the entire bottle empty in one go.

He sighed in satisfaction when he felt hydrated again. He lost a lot of water through sweat during his intense workout, which ended a minute ago. He took the backpack that stood on the ground and placed the empty bottle into the backpack. He rolled his shoulder a little, feeling it cracking.

He placed the backpack on the ground again to open his tracksuit jacket, revealing a white t-shirt underneath the tracksuit jacket. But there was also something else. If Stella saw it correctly, then she could only think about weights. This would at least explain the cracks on the ground… but how much did those weights weigh? It must be a lot, considering the cracks on the ground.

Naruto removed the weights from his upper body and placed them inside his backpack, closing the backpack afterward. He placed the backpack lazily over one shoulder before he began to walk away from the scenery, leaving a confused princess behind.

Stella looked behind her and saw two people she didn't want to see. Ikki and Shizuki were walking together over the school grounds… hand in hand. Her head went red from anger, and she stormed off in the opposite direction from those two… she didn't even know what they were—definitely not normal siblings.

Stella had a few tears in her eyes while she ran away from the two. She didn't even know why her heart hurt so much. Why did she feel so jealous? It wasn't like she was Ikki's girlfriend or something. She only knew him for a week! How could it be she felt so hurt seeing him with another girl?

"Wow! Careful!" said a male voice. Stella stopped dead in her tracks when she realized she almost ran someone over. The male who stood there with his body bent backward, away from Stella, was Naruto Uzumaki, the other F-rank student of Hagun Academy.

She took six steps back immediately to bring some distance between herself and Naruto. "I am sorry; I didn't mean to run you over," said Stella with her head held low. She tried to hide her tears from this student, but she had only seen them from a distance until now. She wished them away swiftly to hide them before she looked up.

Naruto smiled apologetically and said, "Please! You don't need to apologize. You seem to fight with something, so I don't want to make whatever you fight with more troublesome. Let's pretend this never happened. Would this work with you, Stella?"

Stella looked a little surprised at his facial expression. He held both hands up as if he wanted to show her it was nothing and he wasn't hurt. His eyes were closed, his lips were formed into a nervous smile, and his eyebrows were in an ankle you would see when someone wasn't sure what to say.

"You said my name," said Stella.

Naruto opened his eyes, confused. He didn't know what that statement was about. Everyone knew who she was. She was the once-in-a-decade genius and the second princess of the Vermillion Empire. His eyes widened when he realized that he had said her name casually without addressing her properly as Princess Stella.

"O-oh, I am so sorry, Princess! I didn't mean to address you so casually," said Naruto. "I hope you can forgive me."

Naruto didn't expect the reaction he got from Stella. Stella had to hold a hand before her mouth because she began to giggle before laughing. "Uhm…" Naruto didn't know what happened here. Why was Stella laughing all of a sudden?

"Oh, please excuse me," said Stella, still giggling a little. When she got herself under control again, she continued her speech. "Everything is okay. You can call me Stella. I even prefer it this way from people my age. I am a student like everyone else, so please continue to call me Stella."

Naruto smiled, unsure. "Ok, as you wish, Stella. I am relieved that you aren't mad at me. The last thing I want is a beautiful girl being angry at me."

Stella blushed a little from the sudden compliment but more of embarrassment. She wasn't used to being called beautiful all of a sudden. When Ikki called her beautiful, she reacted almost the same way she does now. Her sheltered upbringing was a part of the reason she reacted this way. People normally never dared to compliment her so openly since she was a princess and a "talent," as they call her.

"Well… it was an honor to meet you personally, Stella. I hope you can forgive me, but I wanted to go to a different spot to finish my training for the day," said Naruto.

"Your training?" asked Stella.

"Yes. I still need to run 40 kilometers before the sun goes down. It will take some time, but it's part of my daily training," said Naruto. "You should have heard by now that I am a F-rank Blazer. I am lucky that I have more mana than a typical F-rank Blazer, but nonetheless, I am still at the end of the food chain. I can use mana, but since I have so little, I need to have a stronger body so my mana usage is more efficient."

"You run 40 kilometers every day?" asked Stella, a little surprised. She had trained with Ikki already once, running 20 kilometers with him. Hearing someone running twice the amount Ikki did every day was strange. Twenty kilometers were already pretty tiring, but forty?

"Yeah. Normally, I wouldn't make it, but with mana enhancing my body, I can endure the 40 kilometers," said Naruto.

"How long can you use mana when you can run so long?" asked Stella. The more she heard from the supposed "F-rank," the more suspicious she got. There was no way an F-rank would have enough mana to enhance his body for so long.

"I hope you don't misunderstand this, but this is something I'd rather keep to myself," said Naruto, smiling and apologizing. "But I don't rely on mana as much as you might think, Stella. I trained my stamina since my fourth birthday. I had already begun to run when I was just a kid. I grew up in an orphanage and had no other thing to do since I was always alone. The other kids were adopted early on, and I was mostly the only kid in the orphanage. The foster mother who was raising me in the orphanage didn't really know what to do with me. Since she always trained to stay fit, she took me with her one day, and from there on, I began to train with her every day."

"Oh, I see," said Stella. "I am sorry for asking."

"Oh, don't worry. I am fine," said Naruto, smiling. "I am grateful for everything she did for me. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't be here today."

Naruto looked at the watch on his wrist and saw the time. "Oh! I really need to get going," said Naruto. "It was nice talking to you; I hope we can talk again after the next class, maybe."

"Wait!" said Stella. Naruto had already turned around when Stella stopped him. "Is something else, Stella?" asked Naruto.

"It may sound weird, but can I join you? I need to clear my head of something, and a long run might be the right thing for me now," said Stella. Since she hadn't trained yet, she still was full of energy. She wanted to train with Ikki after the lesson, but then they ran into Shizuku, and everything went wrong.

Running 40 kilometers would definitely be a way to exhaust herself and keep her from thinking about that bitch and her idiot of a brother. Naruto's company also wasn't unpleasant. He was easy to talk to.

"Uhm… don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with you joining me… but do you really need to do this? With your mana capacity, you should be good to go. You can enhance your physical strength with your vast mana reserves many more times than a normal Blazer. I need to do this physical training, but you shouldn't need to do this," said Naruto.

"Wouldn't it be better to train something else to take your head off things?" asked Naruto.

"No! I want to run the forty kilometers with you!" said Stella with a narrowed glare. Naruto raised both hands in defense and said, "Ok!" Stella smiled, satisfied. "Ok, where do you begin your run? I will quickly change into my training clothes before joining you."

"Ok… I will wait for you at…" Naruto told her where he wanted to start, and she nodded, walking away toward the dormitory. He looked after her, confused. 'I don't really get it… but I don't complain about it,' thought Naruto.

Usually, he was alone since he was more focused on his training, and since he was a F-rank Blazer, he was looked down upon. Many tried to make fun of him, but unlike Ikki Kurogane, he fought back and made it clear that he didn't let anyone pick on him. He put many bullies in their place when they thought he would be an easy target.

He shrugged and began to walk toward the starting point of his run. He would need to wait a few minutes, but since it wasn't too far away from the dormitory, Stella should arrive 15 minutes after he arrived.

When Naruto arrived, he placed his backpack on one of the benches on the side of the path. He sat down and closed his eyes, practicing a special breathing method since he had the time. He closed his eyes, placed his hands on his kneecaps, and sat straight, slowly breathing in and out. It helped with replenishing his used energy. It was a special breathing technique that helped him relax and recover his stamina faster.

He was broken out of his meditation when he heard a familiar female voice calling out to him. "Huh?" Naruto looked around and realized the sun was already setting. 'Did I really meditate this long?' thought Naruto. Usually, he would end his meditation after 30 minutes, but he just meditated for at least 2 hours.

"Stella?" asked Naruto.

"I am so sorry!" said Stella in a pink tracksuit. "You really waited all this time, and I didn't inform you."

"Oh, please, everything is okay. To be honest, I didn't even realize how fast time passed since I arrived. I meditated to relax a bit, and the next thing I hear is your voice. It may sound strange, but for me, it wasn't like two hours. It felt like I meditated for around 10 minutes at max," explained Naruto.

"Meditation has such an effect?" asked Stella.

"It can have such an effect, yeah… but this isn't so important right now. What happened? You aren't so late without a reason, I assume," said Naruto.

"Well… I was called to the director, and I had to get some things done there. But everything is sorted out now, and we can run now if you still want to," said Stella. She would love to run with Naruto now since it was necessary. She needed to take her head off from things that happened in the last two hours.

She would explain it to Naruto after the run since it also had to do with him, but right now, she wanted to clear her head. "Okay, then let's begin," said Naruto, standing up.

"But I must warn you, Stella. I run at full speed the entire time. If you can't keep up, run at the speed you can handle," said Naruto.

"What? You want to run at full speed the entire length of the run?" asked Stella.

"Yeah. As I said, I began my training very early in my life and have enough stamina to endure it," said Naruto.

"Ok… but I will not give in. I will run also at full speed!" said Stella, determined.

Naruto smiled and said, "Okay. Then let's begin." Both walked away from the bench a few steps and positioned themselves next to each other at the beginning. "Are you ready?" asked Naruto.

Stella looked at him and nodded. "Ok… go!" Naruto dashed at full speed away, leaving Stella behind with a baffled face. She took a second to notice that Naruto had started. She narrowed her eyes and ran after Naruto at the maximum speed she could produce. Usually, someone would think that she would have no problems catching up with him by using mana to enhance her body. But to her surprise, she couldn't get any closer to Naruto. He was already a reasonable distance away from Stella, and she could barely see him running at full speed along the path.

'I already thought that he had a better physical condition than Ikki, hearing he runs 40 kilometers at full speed, unlike Ikki who runs 20 kilometers in a more relaxed tempo… but that I can't catch up to him is still so unbelievable,' thought Stella, concentrating on her breathing at full speed. It was important not to breathe too fast. Otherwise, the body would get tired faster.

After countless hours of training her mana in her childhood, she managed to get reasonable mana control, but she still wasn't at its peak. She could still improve in terms of mana control since she had a B instead of an A in Mana Control. She was never someone who gave up, so she concentrated on using everything she had to keep up with Naruto.

Two hours later, Naruto stopped at the same bench where he began his run. The sun had gone down, and slowly but surely, the stars were appearing on the horizon. He looked at the watch on his wrist to make sure he still had time to walk back to the dormitory.

'30 minutes until we need to be back to the dorms… good,' thought Naruto. He opened the backpack he had left behind and took two water bottles out of there. He opened one and drank it empty like the last one he opened.

"Ah… that hits the spot," said Naruto, satisfied. After the long run, his body was always shaky. Wouldn't it be for one of the techniques Naruto created, then he would be lying on the ground. But thanks to Naruto's created technique, he wasn't too exhausted, even after that intense long run.

He looked at the direction he came from and could see a panting Stella stumbling toward him. He chuckled, seeing her exhausted expression. 'She really kept up almost the entire run… talk about impressive. If I had tried this without this much stamina training, I would be a mess. I am only able to stand and function normally thanks to the technique I created,' thought Naruto.

'Her mana capacity is truly out of this world,' thought Naruto.

Stella stopped before Naruto, completely exhausted. If it weren't for her high mana reserves, she wouldn't have been able to keep up. Running 40 kilometers at a more relaxing tempo wouldn't have been so exhausting, but running at full speed the entire time was exhausting.

"Good work," said Naruto, holding the other water bottle in her direction.

Stella gasped for air, taking the water bottle out of his hand. She opened it and began drinking. Naruto smiled and looked up at the stars, sitting down on the bench. They still had a few minutes to spare before they would need to goto the dorms.

Stella silently sat down beside him, sighing, relieved to sit after that intense run. She took the water bottle from her mouth and looked at Naruto. 'How is he still looking like that? I can't believe I am more exhausted than him,' thought Stella.

"Naruto… there is something we need to talk about before we return to the dorms," said Stella.

Naruto looked at Stella and said, "Hmm? What's wrong?"

"You lived alone until now, right?" asked Stella. Naruto nodded and said, "Yes. I don't have a roommate yet, but I will get a roommate in the next fewdays. Director Shingūji told me that there was supposed to be someone who came a few days later than planned to the Hagun Academy.

"The reason I was so late had to do with this situation," said Stella. She didn't know exactly how to explain it to him since she couldn't live with Ikki in the same room anymore. She wanted to keep living with him in the same room, but after she went to change her clothes after meeting Naruto, she ran into Ikki and Shizuku again.

They made out before their apartment, and that was the final straw. She headed straight toward Director Shingūji to talk with her about this situation. If it had been only the one time when Shizuku kissed Ikki, then it would have been bearable, but seeing that nothing changed between them was unbearable for Stella.

She hoped Ikki would have come to his senses and talk some sense into his little sister, but it turned out that his little sister had complete control over her big brother. He was doing anything she asked him to. He even seemed to enjoy it from what she saw. She couldn't keep living with Ikki now… she simply couldn't. It was impossible for her.

When she talked with Director Shingūji about the entire thing, she had to tell the truth, even when she was embarrassed about it. Director Shingūji sighed about the situation and told her about a student who was supposed to be Shizuku's roommate from today on and that he lived alone since Shizuku came a few days later.

Director Shingūji said to Stella that she could switch with Shizuku and become the new roommate from the student who lived alone until now. Since this was in Stella's favor, she had hoped it would be a girl this time, but that wasn't the case. Her discomfort was there, but everything was better than to live with the guy who made her heart ache so much under the same roof. She accepted and asked for the name of the student.

When Stella heard the name of the student who lived alone, she sighed in relief. As it turned out, it was none other than Naruto Uzumaki who lived alone and was supposed to be Shizuku's roommate since Shizuku was a B-rank Blazer and Naruto an F-rank Blazer. High rank, and low rank… Director Shingūji had the same intentions there as she had with Ikki and Stella at first.

Placing the worst and the best together of the year to balance things out. Director Shingūji told Stella to go and pack her things so that everything would be done as fast as possible. She would take care of the rest. Stella did as told and got a new key for the new apartment she would use from now on.

It was apartment number 208, far away from 405, where she originally lived. She was glad about it. She was lucky that Ikki and Shizuku were summoned to Director Shingūji to talk about the new arrangements, so Stella had enough time to pack her things and bring them over to the new apartment she would live in.

After she brought her things over to her new apartment, she quickly changed into her pink tracksuit and rushed to Naruto.

"To make it short… I am your new roommate," said Stella.

"Huh?" Naruto looked at Stella, baffled and confused. "You are my new roommate? But I thought you were roommates with Ikki Kurogane. Weren't you fighting him because of that reason?" He saw the duel between Stella and Ikki, and that's why he knew about it.

"Yeah… but things changed. I will tell you another time, but right now, I don't want to talk about the reason why this change happened. I only wanted to inform you why I came so late. I was first talking with Ms. Shingūji and afterward packed my things and brought them over to our apartment," said Stella.

"Well… this is unexpected," said Naruto. "Are you even okay with me as aroommate? Technically, we only know each other for 4 hours," said Naruto.

Stella smiled and nodded. "Yes. Shall we head back?"

Naruto nodded and stood up, taking the backpack and placing it on his shoulder. "Yeah, we need to get going. Otherwise, we could get in trouble for being out too long."

Stella nodded and stood up, having rested a bit. At least her legs weren't shaking anymore by simply standing still.

The new roommates slowly began to walk toward the Hagun Academy dormitories. No one could know what this situation would trigger and change in the lives of those two—one girl who was hailed as a once-in-a-decade talent and a boy who was at the very bottom.
