"Candles?" "Check," Cat said. "Tea, blankets?" "Check, check, and check. I think we have everything. Its not a scary movie, isn't it?" Marinette shook head, taking his hand. "No, but that would have been a good idea, it being so close to Halloween." They sat down on the floor, and Marinette got the movie ready.

Cat put one hand on her waist and one on her arm. Marinette looked at him, her face pink with surprise. "Just in case I get scared." "Have you thought about Halloween, Kitty?" she asked, pouring them some tea. Cat sighed. "I'd love to go out, but I don't have that many friends besides you and Ladybug. Guess it will be a quiet night in."

Marinette's heart went out to her partner. "Cheer up, we'll think of something. Meanwhile, you can help with getting the bakery ready for Halloween. Its always such a busy time of year." Cat grinned, his eyes glowing in the darkness. "And helping means snacks, right?" Marinette had to laugh at his hopeful face. "What happened to helping your best friend?" "Hey, you know I love you." "Yes, I do. And I love you too, just not at two a. m. in a thunderstorm and you scared and come needing a cuddle."

"I barely bother you, as I have my comfy box," Cat gestured to the large cardboard box that Cat frequently napped in. "I'm glad you find it comfortable. Come on, let's watch the movie."

The friends got lost in the story, but soon Cat felt something against his chest, and looked down. Marinette. She fallen asleep against him, looking beautiful as always. Cat didn't notice the two ghostly faces at the window as he carefully took Marinette up to bed.

It wasn't actual ghosts, it was two members of the Guardians to check on Ladybug, and what they had seen through the window was a very good sign. "Can we visit the bakery tomorrow too?" one of visitors asked his companion. "Shh."

Cat was now up on the balcony, ready to leap into the night, and took on last look back, blowing his Princess a good night kiss.
